Rose Essentielle

BVLGARI ROSE ESSENTIELLE was an impulse buy. I didn't really invest to much thought or anything else into it. I never even thought about it after the fact. Until .. I Ran out of the Juice. I was really pissed.I didn't even realize that it quickly became my go to perfüme. One of my favourites. BVLGARI ROSE ESSENTIELLE, You sneaked into my heart and made me unconsciously fall in love with you. I'm not the only one who missed the lovely comforting scent either. My husband did. He never noticed anything. If he does he doesn't mention it. After the Repurchase of my BVLGARI ROSE ESSENTIELLE fix. One day he said, You smell so good. I really missed that smell. I looked at him perplexed and surprised and said my perfüme?. He said, that stuff, is sexy as hell. I love it on you. He told me, Even his best friend always says, how nice you always smell after you walk by or leave the room. Man, your wife smells good. But, I can say it really does smell nice. Unfortunately, I didn't even realize how nice it was until I ran out.I really missed, that first opening spray of soft but deep juicy rose with that little zip of blackberry.I typically don't care to smell "fruity". The blackberry isn't loud or obvious. But,it adds this character and Elegance to it. Followed by an almost regal rose with a strong support of Mimosa. It stays pretty true to the first spray almost all the way through. It's a mature,elegant Rose. It's also clean smelling.(by clean,I don't mean soapy) It definitely exudes class. No doubt. The best way I can describe how this perfüme smells is, Ever feel a Rose petal? Soft, Rich, Velvety & Moist? ROSE ESSENTIELLE smells just like a Rose Petal Feels. If that makes any sense. Silage is moderate, even when I can't quite smell it anymore. Others can. Longevity is decent. I get about -five or six hours. But, I like my scents a bit stronger. {I'm notorious for reapplying a little more often than most.} This is one of those underrated perfümes for sure. It's a very classy,elegant rose with a strong mimosa background with just a bit touches of blackberry and others to keep it interesting and a bit different. But, without making it wierd. Really Really nice. *Like the one poster jmalone pointed out. Like her, I tire easily of scents. This one for some reason. I don't.

This is absolutely the best rose fragrance out there, hands down. I have a difficult relationship with rose. But this fragrance is my idea of the PERFECT rose scent, and I would smell like this all day, every day, easy. And this is someone who gets tired of fragrances verrrry quickly, and I find fault with a fragrance 99.9% of the time. So this is a rave review. I am not unsure about purchasing this at all, which is a new thing for me. There is the lovely powdery, clean rose-hip like nuance, as well as the lush, dewy, sweet mouth watering aspect of rose. It doesn't smell horribly synthetic, it's fresh and elegant at the same time, where I often find fragrances are one or the other. There are very few that manage to be clean and refreshing, while also being potent and unique enough to make you feel beautiful and well dressed. It manages to be youthful and light while also being quite sexy and grown up. Oh so feminine, sophisticated and romantic. Also, I usually find Bvlgari sadly lacking on the sillage side, but the sillage is absolutely perfect on this one. I used only a spritz on my wrist and it wafted airily around me all day in a lovely soft pink cloud of deliciousness. I really don't get the patchouli. I get mainly rose (the 2 aspects I described earlier), the fruity notes, and the elegant woods. The most prominent notes I think are perhaps the fruit notes actually. The blackberry lingers on and on. And in the beginning it is a little tart and tangy, blended with the mimose and rose. I don't understand how anyone could complain either about the sillage or longevity, because both are probably the best out of all the Bvlgari fragrances. Bvlgari tend to do very quiet, subtle fragrances, and this is the one that projects the most. It smells divine in the shower 8+ hours after application when the water hits it, and I can still detect it afterwards. Lingers on clothing for days afterwards. Once you start wearing it, it truly becomes a signature because you detect hints of the base notes everywhere due to its longevity, it sorts of seeps on to everything. I am eagerly awaiting my nice big 3.4 oz bottle! LOVE.

