A moment after the opening the vetiver and patchouli join the blend bringing some green tones which enhances the overall freshness, not prominent but noticeable; both the sandalwood and benzoin will add some sweet resinous touches, nothing too strong but enough to make the sweetness last, the fragrance continues to be mostly citrus and marine. The ambergris is a projecting and noticeable note, an earthy, slightly mineral, mossy, white musky-like accord that enhances other notes and boosts projection. The fragrance feels linear, most of the featured opening notes continue into the dry-down, the citrus notes lose some sharpness because of the sandalwood and benzoin but remain active. Still don't smell eggs What I will say is that this is one you should try to get a sample of first because its a very unique blue fragrence. I had a sample of the original (Pour Homme) and I loved the sea water and citrus notes. It was like a sweet seaweed type smell and it worked well. My only issue is that Pour Homme barley made it 6 hours on my skin. I found out about Atlantiqve on this website and since I loved the original I was comfortable with a blind buy. It was a good call. Everything I loved about the original seems to have been amped up in this version. The sweet sea notes really project better and the citrus notes balance things out well. It has an amber like scent on the drydown accompanied by those sea water notes. With 7 sprays I got about 11 hours of great performance on my skin and it isn't faint by any means. You can still notice it. The scent was still on my shirt the next day. This seems to be one of the most polarizing fragrances I have seen reviewed here,but this bottle will be in my rotation and I will buy again.I have gotten a couple of compliments so it does seem to have some broad appeal Also I live in the Gulf South so its hot and humid most of the year and this fragrance does well here. **Update 6/13** I just completed this bottle today and I had plans on buying it again, but I tried the Aqva Marine Flanker and that one smells a little bit better so I will order that one next. Aqva Marine has a more mass appeal to it while Atlantique is very unique, but still great. So again I will say to get a sample of Atlantique first before you buy it as that sea note is stronger on this version than any of the other flankers and for whatever reason when it comes in contact with some people's skin it smells like rotten eggs. I didn't have that problem, but again everyone is different Also its really hot today (100 degrees)and the sweeter citrus notes are coming out stronger and are actually overpowering the seaweed notes. This stuff really likes the high heat

For me personally this is my favorite in the Bvlgari Aqua line. Every house has made a BDC/Sauvage type of blue scent- This is Bvlgari's. But to me it's unique for a blue type modern aquatic. Sure it has a resemblance to Versace Dylan blue with a little of that applish sweet note and has Ambroxan type accords like Sauvage, but it also retains that aqua DNA. It makes the fragrance more interesting in the genre. I think the problem is that on some peoples skin or how they smell the fragrance, the salty marine notes might shine through more or be noticed by certain people more off their skin. I felt that way about the original aqua. It was coming off too salty and dirty off my skin. Aqua Marine had a great fresh opening, but I felt that it ran flat very quick into this static marine water smell. Very cool that they could pull that water sent off but I found it a bit boring. Amara smelled kind of wet doggish to me or something, so this one has been my favorite. I do not get an egg smell.. I get a very fresh, slightly sweet ultra marine fragrance that brings in elements of modern blue fragrances such as Dylan blue but retains the backbone of the Bvlgari Aqua line. The performance so far seems pretty good for a fresh scent. Out of the modern blue fragrances, this one might be my favorite thus far. Edit: For some reason the performance isn't as great as I thought. Maybe I go nose blind to it, but I would put it as very strong projection within the first 10 mins, then I would give it moderate ratings at best thus far.

Man what a shame. Like wtf is up with these reviews for this fragrance? Ham, Eggs? What?? How the #$# does this smell like eggs?? Why people say this smells like such weird shit is beyond me. To me it's just a fresh aquatic fragrance with some sweetness similar to Dylan blue-without the incense. I would say it is a more aquatic, fresh, bright version of dylan blue but it can remind you of other fragrances like maybe D&G light bleu intense as well. For the summer, I actually thought this one was the best out of those bleu fragrances listed. It was the typical bleu but with the aqua twist making it more marine and aquatic. It's gotten me compliments, the initial projection is monstrous and fortunately no one around me had broken noses and ever said I smell like eggs. I don't mean to be snotty, fragrances are a lot about subjective opinions, however, there is such a thing as ability to smell in an objective sense. Many people don't have the best sense of smell and yet we go by their opinions on whether or not to buy something. All these videos of girls on the street saying fresh scents are sweet and sugary and sugar scents too fresh. Just try things for yourself broken nose or not and pick what YOU think is good. I almost didn't get this fragrance because of all the eggheads here.. Glad I did since it seems all the best frags get reformed or discontinued.

