Aqva Divina

Edit, May 5, 2018: Still in love with this fragrance. I now use the body lotion too to enhance the longevity of the scent, and purchased small 5 ml decants to keep in my purses. Sometimes I also use it during fall and winter as a pick-me-up. It just instantly puts me in a good mood. Someone above remarked on chemistry and having a skin chemistry that is suitable for Bvlgari. I have to agree. I have now used 4 different scents from this house and I also adore some of their masculine scents. Additionally, I blind bought Aqva Amara, one of the "brother " scents of Aqva Divina, and my brother loves it. Must be genetic. :-) In summary, I highly recommend trying this unusual summer scent. If it agrees with you it will be one of your favorites. Edit, July 17, 2017: Still in love with this perfume. So unusual and I get so many compliments on it. And funnily enough - see other comments about this being a unisex scent - men just love it and ask to try it. If it is very hot outside I stick with Cristalle but otherwise and especially on summer evening Aqua Divina is my summer scent. Original post from August 2016: This was an unexpected love although aren't they all? You look at a person day after day and then it hits you, I am crazy about him... Finding a totally unexpected fragrance love is perhaps not at the same level of thrill but not to be underestimated either. I like aquatic scents but they are just not my favorite group, I am more like an oriental/floral woody musk/fruity chypre kind of person. I think what hooked me on this scent is the saltiness, and that reminder of sun-warmed skin. My other favorite casual summer scent is EL Sensuous Nude. That one also reminds me of sun-warmed skin, but it is cleaner. The way I could describe these two scents is that EL Sensuous Nude is before, while Aqva Divina is after making love and then having a swim in the ocean. The skin is salty, sun-kissed and a bit dirty. :-) And I love, love, love the quince note. That has been my favorite since childhood. I grew up quite poor and did not encounter really good perfumes until my 20s, but nothing else is as beautiful as my grandmother putting quinces on top of the wardrobe to scent the room during the winter. Quince makes me happy the same way Crabtree & Evelyn's Noel scent does. Although these are "winter" scents, I think I know what is the common thread: love, safety, anticipation of something good, so the quince note can stand for some or all of these even in an aquatic scent.

This is pure delight. I've been a long time lurker on this platform and this is the perfume that made me join just so that I could rave about it a little bit. I wouldn't say this was a complete blind-buy, I read enough reviews and searched youtube plenty, to see what the overall consensus was. And in most all cases people either really enjoyed it or proceeded to throw it directly into their trash. There wasn't a middle ground here. I know enough about my fragrance journey to know that I like things that smell atypical. So, if you like fragrances that charm you and surprise you... well then, you may have just found a little hidden gem. I'm going to admit that I'm not a soapy scent lover but that's what I initially get from this. However, if this is the case, it's the most delightful soapy scent that I now have in my collection. It's clean in an alluring way. Yes, I'd venture to say it's sexy but it's lighthearted, it's not serious. Sure, you could wear it to the office - it's safe - but this is unique enough that it's going to stand out a bit and make it's presence known. I just wouldn't go ham with the spritzes if you find yourself preparing to be in a professional setting. Let it be a mermaid - it doesn't need to be a siren. It's tart, the quince and the bergamot really stand out on my skin. The woody notes smell a bit more like the sweetest/freshest/cleanest incense and they really blend quite nicely with the citrus. And I do get a bit of the salt - as if I've just sprayed my hair with a salt spray - it's definitely not overbearing, it's feminine and refreshing. I'm pretty sure a lot of people will say this is only suitable for Summer but the tartness seems to really stand out in the cold weather. I can see this being an all year around scent. I've not worn it enough to speak on longevity - but the reviews here show promise - so I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that this performs well. Yay for a fragrance that I was a little bit nervous about - this checked all of the right boxes for me!

Really liking this Bvlgari perfume. All the notes made me want to try it. Didn't know what to make of it at first. It takes a few minutes for the initial opening to settle down. Once it does, it's a pleasant scent suitable for the office. Unique and fabulous. After sniffing this for the first time (and then applying it), the scent smelled nothing like what was coming from the bottle. I kept catching a whiff of something light and sweet (floral sweet, not sugary sweet). Then I sprayed it on myself and took a big sniff. Surprising. The only thing I could make out was a strong aquatic smell. It took quite a few minutes for the scent to settle down enough that I could detect individual notes. The sweet notes finally emerged. Sweet, salty, and gingery. Beautifully blended. On my skin the major notes are salt, ginger, and magnolia. Who would have thought you could actually smell salt? Never smelled quince fruit but this might also contribute to the sweetness. Again, this is not a sugary or powdery sweetness at all. In the background there is a faint beeswax and woody smell, possibly even amber. I don't get any citrus whatsoever. This is a unique fragrance. It's the total opposite of what I am normally attracted to. Alot of reviewers say it reminds them of the beach. However I don't think of the beach or ocean. There are just too many things going on with this scent. It reminds me of a breezy autumn day. Can't wait to see how well this works for fall! I really cannot stop sniffing my wrist. Longevity is pretty good (about 5 hours, then close to skin). Sillage is appropriate, not heavy. AQVA Divina is a light fragrance. Someone could easily overdo it though. The bottle is cool looking, but I wish it would stand upright. Just looks kind of out of place next to all my other bottles. Because of the individuality of this fragrance I would highly recommend sampling it before purchase.