I could now say this is my signature perfume (until I find a better one, that is. Been searching for more fragrances too - since I suddenly had the urge to collect perfumes now!). Anyway, my nose is not detecting complex notes like some people here. So here's just a simple description for this lovely scent: LIGHT, FRESH, POWDERY ROSES. I do not get why some say this smells like their grandma. Does this mean your grandma smell sexy/powdery/flowery? I recently got a Coco Mademoiselle and I see a similarity. But I love the Rose Essentielle more. The latter takes me back to those salmon-colored roses that my boyfriend first gave me when we're still just dating, way back in 2010. Yeah, that's a long time - but when I smelled this, it hit me with nostalgia. The smell of roses is very natural! When I first sprayed this, I detected a hint of sharp fruity smell (probably the blackberry that some are saying?) But other than that, I could just smell the roses. Roses, roses, roses - which is a GREAT thing (for me). The drydown is superb too. Roses with another flower I could not decipher (maybe the jasmine?) Anyway, this is a long-lasting scent. It did not last long on my wrists since they're really dry (blame the weather). But the one I sprayed on my chest is still there after 19 hours!!! The sillage is not that good though :( :( So if you have suggestions on similar fragrance as Rose Essentielle with better sillage, let me know please. :)

First impressions of Bvlgari rose essential ..edp. Oooooh nice ! Very similar to pour femme but juicy roses are in background. (I have read it was a limited edition but don’t know how long it was made for) I’ve only just recently discovered Bvlgari perfumes and they are bloody lovely! Bright , boozy / HONEY SWEET rose , lots of violets, sadly not as long lasting as pour femme.. honeyed sweet is my cuppa tea / glass of wine lol,Rose Essentiale is sort of tangy sweetend yummyness. Original pour femme I grew to love first, so this version is lovely to me too. The rose is sugary and I wonder if berry notes create that, there is a stunning crispness, then after a few mins it becomes a touch woody, never loosing the violets and the blackberry gives a tiny touch of sharpness against the soft musk and powder, warm and sweet.... BRE is : Very pretty and feminine ! Able to be warn at work or on a night out ! Especially warm months. More violets than rosey, loveheart sweets with violets and rose ! Nothing like potpourri yet still a teeny tiny bit vintage ! Fruity tea rose violets , mimosa , and plush yet still innocent like a watercolour version of pour femme!... Love this so far.... yep I’m falling for this and big sister pour femme so much ! smiley face :) 8/10 2010 bottle.

I absolutely appreciate this scent , the heart of it is a total bouquet rose , violet and jasmine , with a slight fruity dry down of blackberry, and a slight patchouli liftoff . What amazes me is how a friend or a stranger can be wearing the same scent and I totally get different notes and the final take is not one I can say what you're wearing . I'm not shy to ask , you smell so good , sometimes I'm shocked that I have it also , but on me ,it smells like " my fridge needs to be cleaned out " , you know that , what can that be as you open the door. This on me is pretty much a straight up Floral , with a lasting Rose and a slight fruity musky afterthought . The predominate scent of rose lasts 4 ~ 6 hours where others can smell it , after that I'm the only one that can smell it , which is fine with me . I've also noticed that I can smell one time roses , the next more violets or patchouli , regardless of that fact , I think it has to do with the change of our body chemistry . Those are the scents I live for , although I tend to stay away from those scents on days I'm less than stellar in mood and chemistry , I can tell my scent mood must be a match or I get an overwhelming desire to go home and " look in my fridge " ~ /=^ } ~

i owned Rose EDP when it first came out about 10 years old. I liked it but felt it was a bit mature. What ruined it was a comment made by a guy who dated me at that time. He told me his mother used it. I hadnot seen him long time ago. but his comment stayed with me and i didnot reach for the bottle again until a month or so ago. Upon first application (yes the bottle hasnt turned after about 10 years!), I found it wonderful! more wonderful than i remember. It is because i like strong rose scent with a twist (preferrably throwing in a green note like here). The longevity is impressive and the sillage is massive! I brought a new bottle and in comparison, found than the fragrance in my old bottle (i) has turned yellowish; (ii) much stronger in rose and in the sour green note; (iii) pretty much goes straight to middle note. the new bottle however, is 'weaker' at first in comparison because of its pronounced top note. It starts off with sweet rose with a hint of blackberry at the first 30 minutes gradually giving way to my beloved strong greeny rose. It reaches its high at around 3 hours mark. Longevity and sillage is impressive! This is classic. ps. the bottle shown in this page is EDT not EDP.

