Bvlgari Man Rain Essence

This fragrance taught me not to trust Fragrantica ratings too much. I've smelled 4+ star fragrances blended worse than this, which isn't saying too much as this is masterfully crafted. Perfectly rounded out, notes don't jump out at you whatsoever. A simple fragrance with some depth lent to it by the amber that makes it pretty unique in my opinion. I don't think you'd be able to properly understand this fragrance without putting it on skin as the slight ambery warmth is honestly what makes this so great and a stand-out for me. Not reminiscent at all, but it's helped me realize I love fresh ambers along with Ambra Calabria. Don't trust any opinion that hasn't tested this on skin. I was intrigued smelling it on paper, but it didn't resonate anywhere near enough for me to desire going back to it. I was randomly going through samples today when I decided to give this a second chance and I'm very glad I did. This is addicting to me, I keep going back for more. Would I buy retail (if I didn't have fresh fragrances already)? Yes, honestly. Only reason I wouldn't right now is because I have a fresh amber in my Ambra Calabria and with the amount of samples and fragrances I dance around trying day to day, I probably won't finish this sample before it hits discounters, especially with how lackluster the response seems to be from the public. Keep in mind though, I don't have the bias of owning any ADG or Bvlgari, what I've smelled (ADG profumo, profundo, absolut and such that ulta carries) has been in store and never stood out as unique enough for me to own or wear on myself. I would definitely own this for myself. It's going in my very short list of designer fragrances I really want to add to my collection. This hits up more toward niche quality than your typical loud and proud designers, which is obviously thanks to the perfumer we most-all have come to appreciate. You could brand this juice under a niche house and I could see it selling for ~200.

I absolutely love this one. I’ve always wanted to find a watery, rainy type of scent since I started out in this infatuation with fragrance. I’m very much a Pisces only because of the water aspect lol, corny I know but I love water, to drink, to look at, to feel on my skin, and it has so many different variations of smells to it in certain circumstances. Trying out “aquatic” scents has been extremely disappointing bc it just smells like shower gel and cologney, hate that stuff. That being said, I love silver mountain water, I think the green and black tea have a watery effect to me. If not watery just a very clean fresh zen smell. And I don’t really see the silver mountain water comparison too much beside maybe the tea. But Bvlgari killed this one, it’s calming, fresh but not like reg freshies. This one is not cologney, it’s not cloyingly synthetic. I don’t know how to really sum this one up except that I get the watery rainy vibes, I get that tea zen, and I get this floral freshness that drives this home. One problem also that I have with this website and reviews in general, scents like this, the fresher ones, probably have ingredients that spoil faster, leading me to wonder what kind of spoiled testers or discounters selling spoiled batches, even sample vials or atomizers can spoil a fragrance. So I take reviews with a grain of salt big time, because I’ve smelled rancid fragrance, thought it was trash and thought who would buy this synthetic mess, then I smelled it somewhere else and it was fine or I even loved it. So keep that in mind guys, these scents spoil like anything else, and maybe wonder why you got the frag for HALF OF RETAIL PRICE, oh maybe because it’s an old ass batch. I’m a guy who pays full price for his fragrance, because I like fresh stuff and those ingredient spoil faster, especially top notes which people pick up first.

Bvlgari Man Rain Essence Bvlgari When Rain Essence came out, It triggered my interest, after all I have a few bottles under Bvlgari Man and liked Glacial Essence. However, initial feedbacks seem to point towards a mediocre release. Managed to get a good deal on Rain Essence and here's my take... On first sprays, you get a lovely orangey tea Opening. Soft, light, delicate opening, gives you the calmness and laid-back feel. I get the tea yea kinda greenish. The orange is somewhat like orange peel, similar type of orange in Infusion de Fleur d'Oranger Prada but much lighter. After 15-20 minutes I get the crystal Muskiness which blends pretty well with the green tea essence and orange essence. I'm not totally familiar with the white lotus notes but it should be it giving the scent the light flora Airyness feel. The mineral amber and woodiness comes in later, yes I get that because Rain Essence isn't Linear, there isn't a lot of notes but it develops for the wearer to get the notes development. After all this is still Alberto Morillas's creation, the whole line is his. Back to the scent I do get Abit of Aquatic in this too. I don't think there's geosmin in it as it doesn't smell earthy damness. If you already own the discontinued Pour Homme Soir or even the og or extreme m, I'll suggest you give Rain Essence a sampling first as there are similarities and vibes to PH Soir, I'll say somewhat +-60% similar. Overall this is an enjoyable light, airy, calm, laid-back fragrance to enjoy over the weekends or holidays or when you want a chill mood.