I purchased this perfume since it was released by the bvlgari house in the department store. It was a blind buy for me.. I never sprayed the tester coz i already sprayed perfume in my body.and i wana surprised my self what its smells like?! I bought it also because this is the first fragrance of bvlgari aqua for woman! This perfume catch my attention because of the round flat bottle with a golden lid with a mark on it and a pearly color of the bottle. After purchasing it. I never sprayed it. Just unboxing it and take a picture. Still i dnt sprayed it bcoz of i feel like i wana use it in a very important occasion. And this perfume is kinda expensive in my country. $140 usd for 60ml. So single spray is important for me! Lol... So after a year of waiting! Now im using it!! Sprayed it on my neck, wrist and every pulse of my body! And its a wow!! It has a very strong scents with a enormous sillage and longevity! The first spray. It has a blast of aqua with a salty and citruscy scents! I also smells the beeswax' ginger and bergamot! And it reminds me of aqua amara in a feminine side! After 1 hour on my body. I still smells the notes tht i smells in the first spray but with a strong woodsy notes and salty scents. Im waiting for the drydown and how it smells like.. So over all its a 10 out of 10 for me. If the mermaid have a signature perfume. This is the right one.... Its stil under on my observation. I wish it will last long on my skin! Its worth to buy this perfume. And love love love love it! Btw its not for a teen ager. I think its for 25 and abouve woman.. And its for a very good occasion.. AQVA DIVINA IS A MASTERPIECE. It's definitely among my top 5 favorite fragrances. I swear the first time I smelled it, it was like a slap in my face - but a beautiful, godly slap somehow. You may expect it to be a light floral ethereal perfume, but the first sniffing welcomes you with a huge blow of ginger and spice. Warm, intense, full of personality, no-time-for-bullshit, love-it-or-hate-it top notes. If you're not used to intense, vibrant, strong scents, you'll not like this one... And when you're getting used to the ginger and spice of the top notes, there comes a BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL note of magnolia, that makes you think "woah, am I in the middle of a garden of blooming magnolias and I didn't know it?" It's so shocking and so surprising, it's like opening a ginger curtain that gives way to a beautiful garden with the most precious and delicate magnolias, something you could never expect to happen. And then, after a delicate yet deep walk along a magnolia garden you're welcome by a woody, oriental dry-down that frames the whole perfume with mystery and complexities... The sensation it gives to me is of a forbidden, mysterious elixir that could be only be worn by magical creatures... Spicy, salty, floral, exotic, sensual, dominant, powerful and dreamy! Yes, we're talking about an impacting fragrance here. No wonder it's called Aqva Divina, I can easily imagine something only a greek goddess would wear. The bottle somehow to me evokes a white silk dress and the gold bracelets Aphrodite would wear... Something that is out of reach to us mere mortals.