I love it. The perfect rose fragrance. In the cathegory of fresh, true rose scents it can rival The Merchant of Venice Rosa Moceniga in beauty. I still can't decide which one is my number 1 rose scent. It is a dewy pink rose. Rose, rose, rose. I suspect the Splendida Rosa Rosa is similar if not identical. I regret I did not buy it, cause it is no longer in Sephora. But I was satisfied with this creation and it is still half-full. If I contemplate, the violet and blackberry facets are present. They add a moody freshness to the roses used here. Perfect for spring and summer with a good presence and lasting power. I also noted that it works in autumn. I do feel musk in the base, but I perceive the scent as a constant rose, as if I have my nose in the flower, especially in my Olivia Rose Austin - she smells like Rose Essentielle. After 5 hours it hits the drydown and it is beautiful - clean and sensual with faint traces of roses. I added 3 sprays for my evening and I dare say it changed character into more sultry with musk. I still feel it in the morning. For a floral it has very good lasting power.

It's a shame they don't make this one anymore.. It used to be one of my favorite rose scents. It's quite a sweet, pretty potent (As I remember it) and also a bit powdery fragrance. The notes I got was obviously the rose, but also quite a bit of the violet, mimosa and patchouli in the dry down. The blackberry is quite potent when you first spray the fragrance but disappear somewhat quickly on me. This is one of those fragrances the I think work as an everyday fragrance almost all year round, despite maybe in the middle of winter. Very versatile indeed. As I remember it it was decently long lasting as well and had good projection. A fun anecdote about this fragrance: One day when I was walking around a super market I noticed that a woman was following me around. It was borderline creepy, and I guess she noticed because she came up to me, and told me she was sorry about following me around, but she just wanted to know what fragrance I was wearing because she liked it so much. I wrote the name down on a piece of paper for her, and I hoped she got her hands on a bottle for herself. =)

I really wanted to take my time with this fragrance before posting a review.... So...a year later...here I am! Bvlgari Rose Essentialle is sugary and powdery but still has a nice depth to...I'm assuming thanks to the wood, sandalwood, and patchouli. Although it's delicate and soft it's still sure to make the woman who wears it memorable. On me it lasts over 8 hours. Actually...I can still sense the few sprays I gave myself yesterday morning, today. And it follows a similar formula as the pour femme but is a bit more juicy/tonicky(I know thats not a word) but reminds of what you might get if you mix rose, gin, berries, and club soda. Another interesting note, is that it's trans-seasonal and you may... like me... have a very different experience from one season to the next. During the colder months, I sense more powder and softness and during the warmer months, I get more of a vibrant, sugary, sparkling rose. I think in general Bvlgari is such an underrated fragrance brand and at the price point for BRE...it doesn't get much better than this.

I have been wanting this perfume for the longest time and finally bought a bottle of this. All I can say is that I love it and it smells especially beautiful in the cold winter weather. Bvlgari Rose Essentielle is a very feminine and pretty fragrance. The main note in this is as the name suggests, beautiful crisp roses, which stays dominant throughout. A tiny hint of fruitiness and a tiny hint of other mixtures of soft florals. Somehow To me I also smell sweet litchi, which I love but this note is not listed in this fragrance. Very soft musk and woodsy notes that stay in the background, which brings the fragrance warmth and comfort. This fragrance is very sweet but still elegant and classy. When I get whiffs throughout the day it also reminds me of a luxurious rose soapy scent. Makes me feel very clean. Its so lovely and lasts for so long ! I own the EDP version and the longevity is great and above what I expected as most floral/rose fragrances disappear very fast on me. Overall such a lovely fragrance in a beautiful classic bottle.

