Amunae

I suspect some people’s reticence with this fragrance, apart from the exorbitant cost, is the striking departure from previous Le Gemme fragrances. However, I liked this more than I thought I would. It starts off as a delicate, slightly sparkling and sharp white floral that’s quite feminine leaning. The jasmine in this is particularly beautiful. I do get Ttan’s reference to bubblegum in the initial top notes. I can’t say I get much sense of the olibanum on my skin although it starts to peak through as it dries down and the fragrance becomes more woody, musky and unisex, with a synthetic base. I also agree that in the drydown it’s very subtly indolic, which gives it more character but not in an obvious or off-putting way. As Dorje mentions below, it’s slightly reminiscent of a vintage chypre when first applied. The musk in this fragrance reminds me of the musk in Bvlgari’s now discontinued Opalon, although that fragrance is more potent. Primarily it’s jasmine, wood and musk. Nothing groundbreaking but very pleasant nonetheless. Longevity seems decent but it wears quite light. However, Bvlgari’s new pricing for the Le Gemme line is shocking and I would hope for more complexity and performance at this price. Having said that, its lightness does suit the nature of the fragrance profile and I do like the smaller, more compact form of the new flacon. Overall, much better than I expected. Although understated, I do find it quite classy and sophisticated but at this price point, a fragrance needs to be spectacular for most people to consider a purchase. I’m a little confused with the bottle as well as the square Le Gemme used to be for their masculine line. I’d class this as unisex but it does lean rather feminine, especially up top so I’m not really sure if this is still targeted for men or if it’s a new unisex strategy. Not that it really matters but it’s certainly a change of direction. However, definitely worth a try if money is not a defining issue. Edit: the more I sit with this, the more I like it. Putting aside its cost and light nature, I find the actual scent very alluring. The jasmine and musk combination is done incredibly well and feels high quality and it's relative simplicity is perhaps its strength. From quite an indifferent initial impression, this is turning into one of my favourite Le Gemme fragrances. As a side note, I’ve been wearing the fragrance today for over ten hours and my partner’s just come home and told me I smell nice so longevity isn’t an issue for me. You need to like white florals to appreciate this but I’d suggest approaching it with openess and not from the perspective of previous Le Gemmes and then, like me, you might be more taken with it, especially those who remember the style of Opalon.

To those criticizing this perfume, I urge you to give it a proper chance. I have genuinely never encountered such an authentic musk mallow note in a fragrance before. The way it unfolds with a slightly indolic, almost dirty nuance is incredibly sexy and alluring. The jasmine here is of exceptional quality, blending seamlessly with the musk to create something soft yet undeniably noticeable. There’s also a subtle bubblegum effect that I can’t seem to shake, reminiscent of Tuberose Astrale. However, while that fragrance focused on tuberose, this one plays with jasmine in a similar manner. I wouldn’t consider this a bad release by any means, but it’s certainly not Bulgari’s best. That title still belongs to Falkar or Orom, in my opinion.

Amunae has dethroned Chanel 1957 as my all time favorite musk scent

I keep trying this; if it wasn't so expensive I'd have bought it the first time I smelt it... the jasmine top note (top for me, not middle) is so delicious. The jasmine is gone so soon though... I don't expect anyone to agree but the drydown is, to my nose, a lot like Zara's Sugar Foam. People have mentioned a coconut note in Amunae, which Sugar Foam has, so maybe that's what I'm smelling. Anyhow, for the price this may be too much of a skin scent for me, so I might wait til I get a windfall to buy this one. Update: I've still been trying this on any time I get the chance! I was given a sample yesterday, and the assistant in the stand "perfumed" me - This will be coming home with me soon. It doesn't project, but the longevity is terrific! Still smells gorgeous on my arm the next day... Update #2 - Reader, I bought her... I found 125ml for £166 - the price point is very high still for me, but as it's around £355 usually, I had to take the plunge. I cant quite believe it yet - I've been thinking about this scent for about 8 months - delayed gratification can't be beaten... There is a lot of hate for this cration but I am very confident in my taste - this perfume is BEAUTIFUL. It wasn't £355 beautiful for me, but its definitely £166 beautiful. Ladies and Gents, my advice to you is to buy what delights you (and you can afford) Thank you and goodnight.