Well well well. What have we here. Indeed the first female fragrance from the Bvlgari Aqva line. And it's a delicious one at that! This year really has been my breakthrough year into the aquatic, beachy, coconutty, and overall summer scents. And I am LOVING this one! This fragrance is a perfect combo of all components! It's mostly the smell of a sea breeze/salt water with a touch of woody notes and the magnolia. I do also get the lime in there quite a bit also. I may get the smallest touch of Amber in this and I do not smell the beeswax at all. So salty...but deliciously salty! The salty/lime/aquatic notes really steal the show in this one! This is one of those extremely rare fragrances...that is so reminiscent of something (like a beach you've been to most likely) that you can literally close your eyes when you smell it and see the beach, waves, seagulls, and the sand. It will take you there. It's amazing. I got the biggest 2.2 ounce bottle on Ebay for $26. I cannot stress enough how much you need to try this guys! Especially if you enjoy beachy summer fragrances. I also agree with the reviewer below me...the bottle really is beautiful and unique. Just as the scent is as well. Longevity - IMPRESSIVE!! 7-8 hours easily. Sillage - Stronger side of average. Maybe 4 feet away. 5 feet if sprayed a couple extra times. ;) Scent Itself - 9/10 Overall Rating - 9/10 You've REALLY outdone yourselves Bvlgari folks!!! Muchas gracias por este perfume! Aqva Divina is a very befitting name for this amazing creation. It has a decisively marine feel, with an opening fantastically salty - who' d have said! - that immediately transports you onto the beach. It is spring though - the heat hasn't yet cooked shells, fleshy debris landed ashore from the sea, and there's no algae around either, rotting under the sun whilst emanating its characteristic smell. This is iodium, that which one can breathe in lightly breezy days. If you ever lived near the sea you know what that smells like. Big player of chemistry - alike a chameleon! Upon first spray I was zapped onto such beach, alone, the vast space staring back at me. In the silence of the rising daylight, I tasted the salt, and caught a whiff of driftwood. Suave! Every time I feel tired, I spray on my arms Aqva Divina and zap! am off to the beach for a walk alone, in a beautiful place, the sun just greeting me from the edge of the horizon. 10/10 from me, obviously! I layer it with Eau Parfumee' au The Vert for a massive pick me up and burst of joy. Love it, but mind - it is big on salt, really you must like that note to appreciate this number. Great longevity (on me it lasted a good 10 hrs, going to skin scent after 3) and projects decently for the 1st hour - then reapplication may be needed to prolongue the opening stage.

This is a rare gem. Where do I begin? The outstanding packaging design is a visual reflection of Aqva Divina's singularity and beauty. The flat, seashell like bottle feels wonderful cupped in the hand, smooth and cold like sea glass. As for the juice, it is beguiling and intoxicating. Other reviewers are right about the overall beachy feel. Something in the opening smells like a vintage perfume to me, but it's fleeting. Next you get the sunscreen vibe, but it's the nicest one I've ever experienced (not headache inducing as some can be). The magnolia is identifiable and heady. BUT OMG THE DRIFTWOOD NOTE IS AMAZING - I could wear just that note on its own! No coconut here (thank goodness). Every once in a while I get a whiff of quince and it's awesome. This is sophisticated, not for the young girls. But this is not old smelling either. I haven't smelled Sand & Sable in years but methinks there might be similarities because my mind went to Sand & Sable as it opened up. Aqva Divina is much more sophisticated though. I feel as though I have uncovered a diamond buried in the beach sand. Now I have to get back up bottles. I feel like a queen when I wear this...powerful, elegant, in control, yet feminine. I can't stop smelling my wrist.

This is likely my only summer fragrance love that I currently own. I have done a fair amount of time on beaches, and I have to say, they don't smell like this to me. I actually don't like the smell of a salt water beach. Much prefer the smell of the Great Lakes beaches, but this doesn't smell like them either! But is is light and fresh and clean. On my skin, I get a very light scent of ginger (and this is likely why I like it so much) and I get a light floral...nothing overpowering. Not much in the way of a salt note for me or really anything overtly fruity but definitely something bright and happy. This is likely the citrus for me. But I love that it doesn't smell like sunscreen/coconut and isn't cloying. I agree with the others that the bottle, while beautiful is not practical for display. Luckily, I keep all my fragrances in their boxes and in a drawer in my closet to protect them. I also agree that this is likely not a safe blind buy. It is one of the few that I actually sampled before I committed to a full bottle. A beautiful, unique fragrance. Since I haven't had much luck finding other summer scents for me, I may need a back up bottle! Also looking forward to trying it in the fall and spring just to see how it plays out.

I grew up in a seaside town in Queensland (AUS) and we would spend all seasons at the beach. Winter was a particular favourite time for me - the water was always cool, the sun always warm (our standard weather days still reached around 22 degrees celsius) and the sand was just the right temperature during the day. We lived not far from the ocean, and when the wind was right, that salty ocean breeze would fill our home. This fragrance captures the essence of cool breeze on warm sun-kissed skin - it is a warm day, and your feet first contact the cold shore, giving you goosebumps. The second I smelled it I had to have it; it was as if my twelve year old self took over and next second I had my own pearl to take home. I definitely identify the salt and ginger above all other notes, with a lovely warm spice upon the dry down, which ultimately keeps this fragrance classed as an oriental. It is undeniably unisex and resembles the sea breeze flawlessly. I live a long way away from the sea nowadays, and the carelessness of childhood seems so out of reach, but Divina lets me keep a magical piece of both. As long as I can smell this, my heart will be happy.