I've been wearing this a lot recently now that it's Spring in my part of the world. It's a good everyday scent for this time of year - rosy floral, classy but not too sweet, with an underlay of sandalwood and musk. After it dries down the latter really comes through and stops it from being a childish scent. Most of all it reminds me of luxury rose soap when I wear it, and this is both a plus and minus. Positive because it's light and seems to go with anything, and can instantly brighten up my mood. I feel well-dressed and put-together when I'm out and about with this fragrance - 'Rose Essentielle' is the right name for it. The minus is because the 'soapiness', for want of a better word, makes me feel there's something generic about this scent (despite it being a Bvlgari perfume, and quite pleasant) - so I'll probably want to try other rose perfumes when this runs out. I absolutely adore Mon Jasmin Noir, though, so I'll still have a Bvlgari bottle in my collection :)

This is one I return to often, because it is simple, elegant, and soft. I have a strong reaction to the rose notes in this. Something about it reminds me of classic lipsticks (if I recall, Lancome's tubes had a light rose scent) and using rosewater as a beauty treatment. It always lifts my mood without resorting to a bright citrus or berry-heavy scent. That reaction makes it both very feminine and deeply soothing, since it evokes a mood of taking time to pamper oneself at a dressing table. It feels like warm spring or summer weather, with open windows and a cloudless sky. It is quiet joy. There's both sophistication and ease to it that is hard to find in rose scents. If this scent was a person, she'd have on a white linen sun dress and an exquisitely crafted straw hat with a flounce bow. Her loose, low ponytail would offset but precisely applied natural makeup on glowing skin. On her wrist, she wears a delicate, fine bracelet that is a sentimental family heirloom.

What a gorgeous perfume this is! It's very long lasting and fairly moderate in its projection so it really is one for a subtle, sophisticated, elegant and romantic lady. Unsurprisingly, the first thing that springs to mind is roses. They're sweet but not cloying. The fruity effect of some of the notes balances well and blends well with the roses in the opening and the heart notes of the perfume. The musk doesn't really show itself but, I suspect, like the wood, it plays a part in giving the perfume its longevity. It's always soft and gentle once you've gone past those first opening twenty minutes or so. I don't think there's a particular time of day or night or season for Rose Essentielle. I think it works beautifully at any time of year. It really is a superb creation. I think of Rose Essentielle as being the sister of Bvlgari Pour Femme and Voile De Jasmin. You wouldn't want to choose between them if you didn't have to! Gorgeous!

(review from a man, teste on my girlfriend) Absolutely fantastic rose perfume. I am a man, but I would like to smell all day long. In the top notes, besides the rose, I can smell a bit of berry fruits. The mid notes contains more, and stronger rose scents with some jasmin and mimosa. In the first 2-3 hours absolutely wonderful fragrance, but after that, become very synthetic, and unfortunately all the natural feeling dissapear... But the base with the patchouli, sandal and the guajac is pleasent too. Apart from the synthetic notes, this is a very well composed romance fragrance. - Spring/summer/fall scent better works on daytime - Sillage ang longevity are better than average, longevity arond 6 hours - Safe blind buy Scent (open, top-mid): 9/10 (x2) Scent (drydown, base): 8/10 (x2) Sillage: 6/10 Longevity: 6/10 Uniqueness: 7/10 Versatility: 8/10 Total: 7.625/10

This starts out as a perfect candied rose, and I am not a fan of sweet scents. The fruity but tart blackberry is the perfect complement to the dusky rose that marks the opening of this addictive fragrance. Over the course of about an hour, it warms into the patchouli and woody notes which ground the heady, fruity/floral start into a delightfully mellow concoction. It's decidedly feminine in a very sophisticated way, yet not overly mature or dirty. It becomes a skin scent after a few hours, but I spray it before bed and can still smell the musky, woody sweetness in the morning. Rose Essentielle is almost a misnomer. Yes, it starts as a sweet rose, but morphs into something completely different. I wonder if you sprayed and never knew the name if you would even identify rose as the featured note? I'm addicted to this chameleon scent. Intriguing and excellent.

This beauty was all set to be my signature fragrance for life when I first got her 10 years ago. I started off with a travel size then saved up for a bottle. Only had enough money to buy a second one after it was discontinued and I'm so sad. I have a quarter of the full sized bottle and I can't bring myself to ever spray it. This is truly the most perfect beautiful rose perfume ever created. Effervescent, calming, refined. The rose sparkles, the blackberries are tart but interesting, the violet is so polished and elegant. The dry down is the most beautiful soft wood skin scent with a slight creaminess from the sandalwood. Absolute masterpiece and nothing, not even other rose perfumes from the same brand match it. Rose Goldea is too powdery and the rose is watery. Here it's neither watery nor jammy, just the perfect in between.

