Bvlgari Rose Essentielle Eau De Toilette Rosee

Rose Essentielle L'eau de Toilette Rosee (as it states on the box) is a scent of fresh roses and patchouli. It's ultra feminine and delicate. The patchouli note stood out to me from the first whiff. It gives an earthy and sophisticated feel. It mixes pleasantly with the soft, sweet roses. This perfume has very simple components, yet it's not lacking depth. The violet note does not stand out particularly, but gives it a delicate powdery note. Very elegant! As this perfume wears on my skin, the bitter patchouli note dissipates, and the scent gets more subtly sweet. At that point I detect a hint of fruit. Orange and bergamot are the notes listed here, but I think blackberry is more accurate since I don't get any citrus note from this, and blackberry is listed in the original EDP. I also don't smell any other flowers than rose in this. Jasmine could be there, but probably mixed completely into the patchouli. The musk is not strong but ever-present here. It rounds the perfume, gives it a warm, sensual feel as opposed to the earthy greenness. This perfume is fresh, but not crisp, unlike Paul Smith Roses. The latter is more of a simple, innocently crisp rose. It's also earthier and more tuned-down than Roses de Chloe. It reminds me of L'eau de Chloe, another of my favorite rose-scented perfumes.They share the same patchouli note. But the rose note in Essentielle is fresher and closer-to-real. L'eau de Chloe has quality of the Chloe EDP, which is a rich, ambery, vintage rose. To me, Rose Essentielle is the most elegant and sophisticated out of all. It requires some taste to appreciate. I love the scent now, but I remember hating it the first time I smelled it two years ago. I couldn't handle the patchouli in there. I was more into Paul Smith Rose back then. As an EDT, the longevity is beyond my expectation. I can still sniff it after 5 hours. I think this is the best line of Bvlgari perfumes. I also adore the Mon Jasmine Noir and Mon Jasmine Noir L'eau Exquise (No one does jasmine like Bvlgari!). Also, it does smell like Vera Wang Truely pink! Which is also an amazing scent. :) :)

I have always been a huge fan of Bvlgari's even since i have come back in to the fragrance scene. They never release a dull fragrance, always refined and accurately tuned to smell very rich and smooth. Roses are obviously the centerfold to this delightful creation, held up so tenderly by the other accords. Almost as if the other accords are sacrificing the virgin, youthful and sweet rose to God himself! Roses are one of my most favorite fragrant flowers, besides jasmine, and orange blossom. I remember my mother and grandmother when i was a child (4-6) taking me to this far away place where there were flowers, knick knacks for your home and food made-from-scratch. This place was called "Ashcombs" and we would visit it once in the spring, and once in the fall to get all sorts of different seasonal flowers for my mothers garden, and food for my endless appetite for savory delectables. I also remember specifically (when i wasn't running from the hungry, greedy bees) taking the time to gather the fragrances from many different flowers into my nostrils. One in particular that i would always vist over and over before we left was the rose. So soft and tender, the sweet rose was very pleasing to my young nose, and smelled very sobering in a cool early june breeze. The woman that wears this fragrance surely is well spoken, humorous and seductive, everybody loves her, and the people that don't, completely envy her. I approve Smell: 10 Longevity: 9 Sillage: 6.5

The perfection of this rose scent is astounding. After smelling this one I will be forever spoiled for any other! It is to me what catnip is to some cats; I would love to roll in the stuff. It sparkles, yet it's gentle. It's clear but muted. There is a hint of spice but it's rosy. It's got a distinct personality...and I think it's me! Since I love it so much, I don't mind that it only lasts about four hours on my skin because I'll enjoy re-applying it. Edit: I would like to add that the patchouli note in this is integrated into the fragrance in a completely smooth way. It works beyond what I would have expected. Fortunately, I didn't know what the notes in it were when I smelled it for the first time. This fragrance has complete harmony with no jarring notes to my nose. Smelling it on my skin is like listening to beautiful music. I have received many compliments while wearing it.

