Noorah

I quite fancy this one! First of all, the bottle is a complete and utter stunner! I bought it for the bottle alone! It's a fabulous piece of art. And, surprisingly, I really like the perfume, which I didn't really expect to. The tobacco and the very date-like smell is really fabulous - delicious! It has a very Asian smell, which I love, and the vanilla and iris, mixed with the honey, patchouli and gingerbread, give such an alluring sweet powdery comfort. It's lovely and spicy, and lasts for ages. I could smell it all night in bed, and even still this morning! It's actually growing on me, even as I write! I'm liking it more and more. I wore it yesterday for the first time, and it was unexpectedly good, and I like it even more today. Hmmmm...... lovely.

I have a mini of Noorah. Diptyque Volutes (and those that smell like Volutes) is my favorite scent profile. I got my mini based on the notes, and it does indeed bear a resemblance to Volutes, but with more iris/alpha isomethyl ionones. I'd actually say this isn't unlike layering Bvlgari pour Femme with Volutes (although no violet note in Noorah, as there is in BPF). I own both, and will try layering them on one arm, and Noorah on the other arm to compare. Will edit and share my results soon.

This has been on my "to test" list forever. I was extremely lucky to snag an official mini/travel spray of Noorah on ebay for $15 with free shipping. It was advertised as 1/3 full, but it was actually 90% full. Oh lucky day! Fragrance is lovely. Deep, rich, powdery. It does remind me of my another favorite - Caron's Tabac Exquis, but with more iris and no chocolate.

loved the name its my name hhhh its long lasting but not very the sillage is disappointing the ingredients sound very cool and unique but the reality not that great at all. i didn't feel the Patchouli not even the Oak. don't waste your money

i got a decant of this 1 year ago, and i was let down extremely; it smelled like yet another bois d'iris-/bois d'argent-esque scent. fast forward 1 yr later, i have been wearing this for a few days in a row, and idk if the maceration process has brought out the complexity and the depth of this or if my nose has changed, but i get the hype now. opening is a sweet borderline boozy resin/amber, the most similar amber i can compare this to would be SoW plum in cognac. then you get an extremely lovely damp tobacco, not super smoky, not dirty, just authentic fresh damp tobacco along side an ever so slightly woodsy touch. there's a bitter powdery [slightly] green DNA going which is suspect is the combo of galbanum and iris. also, this is quite complex for what it is, it does develop differently on skin vs clothes (i get leather on skin for some reason!) obviously but it changes drastically throughout the wear.

Didn’t ‘ like ‘ the initial put-on but I’ll describe it: Seductive, Spicy, Dark, Come-Hitheresque made for someone name Jasmin when she’s going out in the evening with her husband. Forward almost Outlandish. Like splashing on a bit of bad taste with everything else being proper. Out of place. Settles into this incense-y cotton candy smell. Weird. It’s middle of Winter, wearing to bed ... ***UPDATE*** WOW. Wore this out and IT IS WHERE SHE BELONGS ! Fits right in in high end, Upscale settings OUT of the house. Not for going to bed ;D waY too exuberant to wear at home, especially for bedtime. *WARNING* Must dress appropriately incl hair and make up but most importantly, PERSONALITY. Do nOt let this perfume be more intriguing than you! !!

I normally dislike iris note but this one is so well blended that it became inoffensive. Beautiful blend of iris, tobacco, woody note, and sweet scents. Anything after tobacco became too blended for me to actually break them down into individual notes. Leans feminine on this one. I don’t seem to get more silage than intimate.

It is sooo vintage! Oh... whre is honey, where is vanilla.... :( I didnt get any sweetness here. It is bitter iris and dry tobaco. Very disapointed...

From across the empire and beyond the deserts of the Middle East came spices and the rarest of gems to tantalize and intoxicate the aristocrats and emperors of Rome. For thousands of years and to this day the markets of Rome such as the open air market at the Campo de’ Fiori are filled with wonderful smells. Here in the last presentation of Le Gemme, Bvlgari dazzles us with the exotic Noorah. Inspired by the Silk Road between China and Rome one particular stone made its way through the East to the capital on the Tiber. That stone was Turquoise. Noorah means the “exuberance of the heavens” and what a perfect name for this exotic sensual perfume. Galbanum, cardamom, and vanilla found in the markets of Rome are lush and interesting here in the opening. I pick up a rich sweet tobacco note along with the very intriguing note of candied dates from Arabia. The caravan from Petra has arrived! This one when it first hits the skin is a bit biting but settles down nicely into a warm embracing and very inviting scent. Nice iris-based scent with a soft touch of narghilè tobacco and something like dates in the opening. This smells very Eastern in the opening, but it soon fades to something very familiar and I cannot see what exactly it is. Maybe Hermes Hiris? Or a diluted version of Dior Homme Intense? It smells attractive, elegant, powdery, feminine with grace yet not in a frilly way. I really enjoy wearing this Noorah, but at the same time it strongly reminds me of many modern perfumes around with a powdery ambery or iris edge. Not too original yet pleasant.

Iris powderbomb, smells vintage. But still quality and expensive. Makeup bag. Quite dry in the sense that there's not much sweetness here and the cardamom and gingerbread get a little lost. Being a sweet spicy lover this is not really my genre so I'm not the expert here but, I feel like this smell has been done many many times. I'm sure the iris / powderbomb /vintage lovers will pick out all the nuances that my nose just slaps into the "not for me" category. **PM me to trade sampels! UK only **

I would love a bottle of this as it's such a unique and gorgeous one but very costly. I bought a 8ml mini spray from Oz Sales for $23 aud so it's a good way to buy it if you can't afford the lovely bottle. Still waiting for mine but I'm very keen to try it as I love spicy and tobacco notes.

This spectacular gem was discontinued. It was removed from Bvlgari official website since last year and this is a crime because it was maybe one of the best from the entire collection.

This was stunning on my wrist tonight. Can't wait to update with an actual review tomorrow post wearing. If you can call my typical babbling a review.

start with tobacco, vanilla and iris .. very asian style. the strong smell is iris.
