Lilaia

To me Lilaia is a bit of Le Jardin de Monsieur Li Hermès fresness (supposed from the mint) plus ZARA Zen Garden Greenness (the ivy note). Frankly, I do not think this juice worth its price as its short lived longevity.

This is light and refreshing, but not bracing or sneeze worthy. This is spring.

As usual, I am trying to guess what are the notes without looking into the official perfume pyramid. My verdict was a mint with light sweetness on the very expensive balsamic. I missed the mate note and I agree it is there. All notes indicated in the pyramid are present and in a very well blended manner. I should also mention that it is built on the very good base - no chemical impression at all. The base is even better than Chanel's. The perfume is very wearable and feels soft and expensive. No way offensive, but present. As many mentioned before me - longevity and projection could be better, especially given the price tag. I am a perfume obsessed and having around 400 bottles, therefore I personally prefer perfumes with modest longevity (to change it easily after few hours), but those who have high expectations about longevity - this one will not meet your expectations.

Elegant light floral scent but unfortunately doesn't last more than 2 hours on me like moxt of the Bulgari perfums

I got an original sample of this: very special 3 ml sample vials from Bvlgari! Just like the full bottles are very special. But the smell is faint... It's generally good, unique, reminds me something light green, I even like it. It is quite surely very expensive too as this line is so that would be a problem with such a faint scent. I layered it with Divain's 689 which is similar to Gucci Envy and with this slightly stronger scent, also green, they are nice together. Another layering was with "Cortina Hotel Cristallo January 28th 3pm" which is a weaker kind of scent and also fit well.

Gorgeous. But too light. Maybe a spring/summer one. Update Oct. 2020 gorgeous sunny spring day: no it’s just not worth The Tom Ford/Armani Prive/Dior Maison Prices. This reminds me of Estée Lauder’s AERIN line where their main line is better than their niche try! 🤷🏻✨

What a name and what a price on this perfume! I dont get it why its so expensive nowadays. The name draw my attention - it first appeared in Homer's Iliad, so you know it has some long neglected history.. Pronounced Lilaea. Never seen Mastic as a note in perfumes, its a resin from the mastic tree ONLY found in Chios island in Greece. We Greeks make gum and also ice cream from mastic and lemme tell you, it's divine! So I was sure Id love this perfume and I do. So to me this fragrance is 100% Greek, as I am. I am a fan of green scents and Mon Jasmin Noir L'Eau Exquise is another eternal fav of mine by Bvlgari. This one is lighter tho and much more mysterious and woody, I absolutely love the orange note in it, very subtle. I wish it was more intense as a fragrance. The bottle's color truly represents Lilaia's association with rivers and springs as she was a Greek Naiad Nymph, daughter of Cephissus, a Greek river. She was the nymph of the spring in the ancient Greek town of Lilaia in Phokis near Delphi. So Lilaia is also a Greek village. And just cuz I am a Greek teacher and a theological researcher, Lilaia is a name of controversy as it is the second word in the compound word Galilee which in Greek is spelled just like Lilaia with an "ai" - Γαλιλαία - indicating and validating the origin of the name Galilee being Greek - Ga in Doric Greek means earth and Lilaia means beautiful, so Galilee was the "beautiful land" and it really was - the Greek speaking town where Jesus was from (yes He was Greek too despite the common belief. Mr Rosenthal also admitted that He was not a Jew btw). So this perfume means a lot to me and it has the Greek DNA I was loooking for in a green woody scent.

Lilaia was a Naiad of Spring to the Greeks and Romans. A fresh water nymph and daughter of the river Kephisos. She also lends her name to this green fresh fragrance by Bvlgari. Lilaia is inspired by the green Peridot a gem of rebirth and change. So fittingly this is a beautiful aromatic slightly fruity perfume. The notes are Galbanum, Mastic absolute, mint, bitter orange and musk. The Mastic give the aromatic resinous galbanum a full round lushness of a green Mediterranean forest of pine and cedar like accords. This to me smells like the umbrella pines on the Palatine hill in Rome. There in the Farnese gardens at the top of the hill just before you enter the ruins of the imperial palaces there is an overlook perched over the Forum. At that spot, under those umbrella pines you are enveloped in the most wonderful woody green scent. This to me is where Lilaia now lives singing her song in harmonious lovely notes. Lilaia Bvlgari Wow, this is so nice. kind of citrus-green-woody cologne, unisex tho. The wood proerty is sheer in this one. Very classic and formal but the scent dry down to cozy woody musk. My favorite LeGemme by far.
