Rose Goldea

Very beautiful bottle with romantic scent. Initially, I was only planning to test the scent in the store but ended up buying a 100ml bottle because the bottle is too beautiful not to own. I tested the BVLGARI Goldea (yellow bottle from 2015) before and found the scent quite delightful. However, when I saw the 2016 version Rose Goldea face-to-face, I couldn't help but fall in love with the look of the bottle instantly. It is like a jewelry! Many perfumes bottles are beautiful but I don't know, maybe it's the way they present it in store, making this bottle stands out as extremely elegant & unique. It took me 30 mins to decide whether to get the Goldea from 2015 or the new Rose Goldea. Store lady said Rose Goldea is more youthful and sweet while the 2015 Goldea is slightly more mature with stronger character. To me, I actually like the Goldea smell better at first for its opening note but I like the middle note more when it comes to the Rose Goldea bottle. In the end, I chose the Rose Goldea (2016 pink bottle) for 3 reasons: 1) Goldea 2015 seems more of a winter scent to me and Rose Goldea will work all year round. 2) Pink bottle looks just prettier with it rose gold and all that 3) It seems right that Rose Goldea is fresher scented, does smell more youthful - wear youthful scent when you can cuz u can always wear more mature perfume later on in life :p So there it is a beautiful piece of jam with the delightful scent. My nose detect mostly a beautiful mixture of rose, musk, vanilla and sandalwood :)

Just spectacular! I had just "scrolled through" this one without paying any attention (for some reason I thought it would be like D&G:s Rose Excelsa, which is fine, but kind of hollow) and I had a chance to buy it. And it blows me away right now. The opening has got something I have never smelled in a rose fragrance before - it ́s a bit sour, woody, resinous. Believe me, it does turn soft and rosy, but it ́s so much more than a pink or fresh rose. The musk is very intense in the beginning as well. Pomegranate is usually very nice to me, tart and sour, but never shrill. Here as well. A lovely, lovely jasmin that I smell almost as intensely as I do the rose. Perfectly "watery" peach, like a more subtle version of the peach in Idylle Eau Sublime, which is rosy and musky as well. Actually, this is what Idylle Sublime would smell had it developed nicer, had it become grown-up and sensual (which it doesn ́t). Maybe the olibanum is behind this sensuality together with the sandalwood, which here is super nice quality, like in Santal Majuscule, but way softer, of course. Bvlgari makes such subtle scents and even though their silage is usually low key they last and last. I barely smell the vanilla, which is just the way I like vanilla. What a lovely, lovely surprise!

Bvlgari Rose Goldea is a vibe on its own and just needs the right skin chemistry to shine brightly. I am usually drawn to scents that are loud and in your face but Bvlgari Rose Goldea literally mesmerized me to the point I found myself going back 30 minutes after spritzing it on my skin to buy the 90ml bottle. Normally, I would be focused on sillage because I like people to get a whiff of what I smell like. This perfume smells so good on me: rosey, fruity, sweet in a mature way and pretty. I just felt pretty, sophisticated and expensive without being over-the-top while wearing this scent. I had a sense of being someone who knew a secret others didn’t know and that made me smile. If you are lucky to have the right skin chemistry like I do for this perfume to shine, get yourself 2 bottles if you can get it on discount and enjoy smelling like an expensive rose garden with a fruity, musky twist. This perfume makes me happy and I am so glad I came across it and gave it a chance instead of judging it by the poor reviews from others. I live in a warm climate and it is holding itself very well. The bottle is very pretty and elegant so it looks great on my dresser amidst my other collections of great finds.

such a stunning full bloom rose, it isnt made to be surprising or inovative and a lot of people expect that from the designer houses i guess. but no, here we are met with classicaly beautiful roses, boudoir powdery and romantic, a really soft trail that is refined and well stablished. if youre looking for elegance and femininity you will find it in here. its my favorite rose because it is so balanced and pure and can be easily worn year-round. the bottle is stunning also and i love how it reflects timeless beauty rituals from cleopatra, she came in a boat to visit julius ceasar into which the sails had been drowned in rose water so the perfume arrives before her to make him see her as aphrodite, rose petals were floating in the air too as she arrived, an extravagant presentation deserving of a goddess truly!