Roses, Roses, Roses,,, fresh, feminine and lovely! I have been complemented on this fragrance long after I have gone nose numb to it! I love this for a spring/summer fragrance, because thats when the rose blooms are at their peak. I even spray this on my pillow cases and my bed is a luxurious place for me ro relax and dream! The roaes in this are slightly sweet from the berries. The deeper aspects of musk, sandalwood, guiac wood, and patchouli anchor the roses so that they dont drift away, without leaving you with a heavy base. The deeper notes attach themselves to the roses and allow you to enjoy them throughout the duration of the fragrance, but never overpower them. Definately one of my all time favorites!!!! I will never be without this! I also combine this with Parisienne by YSL for an added Rose/ Sandalwood blast!!

Bvlgari's Rose Essentielle has been adopted into my perfume collection today after being sent by lovely fragrantica member Scarbo who is such a sweetheart! she didn't only send this, but also Jean Paul Gualtier's Classique EDP and a few other samples. Rose Essentielle is a big love for me! This is a very classy and sophisticated perfume. This fragrance is like a breath of fresh air. Very sheer and beautiful. This perfume smells like you have fallen into a bed of rose petals. slightly fruity, woody, powdery, and floral. I enjoy that one note doesn't dominate the others. This fragrance makes me think of a lady who is angelic and innocent. Romantic, charming, crisp, and light. Anyone who enjoys soft scents that still has enough presence to get noticed should definitely try this scent. x

A beautifully blended rose with quite a lot of violet and blackberry. Mimosa hums in the background. The woods are soft and light. So is the musk, soft pillow like powderiness. This is quite signature worthy. Such a shame it was discontinued. I bought a decant on fragrancenet. I like Bvlgari fragrances quite a lot and this is no exception. Very pretty, very feminine, very elegant. Would be an excellent rose fragrance for a wedding. Why do they discontinue gems like this? Every co does now to make more vanilla sugar cookie bombs. Let your audience mature and grow into beauties like this instead of giving up on them. Edit: personally I think a yellow floral accord should be added. I distinctly smell mimosa. Not a big line of yellow a small one, this is mainly a rose bouquet.

I had it, I used it, I loved it, I miss it. I can now only find it for like $500 a bottle. Why did they discontinue this scent, it was so good. Edit: I have found it!! I purchased a bottle on eBay for way more money than I care to admit, but I am so happy to have it back in my life. At first, I was worried the scent had started to turn, as the first few times I used it, there was that acrid accord (but the dry down was perfect). That being said, now it smells just like I remember. Maybe there was some product in the tubing that made those first few sprays unpleasant, but this is one of the best scents I've ever owned. I hope someday it is put back into production. Because I'd hate to spend probably more money than what I spent on this bottle I have now, when I use it up.

I'm definitely going to have to change my opinions of rose scents. I've always had a thing against rose perfumes because they always smell synthetic and cheap. I just got given this perfume as a gift and I was expecting the worst with all the people hating on it here... Wow. Real intense, really deep rose that hits hard, lasts amazing a leaves a trail a mile long. After 6 hours its still going strong and not sickeningly artificial as some rose scents. I'm calling this one a keeper, because sometimes you dont want to smell unusual, or exciting or heavy spice. Sometime you just want a simple flower no one is offended by that doesn't challenge the olfactory senses. On a side not, my bottle of EDP looks way different to this one. I think the pictures wrong

Oh, what a lovely perfume For a few years I went off rose scents, even gave away my Bvlgari Pour Femme EDP to a friend Well, yesterday I was shopping for something else and spied this bottle (the 25ml jewel shaped version), tried it and bought it I think what caught my attention was the cooler, greener rose It smells like a freshly opened rose that has not quite reached the point of sweet juiciness I usually associate with rose perfumes It is long lasting too Last night I was still testing it at home and by mistake sprayed by nightgown instead of my hand About 20 hours later I can still smell the rose scent although this is a deeper, heavier rose I am so happy because hot weather can make rose scents too heady but this one feels fine to me

I want to use words to call myself names, but I can't since this is a professional forum I must remain professional. This is one of my sister's favorite fragrance. I always buy it for her; I also have one for myself. It has been sitting on a shelf for months and I never bother to use it until today. My goodness, this perfume is sensual, sweet and extremely feminine (of course people of other gender can wear it also. I sprayed in on my robe and I have not been able to stop smelling the robe. This fragrance can be donated to a young daughter/son as a gift it is that good. It is a safe fragrance for the workplace. I heard it has been discontinued. Stock up guys onthersie few months from now Ebay and Amazon will triple the price.