I loved this EDT so so much, it's light, sweet rosee and fresh, airy like, as if iam flying on soft clouds -- but it is like a deflated balloon, it is not long lasting. The 100ml bottle is massive and heavy so there is no way i will carry that in my bag to reapply every few hours. I thought i was smart - I went off and get the EDP hoping that it would last longer. Well, EDP truly last well over 6 hours. OK, i feel very bad when i say this, but this EDP is strange, it is like cat pee... sorry... it is that weird. Why the EDT is so different to the EDP? To fix this cat pee error, i sprayed 1 of EDP and 5sprays of EDT....well, that will fix it ...temporarily... until the EDT is gone... i smell like cat pee again...argggg..... seriously, i will give this EDP away, and will only buy EDT in future.

I bought this one as well for my best friend for her bday last week, and it absolutely complimented her to no end! My best friend is a very big rose perfume wearer, and her queen of scents is of course Lola. But when i had her open this perfume and spray it on herself, it was like a different kind of heaven to what Lola provides. Love the smell of roses and that orange blossom and jasmine, even though you can just smell them, still compliments the rose, giving it that boost of feminine it needs, the powdery musk when it hits cooling off and drying down was sensual as well. In the end, it ended up smelling kind of like a musk stick and made me want to eat her wrist, but it was still great! Another great blind buy from myself, and im glad i got it for her! 9.5/10!

Love the smell but I also wish it would have better silage and longevity. Nothing worse than loving a smell but it doesn't last on your skin. Does it stay longer on clothes maybe? What brand of great rose smell has better longevity and silage? Edit: I have since bought this as it was hugely discounted. I have worn it now a few times and still smells great. I have found that its longevity is better than my initial test. It lasts 4 to 6 hours on average. It is a fragrance you can spray your clothes to extend its life. Love it. I still think the stronger the better. I think all age groups would like it as my teenage daughter likes it as well as my mum but its definitely not as some say "old lady" or "sickly sweet girly".

To me, this is a fresh rose scent with a glimpse of a tea note upon first spray. However, as I allow the perfume to develop on my skin, my body chemistry causes it to transform into a warmer and sweeter scent as the base notes of musk emerge. This transformation is what allows me to use this perfume for all occasions; it is an easy transition from work to night, from spring to winter. Bvlgari Rose Essentielle EDT is a perfume that radiates elegance and luxury. It is undoubtedly feminine, albeit more refined than conventional sweet scents. I believe that this perfume would be suitable for all ages, however as it develops rather differently with different body chemistries, I would recommend testing before purchase.

I generally do not like rosy fragrances. So I wasn't interested in this one when I saw it, but my mom loves roses so much so I bought it for her. However, from the second I smelled Rose Essentielle, I'm in love with it. I can't stop sniffing my mom when she wears this :) The sillage is pretty good and powerful, and it lasts! I put it on yesterday afternoon, and I can still smell it. It's not overbearingly rosy to my nose, beautifully -and indistinctively- blended with jasmine. It awakes a happy feeling and is suitable for day, though I'd wear it at night too.

To me, this is a very subtle scent. I feel I can wear it with lotion with a little bit of a scent (currently Olay Shimmer, which smells very clean). I don't know if they just work particularly well together or what, but I've been getting so many compliments every day on this. It smells very clean, very rose. Almost smells like, when you're wearing it, YOU are the thing that smells good, if that makes any sense. This was a blind buy because I saw it for $10 at a discount store, and I generally love Bvlgari anything.

I absolutely love this. It is my first time trying Bvlgari, and I love rose - this scent is unique. It smells of true roses and I always get compliments from men and women when I wear it. A lot of people have said it doesn't last very long, luckily on me rose scents cling well to my skin. Throughout the day I get whiffs of myself and think "woo!" It smells romantic and delicious and feminine.

I love Rose Essentielle (EDP) so i have to try this. This is very similar to EDP. They share the little sour Rosy note that i like. EDT is more fruity, have quieter silliage and shorter longevity. But it can be used in Winter, just like EDP can be used in Summer. I think it is up to individual taste, whether they want a 'bigger' or a 'quieter' fruity rose. I love both and have to have both.

This perfume was gifted to me on my Birthday from my husband. I really like that it is a light rose scent that is youthful and fresh. Perfectly suited for day time wear. On my first time wearing this I was taken back a little by the initial musk scent and this reminded me of SJP's lovely but this settled quickly and the beautiful rose and bergamot scent started to sing. Gorgeous.