I love this. It’s the perfect adult interpretation of summer. This is a sophisticated salty dry scent with an understated sweetness that feels natural instead of sugared. Top notes can be too intense or harsh if sprayed too close to the skin and reminiscent of an alchohol free margarita. So spray from 6” away and the nuances become apparent. It’s fresh-spicy from the ginger, bergamot and quince, warm from the honey/beeswax, and sweet and creamy from the magnolia and woods. The overall dry down is coconutty like milky fresh coconut flesh even though there isn’t any coconut listed in the notes. It’s wonderful in the cold winter air and I can’t wait to try it in the summer heat. Edit to add: the bottle design is just stunning, the whole package is a bit magical. One more edit to explain that this isn’t watery. I get more of a sandy feeling from this. Yes, beach, but as in soft golden sand warmed by the sun. Magnolia Champagne. This is now one of my favorite scents.. the more I wear it the more I love it. It’s really unique.

Lovely perfume. I agree with some of the reviews here, it could definitely be used as a unisex perfume (not because it lacks sugary/gourmand notes, i just think the opening is kind of sharp and more on the masculine side when you first spray it). This is not a problem for me really because i thoroughly enjoy masculine oriented fragrances, so that was a pleasant surprise. The most noticeable notes on my nose are salt, magnolia and bergamot. It smells super fresh and airy for the first hour and then it shifts to a more creamy/woody scent when it dries down. Sadly, the longevity is quite poor on my skin (five hours top on the inside of my forearm, which is the warmest part), and the sillage pretty much none existent. That would be my only complain. Beautiful lacquered bottle with a golden cap, reminds me of a pearl or some kind of seashell. It can be perfectly used all year long but i believe it would be better suited for warmer days, thus amplifying the intensity of the notes.

I was not sure about this perfume when I tried it so I gave it to my mom. She loves it, its her favorite smell. After smelling it in the air on her I realized how amazing this perfume is. It is so classy, clean and it does make you think of being on a white sandy beach. It has a rich holiday paradise kind of quality. It smells otherworldly, it mixes bitter peppery notes with salt and a fancy soap which is a bit polarizing when you smell it up close but in the air it just smells like peppery salty freshness with a citrusy kick. Its so different! And the bottle! This is the most beautiful bottle I have ever seen for a perfume, I was attracted instantly just for the bottle. Its really sad that they don't put more effort into presentation anymore. All the newer "niche" perfumes have such boring "minimalistic" or downright cheap bottles, but are somehow worth a ridiculous amount of money? Also, this perfume lasts and projects. So, in conclusion its great!

I love love love LOVEEE this!! My mind goes back to when I first crossed paths with this, I had brought 2 new perfumes. And the sales guy literally stopped me, just to give me a sample, I laughed and told him "I've got 2 new ones right here" he smiled & his response was "trust me you'll be back... Guess what? He was on the money!!! I got home, and couldn't stop smelling it. I was all "omg" "yesss it's different" "IT'S SO DAMN GOOD" lol. I went back to the store on the same day, and purchased my mini 25ml (that's all they had) The guy started laughing and smirked, because yes, he knew I'd like it. Now I have my 65ml on my shelf, and another 65ml back up stored away.. You need this ladies! We all do :) It's salty, sweet, smells a tad honey-ish to my nose. This develops wonderfully on me. Changes throughout the day, and that's what I love about it. IT AMAZES ME! Sillage: 3-4 hours. (Whiffs here & there) Longevity: 8 hours. ❤️ The perfect summer scent.

This is a beauty of a scent. So elegant and bright and very, very fresh. Initial blast is ginger, spicy fresh ginger. There is some distant salty seanote and a hint something fresh fruity. The heartnote and the base is what really sets this apart from anything I know. It feels so natural and part of me. The ginger slowly fades a little and the beeswax comes out and then it smells like coco nut. Not a cloyingly sweet and synthetic cococnut, but a dry and clean one. The beeswax stage is very long - around 6-8 hours. Not sweet at all but fresh. The dry out is a real stunner. I put this one on at night, and woke up in the morning feeling like i had gone swimming in the ocean and the salt and musk from my own skin was beaming with freshness. This really is Afrodites born of ocean foam. The longevity is amazing for something this inexpensive, and that is good considering that I am now utterly addicted to this scent. Wow!

I love Bvlgari's Omnia for cold winter days/evenings and enjoy Bvlgari's Omnia Crystalline for summer. I highly recommend this one because it works in humid summer weather. I just received a compliment after taking a walk in the summer heat. Aqva Divina stays fresh and clean on your skin. It's bright and feminine but safe enough for all occasions. I'll also wear this on balmy summer evenings out. It's positively a head turner. I see how this could be a signature summer scent. There are two major categories for summer fragrances: 1.) Cool Summer Weather and 2.) Hot/Humid Summer Weather. Aquatic or citrus/cucumber based fragrances (minus musky, spicy, sugary sweet or creamy notes) work best in humid weather. I'm not a big fan of cucumber/green fragrances like Calyx, Kenneth Cole's Black or synthetic powdery scents like Infusion d'Iris (Prada). Acqva Divina is aquatic and masterfully blended to perfection. Enjoy!