This has ended my search for a satisfying rose perfume. It starts almost harsh, but within minutes becomes a lush, deep red rose with stem and leaves. Velvety and rich. Gradually there are soft aquatic touches- just enough to give the rose some dew. About an hour or so on, it becomes a softer, sweeter, pinker rose. More dewy and light, slightly powdery from the mimosa. A fresher rose. I dont get any of the base notes listed, there may be a hint of fresh musk somehwere in the drydown. The shifting from a heavier velvety rose to a sweeter dewy rose really is amazing. It makes this scent so gratifying, you get the best of both roses. Very long lasting. If worn to bed the scent lingers until morning..

I've owned this fragrance for a while but it must be the advent of spring that untapped my nose to its loveliness. First time I've smelled it I thought this was rose, rose, hellorose and rose but in reality it also has a bundle of the creamy violets, smiley mimosa and cushy sandalwood Sophia Grojsman uses in Femme and Paris and a pulpy blackberry to bring out the natural raspberry nuance some roses have. The rose itself is pastel pink , eiderdown soft and a little sauced, more graceful than foxy, a cloudless, balletic, pretty June rose. To me this falls on the category of what the french call "doudou perfumes" for the times I need to use fragrance as a baby blanket to nurse on me dotingly.

I have become quite obsessed with this perfume. It is divine. I found it last year when it had already been long discontinued, but you can still find good deals online if you watch and wait. It is so so so feminine and gorgeous. It just smells like a beautiful woman. I often think if I had to pick one fragrance, this would be it, even though I've loved many other perfumes for much longer. This one is just so versatile. It's perfectly beautiful in the most balanced and graceful way. It's classy but it can also be sexy. It just smells like beauty. I've been putting it on at the gym too, because it has a watery fresh quality that means my nose never gets tired of it. Glorious creation!

I blind-bought this along with a couple other perfumes. I gotta say I didn't expect this to be my favorite of the bunch. Its a simple simple delicate perfume that is so versatile that I can imagine myself wearing this literally anywhere I go. I can use this to the meeting and I can wear this to a night out. Its a powdery floral scent. The rose is so delicate and not generic at all. If you love floral you'd love this. If you love powdery and musky you'd love this. Even if you're not a fan of either, just give this one a sniff on your wrist before you turn your back on this one. It has a pretty good silage, pretty noticeable without being too loud. Totally worth it <3

So romantic and a man-magnet. This was the first gift I received from my now husband, years ago. It always drove him mad. I had worn a sample of it one night, and it drove him so crazy he bought me the gift set for my birthday. I have been using this for special occassions since then. A little goes a long way. I have two bottles now, the one he first bought me with probably 20 uses left, and a new bottle that I use more regularly. Oh, the older one now has a vintage quality to it, intoxicating, heavy, even slightly sour, but in a good way. I will never get rid of that bottle. This fragrance has so many memories, it is almost heartbreaking! The story of my love.

Just smelled this discontinued beauty for the first time and instantly liked it. It is a very fresh, natural, feminine, gorgeous rose. It's dewy and delicate and genuinely feels like I'm sticking my nose in a bouquet of the most luscious and gentle roses with a few drops of rain on them. The kind of scent I'd put on when I want to smell beautiful and put together without thinking about it or trying too hard. What a delightful fragrance! I'm banging my head against the wall because I keep falling in love with discontinued gems. It a little bit reminds me of Guerlain Rose Cherie, but that one seems to have a more prominent violet.

Rose Essentielle is my sister's new signature. I ordered one bottle for her birthday and she adores my gift. I could smell it well by visiting her and spent all day long with her around, realizing how much I would have done well to order two bottles. I own Bvlgari Rose Goldea, which gratifies me beyond all measure, however between the two is a good fight. Rose Essentielle opens up naturally and gives me a freshly cut rose from its stalk, holding the last drops of dew inside. It's easy to abandon my senses to its scent and the moist silky petals, not yet completely hatched, taking care of it. Naturalistic nobel-prize.

