Splendida Tubereuse Mystique

I'm obsessed. I've not smelled tuberose done like the real flower on the stem before. The devana keeps it from going the super sweet bubblegum baby l'inderit, my way, scandal, woman, direction. So you're getting a fresh out of the garden tuberose with the most feminine level of spice from the myrrh as opposed to extremely spicy fragrances that smell like they're for men (Khamrah, for instance). And the vanilla absolute rounds it off smelling so sweetly slightly spicy and elegant. I just got it/wore it today, and I know fragrances tend to change over time and I can't wait to see what this beauty does. I have so many oriental vanillas and oriental this or that's that kind of all smell the same (jasmines, orange blossoms, vanilla) so I've been branching out looking for fragrances with notes I don't have in my collection already such as devana and myrrh and believe it or not I haven't had a decent tuberose since Ralph Lauren dc'd Blue for women (when you had the 2005 original, the reformulation will only make you miss the old formula). I love love love this perfume and it's long lasting, good sillage and such a great price on Perfume Empire, too! 🥰 I used to attend mass every Sunday as a kid, and the priest would kick it off by walking down the aisle with an incense burner swinging with myrrh. Tuberose was and is considered so sexy that during certain periods throughout history in Europe and Asia unmarried women were forbidden from walking through the tuberose gardens after dusk! So it's got the elegance of such a beautiful spice as myrrh and the sexiness of a tuberose fresh on the vine rounded off with vanilla. My husband is obsessed. He LOVES this one. This is my first Bvlgari and I'm sorry to have been sleeping on them for so long, I usually tend to give all my attention to French perfume houses and missing out in Italy! Gonna try more! If you're into the whole occasion, time and season for perfumes thing, this is a night time fragrance for a date with a man you want to marry, or a rooftop party at the nost expensive hotel in town. It's shining in the middle of June and I'm sure it'll be just as good in December. If it's too strong then spray less. If that's too strong spray it in the air in front of you and walk through it. That way no fragrance is ever too strong but, unfortunately, can be too weak and all you can do is hope it oxidizes stronger. This one has excellent performance though. Anyway beautiful bottle too. Looks like a big sapphire sitting on my vanity. 💙 Edit: I bought Shalimar Souffle primarily as a layering perfume, because it has a dash of bergamot, jasmine, and that Guerlain vanilla that makes me want to lay on a cloud and I've been layering this with Souffle - divine. More vanilla more citrus and a dash of jasmine to make it deeper. If you can't figure out where to wear Souffle, because you're not getting married soon and haven't been going to church, or both, use it to add the best parts of the Guerlainade to your other more simple fragrances.

Tubereuse Mystique is a bit dumb but I love it. It's a partially-fascinating sweet blob. I would say it's just as much an ode to bubblegum as it is to its purported main note. I loved Hubba Bubba as a child. Tubereuse Mystique is beautiful and delicate, and if angels had bubblegum it might smell like this. I waited for it to become something more interesting, hoping that the 'mystique' would unfold into succulent depths... that there would be a mystery or magic in there somewhere. It didn't, and there wasn't. It's momentarily gorgeous: then suddenly very simple. It remains delightful and sweet, and finally collapses into powdery sweet and mindless fluff. I feel a bit disappointed for a moment, then think "yum yum!" and go in for another sniffing session (I am a bit shallow like that). Sadly Bvlgari charge a lot more than Wrigley's, but they have made it possible to physically inhale the divine aspects (of the original flavour, imbued with extra grown-up twist), meaning no more laborious and undignified chewing to get that hit. After a while, it even smells like the fine powdery dust you used to find on the surface of the unnaturally pink sweet and its cheap paper wrapping. In summary: my brain isn't capable of appreciating this fragrance as an artistic representation of tuberose, but I feel posh and trashy love for it anyway. My advice is don't bother really, unless you are a bubblegum/penny chew connoisseur.