I purchased a 30 ml in the winter because it was cheap and at the time I thought it was too dry, too sharp, I can understand why people on youtube disliked it! It's getting warmer outside and I was casually sniffing my bottles and found this one again. It smelled different somehow so I sprayed some on my arm. It's soo lush and beautiful! The pink pepper and fresh floral reminds me of Miracle by Lancome in a slight way. The salt can be a little strong in the beginning but it gradually fades to a "beachy" scent with some fresh florals in the background. I can smell the quince and the magnolia, they come together so smoothly! This is a really calming and clean scent, but not in a laundry-clean way. I think it's best for the warmer months as it's still a little too dry to be wearing this out! This is THE most beautiful bottle I have ever seen, and for the price I'm surprised more people aren't purchasing this!

Unique, serene and spicy. The opening is beautiful and I wish it stuck around longer. Smells expensive! Strange how it's aquatic, marine, and has a distinct beeswax note throughout. Stunning. The drydown is soft and sweet (Amber) and very elevated. It's a perfumey take on "your skin but better". It's softly salty but high-key with the ginger + bergamot opening. It reminds me of crushing juniper berries in your hands; skin + aromatic sweetness. The ginger is lovely and very spicy. A round magnolia and quince softens the initial notes and it settles into a something that reads almost gourmand as the sweetness wafts by with the beeswax. The beeswax is beautiful and the whole composition is so amazingly blended. Not a safe blind buy. Try if you like aromatic perfumey perfumes and enjoy, or are curious about, beeswax in perfumes. This is a love in experience, but I don't wear it often so I labeled it a like.

I was searching perfumes for a similar perfume to Wood Sage and Sea Salt and this one came up in several places. I never would have tried a Bvlgari for some reason. Some houses just don't strike us, either because of family or geography. But I'm so glad I tried this! I think this will be one of my go-to scents, not just of the summer, but possibly all year around. I tend to like more unisex scents, and this one certainly straddles the line of feminine and masculine. Yes, at first it is a salt/ spice (ginger) bomb but it quickly reveals a beachy floral and then settles into a lovely, comforting skin note. It's that last honey-amber ness that makes me think this might be soothing in cooler weather as well. It's a close up sweater smell that I love in men's cologne. I sprayed this on 6 hours ago - one spray, inner elbow - and it's still got a decent strength to it. I'm so pleased with this blind buy!

This is more of an experience and an unleashing of memories than a perfume. It masterfully evokes a beach vibe without typical marine notes. I had an immediate visceral reaction when I first tried it and was instantly transported to a bright sunny coast! Initially, you get fresh bergamot, salt and ginger. The ginger here is thankfully NOT spicy, just subtle and somehow mimics warm sand. The salt note is airy/delicate and compliments the other notes (unlike the dreadful Olympea, sorry to fans of that one*). The beeswax is comforting and holds it all together, making it the true star here - giving everything a creamy dreamy familiar quality. The whole thing is like a warm memory mixed with the sun-kissed skin of your lover. I mostly wear it for myself as an aromatherapy comfort scent. It's 100% unisex and I think it would be amazing with a man's skin chemistry. My best risky blind buy to date.

Aqua Divina is a refined, elegant fragrance, evoking a sunny summer at the seaside, when you come home with some sand on the feet and the scent of tan and suncreams all around, but you also have your own cabin, some Hermes sandals and a nice wide hat too. it's a wealthy scent. On my skin, this fragrance opens with a defined touch of salt and citrus - think Olympea and tone down the sweetness to a minimum - then it quickly develops into something more complex, where it's difficult to tell apart the single notes: there's some sweetness, a bit of white floral touch, a bit of deepness without screaming woods at all, with salt and citruses sprinkled all over. This fragrance is a perfect everyday choice for summer: office friendly without being too serious nor flirty, really feminine and absolutely elegant. Aqua Divina smells expensive and classy. If you like the notes, it's a safe blind buy.

You know that feeling when you think you know something or someone, but it just doesn't click ,it's that feeling with aqva divina, and I LOVE IT... She's cool..a natural beauty in casual, simple attire. She's confident and totally in peace with herself, which is full of contradictions.So she smells of sharp salty ginger when you first meet her, then smells of a dry breeze of magnolia when you're getting to know her, and then she starts to smell like cozy amber with a sour twist when u become friends....it's like at every stage just when you believe u've figured it out something pops up to contradict it, you think u're there, but not quite...in that sense it reminds me of womanity, but I like aqva divina more because of its subtlety...it's not your typical aquatic or tropical sweetness, definitely edgier than those, so beware...