Does anyone know why is this labelled as a man fragrance?? It smells very unisex to say at least, if not more on the feminine side. Smells fresh and clean. It’s a nice, basic, classic fragrance, soft, smooth, luminous, bright, calming, unpretentious. Light, airy, aquatic, ozonic. After shower type of scent. Beautiful mix of green tea, aquatic floral, musk, citrus, and woods. Very beautifully composed and well balanced. So underrated in my opinion. The main downside of this type of scents is the way they perform. Average longevity with minimal, intimate sillage. Office safe for sure, can’t see anyone being offended by this, unless they hate musky, green tea fragrances. Side note: As a longtime lover of another Bvlgari, Omnia Crystalline, Rain Essence reminds me heavily of that. From the first spray, I was instantly hooked and I knew it reminded me of something that I already had home, but only when I had tested these two side by side I realised that this is very similar to Omnia Crystalline. A less woody version but nonetheless beautiful spring summer scent. If you’re a lover of Omnia Crystalline like me (or the original Issey Miyake, L’Eau d’Issey) and you want something more affordable in the same style of perfumery, created by the same nose, Master Perfumer Alberto Morillas, and you’re not bothered about the perfume gender labelling, this one is a better value for money! Give it a sniff ladies, this is amazing juice for warmer seasons that truly deserves more attention..

Mi perfume favorito para el calor! Como no serlo fue un amor a primera vista, un día estaba en el aeropuerto en Duty Free haciendo la hora probando perfumes, vi el nombre y inmediatamente fui detrás de él "Esencia de lluvia" lo atomize y quede anonadado, encantado por alguna razón (No he visto que nadie diga esto) le sentí un aroma a coco! Pero un coco muy fresco como agua de coco y se me creó la necesidad de tenerlo no lo pude comprar en ese momento pero mi esposa me lo regalo alos meses después. [Reseña olfativa] Es increíble, como no serlo si el perfumista es Alberto morillas, una eminencia en la perfumería haciendo perfumes frescos! En mi opinión su salida tiene esa agua de coco, junto con un Te verde con bastante hielo y levemente esas gotas que salen cuando doblas una cascara de naranja, luego se vuelve levemente floral lo que le da ese toque elegante me imagino esos arboles sakura de japon 🪷 con su toque medio amaderado para mi perfecto! [Conclusión] Ya se me esta acabando y sin duda volveré a comprar otra botella, esto para el calor es perfecto y para uno de esos dias donde la brisa acompaña también, Aroma 10/10, Duración 7/10 es en lo que carece un poco pero también hay tener en cuenta que los perfumes frescos son algo efervescentes, precio 10/10, 80 usd lo encontré me parece muy bien por lo que obtienes.

Given that this is almost a dupe of Bvlgari pour Homme Soir, which I also own, I probably shouldn't have given this a 'love.' Still, since I love pour Homme Soir, and anything associated with rain, and Bvlgari as a brand, and the sleek modernistic bottle design, I'll give this one a 'love' rating. If you have pour Homme Soir, don't bother with this one. It is almost the same thing, with Man Rain Essence being more diluted. This Bvlgari Man Rain Essence serves only one purpose: to provide a dupe of pour Homme Soir. If you can't get your hands on that one, this is a good alternative, since the scent is 95% similar. (Morillas, are you copying Cavallier these days now?) Of course, it does smell nice, but pour Homme Soir has better projection, is more intense, and lasts longer. I wouldn't have got this one had I known the smell were this similar. That said, I love the bottle and the packaging of Man Rain Essence. At least it doesn't copy Glacier Essence, which is pure abomination, in my opinion.

I gave in and bought a full 100 mL bottle after few wearing. I love this. Clean, Transparent, Musk Rainy day can be depressing, especially when it gets dark, and when its a heavy rain. But rain on a happy day, those that you get occasionally on one of the sunny days, it gives an impression of "washing away" the dirty things, sad feelings and paints the water "transparent". Rain Essence is exactly that... figuratively speaking. The green tea used in this one is similar to Au The Vert by Bvlgari. The construction itself reminds me more towards Au The Vert than other Bvlgari pour homme, Extreme or Soir. Transparent musk can be the underlying similarities along with the "tea accord". Cleanliness of the tea decreases in that order accordingly; (Soir having the roughest, leather-like facet to the tea) It all boils down to this: Rain Essence really is a simpler version of Bvlgari's more complex yesteryear fragrances. Generic for sure, but also sometimes simplicity is all you need in your life.

Alberto Morillas with another home run. Wonderful freshy that opens with a striking punch and scent that is extremely similar to Artisan Pure but leaning more into the tea scent with that wonderful lotus but in a nice masculine way. Literally can't go wrong with this scent, it's just a really well executed clean fresh scent. Average performance and sillage, and probably best to try to get it on a discounters site, but other than that, it's wonderful. As someone who adores freshies, this is such a pick me up, big thumbs up. 9/10 -Update. A trusted fragrance nose told me it smells grandma'ish and has messed up my mind for wearing this one. I still reach for it but hardly like before... I hate that I'm like that but also this opinion put me on some heat so yeah... sad face. The glacial essence one though is straight fire so there's that.