My mom bought this for me, and what an excellent choice. Initially on me it smells very lemony (my husband compares it to lemonade) but then it quickly settles into a baby soft, dewy rose. Longevity & sillage are about average (my only quibble is I wish it was a little better.) But what a stunning spring fragrance, and now I'll be cheking out some of the Bvlgari Jasmine line.

I love this scent, its in my top 5 favorites. I have been wearing this to work and was told that I smell 'expensive', which I took as a great compliment! I have been wearing this on hot summer days, and unlike a lot of other rose scents I don't find the sweetness sickly or overpowering - its very very fresh smelling. If applied liberally this scent will last all day on me.

This was my first perfume, it was a gift and will always be very special to me. I love how it smells like a big bunch of dewy roses straight from the cool room, and how it can be delicate or HERE I AM depending on how you wear it or the weather (I personally love it in summer, just one spray on the chest/neck).

I am another who is disappointed that the scent disappears so quickly. I prefer the edt to the edp in terms of scent. The edt is all round softer, lighter, more joyful but sadly vanishes in under 2 hours. I may try spritzing my clothes instead of my skin? Because it is a lovely smell t have around.

I thought I had tested this one but it must have been the EDP. I think I need the more woodsy base. This is fresh and pleasant but not quite strong enough enough to satisfy my rosey sweet tooth. It is doing a disappearing act in this humidity. Hoping it will fare better in different weather.

I buy this yesterday, i never expected such a GEM OF PERFUME, i never smell rose in this lovely way, i couldn't stop smelling my hand, is really really eternal. am just waiting to go somewhere on a trip, to use this peace of art, so i can always remember it, when i smell this perfume. 10/10

I have been fortunate enough to get a second hand bottle of this discontinued gem. However, I am also in absolute distraught to have fallen head over heels over Rose Essentielle. I love the sparkling wine boozy side to its rose. I hope to get a bigger bottle in ebay soon!

The most romantic fragrance for me and yet with a very well-shaped personality. An intimate, close-to skin fragrance, that works so naturally to the body chemistry and warmth! I guess it's the combination rose-jasmine-musk that makes it such a natural skin fragrance!

I used up my bottle I bought years ago and have looked for it since. Now I can't find it without needing to pay an arm and a leg. It was such a beautiful rose scent and I miss it. Someday I hope to get it back to my collection.

This is one of the loveliest perfumes made by Bvlgari... actually I like most Bvlgari perfumes, but this one is classy, feminine, tender and sexy all at the same time.... I wish I could have it than it would be perfect :)

smells a bit synthetic but overall a really lovely scent profile, def one of my favorites of all time it reminds me of my mom. looove the mild patchouli notes it adds just a dash of complexity it so desperately needed

I really adore rose scents. But they are getting out of hand on my shelf, since I have about 5 different rose perfumes, 2 of which I really haven't delved into yet. Today I decided to wear 'Tea Rose' (the rosiest of the roses, if you will) since it is Saturday, and I can spray my self in a rose garden and not worry about offending others. So, properly adorned with 'Tea Rose,' I dug into my Bulgari Rose EDT and tested it out today. Straight roses, right? Wrong! Wrong! Beautiful all the same...an almost fruity rose in the beginning, with roses fruit weaving in and out for about an hour. It gets to the base fairly quickly, which is a slightly vanillic-powdery, floral hued rose. Compared to 'Tea Rose' it is much less linear, and much less rosey. I like it alot none the less--though it doesn't last long. I wonder if it would be better to get the EDP? Rose scents seem to have a bad rap for some reason. I don't know why. Anyway, I think that this one would be eminately wearable for work, and if you get tired of roses, they certainly change in character and intensity during the wearing. So although I have many scents of rose, this is definetely an alternative versus a copy of other roses.

This is a pretty rose fragrance. It reminds me a lot of the Rose Eseentielle EDP, it has the same kind of jammy, berry-fruity rose that has a hint of spicy warmth, like cinnamon. Smelling this makes me think of the time when I had just finished school, because back then I had a friend who used lots of the EDP. But the EDT Rosee is lighter and fresher. I get more clean skin musk and less patchouli, at least until the final drydown. Like most fragrances, this gets sweeter and warmer after some time on the skin. It's not a very powdery or soapy rose scent, luckily. This is nice, but in the end, it's a typical light rose scent and not that unique or special to me. While this is not an intense or extreme long lasting fragrance (it's a floral EDT after all), it performs much better than many current Bvlgari fragrances that for some reason feel very thin and fleeting to me.