Fresh clean floral rose scent. Very pretty, lady like and ultra feminine. It has that french feel to it. Very delicate and romantic scent. It is difficult to describe the notes, I do detect musk but it is a faint whispy refreshing musk not the heavy kind, it smells dewy green floral rose and has a refreshing feel. It is perfect for hot sunny days. I do find it lasts 5 hours on me which is better than expected. I will buy this eventually. Although not the most unique, it is different enough and has an expensive and luxurious feel like all Bvlgaria fragrances. It reminds me of summer romances in open fields, it is very natural and refreshing and rather simplistic but not boring. For me it is one of those fragrances that instantly makes me happy, it has a hopeful carefree happiness about it. 7/10

One of the best rose perfumes you can get if you like soft, dewy, fruity with a delicate dry down. It's an intimate scent and sticks close to skin. Lasted about 6 hours. The wind still manages to carry your scent with this. Not reminiscent of the elderly imo, but I love rose. I genuinely believe all ages can wear this. It's a linear scent and smells like you took a bath with an expensive soap made of fruits and tons and tons of freshly picked pink roses. The peony and the base notes make this a dream. My mom adores this and she's in her 60s and it smells even better on her than me. On me it smells soapy, on her it smells like the most delicate bath water. It will be her next present! Perfect bedtime rose ! And trust me, I am a rose collector ! Soft, but full bodied pink rose, without much else added, maybe a hint of jasmine, and a hint of peony . Luckily I do not smell the musk which I don't like usually , as it brings laundry detergent to mind. There are also no violets added , the typical offender for powderiness . Much more natural smelling than I expected, given the multitude of notes and fancy, kid of tacky , bottle. Oh, but I do love rose gold, so this is nice. Overall a gorgeous , polite, innofensive, classy, full bodied rose scent, with average to low lasting power and silage. Nothing amazing, just beautiful, nice, calm. And yes. It does remind of Chloe Roses .

Very pretty rose perfume. It will be a keeper in my collection. The longevity works differently for me in different climates. It lasts longer for me in the warmer months and smells nicer on my skin in the warmer climate. I normally have dry skin, but this lasts for ages on me in the warmer climate. The scent is beautiful. I sprayed this on tissue wrapping paper for my cousins wedding gift and her first response was “oh my god what is that? That smells beautiful”. Very feminine elegant woman scent. Something you’d wear to a high tea or when wearing a pretty floral/summer dress.

Soozatzkas review is spot on: This is as much a sandalwood scent like a rose scent. Now in winter I smell more spicy sandalwood and musky rose than in spring. Olibanum also stands out clearly. In warmer seasons also the peony and the jasmine note appear, which mix wonderful with the rose (but still with a woody undertone). But I love to wear Rose Goldea in the cold winter: a sublime rose queen who has grown proudly, and also a little thorny, not girly or too innocent, with the sweet promise of the coming spring.

This is just a quick addition to the other reviews. I see where there are numerous votes for smelling like Roses de Chloe. I agree for the most part. However, Chloe florals always come out super sharp and pretty much stay that way. My chemistry and nose do not like them. Now having said that, I do not find Roses Goldea sharp at all....at least nowhere near the sharpness of Roses de Chloe. Alberto Morillas did a super job when creating this lovely rose fragrance!

When he kindly asked me to choose a gift from his business trip I replied: a new fragrance! No matter what it was but feminine, according to him. I was hoping (secretly) for J'Adore Absolu, he bought me Rose Goldea instead. I'm speechless. I couldn't have received a more marvelous gift! Rose Goldea to me is an airy, ethereal, subtle, in some ways crispy perfume of roses as none of mine. It's exquisite. Timid, shy yet daring in revealing femininity. And grace.