I got this at a Marshall’s for a spectacular deal and always was curious to try this and the price was just right. First off, I keep seeing that this smells like eggs in cold weather. I don’t get any hint of that whatsoever. What I do get is a textbook blue fragrance. It’s very nice, elegant, almost like the perfect hybrid between Dior Sauvage and Versace Dylan Blue. Sauvage, for me, is just too powerful and scratchy with the pepper and ambroxan. Dylan Blue I do like, but for some reason doesn’t last as long and has something in it that makes me have a headache after a while. Aqva Atlantique splits the difference for me, taking some of the elements like a milder ambroxan and pepper feel or Sauvage and blends it with the sweeter watery notes of Dylan Blue. What results of this is an extremely strong, versatile performer. It lasts a ridiculously long time off me with 10+ hours of scent life and moderate sillage, picking up strong whiffs throughout a work day. Even with that, I would say it’s one of the mid to high range of the Bleu fragrances for me. It’s better than Dylan Blue and definitely better than Sauvage (I can see the appeal but man it’s on every dude I know almost), but it’s still not on the level of Bleu de Chanel or my personal favorite YSL Y EDP, but in the nice comfortable middle. We’ll see how it fares in warmer weather

On my quest to collect all the Bvlgari Aqva flankers, Atlantiqve remained the most elusive—by far the hardest to track down. But when I finally got my hands on it, it proved to be worth every second of the wait. It's baffling that Atlantiqve sits below a 4-star rating. This is easily one of the most mass-appealing and versatile scents in the entire line, rivaling even Aqva Amara in wearability. From the first spray, you're hit with a wave of salty fresh seawater, followed by bright, sparkling Citruses from the Sicilian Lemon and Calabrian Bergamot as well as some Mouthwateringly tart green apple. These crisp, invigorating notes settle over a clean, musky base of sun-bleached ambergris, making Atlantiqve one of the most realistic oceanic aquatics ever composed. What truly sets it apart is the unexpectedly beast-mode performance. On my skin, just two sprays give me around 8 hours of solid arm-length projection, while on clothes, it lingers for an impressive 10 hours. Ratings: Memorability/Uniqueness: (10/10) Longevity: (9/10) Sillage: (8/10) Overall: (9/10) — Perfect for spring and summer. UPDATE! If you layer YSL EDP with Acqua di Giò Profondo, you can replicate about 90% of Aqva Atlantiqve’s magic!

Absolutely needful for Indian heat. This scent is personification of ice-cold breeze which is much needed often in Indian sub-tropical weather. I get a clean, cold, metallic, slightly woody, very slightly sweet, mostly icy, less cloying and more powerful, more versatile Versace Dylan Blue. This one is really strong - 2 small sprays on the cuffs and you're good to go for next 4 hours. Doesn't change much with time but does the job of beating the heat - be it sports, mundane work, dealing shitty people with obnoxious logics and bad air quality. No, really, it does! Try it. Blind buy worthy - If you like Dylan Blue, Sauvage (which makes me nose-blind quicker than snapdragon 855) and Bvlgari Aqva, then go for it. Otherwise sample it. My Rating: Scent - 7/10 (Nothing groundbreaking or lovely) Performance - 9/10 (couldn't be better for a freshie) Price - 9/10 (This is cheap!) Versatility - 5/10 (Only suitable for heat/warm settings. This is slightly inappropriate for cold/evenings as per me) Overall for collection - 7/10 Peace

