Tygar x Refik Anadol

Such a sick bottle design. The scent is like if l’immensite and afternoon swim had sex. Absolutely gorgeous grapefruit and musk. Starting to realize ambroxan is heavy in all of my favorite frags. lol can’t wait to wear this in the spring and summer! Another 10/10 blind buy in my collection! For the price it definitely smells like luxury.

The regular Tygar bottle is already one of the most stunning fragrance bottles I have ever seen and owned but WOW this just took it to another level! I must own this bottle to add beside my regular bottle of Tygar.

This version smells less synthetic and aggressive than the original.

This is my take on Tygar x Refik Anadol by Bvlgari And also a comparison with the original. Right from the opening, what hits me the most is ambrette. It comes across really musky, oily, slightly sweet. As it settles, it turns more herbal, wrapped in this warm amber like musk with a slightly medicinal edge. To my nose, the grapefruit is toned down compared to the original. The original is sharp as hell in the opening and leans much fresher overall. In the dry down it goes into that clean clothes detergent smell. This one instead is warmer, more musky and herbal. It reminds me of black tea with lemon grass. Weird combination, but that is how I perceive it. The original is a sharp, fresh ambroxan bomb. This one is not pushed with ambroxan in the same aggressive way. Tygar x Refik Anadol feels warm, slightly herbal, earthy and musky. More cloudy and dense. The dominant aspect is that warm herbal musk, which in the dry down leans toward lemon grass. The original is loud, sharp and fresh, drying down into laundry. The structure to my nose is ambrette and ginger upfront, then musk, followed by vetiver with a bit of patchouli. Ambroxan is there from beginning to end, just less obvious, likely because the musk is dense and heavy. It projects less, but it lasts. Classic Tygar smells young and inexperienced. This smells more mature and grounded. If I had to put it into an image, Tygar x Refik Anadol smells like something that has been through shit and got burned in the process, and now it does not really see hope anymore. Not dark in a gothic sense, just heavier and more worn (don't worry it's not a dark perfume). Classic Tygar smells hopeful, energetic and uplifting. The dry downs are somewhat similar, but this one is more musky and slightly medicinal, while the original leans into freshly washed laundry. The original is also louder. Both are good, just in different ways. Most people will probably prefer the original Tygar. If you want something different within the same DNA, then Tygar x Refik Anadol makes more sense. But honestly, I do not find this necessary. Making another perfume with basically the same formula feels pointless. I could not find clear info about oil concentration. If it is the same, then this just feels like a lazy cash grab. At least when Amouage does it, they usually increase oil concentration and tweak the formula, like Interlude Man versus Interlude 53. This one feels more like: fuck it, keep it almost the same and squeeze money out of people. Really unnecessary. The price is ridiculous

Inhaling the crisp citrusy top notes make me think of delicious fruit drink by the pool durring the Afternoon Swimm... Then looking at the perfumer make me realize the connection. Citruses, ginger, ambrox... Undoubtedly LV wibes here are very much present.