My favorite 2019 release so far! The only one I’m putting on my wish list. I‘m so impressed, and I‘m usually not a big fan of Bvlgari. Let me explain, I have perfume-loving skin and a fairly good sense of smell (at least I think so), so I‘m rarely complaining about sillage and longevity. But with many Bvlgaris I find it very difficult to „catch“ the scent and smell anything for a longer time, they most likely use some kind of base I‘m anosmic to. Not with Tubereuse Mystique. I‘m not sure what davana smells like, but all the other notes are clearly detectable and make this an enveloping, sensual, truly mysterious perfume. The black currant is similar to a fruity liqueur, the tuberose is very hypnotic and keeps a sense of airiness at the same time. No „random white floral“ boredom, no mushroomy-powdery old school floral chokehold. The opening is very focussed on the titular tuberose, but the vanilla and myrrh are already waiting and make this smell so warm and alluring. It‘s a sweeter scent, but in a floriental way, not candy-like and not even really gourmand. This is both creamy and balsamic. I even sense a hint of smoke here. Good for evening wear, but versatile enough to easily work on colder days, too. If you like scents like Addict, Manifesto Elixir, Noir pour Femme and really anything feminine, warm, floral oriental, don‘t sleep on this. A perfect match for the lovely dark blue and gold bottle.

Bvlgari Tubereuse Mystique is, to my nose, an absolutely gorgeous interpretation of tuberose! A couple of reviewers characterize it as a "green vanilla floral" in the same category as Dior Addict or Angelique Noir (Jennswen and Jwdp) and I can totally see what they mean. It's definitely NOT your mom's or grandma's classic, very green, naturalistic tuberose a la Carolina Herrera, Michael Kors, or Robert Piguet Fracas. Rather, it's vanillic, yet slightly green, a tuberose with both a creamy, latte quality (as Eddie Bulilqi put it) along with the dusty, incense of myrrh. It's strong without being utterly overpowering, or linear (as is Ralph Lauren Woman Intense, for example, another sweet vanilla tuberose), and you only need 2-4 sprays and you're good (and I'm typically an oversprayer). It's quite long-lasting, enveloping me in a lovely scent bubble for 6 or 7 hours, though I did spray again, halfway through the day, to prolong the beauty. I think it would be good year round, actually, because while strong, it's not overwhelming or TOO sweet or cloying; the tuberose greenness tempers the vanilla and the dusty myrrh prevents it from going syrupy. It's really beautifully balanced. Highly recommended.

Mmm, Splendida Tubereuse Mystique. A warm and smooth coconutty tuberose. There is a lot of vanilla in this one, but it's not overtaking the beautiful tuberose; these two notes are holding hands and forming a divine union. It's not foody to me, it's simply an elegant sweetness. I am personally not picking up on any green note, such as the davana listed. Maybe it's gentle enough with the black currant to where it is hardly detectable for me. Nothing bitter or soapy about it. Overall, I find this to present the aura of tuberose very well, in a sensual and deep way. Sillage is moderate, and it's long-lasting. Edit: Oddly, the black currant reveals itself in the dry-down. The more I wear it, the more I smell it. It's adding dimension to this fragrance, and I can't get enough! I have three samples’ worth of time to debate whether or not I will be getting a full bottle of this beauty. So far, I'm thinking a full bottle is in order. Edit 2: full bottle acquired. Love.

