If you have been bitten by the Niche designer lines of fragrances, such as Armani, Ferragamo and Zegna etc. Then do yourself a favor and look more at others than for Blvgari. Something just far too empty reserve in most of the Blvgari niche line of perfumes. Very poor projection, longevity and sillage with this line. The bottle design is wonderful as we can all see. Be honest to oneself and admit you can just go on ebay and purchase an empty bottle there for a few bucks and that problem will be solved. Nobody spends niche perfume prices for fragrances in this Blvgari range.

The most wearable amber scent with just the slightest trace of rose, never overpowering and always inviting in overall effect. Cooler weather suited for sure. Needs a Fall or Winter day to really show off hidden facets behind the rich smooth amber notes. A wonderful skin scent after an hour, with more projection and sillage, could be quite the standout. Reserved, cultured, attractive and mysterious. 8.5/10

Beautiful spicy amber perfume. Lasted on skin for only two hrs max. On clothing it lasted about 8hrs that’s can be smelled quite easily, and after that you have to sniff it directly at the spot for another four five hrs. Simple but elegant. Only the silage leaves a lot to be desired. Personally don’t find the semblance to MIB

A perfect, classic men's signature scent. This is the most perfect, simple and unisex amber i can think of. Overlaid over the top you get a beautiful, masculine vetiver (i'm sure blending with the saffron and ginger listed). But everything mostly gives way to just this beautiful ode to Amber.

This one is blended really well and that’s why i couldn’t detect the amber. The scent is fresh, warm/spicy and a bit powdery you could easily wear this all year round but definitely avoid wearing this in hot weather. Really nice and classy.

I love the opening. Would be great a little touch of sweetness on drydown. Really nice. More fresh spicy than warm to me

I tested it today, it is really good fragrance, it smells like Bvlgari Man In Black.

One of the sexyest and coolest scent

Sophisticated classy and elegant masculine woody Oriental. The scent opens with aromatic notes of ginger, pink pepper and olibanum. It moves to a heart of frankincense and saffron before settling into a base of ambery vetiver. One of the lesser entries in this incredible line of masculine scents by Bvlgari because it is not particularly novel, nevertheless this is a well blended and sensual fragrance. Moderate to strong projection and very good longevity. Enjoy!

Testing my sample; this is a spicy and sweet amber, opens rather aromatic and peppery, gets sweeter and muskier as it warms up on the skin. I'm surprised there's not rose listed, I catch hints of it as dries down, but maybe that's the saffron interacting with the other notes. Didn't last too long on my skin, around 4 hrs, it was arms' length projection for the opening then quickly settled into a skin scent. Can be worn all seasons except summer.

Had it since 2017, used it a couple of times during this winter, it is an average performer. It smells high quality balsamic olibanum, very airy and soothing, turn a little bit animalic in dry down but never smokey. Despite of its name I couldn’t detect any amber... Certainly I was out of my mind when I paid $300+ for it, or I’m an olibanum/incense freak.

Simple, bitter with a nice macho vetiver until the end. Unlike other similar ones, here the oliban mixed with ginger makes it wearable even during the less cold seasons. Mature, super spicy, with an elegant aura of saffron and amber tones in the long drydown. Pleasant, versatile, simple. From such an impressive bottle, expectations rise ...

Musky, spicy, rosey, powdery. I really likeable smell. Not unique as I hoped since it is the "Private Collection" but still a very good smell. Like.

I was lucky enough to recently try a tester of this at the Bvlgari display in David Jones store in Sydney. The bottle itself wasn't on display as they will not be selling these until late February 2017, but the SA knew that I would be interested, so he bought out the tester bottles of this one, and the Onekh leather one and the Gyan jasmine/patchouli one. The bottles are stunning in person and are a nice counter-point to the female Le Gemme series. Ambero starts out very Oriental. The ginger, saffron and pepper are all distinguishable and soon the fragrance settles on the skin as a comfortable and familiar amber style of fragrance. Unlike a lot of other amber fragrances on the market, this one is not paired with tonka, vanilla or any type of dried fruit. However the familiarity I think comes from the recently released Colonia Ambra from Acqua di Parma. As to longevity and sillage, I can't yet comment as I've only been wearing this for 2 hours. However, these are all EDP's so I would hope both would be considerable. Of the 3 I tried I think that Gyan is the most unique and probably full bottle worthy.

This is a sharper blend of Boss Orange Man by Hugo Boss. And yet too sharp to be Dolce & Gabbana The One. I own all three, and among them I love The One the most because of its darker syrupy balanced texture and projection. This one starts sharp and mellows out into a skin scent that's still sharp compared to the D&G. As regards the Boss Orange, this one just lacks the sharp alcohol smell, and us much richer and classier. Otherwise they are the same scent IMO.

You can smell the olibanum, saffron and a sweet note which is, I guess, supposed to resemble an amber accord. The saffron gives it this near bitter, pencil shavings kind of quality while the olibanum adds a bit of smoke. It's pleasant smelling but somehow smells very familiar, near designer like. The drydown is woody and slightly sweet but lacking in originality. So for me, it's not worth the price at all. Average performance. 6/10

Great amber, poor lasting power. Less than an hour and I have to practically vacuum my skin to smell it

Nice enough amber scent but nothing special. Especially for $350!!
