Riva Solare

Lovely. Do I detect a light smokiness? Maybe it's the osmanthus. This fragrance is so so light that I used up more than half of my sample and I have to press my nose to skin to smell it. It's gorgeous but not for that price. Shame. Would love to find something similar. Edit. I couldn't help it. I fell in love and bought a bottle. I wear it all the time. Then I got the magnifying patchouli. Together they're incredible. The bottle sprays bigger and better than a small sample so I can safely say it's much stronger than I originally thought.

This is a summer escape in a bottle that's suitable for all year round. The omanthus does not come off fruity apricot-like I typically find in perfumes with this note, yet it rather creates a milky/animalic feel I find so sensual on skin along with the musk. These are for the days I don't want anything too sweet--just clean & uplifting.

I got this as a gift and I think at first it's pleasant and maybe overlooked as boring but then I sprayed it today and I spelt it's complexity! A beautiful vanilla note is carried beautifully by the Calabrian bergamot! It almost reminds me of a l'eau of hypnotic poison in a way! Really beautiful scent

Beautiful fresh fragrance, sit well on the skin with a hint of sweetness like lemon drop or candied lemon peel. Great for summer & make you feel like putting on your sunglasses and go sip crisp white wine on a chic beach cafe in Italian Riviera

This is so goood in hot whether/summer time, osmanthus and orange blossom are a prominent scent and support by musk and bergamot. I like it quite a lot.

To me, this smells like a sunscreen that you'll wear only when going on vacation - it has that very nostalgic scent, but in a good and pleasant way. However, I genuinely cannot smell any citruses. It's quite fresh and perfect for summer and warm days. The performance is also left for desire. It's very intimate and lasts for two hours tops if you don't drown yourself in it. I believe it's a fairly unisex fragrance, but it is overpriced. 6/10. It's a pleasant fragrance, but the performance sucks.

I brought my sample of this along on vacation with me and I'm currently wearing it sitting poolside. It's really nice for this purpose! Would never purchase a full bottle at the price point, but I'll happily use up my sample during this trip. They don't share notes other than the musk in the base, but this reminds me a lot of BS Curious. Maybe a more grown up version. They don't necessarily smell the same but I get a similar vibe from it with the fresh, aquatic white florals and soft musk.

I’m really disappointed with this collection I mean the fragrance smells good but it doesn’t last more than an hour and the projection is not great for the amount of money 💰 you pay. I just love the old perfumes like organza, Amarige, eden, Lou Lou , eternity, escape that are not expensive and last hours and hours

Molecular citruses with white musk - super clean, crisp and fresh. Smells a bit like real expensive home scent with some Mediterranean theme. I think it’s a nice skin scent, but I don’t really like orange blossom note here. Follow me on IG: scent.guide

The opening is fresh and citrusy, drying down into powdery white florals. I also pick up tropical coconut notes. To my nose, this fragrance would be fitting for an older, but still active woman aged 50+.

Very fresh summery vibes from this, lasts a long time too. Maybe a little too citrusy for my personal taste though.

What the fruit?! This is so vastly overpriced, my husband and I are chuckling over it 🤣 Beside that, I don't necessarily think this is a bad fragrance, but it performs quite like a light eau de cologne, and becomes a very mild, safe skin scent within about 20 minutes. Osmanthus is a note that I'm somewhat unfamiliar with, although I've heard and read on numerous occasions that it smells like apricot. This fragrance doesn't have those tones, but the opening bears a striking resemblance to daffodils to my nose. It does actually contain some orange blossom, I do detect that, although it's more of a background player (I've recently worn an orange blossom fragrance that I enjoy much more, and so it happens to be on my mind), I really wish this had a heavier dose of it. Like...much heavier. In fact, I'll be as bold as to say the price tag demands it, this should be exponentially stronger for costing over 200 bucks. It does become musky, but it's not a bomb. The subtlety is lackluster, unless you desire a very intimate fragrance (there are still more affordable, better options). This simply isn't memorable, but I'll wear my sample if I need a polite option (I have about $4 worth of fragrance on right now, I used nearly half of my tester to do this review).

Opened up bergamot and very quickly replaced by osmanthus and orange blossom. Followed quickly by a powdery musk. Overall it’s okay. The osmanthus was slightly bitter and along the line of LV’s Étoile Filante and Acqua di Parma Osmanthus.

Very let down by this & the other Allegras I've tried. This one opens in a sparkly burst of citrusy floral that invokes a sunny Mediterranean vacay. However, dry down quickly becomes a skin scent w/ no trace of the opening left. It felt like a broken promise. Like getting excited about a deceptively enticing preview only to find yourself sitting thru 2 hrs of a really boring film that has very little to do w/ the preview at all. After reading about how we're meant to "magnify" these Allegras w/ "five exclusive Magnifying Essences to bring your fragrance experience to the next level," I tried it. There was no next level. Each of these scents & the "magnifiers" were all ground level. And there was no elevator. There weren't even stairs. Because here's the thing: mixing multiple lackluster scents isn't the answer. The answer is to create a scent that a customer is willing to shell out hundreds of dollars for without having to drop hundreds more on an additional scent to make the first costly scent worth the expense. M'kay? 💸💸💸

The initial spray isn't bad, but after about 15 minutes, it smells like Gypsy Water without the vanilla. I don't dislike this one as much as I do Gypsy Water, but still not anything I'd want in my collection. Very intimate projection, and the longevity is lacking. This is supposed to envoke the Italian Riviera experience; there are plenty of other fragrances on the market that do a much better job at doing so. It's hard to believe that they are expecting people to drop $230 on this, don't waste your money.