This is a very nice addition to the Le Gemme line. Not by Cavalier, but Sophie Labbé stays with the Le Gemme vibe of a unique and minimalist fragrance with frankincense and musky accords. This has facets of a vintage green chypre due to the type of frank used and the aldehydes, the ambrette and jasmine are top quality. It's a light, slightly feminine leaning floral fresh scent overall. Almost a summery version of Gyan. While I understand the critiques, they are somewhat misguided, this is a very high quality fragrance and is more unique than one might think at first sniff. It's long lasting but not very loud.

Slightly disappointing somewhat repetitive floral woody musk offering from the usually reliable La Gemme line, this watered down version of their earlier release Gyan should have not been released in my humble opinion. The scent opens with aldehydes and olibanum moving to a jasmine and ambrette heart and drying down into a musky oak. The slight feminine leaning scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. The perfume does have a nice natural jasmine grandiflorum in it but it lacks novelty and does not offer value for the price they are charging for it.

This has nothing in common with my fav Cedar chic! Idk why, all I smell is coconut but the pyramid shows it does not have coconut.. I find it more close to Alto astral.

Soft, white flower fragrance which is a bit pricey. But it's so refreshing.

Bvlgari's entry into the ambrette second skin or "your skin but better" genre. It's slop. Whatever the base is in this is awful. I think it's the Oak and whatever this musk accord is supposed to be. Same noxious base as Angel's Share Paradis.

I find - like a lot of posters before me - that the reminds me off section for this one is really not on point. The only one that I would say is even just in the same ball park is alto astral. I personally prefer alto astral. Amunae has more of this dusty coconut or dusty sandalwood (though no coconut or sandalwood listed, it's the ambrette giving this effect?). I enjoy amunae but when choosing between the two - they scratch that same itch, even if they are only distant cousins - i would choose alto astral ever time. It reminds me even more of shunkoin than alto astral though (again, i prefer alto astral over shunkoin). Or white on white. This is that clean but dusty scent profile (don't think zesty fizzy aldehydes or creamy lotion or soap but more coconut/sandalwood shavings). You can absolutely find this scent profile at a better price point than this one, but it's still pretty.

an elevated jasmin noir! aldehydes + a resinous top note is such a striking sensation . and despite the seriousness of the oak, black musk, the jasmin here is playful, indolic, and cozy . the bottle is heavy and looks stunning . id love to buy this one as a post grad treat to myself . i associate this scent with the ‘save the children’ collection . this smelled nothing like the ‘reminds me of’ section, im surprised no ones mentioned jasmin noir . if angels wore anything besides Angel mugler or VS perfume, itd be this .

Beautiful. But i suggests you to try first Gucci Flora Georges Jasmin. I would say, if you go and sniff only expensive and exclusive perfume lines, you will buy it for sure. I would prefer first to try Pure Poison Dior, Acqua di Parma Gelsomino a Freddo... maybe Jo Malone Jasmin Sambac Marigold? Even jasmine oil: use it on skin, it is very delicate, a specially when you have 4% concentration, for example. And then you can compare it with Amunae. But, of course... I think also, this one is special and very nice 👍🏻

Does anyone know any similar perfumes to Amunae? I tried it at saks and fell in love! I've never had this reaction to any other perfume at first sniff, other than Tygar. Drydown of Amunae is slightly powdery but sweet musk that reminds of tygar's

Im really surprised how it’s out of the line of the private collection of bvlgari it’s a normal scent that you can find in the other brands fresh jasmin with a woody ambery touch it’s more feminine for me this is not bvlgari that i know

This is neither like Cedar Chic or Another 13, which are both beautiful. It becomes a skin scent within 2-3 hours. Initio, Power Self may be a better option. Not a safe blind buy

I really like this except the super synthetic base that's been plaguing new releases for the last decade. It's a very creamy and salty white floral. Could have been so good.

I bought this a few weeks ago I have a large collection and keep reaching for this many compliments, soft sensual it reminds me a bit of diptique's papier it's beautiful

Musky, aldehydic. It feels like byredo - blanche , mfk - 724 but more smooth. So... not worthy to buy this.