The past six years or so have added a lot of rose in their perfumes especially in Flankers for the popular lines. Rose Goldea stands out as a more classy refined fragrance that's for a slightly more mature (25 and over, not old) woman. Of course if you're younger, please indulge of you love. It's sillage and longevity is enormous but it's such a classy scent it doesn't offend. I find this to be seasonal but more of a daytime scent. Try it!

This is a wonderful rose scent, soft, dewy, musky. I detect rose, peony, jasmine, musk, creamy sandalwood and a hint of peach (it reminds me of Idylle Eau Sublime) and olibanum. All the notes are blended masterfully. It's extremely elegant and very feminine. It could be a perfect sophisticated signature scent for rose lovers. The rose is such an elegant note in perfumes. The bottle is beautiful as well. Alberto Morillas never disappoints.

This is for Green/fresh Rose lovers. I am. Rose Essentiale is gorgeous, and sadly discontinued. This is supposed to be the replacement for that Rosey place. It will definitely fill the need... but it is not the same as Rose Essentiale. Gorgeous fresh green rose, perfectly blended with peony, jasmine, a touch of musk. This fragrance is truly beautiful. Sadly it doesn’t last as long as I’d like. Wonderful Rose

I really want it now after testing it in a shop! I really like it! It is not too complex, but it is beautiful. It is elegant, feminine, kind of fresh, sweet and woody. It would be perfect for both a night out and for everyday use. Both winter and summer! I also think both a 20-year old and a 40-year old could wear this. And I also think a lot of men would like this perfume on women.. :)

A very pretty fragrance for rose lovers! This is a fresh rose with a subtle fruity touch (pomegranate), quite romantic and even a little innocent. I don't find it old-fashioned at all - I just think some people automatically associate rose with grandmothers out of habit. But honestly, it's a truly lovely rose scent for those who love this flower. For me, it's a bit of a mini crush!

Gorgeous rose perfume! I love the opening: fresh, divine roses that float around me like a cloud. After a few hours the roses start disappearing and I'm left alone with a slightly soapy, inoffensive fragrance that it's not bad, but doesn't have any roses... time to reapply :) Anyway, I'm going through a rose stage right now and I can't get enough of them. I truly love this puppy!

I love this perfume I used to wear Jean Paul Gaultier's Fragile Eu de toilette and was gutted when it was discontinued! Bvlgari's Rose Goldea reminds me of that perfume not just in the way it smells but in how I feel when I wear it its truly a delightful perfume and the best £100 iv ever spent on perfume and the 90 mill bottle has pride of place on my bedside table.

I don’t care other people call this a boring rose. Sometimes you had wearing complex, seductive perfume for too long, you need to change to simple, all season, all occasion perfume. Rose Goldea is your choice. Rose Goldea can be a serious perfume that send out message, a clean, well-behave lady, no nasty drugs and sex night out. Office appropriate.

Beautiful bottle, beautiful old-pink color, beatiful composition of roses with sandalwood. Staying power is suprisingly good, about 12 hours! Very elegant scent, can be worn with nice elegant dress, high heels and white pearls on neck. I do believe as previously mentioned, for some reason, men will like this scent. So happy to own Rose Goldea.

I am epileptic I have to be very careful with scents I used to wear jean paul gaultier's Fragile till it was discontinued leaving me heart broken! Iv been searching fore a replacement ever since and this is it it has a perfect balance of scents and both me and my boyfriend love it I will be buying this perfume at the very 1st opportunity.

I would bathe in this if I could. This is my signature scent the bottle is gorgeous the scent is this rose that is so elegant and ethereal this is a classy elegant scent for fans of rosé perfume however it can sit a little elderly I love it I don’t mind smelling like that but if you are blind or gifting the person must love the 🌹

My new fav fragrance it is impeccable just the most elegant rose smell i fell in love with it It’s very daytime inoffensive While still being sensual this is not your nanas rose garden more the soft feel of rose petals and silk sheets during an warm afternoon romp. the original goldea is lovely but this one is amazing

This is what I imagine women who bathed in rose petals in the 1800s would smell like. Smells very fresh and clean, like a really nice body lotion. It’s a lovely fragrance, I just wish it were a lot stronger. I can smell it on myself but for the amount of money it costs, strong sillage should be a prominent feature.

