I'm surprised there are no berry notes listed in the opening. For me, this scent is about rich, dark berries over a base of moss and musk. I loved it when I first smelled it, in the 90s when my late father gave it as a gift to my mother, and I love it still. Look for the original Burberry version, not the later reformulation by another company. The original version will say "By Burberrys" on the box and on the bottom bottle label, under the perfume name. There's also an image of a white knight on horseback on the original's red, rounded bottle cap. For a special treat, layer the original version under a quick spritz of Hanae Mori!

Society is one of the best Osmanthus perfumes I have smelled to date. It smells like natural osmanthus. I love this perfume, this is the Osmanthus scent I've been searching for. A super stunning yellow floral/floral perfume. Why do they discontinue these older gems? This smells like class, elegance, and like old money. Gorgeous. I will be buying more mini's of this beautiful scent. If you love osmanthus you need to find a bottle or a mini. Edit: 6/13/22 This has an osmanthus/orange blossom darkly seeped smell. Like all of the notes have been steeped to make a darkly brewed tea. Really lovely.

Bought this out of curiosity... because its compared to my belove scent tribu. I personally cant detect the resemblance of these two. Maybe distant cousins.. Burberry society is classy, feminine and truly burberry english. Society is for the mature and sophisticated bosslady. Flowery, strong and potent...definetely not for the faint of heart. Longevity is eternal and silage is more than an armslenght. If you like me like vintage perfumes this is for sure a must try. I love it, a sparkling diamond in my collection

I'm not crazy, after all. Every time I've worn Society (vintage) I thought I smelled blackcurrant leaf, and apparently others do, too. Cassis and similar smelling notes can be a challenge at times, but I like this. I'm a fan of Chypres, so the other notes are familiar to me. I occasionally get a waft of air that reminds me of Dana Tabu. Something about it makes me think of middle school, (I attended '95-98) so I'm wondering if a teacher wore it. 90s.

Society is class and sophistication bottled. At first the scent intimidates almost smells dirty. Stong and bold, after settling into it you realize it is dirty...sexy dirty. A well blended Burberry classic that may not be suitable for younger women. Definely not a beginner scent. Projects well and lasts 6-8 hours. A masterpiece that can't be compared to anything I've ever smelled.