Every perfume in this line is ridiculous. They aren't worth any penny of them. I can't believe they're selling unfinished work at these prices. It is just smelling like a sunscreen. To make a perfect scent with layerings? Not to make money for yourself, Bvlgari? They are worse than any Le Gemme for women. cannot compare with them. even Le Gemme for men's structures are simple, but they use high-quality ingredients with amazing bottles.

I got a brief burst of citrus, and then nothing. It smelled a bit like vegetable oil with a hint of citrus after the first few minutes. Get a sample and try it out on your skin before committing to a bottle 😕

If you like sweet scents, this isn't for you. I found it a bit acrid.

I got a free sample from FB like last summer or so. I try it out on occasion. Decided it’s not for me finally. It has always been okay, but something about it kept me from picking up a bottle. Realized what it was. Something about the white florals, maybe the musk, is nauseating. Like sour milk. I was very surprised to find out there’s no coconut in this. Also very surprised that D&G TOO 2 was voted most similar to. I find them completely different. TOO 2 is very much a powdery violet scent. I’ve never tried Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, but just from rumors of how it smells & the notes, I imagine that would smell closer than the D&G. I disagree that this smells anything like Kilian’s Good Girl Gone Bad or Love Don’t Be Shy. GGGB is a very sexy, femme fatale floral fragrance. LDBS is yummy sweetness. Riva Solare is tropical. Lots of sunscreen comments, I can see that.

Brings to mind Good Girl Gone Bad by Kilian. Different but there’s a connection there, the osmanthus? Anyways, this scent is nice, but not for the price tag. It dries down smelling like flower milk to me. Someone mentioned smelling a daisy or something and I understand that. Definitely milky and floral. The opening with the citrus... no idea why but it’s kinda pickle juice-y... 🫣 This scent is weirdly addictive. I would wear a bottle if it was gifted to me.

Bvlgari Riva Solare: Aquired this as part of a sample promotion. Wearing this today. Not at all impressed. A very one dimensional fragrance. Detect nothing but dry dirty musk. No citrus or aquatic notes; nothing screaming Mediterranean here. Definitely not worth over $200. The only thing I like is the bottle. -/10

This perfume dries down smelling like a cup of cold, iced green tea. It's very refreshing, not my usual scent profile, but will come in handy on hot summer days. Even though I have some similar fragrances, this one is straight-up fresh, with no sweet notes in it like some of the ones from the Xerjoff JTC collection (which is my favorite collection for some fresh scents). It also reminds me of a fragrance from Aqua di Parma but I can't remember the name - it definitely has that Italian niche perfume vibe to it.

I get a burst of bergamot, and other sweet citrus notes, mandarin, maybe petitgrain? a mild white floral note, and soapy musk. Very simple, very similar to other citrus scents, like a mildly floral 4711. This brand is so overpriced. I love their rose essentielle which was discontinued a long time ago, but the quality and scent was amazing for a decent price (many years ago you could find it for 30 bucks) nowadays Bvlgari comes up with half done scents and asking >$200 it is ridiculous at this point.

I was at the duty-free shop in the Lisbon airport. I tried both Bulgari's Chill & Sole and Riva Solare on my arms. I loved Chill & Sole and didn't like Riva Solare at all. In fact, when I bought Chill & Sole I didn't even want to bother with a sample of Riva Solare. Then 30 minutes later, I'm sitting at my gate and I smell the Riva Solare again and I LOVED it. I wanted to go back and get a sample, but it was too late.

Bvlgari’s ad copy talks about sparkling citrus and the excitement of boat ride on the Mediterranean. The bergamot on top has some nice sunny herbal lime sweetness–but it quickly ebbs to orange flower and watery musk on the skin, and completely sails away in half an hour. For that price I was expecting a bottle of Asti and a day trip on a yacht, and instead I got a lemon lolly and a Sea-Doo run around the nearest buoy.

I got a free sample of this-absolutely gorgeous,, it works very well with my skin. Immediately thought "full bottle worthy" on the first spray. Smells like a summery vacation scent. My only beef is it doesn't last as long as i would like it too, and I would have been PO'd if I had spent big money on this rather than a free sample. Maybe if you spray really heavy it would last a good while. So pretty though!

Currently sampling, expected more from JBC seeing what he has done for LV however, (yes i know diff brands have diff budgets but come on...) its a very basic fragrance. Im getting a vintage musk vibe in the dry down, the opening is nice. The bottle is beautiful, i dont think this is a memorable scent.

I received a sample and to me this smells like a female church scent to me. Not a bad thing but not what I was expecting neither. And you definitely can find something similar for a lot less.

D&G 2??? Are you kidding me This is a neroli musk perfume, not a drop of sweetness, just a fresh musky perfume. If you have TF Neroli Portofino you don't really need this.

Very, very cute flacons. They look like hard candy wrappers, like Werther's Caramel or Jolly Rancher's. Appetizing! I just wanted to say that.

Typical fleur d’oranger scent... not that worthy for that much price while there are some cheaper options