I've become a real fan of salty and sea inspired perfumes as I got familiar with the various notes used to produce the effect. This is an incredible ocean inspired scent, a complete blind buy almost free, absolutely beautiful. It has that zing effect of a plunge in the surf, produced no doubt by the ginger, salt, and citrus. There is a slight haunting sweetness, apparently amber maybe the quince, but more like the somewhat animalic oceanic effect of real ambergris. The bitterness is similar to the great sulphurous grapefruit that I love in say, Pampelune and In Love Again, but cleaner. Awesome perfume. Has sent me on a Bvlgari spree after I had always written them off as too weak and ineffectual. Pondering question....how do perfumers translate the smell of salt from its taste?

I found this fragrance when I was searching for a gift for my friend. She is looking for a beachy scent. She loves sharp, fresh scents. I love powdery scents. I kept Aqua Divina for myself since she said it was much too powdery for her. This perfume is softly salty, a little sandy, with pretty flowers in the dry down. It smells similar to the salty hair sprays that are supposed to give your hair "beachy waves". I lived on Pacific and Atlantic beaches for a few years. This perfume doesn't remind me of the beach at all, but it's a very pleasant fragrance. Sweet, feminine, and ladylike, it projects at arm's length for the first 30 minutes, then lasts for at least 8 hours as a very close to skin scent. Great for the office, non offensive. I love it and plan to get a backup bottle !

I absolutely love this scent. My favorite scents are Bulgari Crystalline (this one is stronger) and Coco Chanel Mademoiselle (this one is far gentler). Bulgari Aqua Divina is a shock to the senses when sprayed on, but immediately procedes to settle into a most elegant summer afternoon trip to the beachside pool with the wind blowing my hair I put on some coconut oil and enjoy the atmosphere. On me, it becomes a wonderful combination of gentle coconut and stronger rose with hints of jasmine on a backdrop of bright Bulgari Crystalline but having a deeper, stronger woody musk and sandalwood. It stays on my skin for hours, and clothing even longer. As it fades into a skin scent, it becomes a gentle sweet smell that comforts. I love this scent. It is so very unusual.

First a story: This is one of the female fragrances I really wanted. I knew it smells unisex. I got it for my sister-in-law for her birthday, but since she did not invite me out at least for a drink or by my brother's place at least to eat a few cookies, I KEPT IT FOR MYSELF!!! I should thank her for not inviting me out because I love this fragrance!!! :D :D :D About Aqua Divina: When I first sprayed it on my skin I got an oud-citrus smell. This faded away quickly to leave a soft-spicy-aquatic scent. I LOVE IT. To be more precise it is an aquatic-ginger scent. From my point of view, I find it something between GA Acqua di Gio and YSL L'Homme. Longevity is above a those 2 mentioned and the silage is decent. Gets you through the day. Great summer scent!

This is unique. It’s what a pirate would smell like. A dewy, salty skin-morphing smell. I can’t call it “green”, not in the perfume notes meaning, but I kind of want to. It’s green like a rainforest, a bit moist, just the slightest bit dark. Shares some tiny something with Hermes - Un jardin apres la mousson, only this one is saltier and sweeter at the same time, and not as breezy. I agree this is borderline unisex. Longevity is great and while an intense version could be interesting, I love how close to the skin this one is. It blends gorgeously and gives you an aura of mystery, because this might as well be the smell of skin bathed in sea water and splashed with ginger ale, or something. Not wimpy, girly or fashion-y at all.

It looks like some people got carried away by the promotion material suggesting the ocean :) not to me. I would not say this is salty but I'd say it's fortunately lacking the sugar DNA of many designer fragrances these days which make my stomach turn sadly. To me, Aqua Divina is a nice summary fragrance, given the perfectly balanced magnolia, citrus and discernible quince. The nose even added a nice twist with the ginger and depth with the amber/woods.It lasts for quite a few hours which is impressive for the genre. All in all, Aqua Divina is an elegant fragrance, fitting a confident, feminine woman who does not need sugary perfumes given she is looking sweet already :P Conclusion: I should have bought the bigger bottle.

Ginger, citrus, salt and woods. Such a sexy beachy scent. Very fresh but also nicely spicy and dry. Has that same something all of my favourite bvlgari fragrances have, like the original bvlgari omnia-the brown one now also discontinued. Think it might be the ginger and spices and woods. Except this is stronger and cleaner with citrus. I wouldn't agree that this is masculine. At a stretch a guy could wear it sure, but this smells like a chic sexy modern woman. Bought this on the cheap since it's discontinued and I'm pretty pleased. The bottle design is pretty too, I imagine it's supposed to be like a pearl, a hidden treasure you would find in a shell at the bottom of the ocean. It really suits the fragrance.