I'm such a fan of Bvlgari Aqva Atlantiqve that I spell it with the three v's. You have so much in that smooth stone-shaped bottle: a modern, aromatic and aquatic fragrance with citrus, woods and ambergris. Great performance! There is no doubt how strong this ocean potion really is. The current 3.93 rating above is quite low, especially considering the original Aqva's 4.14 and Marine's 4.05. I bet the reason for the rating is that Atlantiqve is actually too strong and can be off-putting to some. Perhaps it's the ambrox. There are the complaints about egg smells and headaches. It depends on a person's skin chemistry and olfactory system. Fortunately, I'm among those who love this. If only Dylan Blue performed the way this one does on me. I was also lucky enough to pick up a handful of these big bottles for a cheap price. The time has come. For, the future reviews of this fragrance will be more like eulogies. Apparently, Atlantiqve has reached a similar fate as Aqva Amara (another beauty of the sea). RIP.

First off, anyone who says they get an egg smell from this needs an appointment with an ENT doctor or are schizophrenics smelling figments of their imaginations, all because one idiot who probably never smelled this before claimed he smelled egg back when this came out. This not only smells exactly what you would want to wear on a hot day but its also a BEAST. Its about time iv come across an aquatic/oceanic scent that lasts 12+ hours. Going to a pool or beach party? 4 sprays of this and it'll stick around all afternoon and evening, even after being in the water. I do smell the similarities to sauvage and dylan blue, but I prefer this scent, outperforms Sauvage, it lasts 12+ hours on me and 24+ hours if I overspray on my clothes, only downside is its not as versatile as Sauvage or DB as its strictly a high heat frag but who cares, save this one for summer and stay smelling fresh and clean during the hot weather.

Lord all might! The prettiest blue fragrance I ever seen and own...so enticing. So, I got this over a few weeks ago and the bottle made me remind of Sergio Tacchini Ozone, but I digress. The deal is, I've sprayed it on me, and what it came to my mind was that salty scent breeze of the ocean. So, to all the beach lovers and everyone who loves the scent of summer...and the smell of ocean, this is a fragrance meant for you. It works great for spring weather and definitely hot summer days. The longevity is pretty darn good it can go 9+ hours on your skin easy peasy. The projection though...well, I feel it's kind of discrete. It's the kind of perfume that you wear, but people must be near you to smell you. A real pleasant fragrance no doubt about it and also very versatile plus, it's pretty affordable too. You can wear and tear it anytime you want it, anywhere you want it. My overall for this fragrance 9 out of 10.

So some bottles have the egg smell & some do not? I’m trying to wrap my head around this. Mine DEFINITELY had this at first, I haven’t touched it in years. Coming back to it now that Egg smell has now vanished & it smells so wonderful. I can almost hear I’m Blue da ba dee by Eiffel 65 every time I spray this thing. The performance is also peculiar, it has the lasting power of an EDP but the blasting power of an EDT this is by far & away Bvlgari’s best freshie. It doesn’t smell like Dylan blue it doesn’t it’s not as light as D&G Light Blue it’s deeper & fuller but not in the way Savauge EDT is it’s slightly more aquatic & lighter than that. This is extremely good, Bvlgari should definitely revisit this with an EDP formulation because it’s better than just about all other main stream aquatics. It has syntheticness to it but not near the amounts of others making it much more refreshing & easier to wear.

I took this one for granted initially and rarely reached for it because it happened to be a bored blind-buy hanging around at the duty free section in the airport while my wife was looking for something. I started paying more attention to it after hearing rumours that it got discontinued so I then began using it more often and gradually started to form an appreciation for this scent. I can totally see why this is such a beloved flanker from the Bvlgari Aqva line within the fragrance community. This has incredible lasting power and is able to fight off extreme summer heat easily while keeping you smelling incredible. Can easily double as a blue fragrance when the temps cool down too. Bvlgari should absolutely bring this back. I can never understand why the good stuff keeps getting discontinued.