I remember trying this one on a paper strip in a store a while ago...and it was love at first sniff, so i took the paper strip along and left it by my bedside and forgot about it...and the following week kept getting whiffs of a beautiful smell and couldn't figure out what it was. And then i remembered! So i put this perfume on my wishlist, time has passed, got other perfume bottles/samples, my taste and preferences have changed...until i remembered it again and snatched a small sample... and, although these days i prefer less sweetness(scandal used to be my jam) i still adore this syrupy bubblegum tuberose nectar...it's just good...it's sophisticated enough to not fall into the "generic linear sweet smell" category. It's sweet, yes, but it also has depth and a warm, ambery richness to it that i think comes from the myrrh. It is mysterious, regal almost... this is a must try for oriental floral lovers

Such a delicious, modern & elegant tuberose. Stylish suit pants, tight button up shirt, some chic heels & a spritz of this...ooooof yes! This is not a 'Fracas' clone: keep it separate from 'Truth or Dare', 'Velvet Vanilla' & 'Watch'. 'Splendida Tubereuse' is on a league of its own. A separate, sophisticated DNA. The opening isn't much, but what you get is an absolutely MAGICAL tuberose drydown. On my skin it's natural: not banana-like, bubblegumesque or too green. The tuberose blooms beautifully on a slightly masculine base. The vanilla is warm but not too sweet or gourmand, & the myrrh adds a subtle facet of masculine smokiness. There is something truly complex about this. This fragrance has the classy Bvlgari touch, however you need to be a fan of tuberose to appreciate the beauty of this one. This is a unique offering to the current popular tuberose perfumes on the market. Highly recommended.

The tuberose is beautiful here, although it's my first test. This isn't a dupe of anything I've smelt, but the tuberose is a little bit bubble-gummy (in a way that reminds me just a little of L'Interdit Givenchy & My Way Giorgio Armani) but more bread-like/sourdough-like with a tinge of wine (black-currant) with gives a church vibe - bread, wine, myrrh. I feel like there's a bit of jasmine & gardenia here helping to build the tuberose maybe. I also appreciate that this doesn't have the burning quality of some tuberose scents (especially vintage). I bet this could be worn year round, but I feel it would need a light touch in the summer, although the tuberose might bloom nicely, but since this is a winter test I will wait and see. So far it's a love. I'll let it sit for a bit and be back to update my review.

Tubereuse Mystique immediately captivated me. Wow, this is so stunning, elegant, and gorgeous. Quite a different take on tuberose than I’m currently used to. I loved her so much I held off a few hours on taking my evening shower because I didn’t want to wash away the beautiful scent just yet. The black currant is very apparent, and plays a very key role in this fragrance, so if you don’t like black currant I’d say try first. I happen to be a black currant lover. The black currant makes it juicy, while the davana balances her out, preventing her from going into bubble gum territory. This is such an intoxicating blend. Definitely up to par in quality with Rouge Malachite, although I wouldn’t classify them as dupes. They are both uniquely stunning & dark tuberose fragrances. All tuberose lovers must try this!

I really wanted to like Tuberose Mystique because I like Bulgari, but i am not a fan of this one. I have been wearing this for a few days now and I am not sure what is going on. I think my bottle is authentic, but I am not smelling much of anything. Batch code is two years old. Did it turn? Am I nose blind? I'm so disappointed. I really wanted a tuberose scent, but this is just some sort of white floral that doesn't even smell nice to me. Maybe it is too green for me. I guess I was expecting something less green like Linterdit Intense. I will try it again in hot weather and see if it improves on me. Edit: Two weeks later and the weather is warmer. This perfume has blossomed! Very happy I gave it a chance! Some perfumes just need some time. However, still too green for me. Not my vibe.

I sprayed this tonight, it's maybe 2 months after getting this perfume, and I don't know if it changed or if I changed but this perfume has become irresistible! It's giving juicy and satisfying, smooth, and complex. I recently sprayed something else on my teddy bears (Jardins d'Armide a powdery vintage iris) and it feels like Tubereuse Mystique said "babe move over, this is my show" and it was a total shift in mood for me. I still can't pick out the myrrh which makes me sad because I'm obsessed with myrrh, but IDC because this fragrance is a bonified Diva to me now. Deff gonna be checking out the other Bvlgari fragrances!