I was in a search for a perfect rose perfume, so bought it on a blind buy. Put a little spritz on my arm and I find it strong in the beginning. And because of the great reviews, I had high hopes that it won't fail me (of course it's Bvlgari!). Gave it a chance and took a little patience. Then after about 20-30 minutes.. OH, WOW! the middle notes are HEAVEN, that I dont want it to disappear. Drydown is AMAZING. Longevity, approx 7-8 hrs on me. Very clean, feminine and truly, an elegant scent. I can imagine a sophisticated woman with bunch of confidence wearing this.

On a side note: These views are from the perspective of a 28 year old guy.. I just ventured out to buy something as a gift for someone and I, luckily stumbled upon this. This is a beautiful rose. This is very elegant, sophisticated yet sexy--in a refined way--to the nose. I would say 22 and up. As far as the projection and longevity goes, this is pretty good. NOTE: I just can't get the comparison of Coco Edt out of my head with this one, and girls this is half of its price. If anyone is looking for an alternative to Coco Edt by Chanel they should be looking here.

I used this perfume again after almost 7 months. And it instantly lifted my spirits like it always does. It is rich, thick, creamy, spicy rose. If you like powdery sweet rose, this might not be for you. This is waxy, strong and heavy rose. And as reviewed by many, has unbelievable longevity and low silage. You get this perfect whiffs through the day of this perfume... Even angel and euphoria does not last on me beyond 3 hours but this stays for 8 hours or more. And that is just one spray on each side of neck. The best quality rose perfume I seen so far.

This is by far the most elegant and intoxicating perfume I have ever smelt. Trully intoxicating. It is very very feminine, rosey, powdery (that's the violet coming through) and the blackberry note gives it a sangria wine vibe in a way. Not that it smells like sangria, but it has a nectar like quality that makes me think of drinking sangria. It is elegant and sensuous... Like a glass of fine wine... It this kind of sexy. I have not been able to find anything remotely close to this intoxicating smell. What a crime to have discontinued this. A crime.

I had different expectations from this parfum. The blackcurrant is too overpowering. On me,i don't get any rose. The sandalwood and violet drydown is pleasant which i get to 8 hours later. I've given my 100 ml a few trys and the only time i enjoyed it from start to finish is when i layered it with my Satsuma body wash and body butter. The citrus in those seemed to cut out the cough syrup i get from the blackberry note on my skin. Pm me if you would like to swap. I have the original box with my parfume which is slightly used.

I have many rose fragrances in my collection and this is without a doubt one of the best. Effortlessly elegant yet incredibly easy to wear for any occasion. The perfect balance of rose and the supporting floral, berry and woody notes so that the rose is enhanced but never overwhelmed or diminished. I'm SO thankful I was able to snag a partial bottle of this shortly after it was discontinued as it is an absolute gem of a fragrance and I still can't believe that Bvlgari discontinued it and replaced it with inferior offerings.

I come back to this scent over and over, call it my signature. On me it's a soft, sweet, rose-based fruited floral underpinned with blankety warmth. It's sweet but not sticky, youthful but not girlish. I've grown roses and the scent reminds me of Tropicana hybrid teas. It has just enough...just enough musk, just enough jasmine, and so on. I'm drawn to it's balance. My nose doesn't pick up much blackberry but something more like mango. At the end of the day I still carry warm, sweet, woody notes on my skin. Ahhhh.

Bvlgari's best Rose scent, but they removed it and replaced it with Bvlgari Rose Rose - a step backwards, what a pity. This is an extremely elegant, feminine scent, like the image of royal Princesses. The Rose is a beautiful blush pink, not too sweet and has impressive longevity on my skin. This is much better than Rose Goldea or Rose Rose that Bvlgari later released. Bvlgari, please bring this fragrance back, this is definitely one of the best Rose perfumes, why would you leave it out? Rating: 9/10, so beautiful

Delicate pink powdery roses...I am really loving this...the lightest pink petals with morning dewdrops sparkling in the morning sun. Do I dare say I love this more than femme? Maybe... Really all of the notes blend so seamlessly it was an instant love. I got a huge bottle and it is so beautiful...light pink just like the scent. Gorgeous feminine scent all pink satin and lace... bouquet of pink roses, both powdery and fresh, on an old art deco boudoir dressing table filled with lovely lace doilies...love it!

