Yasep

The base of Yasep smells exactly like high grade Indian Motia Attar, which is made using sandalwood, musk and jasmine. It is an amazing achievement to get the deer musk and Mysore notes so close to real! I have some high grade examples of these materials and Yasep could fool me into thinking it's built on a base of real Motia. The other notes compliment and fill out the base so the Motia accord is always the star of the show. This means less modern aromachemicals and a more natural, more laid-back feel vs, for example, Tygar. I get decent longevity and modest projection from Yasep, it's elegant and a bit more restrained than average. All of the Le Gemmes by Jacques Cavallier are excellent, this is one of the best but I can also see it hard to appreciate. In some ways this is one for fragrance nerds as it takes some time and experience to appreciate fully process the complexity of sandalwood and musk. Not that Yasep is all-natural or anything, but if you aren't familiar with real, natural ingredients than it's harder to appreciate the quality of the recreation in Yasep. It might do well in Indian and Arab markets with customers who are more familiar with the smell. It'd be great for those looking for a more restrained scent of the highest quality too, it's very versatile and mass appealing. If you're in the US you can get Yasep for a very reasonable price right now, I'd say it's a safe blind buy, lol.

Albeit I stand by my initials words on this, I grossly under sold the point of how GOOD this is. I typically don't drop the "sexy" word when describing a fragrance, but, man, there are little other words I can use to describe what it is. The orange in here is so real and juicy and the vetiver is lending this earthiness to the fragrance that is out of this world in the dry down. Disclaimer: the opening can leave one with the distinct impression that this may lean feminine and is too loud and unbalanced. I mean the orange is like a bomb in the opening as well as the sandalwood. Initially those two notes do fight it out and are admittedly LOUD. But as it settles...my oh my... This becomes decidedly masculine and you'll find yourself lifting your shirt just to smell it again (and again) to confirm that the wafts you're getting is in fact emanating from your person's. Every one that I've smelled from this line has over exceeded my expectations. A fantastic line of masculine, chic and ritzy fragrances. Too bad they're so exclusionarily expensive... That's not a word but you get the point lol

Red, warm and beautiful masculine musk. It's hard to describe it as anything else, although it's quite abstract. I could best compare it to an amber-y blood orange. In the depths, a beautiful sandalwood. Particularly in the opening, a beautiful sichuan pepper mixed with mandarin orange. I don't give a lot of my personal input in this regard, but I would say you get beautiful openings from fragrances like these due to the amazing, natural fragrances used. However, naturals only last so long, and can't compare wit the lasting power of aroma-chemicals. So here, you have beautiful sichuan in the opening, but aroma-chemical musks (obviously, since real musk is prohibited to trade anyways) that take over and carry the fragrance for it's well above average life cycle.

What was I thinking? Ok, this was a blind buy after reading some reviews. I bought Gyan and Tygar and thought this would be a winner for me too. How could I go wrong with a Musky Sandalwood with fresh spices? Well, on me this was a blast of floral cucumber with a powdery dry down. For the price (ugh?) I gave this fragrance an honest try. I gave up and gave it to my daughter. Then it happened. She walked by me and her silage was amazing! I knew actually what she was wearing ... Yasep! The fragrance must have matured into a fresh ambery sandalwood with a sweet vetiver background. Not sure why this didn't work for me but it's amazing on her.

Apparently la gemme line takes inspiration from middle eastern scents and as a middle easterner this fragrance reminds me of a fruit gum I used to have as a kid. Mouthwatering mandarin, a creamy sandalwood, and a musk that gives it a rounded marshmallow like edibility. Smells like a DNA that should be prevalent in the market but it’s not. Strong longevity with soft projection (just like the man that would be wearing it). It’s quite linear, every time I spray it Marvin Gaye’s version of Sunny starts playing. I love this fragrance but no matter how natural it smells or how cool the bottle looks on my shelf, the asking price is ridiculous.

Another gorgeous entry in the La Gemme line from Bvlgari. The perfume opens with notes of Sichuan pepper and mandarin oranges. The dense heart is sandalwood and cedar. The perfume settles on a base of musk mallow, vetiver and amyris. Beautifully blended with high quality ingredients the perfume has moderate to strong sillage and excellent longevity. Regal, majestic, classy, masculine. Enjoy!

Signature scent worthy! This could be worn all year round! It smells amazing to me. You get an orange and a creamy sandalwood with musk, I also detect The amyris. Everytime i wear this i picture the color red immediately. Really safe scent.

Extremely mass appealing. I can’t see how someone could dislike or even be neutral on this. Performance is great but not overwhelming. It’s a simple but elegant fragrance, it kinda just gives off a light cloud of musk and citrus.

This is like a DEEP orange-y smelling fougere with sandalwood and musk. The vetiver's here to add a green grassy element which complements the orange-y smell. Perfect for spring.

Zesty, musky and sweet - really underrated from the line. Not even close to Tygar in the slightest, and the only resemblance it has to the MFKs is the amyris.

The top notes -- especially the pepper -- remind me a lot of Mont Blanc Explorer. Not as strong, but there's definitely some shared characteristics.