Not picking up any raw eggs from this. Smells like the beach. Would be generic smelling blue but has a salty beachy note that makes it stand out a bit. Really I think it's just decent but my fiance loves it and it actually projects and lasts which is hard to find from a summer fragrance, so I where it often. My coworker asked me if I was wearing axe, but also said it smelled good, so take from that what you will. Now when I wear it at work I'm referred to as axe. "Hey axe." Just a joke though and coworkers seem to like. They're the kind to tell me if they didn't. Anyway at the discounted price you can easily find it for, I highly recommend as an easy blind grab for spring and especially summer.

@ismellsomething Unfortunately some notes on our skin tend to smell very different as compared to other people. I had the same problem with Invictus Aqua 2016. It went foul on my skin after 5 minutes. Like something rotten. I tested it around 10 times with the same result and prior to this experience when i'd read people complaining about a scent going bad on them I thought it was no 1 bullshit. Thus I sold my bottle even though it was a very well sought after frag which had been discontinued. Anyway long story long Atlantiqve on me smells amazing and lasts all day. Literally the smell of the ocean made fresher and as pleasing as possible.

I truly believe this is one that everyone should own. But if you live in a high heat area, high 90s to triple digits, you HAVE to own this. This could be someone's one and only fragrance, and they'd be set for any situation and any weather. I find a lot of "blue fragrances" to be too cloying in extremely high heat situations. That's not the case with this. But not only does it work perfectly in high heat, it'll work perfectly in the winter as well. And it smells fantastic. And it performs fantastically. I think if anyone hates on this, they're just trying to be "unique" or something. There is zero reason to not like this.

I understand the negativity - especially from collectors who want something big, new and groundbreaking. i get it, i really do! however, this isn't for collectors with those types of expectations. this is for the masses - the people who go to the mall once every few years and grab the best new smell. it's a fantastic smell. it checks all the notches you could ever want checked. Masculine? yes. Summer? yes. Longevity? yes.Smells good? yep! so - at the end of the day, while it won't please many who frequent this forum, it certainly does the trick. It's a great release and better, IMO, than sauvage or dylan blue. 6/10

The opening is aquatic, citrusy, salty, and slightly bittersweet. The sweetness of the calabrian bergamot note almost tastes like the one in Sauvage EDT. It is indeed very similar to the Dylan Blue in the drydown; Atlantiqve is just a bit cooler, saltier, less ambery, and less aromatic. It's smells like a cross between D&G Light Blue Eau Intense x Sauvage in the opening; and Dylan blue in the drydown. Very fresh and pleasant composition, and I am saddened by its discontinuation. In all honesty however, you could grab any of the aforementioned fragrances and you wouldn't be missing out by much. ✅Excellent

The best blue there ever was... Imagine Dylan Blue (which i reckon almost everyone who is mildly interested in scents has tried or smelled) but with added depth and made more sophisticated all the while amping up the performance to beast mode. What went on with Bvlgari to discontinue this is a question I ask myself almost everyday; and I would give up all my scents just to get a few dozen bottles of this and use it all time. If you can manage to find a bottle, protect it with a cavalry and enjoy that scent 1 sniff per second till the last drop! My favourite for all time and always, RIP.

I recently heard of the discontinuation of Aqva Atlantique so I decided to blind buy it before it gets to hard or expensive to find. I love the opening. My wife also loves the opening. However about 5 to 10 minutes after spraying it turns into something off putting to me and my wife. It doesn't resemble egg to me. I have heard others say ham,and that would be a good description of what it smells like to me after the opening is gone. I will continue to try it out as it gets closer to summer but this dry down smell really isn't something I can deal with.

Blue, ambroxen, salty ocean. Gets lots of compliments. Smooth to my nose. Stands apart from other blues. I don’t get the egg smell people talk about and people. Maybe that’s certain peoples skin types. Last long in the heat 8-10 hours. Can go nose blind to it. It would be worth buying again for $75 or under. Too bad it’s been discontinued. I like it better than Sauvage and Dylan blue. Smells Close to Dylan blue tho. 9/10 overall. Usually 5-6 sprays for me. It’s not a nuke like some people say, but performance is above average for sure.