I love this fragrance! I originally bought it looking for a fragrance where rose plays the starring role. However, on my skin, violet is the predominant note. For me, this is not a rose fragrance, but it is a very beautiful violet fragrance, with rose being a secondary player. Because I love violets, I’m happy I found this fragrance, and I will keep looking for my favorite fragrance where rose is the star. I am so sad it has been discontinued, so I bought an extra bottle for when my current one runs out.

This is unfortunately a discontinued fragrance. Substituted by Splendida Rose, which is quite different ,a water washed version of the original Rose Essentielle. It was my signature and I am very confused and disappointed about reasons behind this commercial choice. If you are lucky enough to put your hands on this original scent (check the cap of the bottle and the name Rose Essentielle) keep it with you and consider it an hidden gem in your collection. Bvlgari should have made this a permanent offering. I came across this perfume when traveling through London Heathrow Airport's duty free section. Someone had sprayed it and I literally hunted it down to find the name of it. In my collection, this set the standard for rose fragrances. Some are too heady, too jammy, too artificial, but this is just beautiful, sensual, and very enjoyable. I hate that Bvlgari discontinued it. It is one of my desert island fragrances.

I loved Rose Essentielle and I could understand why suddenly when I wanted to buy another one I could not find it anywhere (literally anywhere, I travel a lot..) then few months ago I had luck finding a bottle 100 ml in Dubai airport ... Now I know that e new rose scent is out from Bvlgari and I don't know if Rose Essentielle will be produced anymore...yesterday i tried the new one and looks like a washed out version of rose essentielle. that is unbelievable. Why?

Was able to find a bottle of this beauty online, with the help of a lovely Fragrantica friend. This is her favorite rose fragrance, and I can now see it becoming mine as well. If this meticulously blended EDP is an example of Bylgari quality, I’m in! The fresh traces of blackberry and mimosa seem to elevate the fragrant rose without making it overly sweet or dated. Softly & beautifully perfect. With this being discontinued, I’ll find appreciation in every spray.

This is a great Rose fragrance! It's not over powering, yet the silage was a good 6 feet, that was how far my daughter was standing from me at least..we measured..lol. Sometimes Rose can smell somewhat like a funeral parlor on me, but this is just perfect! Longetivity was great too, on skin about 6-8 hours on me, on my sweatshirt it's still going strong. 100% full bottle worthy, more than likely I won't even wait until my Scentbird bottle is empty!

If I liked rose I would probably love this. I don't though, but still, this is a nice, soft fragrance. Soft, feminine, most people are okay with rose so most won't find this cloying like I do. I just have a very instinctual aversion to rose scents for some reason, but as rose fragrances go I was able to tolerate this. My sister LOVES this. And I really like bvlgari floral stuff. I would recommend this.

Why Bvlgari? Why? Did you have to discontinue this then replace it with that watered down no blackberries rose rose disaster? PLEASE PLEASE Bring this beauty back. Look at these reviews. Mostly knock offs floating around on E bay. The few real products are about $500. Even if it's a limited time only. If anyone agrees. Please thumbs up 👍 for our beautiful Rose Essentielle.

I wore this for the first time today - this is such a beautiful scent! It starts off somewhat airy and powdery. After a while, though, the berries come out and change the fragrance. It becomes sweet, clean and fresh, which I love! This is very feminine and elegant, yet I feel it would be suitable for any occasion. After only one wear, this has become one of my favorites!

A youthful, feminine, and innocent rose. This scent reminds me of my teenage years. It is most likely what ignited my love for rose in fragrance. I would describe it as an aquatic floral. The most prominent notes are rose, violet, and musk, but everything is subdued with a watery flair. It sits fairly close to the skin. Perfect for both spring and summer. Overall: 7/10

I think of a shiny tube of pretty rose-pink colored lipstick when I smell this . I love that this a sweet sugary rose, but really refined and still elegant. Some powder, but also very juicy and dewy, perhaps from the berries or type of roses. I dont find it heavy and I feel like I can load this on. Im a sucker for roses, they are feminine, romantic, and timeless.