Smells niche!! Beautiful pearl like bottle reminds me that Bvlgari is indeed a jewelry brand. I bought the 40ml bottle to be able to hold it single handedly and to also put in a small purse to carry around. Although, the sillage and longevity are very modest, it’s rather great that I don’t have to dilute my favorite winter orientals with anhydrous ethanol to make them wearable in summer. It’s non offensive but stronger than a skin scent perfume. AQVA DIVINA can be worn in both cold and hot weather, difinately unisex, maybe because of the very soft ginger nuance. Especially oriental fragrance lovers would love this jem 〜❤︎ It’s discounted but still available to stock up searching online!!

Every single 'salty' perfume i've tried, i hated. The salt note just puts me off hugely... till now. My goodness this is beautiful!! Instant love! As soon as i smelt it, it whisked me away to a little cottage garden on a cliff top, right by the beach. I imagined myself sitting there, watching the ocean, taking in the smells... it was bliss! The salt note is really subtle on me, though definitely noticable, and i get the bergamot and woods, it all adds up to a kind of driftwood type smell, but in the nicest possible way. It really is beachy, perfect for a hot summer's day. Ok, so it's not the strongest of perfumes, but for £16 for 25ml i don't mind topping it up every hour or so!

I know it sounds ridiculous, but this is my bf in a bottle. Maybe it had the same fresh spicy accord with Chanel Bleu but it's the salty smell that remind me of him. When I first smelt it from afar, it carried a fresh melon scent like damp laundry had just been washed. But when I actually sprayed it, I got a splash of sweet salty spicy lemon juice into my nostrils. But I'm glad cuz this phase faded out very fast, or else it would be another oriental scent I'm trying to avoid. It's long lasting, has a discreet character. For me it's almost like skin scent. I tend to sweat a lot, and it blend well with my skin chemistry for not standing out awkwardly like other floral parfums.

I only had a decanted sampler but I realised this is a very interesting and amazing scent. I don't know why this reminds sea or salt or things like that to so many people. For me this doesn't remind any of those and even nothing else too, not aqua, not divina. It could be bound to sea and vacation but sea and vacation themselves don't bring this scent at least into my mind. The only thing I can relate this to is the photo of the real bottle itself in this website: something lightly beige, sweater-like, soft, something for mothers. The smell reminds me a bit of Omnia but Omnia is lighter, Aqva Divina is stronger. Very nice experience to test it.

Indeed divine! Could it be because of salt? Precious here as it is, for me at least, precious in food. I also sense ginger and quince too but it is the combination between them that creates the special perfume feeling, special that can easily turn familiar, no matter how strange. Unlike others who noticed different stages and rather bad turnings, for me it is the same, from beginning to middle phase and fading one. Charming, delicate and classy. Faultless and beyond compare..maybe it shall be discrowned by other interestingly composed salty frags, but since it is the first one of this kind, I hold it most dear and sniff it like a drug

Aqva divina you are a one of a kind creation. I had this 'gem' a while back in a 25ml purse size. I remember the first time I smelt it.. It was heavenly❤️ Definitely a salty, sweet, spicy scent, jeez what a combo, seriously!! This is in my top 10 for sure. I repurchased this today in a 65 ml ;) which'll last me a while. The first bottle was like a marble (quiet cute) however the 65ml bottle literally reminds me of a pearl, in the ocean, surrounded by star fish, dolphins and every other beautiful sea creatures. It's elegant & sophisticated. Longevity: 1 spritz 5 to 6 hours. Imagine another 3 sprays ;)

It’s the smell of the ocean breeze passes through your wet hair and body right after you swim. The sun is heat, your mood is neutral, but you do appreciate the moment as it brings back the childhood memories where you always longing for the beach to play with its sand, to feel excited and scared at the same time when the waves hit you and try to drag you. You smile, years have passed, no undo button, no return shortcut. You now staring at the horizon, realized there are more to come in life. And the salty ocean breeze caresses your face once again, wipes away the sweet childhood memories.

So I bought this fragrance for my mother for her birthday so you know I had to test it, and man does it smell good. This fragrance can very well pass as a unisex, fragrance you get the fresh citrus and subtle sweetness from the bergamot with a touch of salty-ness then you have those floral notes same as well very subtle nothing crazy. This smells almost a clone of Bvlgar Aqva Amara but Aqva Amara has little more salty-ness and a hint of metallic note. 100% worth buying its at a really good price at the moment and the longevity is nice as well about 4-6 hour performance.