I bought this exquisite juice today as I'm looking for a scent that will get me through summer as so far I have been buying perfumes that are appropriate for winter and spring I saw this on sale in the nearby pharmacist and immediately sprayed the tester on my wrists. The initial scent was very in your face citrus floral aroma so I bought it straight away, I liked the initial attraction :). Then after about half hour it dawned on me that is similar in smell to my SJP Lovely that I stopped using for a while as it doesn't smell as enticing on my skin anymore as the climate gets warmer here. This is like a love child of SJP Lovely and CK Eternity Moment, only Rose Essentialle is more refined and straightforward. I don't dislike this perfume is so inoffensive and pretty I just wish I can find something with a bit more edge. 3.5/5 all in all for me.

I'm leaving my old review, but I will have to post a new one. Here's the deal: this is a FRUITY FLORAL. FRUITY FRUITY FRUITY!!! Thats right. It's funny that the write up emphasizes rose, jasmine, musk, etc. Because what I get without layering this with another floral is mostly fruit, red berry jam fruit, with some flowers in the background. The drydown is the same vanilla/fruit/floral whisper (hardly a musk), but the majority of this scent delves into the fruity floral genre. Now this is still not an obnoxious, tween frag, but since I see that it was specifically formulated for a 'younger' generation, I can see why they put so much berry fruit into the formula. I still like it. Very suitable for work, unlike my straight up rose scents. Although I do wish there to be more rose!

Pure but light rose. A gentle everyday fragrance for my climate (hot, humid, US zone 9b). It’s an easy pleaser for someone unsure if rose is for them or beginners. I do love it on the right person but on me becomes stale and one-note. Gave to a roommate that adores roses and it smells enchantingly clever on her. I did try my best to wear it as a work fragrance and was not disappointed financially as I found it at a TjMaxx or the like years ago. This is a rose perfume for women under 35, light and jubilant, compared to mature rose scents like Jo Malone’s Velvet Rose & Oud and Portrait of a Lady. If you know roses smell nice on you this would be a safe blind buy.

I got this months ago and tried it and just thought UMM okay nothing great,and put it away in the dark.I usually lean towards frags that pack a punch - perfumes that I can smell all day, and will not be ignored. But now there has been some warmer weather here and I started thinking about a spring fragrance, (to get away from the heavy winter scents) and I brought this out again and I sprayed it and I love it. This perfume is so soft, pretty, gentle,light and airy. I've been applying it to my pillow at bedtime and it lulls me off to sleep.The only drawback is it does not last as long as those I'm used to wearing, but for sure a spring time fave.

I've just recieved this, I asked the person for EDP but I don't know if the mistake is deliberate. Tea rose first off, settles into a softly sweet powdery rose, it's quite nice. Very beautiful. I like them a bit stronger but I'm now deciding I do not wish to wear power frags all the time. Stella is very Rossy compared to this. Chloe de roses is fresher maybe greener rose, I'm yet to try the EDP of b r e I hear narcisco is roses bit I have not done well with his frags... may try them again. It's very hot and humid here now, so I will use in winter too.

This was a blind buy, but one of the good ones. Rose Essentielle EDT is basically what it's name stands for - essential for all rose fans. It is an extremlely elegant, sofisticated and feminine perfume, but not too formal or "serious". The rose and citruse notes are the most prominent, with a little bit of musk. I think this perfume is good for basically any occasion and season wise, perfect for spring. The longevity is moderate, silage on my skin also, although if you put a spritz more, the longevity gets better. All an all, a very nice one...

I loved this so much I bought the whole kit & kaboodle; the large spray, the body cream, the shower gel. By the time I finished the bottle I was so sick of it that I couldn't wait to be rid of it. Too much of a good thing. As far as rose scents go, this I'd heavier than Stella, but still manages to be light and not one of those elderly cloying scents. I never got ant of the patchouli, even down to the very last drop I only ever got rose. This is expensive and I did not love it to the last drop.

This review is for the EDT version. This is a smooth, jammy rose. Sometimes, perfume isn't about being edgy. Sometimes it's just straight up pretty. This is my first rose fragrance. I'm not usually a rose person. If you are, then maybe give this a test first since this isn't really a rose soliflore. Not sure if I'd repurchase this one. I haven't tried the EDP version yet and I would have to compare the two before deciding which one to purchase. For now, I'm loving it.