Okay, is it just me but the opening of this is TF Black Orchid and no hate to this at all. I loved it but not in a way that i would want to buy it immediately and that is why I have to go back to it again and let it sit on my wrist. however this is simply beautiful and like the bottle's name states it is mystical and definitely gives the vibes of someone who is going for an adventure and that person is fierce, spicy and for sure bold in her appearance, yet do not be put off by its strength because the scent knows how to turn every ordinary person into a pot of mystery.

I would not put the tuberose first in the note pyramide. I bought this one in my buying fit, not neccessarily loving it at first, but the more I use it the more I like it. The currant is indeed jammy and pleasantly dark, which makes it an acceptable note for me. I usually do not like it. The davana supports the sweet&sour jam vibe. The tuberose makes shy and sweet appearence, collaborating harmoniously. The sillage is not in your face, but the fragrance creeps up the skin and hits the nose strong enough. I think its underrated and great :) Overall dark and quite sexy.

How could this be, this intoxicating fragrance that fills every sense with the warmth of delightful tuberose & the sprinkling of davana with the spice, the tiniest addition of myrrh that takes you right to the the scantiest tip of the cliff, right to the edge of too powerful, it isn't, but it takes you there it challenges you to stay in the embrace of the perfume you chose and bask in the scent that brings you life. How could this be at this price. I don't know and I won't question as I am still on the tiniest tip of the cliff in this scent.

Wow. She is a sultry vixen who wears smokey eyeshadow with cat-eye liner, pencil skirts, and sexy over sized open back chunky knit sweaters with stilletos. This perfume is not what I thought it was going to be. Opening is blackcurrant and with the greenness of davana, tuberose mellow in the background, and as it wears it warms down to this lovely vanilla myrrh I didn't know I needed in my life. It is the winter tuberose fragrance, warm, soft, comforting but still floral. Olfa described it as touching cashmere and I would 100% agree.

I must update my post from last year: I had said that I didn't get much from this perfume. Well..... I decided to revisit it this week, and OMG this is beautiful! The best summer perfume I have! So creamy and sexy. I got a complement from a stranger! My diagnosis is that it has to be hot outside for this to blossom. Maybe it just needed to age a bit to reach its full potential. If you feel this perfume is too green or soapy, leave it in your perfume closet and revisit it later. It went from 0 to 60! It's a love for me now!

So well rounded, rich and soft. It feels like you’re touching cashmere almost. All the description listed on top of the page is true. But they’re so close that you can’t really it’s vanillary, tuberosey or even both. It’s a complete scent and close to be liked by the audience. It’s not a wow unique scent but definitely worth to try and smell it once. I loved this (as a tuberose fonder) and I hope one day I can get over this craze bc I’ve no money left in my wallet to spend on any bottles nor decants.

pure coconut unrefined oil with flowers. I love it . Before you give me thumb down ,try to mix a little bit of flowery smelling body lotion with solid portion of UNREFINED coconut oil,massage it onto your body and you will have 99% Splendida Tubereuse AND super smooth skin :) Why is there no coco nut mentioned it notes pyramide is a mystery to me. If you like Bvlgari ,but is slightly too sweet for you ,try Gucci Bloom Ambrosia di Flori. Practically the same fragrance ,except Gucci is less buttery.

This is stunning. Tubereuse Mystique is definitely sweet but not cloying due to the earthy, ambery undertones that give it so much depth and warmth, making it so incredibly creamy and mysterious — as the name suggests. Very classy, refined and delicious. Lasts pretty long (over 7h) on my skin and projects quite well, too. Could be worn during colder months but I feel like higher temperatures really help it bloom. Overall — delicious, elegant, creamy vanilla goodness!

I have smelt only one other scent based on tuberose and I have to say this one is much better. So for me this is 80% of tuberose and 20% of something else interesting that makes the whole thing very good. I also remember that when I was in the department store and tried to sniff it from the paper first time I didn't really get what it is until I got my 2 ml decanted sample later that I used to the very end: only then I realised what it is for me.