I got this because I can't find the Rose Essentielle anymore and I wanted to find something similar. This was close, not an exact match but it works for now. It doesn't last very long on me, but has a lovely rose scent in the dry down. It smells a bit soapy in the beginning but dries down nice and florally.

@FeuFeu - Exactly what you said! The only thing I can add is that I truly believe it will be more divine in warmer temperatures. It's a little too bright for my winter tastes. Agree with FF as well regarding the bottle being soooooo beautiful! I think this will be a go-to for summer :o)

Oh I love love love this! It's absolutely my favorite fragrance. I've been wearing this for years now and it doesn't get old. Feels like you've just been in a rose garden, and it's long lasting too. It's not sweet at all, very floral ,quite fresh and green.

Sweet floral and rose scent that’s not too strong. It makes me feel mature. Not like an old lady kind of vibe though. She could be young but very sweet and classy. Could be my work perfume.

A lovely elegant rose scent, in a beautiful bottle. Gorgeous colour pink. It's a sweet and smooth rose, deep and delicate. Sandalwood is sweet and comforting. It's beautiful. I love it.

Soft pink with an elegent energy. Not overly fussy or anything like that; easy to wear, supremely feminine. Like a frayed jean jacket with a lacy chamise underneath.

Powdery rose, a very faint vanilla, and musk. Sure, it's not a game-changer, but c'mon. You can't hate this.

Perfect rose and peony fragrance. Sandalwood and olibanum give it a mysterious feeling. Lovely.

the smell is heavenly, the bottle is gorgeous, the price is high😞

Unlike other reviewers I am getting the olibanum (incense) in the drydown. I get several different phases. Here is the breakdown on my skin: The opening is my favorite. It gives the impression that this fragrance will be safe and gentle with the most beautiful pomegranite and bergamot topnotes. The pomegranite does not smell at all cheap like it tends to in many other compositions out there. -Fresh fruits with peony & rose. An hour later the scent strengthens with jasmine and musk which screeches to my sensitive nose a bit. An hour later this screechiness drys away. -Musk & jasmine. There is another phase before the incense hits that feels almost powdery. Definately woody with that pretty rose that never goes away. -Woods & rose. Finally it feels like the fragrance took me from day to night when the incense appears on the 4th to 5th hour. It has a very middle eastern feel. -Rose & incense. This phase lasted on my skin well into the next morning before my shower. Yes, I could smell it upon awakening. I spritzed once on my arm at 2:30pm, while not wearing any other fragrance all day. It was still there at 8am the following day. I am not big on incense. Heavy incense perfumes just are not my style most of the time. So I was relieved to read reviewers explaining that it is not there. It seems that maybe if you are looking forward to some incense, you will not be satisfied. I was not expecting much of an appearance from incense and I felt that note to linger with the rose the most. Another thing is that I had a 2ml dabber decant sample of this from a swap. I tested it on 3 occasions in a 2 year period, before purchasing a full bottle. I loved it but did not have the same experience. I had the same opening, musky jasmine phase and woody rose phase. Not the last part with the incense revealing itself. Spraying made a big difference with this perfume.