I love the opening of Aqva Divina...all that salty ginger is beautiful. I do get the other notes listed here, though. The citrus and florals are light and just a touch sour. The amber and beeswax make for a clean, creamy base. This makes me think of sun-kissed skin...warm and beachy. This is fresh, but not aquatic, nor is it really sweet. This is a standout...so different from many other designer fragrances today. Again, that salty ginger is perfection to me. I think this is suitable for anyone, anytime, anyplace. Love this stuff!

I love it!!!! Niche quality.not aquatic,but sandy-spicey, salty-marine. Close to birth. A woman's skin after bathing in sea,wet skin with sand crystals, smiling savoury lips after fun and lovemaking.This is a woman full of life, in the middle of living. Not a classic,sexy,trendy woman. She is the essence of life. No make-up,no style. Her power is nature,her beauty is endless. A little bit unisex? Growing up and spending a lot of time at the ocean during summers and winters you get a good handle of what the beach emanates as its fragrance. This is a misty evening at sundown and the salty spray surrounds you. Its light, with distinctive presence like the sea air. I was delighted and transported back to the shores of my childhood, in a modern chic way with nostalgia. It works on me. Surprised. Its a sentimental charmer for me...and I agree..a Mermaid would smell like this...

I am a huge unisex fan but there is nothing unisex about this, its too feminie. its my holiday perfume always puts me in a easy day kinda mood. goes perfect with days on the beach. its very potent for an EDT and now the price has come down it is in the affordable range. Salty and musk-lollie like it must be honey and bees wax im smelling. I love salt notes and if you do too you cant possibly be disappointed with this little number. Full marks all round. Scent 10/10 bottle 10/10

This one really blooms and performs superb in extreme heat (>35 celsius) and turns out to be a huge compliment getter from men, which I didn't expect since it's such an odd scent at first. Salty, floral, fresh and a balmy, too. Too bad where I live it is almost never this hot, but this will be my favorite holiday scent for sure! Update: still looooove this years later. Stocked up when it was on sale. If you see it and enjoy a salt note, get it!

Bvlgari did so well in evoking "The Birth of Venus" with this perfume! I find it to be wholly feminine and natural... it smells like sexy, warm, dewy naked skin. The salt and honeycomb offer the natural, primal elements which make this perfume so sexy and "real" while the magnolia, quince, and ginger heighten its femininity and power. The result is that this fragrance is both of the Earth and ethereal, just like Venus. Goddess nectar.

Aqva Divina is a mature scent to me. Pretty agree with the comment below mine (beautifulchaos): it's not a sweet or powdery scent. I don't feel any citrus and/or aquatic either. And it doesn't remind me the sea or the ocean. On my skin salt, ginger and woody notes are dominant. Sillage is soft, longevity moderate. The bottle is nice but not practical (reminds me of a beautiful shell - which suits to the perfume). Not for a blind buy.

Love this. Honeyed salty amber. Somewhat animalic on me. Rather sophisticated, cool yet warm, balanced and neutral. Longevity and sillage seem to vary depending on where it is sprayed; in the inside of my elbow (weaker) versus around the neck/throat (stronger); lingers more on fabric rather than skin; but dries down to become a beautiful skin scent. It is stronger and longer-lasting than I generally expect from an EDT.

Aqua Divina is salty, but also creamy and powdery. Almost gourmand, but not quite so - a bit like unbaked pastry. It's a nice scent, the bottle is a good illustration of it: pearl and gold. Rounded and gentle, but also metallic and mineral. Not an aquatic, but it is slightly marine. Despite its gentleness Aqua Divina is not a safe blind buy, the salty notes can be tiring, but beautiful for the right person.

Beautiful, soft floral at the core, but enough going on at the surface to make this a unique and lovely masterpiece for women. I bought this for my wife and it is heavenly. It has a lightness about it without being weak. I love the fact that it isn’t overly sweet or sickeningly fruity. Everything is balanced and beautiful, just like the lady I love. This is how I want her to smell. Divine, to be sure.

Opening: Delectable salty goodness. Fresh spicy, woody. I can see why some say unisex or masculine but I love it. Drydown: The saltyness fades. More sweetness comes through followed by the magnolia, wood and Amber. The drydown is definitely not masculine. It becomes softer and quite feminine but with only a hint of sweetness. Longevity: After 3hrs it's quite soft, faint and you need to reapply.

On me, this scent is like beach sand warmed by the sun. It's very dry and salty when it first enters your nose, but the lovely aquatic magnolia, spicy ginger, and tart quince hit the back of your throat on the finish. It reminds me a bit of Dune, but with a pretty aquatic back end. Perfect for sultry summer evenings, but I also can't wait to see how it performs in cooler weather this fall.