Very nice modern fresh citrusy woody aromatic aquatic floral fragrance. It has a very beautiful and natural smelling Bergamot Cedar Vetiver accord and no synthetic Ambrox or Amberwood notes, at least not noticeable. It doesn't remind of anything in particular and I don't remember Bvlgari Pour Homme smelling like that. If you ignore the Tea and Lotus, a green floral aquatic background accord which isn't dominant anyway, you will be left with no specific "reminds me of" options to pick from. So, I wouldn't focus too much on that and just take the fragrance as it is, without making imaginary connections. The performance is very good, above average for a freshie, showing that it's indeed EDP concentration. Highly recommended if you want to take a step back from all the mainstream Ambrox Amberwoods.

A lot of reviewers say things like "nothing special". What do you want? Firecrackers popping out of the bottle? What makes a fragrance good is if it smells good. This smells great! That's the only thing that will ever matter. I also love the concept. The notes are kind of brilliant. I tried a sample then ordered a bottle the same day. I also need more summer fragrances. The performance is good. It's light, and i do prefer light fragrances for the summer. You'll also be unique since I consider this to be a bit unique, and no one even knows about this let alone are wearing it. They're busy wearing Sauvage, BDC, Eros, Born in Roma, Acqua Di Gio, YSL Y and Myself.

Blind buy for me, and a safe one I might add. It doesn't scream for attention. I have frags that do that. This one is eloquently done. It is a calm reserved scent but its masterfully done by a master perfumer. You can grab it for under 60 bucks. It doesn't break the wallet. And it can be an everyday wear for work or when you just wanna smell good for your significant other. Summer is the season or any hot day to wear this in my opinion. Don't know why there are any negative reviews or just "ok"? I think we all live in a time when everybody wants BEAST MODE performance? But I'm giving this one some love because I think it's a banger.

First of all, I love it. It is a green tea bomb. It is absolutely similar to CK Summer 2019, which is another favourite of mine. Definitely unisex, definitely the best summer scent, simply incredible. Usually, my favourite perfumes are quite heavy, gourmand and sweet. In the last few years Green tea has become my favourite note besides tonka, vanilla and tobacco, so it is always good to have something for the summer that is well accepted. In Europe you can find CK summer 2019 at Lilly for 25 euros, this Bvlgari is much more expensive but if you get the chance - simply try it

I just sprayed Creed SMW and Bvlgari Man Rain Essence in both my hands and have been smelling them for a few hours. They're not identical (duh), but they're very close. I'd just say it's a bit more musky and a bit less spicy, but apart from that almost no difference. Pretty much everyone who likes SMW will like this and vice versa. It's at least 80% of the smell, but even better performance on my skin. At 1/4 of the price, I just don't see myself ever recommending Creed's SMW while this exists and doesn't have an artificial, sintetic smell (looking at you Armaf).

Actually it's quite nice and long lasting, and it serves really well as daily fragrance, very office appropriate as it lasts a whole day easily. Compliments magnet. The scent has strong similarity to Bvlgari Man and Bvlgari Man Extreme, though, that it will be redundant if you have already owned one of those, IMHO. But if you are a collector, this is worth to have to complete your collection of the line. Such a beautiful masculine scent.

Honestly, this is the best fragrance I've ever had the pleasure to get my nose on. Every note is blended together with such craftsmanship it's actually crazy. The second i tried it at Macy's i picked up a full bottle. It's my signature now. The musk and green tea carry the ever-evolving amber, orange, and lotus notes, which come together to smell like musky petrichor. 2023 has produced some fantastic stuff. BUY THIS!

2nd Bvlgari from my collection, really calm smell compared to the BLV, i mean it's a spicy fragrance after all. the green tea really kicks my nose when i first sniffed it, fell in love in the first sniff. When the drydown hits, it smells more of a mix of sweet and fresh. Would recommend for those who are bored with "masculine" spicy, sea notes, citrusy fragrances. This one takes 9/10.

Love this! At first it wasn’t really something I liked but as a lover of the Bulgari Man line this one grew on me as I continued wearing it throughout the day! Very fresh, clean, mature and sophisticated scent! I can’t pick up notes in fragrances that most people can unfortunately but it smells great! Definitely a spring/summer scent and can’t wait to try it out in those season.

What a lovely fragrance. I must say, this is really pleasent, like a walk out in the rain in a quiet street. It is light, fresh and masculine. What I really adore from this fragrance is how light it really is. If it is raining, you can bet that I will be reaching to this one as a no brainer. 10/10

Bvlgari & Alberto knocked it out of the park with this one. I bought this on site! Great performance and longevity for a designer fragrance & as a serious collector of high end niche fragrances, this surprised the heck out of me. Get your snot locker on this bad boy asap! Worth every cent!

This line is usually terrible but not this one. It is an amazing summer fragrance with very satisfying longevity. I also find it totally unisex similarly to the CK One line but it is fresh, very green and pleasant. I totally recommend it to someone who loves musk and green tea notes.