First of all, The bottle of this perfume is very classy and attract you to buy it. I have tested it in a perfume store, From the first spray of this perfume in top notes I had smelled fragrance like Rose water, then This fragrance shifts to be mixture a lot of roses with Jasmine plus a little freshness came from Pomegranate and Bergamot with musk and a hint of powderness came from sandlewoods. If you didn't smell this perfume before, I advise that you can blind buy if you interest rosy fresh fragrance, this perfume very simple and easy to love if you adore Roses or Damask Roses, but I think maybe you can find this fragrance in mist if you was searching good in market, hence, this scent is easy to find a dupe of it with less price, but it may be a drawback of its stability for a shorter period. So, the other day, I was just browsing around, enjoying the vibe, and hoping to find something that speaks to me. That’s when I came across this perfume. The Bottle is like a little piece of art—pink glass, elegant curves, and just the right amount of sparkle. I felt fancy just holding it! Naturally, I couldn’t resist giving it a spritz. As soon as I sprayed it, I was hit with this beautiful, fresh rose scent. It’s not overly sweet or old-fashioned; it felt like a bouquet of roses right after a rain shower. There’s a hint of fruitiness too, which I think comes from the pomegranate, making it feel light and playful. I loved that it didn’t have that heavy, cloying vibe that some florals do. Now, here’s where I hit a small snag: the longevity wasn’t the best. It lingered for about five hours before I felt the need to reapply. Blind buy this just because i want to buy rose splendida but seller recommend rose goldea more than splendida. I love the bottle. Look sophisticated and classy and the bottle is quite heavy. I sprayed 2 times this morning and the projection was very low (for me). Sillage not so "wow" also. I am no so surprise with the smell. seems it is common rose scent. But, i admit, the smell was sooo good right after 1st spritz. And quickly absorb on my skin and blend so well, from a fresh rose (probably it is pomegrenate) and turn to sweet and soft rose scent (musky element in my opinion), a Just nice rose scent though nothing so special about it. I mean, it wont shock you ;) I think i need more time to get along with this scent. IMHO, rose essential is more strong and citrusy than rose goldea. Rose goldea is softer and just nice. I give 7 out of 10. Like this scent but sure wont repeat. And this one i will keep it as my collection.

This is a nice fragrance, safe for work with a gentle silage and good longevity.. The rose shines most in the initial stage, and that’s my favorite part of this perfume. The pomegranate, jasmine and musk are all strong players here and I found the dry down oddly aquatic yet musky with peony being the final floral note, not rose. There’s actually something in this that reminds me of Versace Bright Crystal in its pomegranate and peony brightness, but the musk and a touch of peach makes rose goldea softer and gentler. Ultimately I just wish for more roses, and I would have adored sandalwood and frankincense but I can’t seem to distinguish them at all. This might be a better fragrance for the summer heat. In this cold March weather rose goldea is quite polite and introverted.

The opening is a divine, dewy rose. It soon becomes becomes less interesting at the peony. I put Rose Goldea splash on before sleeping and when I awoke, I caught a pleasant smell on bedding but the scent was gone from my wrist. I wish the rose lasted. If it did, we’d be in business. I am amending my earlier review a couple of weeks later. The rose that opens this fragrance is a soapy, slightly sour rose that would please fans of Roses de Chloe or Yves Rocher Moment de Bonheur. While I enjoy these types of roses from time to time, I can’t make them my signature. It is much easier for my chemistry to wear a jammy rose. Just added Shalimar EdC to it for some vanillic sweetness and leather “edge.”

Bvlgari has created an beautiful, graceful and gentle Rose perfume. The Roses here are very elegant and luxurious, reminiscent of the image of a rich aristocratic lady in the 18th - 19th centuries. The scent is powdery, perhaps enhanced by Musk, like the Rose makeup on royal dressing tables. I usually don't like powdery perfumes, but here everything is just right and easy to smell. Rose Goldea gives me a Vibes filled with romance and luxury like old noble ladies. People say the longevity is not good, but it stays on my skin for quite a while. Rating: 8.5/10, gentle scent and beautiful bottle design like a gem. However, I still prefer Rose Essentielle from this brand

This is a pretty musky rose w/ lots of jasmine and peony. After smelling all the horrid Arianna Grande fragrances I did tonight while shopping it was nice to smell something that I may want to go back and purchase at some point. This starts off w/ a crisp bergamot and other fruity notes cloaked in musk. Then rose, jasmine and peony come and are quite strong. A subtle vanilla, sandalwood and peach soften the florals a bit but this stays very rosy throughout. Very pretty, great everyday classy rose perfume. I agree w/ the review below, this has a very strong tea rose smell, again if you love roses this one is a great buy.