I love this perfume. Its such a true rose scent, but with an elegant woody touch to it on me. I get comments from men nearly every time I wear it. One of my favourites. I must add that I thought the silage wasn't great on this, until I sprayed more on one night, and my friend insisted I didn't need to. She commented that she could still smell it quite strongly (even though I couldn't) and that I smelt amazing. :)

I've re-tried this a couple of times in the last few super hot days in excess of 35 degrees Celsius and it is bee-utiful. Gone is that sugariness that I noticed in cooler temperatures and it has become a delicate rose, just what I had been hoping for. One for the middle of summer in an El Niño year.

This was much better than I expected, to be honest. The first half an hour brings a very fresh, dewy pink tea rose - the tea notes are quite obvious. Later some berry notes appear, while the drydown is a slightly less exciting, but still pleasant, musky affair.

I'm not too fond of the initial top notes but the dry down is sooo gentle, delicate, soft yet not warm. Not too fruity, not too flowery. Definitely going to wear this regularly this spring. Will alternate it with Sheer Veil and Versus.

If Kool-Aid came in "rose" this would be it. It's definitely rose, but there is sweetness and fruit underneath. I think it's adorable, but it might get on the nerves of someone who doesn't like a little sugar in their scent.

A very sweet fruity rose. I expected to find some sort of berry in the notes. To me this is a very young fragrance and I will be gifting my sample to someone who is more into that sort of sugared raspberry sweetness.

I layer it with the EDP to get a little more longevity, very inoffensive as a scent and sticks close to the skin. After getting both, I would say the EDT has more potency.

This is my go-to rose scent! It's light and fresh, perfect for everyday wear. The citrus notes really brighten it up, and the rose isn't overpowering at all.

Disappointing, every time. I put this on this morning for the first time in years, and I don't like it any better than I ever did. I bought it as a blind buy, full retail, when it first came out. So after shelling out all that money, I thought I ought to try harder to like it. I love rose scents and I liked the original Bvlgari (although my liking of it waned too), so I thought it would be wonderful. But it just isn't. Initially I thought it was because they brought it out in September or maybe even November, and I kept thinking "why would you bring out a light summery perfume for the winter?" But of course it isn't a light summery perfume; the drydown is full on winter, but not a particularly warm one, or exotic, or anything you're expecting. It's sort of winter doldrums, grey sky and all the snow turns to slush, if you can compare a disappointing scent to an ugly winter. So I waited for spring, then summer, and it's just depressing in summer. So I moved on. Lots of great stuff hit the market, and I sort of pushed this back. Today I'm pushing it even further back. Maybe someone will want to have a neighborhood garage sale and I can get $10 out of it. And sell it to someone I don't know well. I think it's the jasmine; there's just too much of it. And too much musk in the drydown and not enough patchouli. And for the other reviewers who think you have to be old to like this fragrance; being 72 hasn't helped me like this any better.

Very rosy-cheeked, light, uplifting and fresh on others--a spring rose on those lucky ladies (on one of my friends this smells like roses and sunshine). Unfortunately for me, this is one of those rose-based perfumes where my skin chemistry pulls the trick of transforming rose into rubbing alcohol/old nasty wine smell.

Light scent, not bad. Not great either, and certainly not that interesting. After a few minutes, a soft clay-like smell comes through that takes it in a different direction and reminds me a bit of that smell of Ann Taylor stores.

I own and love many BVL/Bvlgari fragrances. I also love rose fragrances but this is a pure rose fragrance better suited for bubble bath or the home. For a more complex and layered rose fragrance, try Roses De Chloe (Chloe.)

At first this fragrance starts heavy and a bit cloying.You can sense vanilla and rose,heavy jasmine and some sugary smell but i expected more rose in this one.The drydown however is beautiful and varm with rose and vanila.

Nothing new about this fragrance!!! Jus like any other rose fragrance!!!! To me it smells jus like Issey Miyake leu de florale!!!! Sure it's not in my list!!!!

A very feminine pastel rose fragrance. This is pretty and light, but doesn't last long on my skin. Sillage is fairly low.