This is one of my go-to office perfumes. It is a very likable rose scent that is far from the stereotypical "granny perfume" smell that some rose fragrances tend to have. It has a mild projection so it won't be obtrusive to your workmates even if you're working in a small, air-conditioned room. Despite the weak sillage, it lasts a decent amount of time on me: around 6 hours during the times when I am in a rush to get ready and I forget to put body lotion on, and 8-9 hours when I moisturize my body prior to applying the perfume.

It’s a nice floral fragrance that opens surprisingly fresh & clean. After 2hrs the musk comes to the fore joined by a hint of vanilla, working in perfect harmony with the peony & rose. After 3hrs I get another wave of the beautiful opening. I wouldn’t mind at all sitting next to someone wearing this and I know for a fact that my twenty year old me would have loved this, maybe my thirty year old me, too. If I find a small bottle at a good price I will probably consider buying it as a guilty pleasure...

The epitome of a rose -- the most genuine and fresh likeness I've ever had the pleasure of smelling. For those of you who have been searching for a true rose fragrance, Rose Goldea is it; not in the least powdery, synthetic or cloying. A beautifully balanced fragrance. I'd say it has moderate sillage and projection, and the longevity is about 4-5 hrs. Though by the end of the day the scent still lingers on your clothing, whirling through the air as you undress -- delicate, elegant, and coy.

Very clean rose, almost soliflora. The peony note and jasmine are noticable, but doesn't overcharge the main star. Perfume conception is meant to be bright and sunny and it is. To be honest, on my skin it behaves almost like rose water. Musk-vanilla base is warm, but intimate. The scent is more watery than sensual. It has oriental vibe, however spiciness is present only by bergamot. If you want to smell feminine, graceful and neat, this is a very safe chioce.

A nice clean, wearable rose. Not too soft, soapy, or sweet making it relatively ageless. I agree with another reviewer that it leans a bit peony, but I like peony and tend to not love rose so it's working for me. I'm not getting the other notes in a meaningful individual way, but this isn't a soliflore either. A bit formal but then it's rose so of course it is. Projection is a little less than arms length with a forearms length streak from a splash bottle.

Smells similar to the orange jessamine flower, with some added notes obviously. Fresh, floral, sweet in a subtle way. Surprised there's no orange, or even orange blossom, in the notes, because the bergamot totally reads as orange-ey to my nose. Mainly smelling the 'bergamot' (although interpreting it as orange), jasmine, other floral notes, and peach. It's such a stunning, feminine, fresh fragrance that isn't overpowering or harsh on any front.

There is just something about Rose Goldea that makes me like it so much more than many other musky rose fragrances. I guess it is the fact that the sweet and juicy rose is never completely overpowered by the musk and that it stays recognizable as a rose fragrance until the end. To me, this smells like a youthful, kind and elegant woman. Rose Goldea is suitable for many occasions throughout the day, from the office to a dinner date.

I love this scent, nice combination of rose and peony, the dry down is slightly powdery and milky. feminine and traditional. it’s a little fresh spicy and some how I detect carnation notes. I hate the intimate projection, I had to stay close to skin to detect the scent. No projection. It leaves no tail. My friends can barely smell this scent on me. Overpriced for its performance. The bottle design is remarkable, but make no sense.

Not usually a fan of rose scents as i think they lean a bit too “old lady” for me but this is one that i can get behind. Don’t get me wrong it’s still super powdery and does remind me of my grandma but after the initial sharp powdery rose evaporates it leaves such a lovely musky milky scent that sits close to the skin. it reminds me of milky turkish delights. It wouldn’t be a rebuy but i’ll enjoy it while it lasts!