Beautiful scent, ridiculously expensive just because of the hype these line received.

I like this one so much it is so warm, tender, orangy and bright.

Sooooo what is this ? It's smells really designer ish ( well , it is a designer fragrance but perhaps I've expected too much cuz it's from the private like ) but with a lil bit of niche touch on it . Got me a bottle of tester , 2020 batch at a nice price . Scent wise , how do I start ? The moment I sprayed this on , it gives me a nostalgic feeling . Something that has been forgotten long ago and now it's circling around me . Weirdly after that , it reminded me of pdm sedley, not that they're similar at all but it reminded me of that . Oddly sweet on my skin as well but it's a great freshie . Versatile , wear this on a professional environment, going to class , gym , what ever you say it , yasep is there for you . Longevity is really great , I went to class at the morning at 10 , sprayed two sprays on me neck , and I still smell these on me neck . Really great stuff . Will I be keeping this around me shelves ? Let's see about it . Anyways to anyone whose reading this till this far , I wish you lads a good day .

Yellow Citrus and Synthetic Amber. Yasep is Tygar's brother scent-wise. It's a fresh yellow citrus (grapefruit/bergamot) with a slightly-metallic cool synthetic amber smell, something in the steps of amrboxan or ambrocenide. There a touch of spiciness to the scent, that gives it a lively vibe and adds a ginger-like touch to the citrusy scent. It's a shame the "musk" turned out to be a synthetic amber. I was excited to see what musky scent Jacques Cavallier make for Le Gemme. I find Tygar the better fragrance scent- & performance-wise. Although, Yasep is lighter, which some might prefer. Yasep reminds me of a lot of a relatively-unknown, now-discontinued fragrance called "By The Yuzu Grove" by Galleria Parfums. That same yellow citrus scent with a touch of lively spiciness. Warm weather, unisex wear that leans slightly masculine. Big "Like".

The longevity and quality is great though the sillage is under performing. I can smell this after 14 hours of one spray on my skin. If you want a sillage beast look elsewhere or spray more. Opening to closing this is a great scent though it is a bit pricey. You do get the “whole” package with that price. Great presentation (especially cap), high quality juice, and longevity. Nothing synthetic to my nose. It is likely one of my favorite high end designer frag lines but is still hard to justify the cost. Great citrusy woody scent with some musk and the right amount of spice. A little creamy and powdery as well. Would recommend year round though best suited in warm ish to hot weather. My wife loves the majority of this line which is rare for her to like any frag I do. Her buying it for me helps me justify the cost.

Hmmm... I’m Switzerland on this one. I absolutely want to love it. And it’s certainly appealing. It’s just, I can’t shake the feeling that Bulgari has gone and spruced up that powdery BLU from the 2000s. Worth the price tag? Certainly not. Good enough as an every day scent which is safe and pleasant. But that is it.

Smells very similar to Orange x Santal by Essential Perfumes. Orange popsicle is somewhat accurate, with a bit of a middle eastern influence. I like it. I dont think it's going to be a big projector, but it's very safe, very unisex, and very pleasant.

Remind me of Oud for Happiness. Not a bad fragrance but not worth the price. Doesn’t project at all. But, I do have to say, so far every fragrance from this line is extremely nice. It may turn out to be my favorite exclusive designer line.

Nice, but nothing to loose sleep about. And its pricing is a big joke for what ut delivers. (Even at discounters). Hard pass for me.

I think this fragarance has big resemblance with This is Us! Zadig & Voltaire. I am getting the same creamy musky sandalwood.

Creamy sandalwood with musk and citrus. Ok, but not doing anything for me. Doesn’t really fit into the Le Gemme line to me.

Parts of this remind me of Afternoon Swim, but veerryyy loosely. It is not Tygar. Very pleasant, not super special. “Like”

Yasep is disappointing. Overall the freshie is fine, mass appealing and office safe. It’s in the mold of any other designer blue fragrance. The orange comes across more sweet than natural and the sandalwood gives it a creamy texture, kind of creamsicle. The musk and amyris develop to offer a little more depth to the creamy citrus. It’s very designer but with a niche price. The projection is terrible. I don’t get the direct comparisons to Musk Therapy, but, I would say if you want something in that direction, Musk Therapy is leaps and bounds better than this. Overall rating 5/10.

Smells like a woody orange popsicle. Not bad. Reminds me of Initio’s Musk Therapy but I find Yasep less sophisticated.

Not that close to Amyris Homme (the EDT or the extrait), the amyris note is kind of recognizable, but it is part of a different woody accord. Most people will just get Sandalwood from this going in blind. Yasep is indeed very very similar to Musk Therapy, just as musky and body cream reminiscent, but is is also like a very artificially flavored orange popsicle. Could remind people of the citrus part of Afternoon Swim. It does smell expensive, although it is quite simplistic for the price point. The opening to mid transition is kind of surprising, as the bold citrus/pepper combo feels like this is going to be a very different scent for a few minutes. Projects mildly for 1-2 hours then sticks on skin for a long time, performance is definitely better than Musk Therapy. But, it feels weird. That's the only thing I felt wearing it. The mandarin/orange popsicle does not actually clash with the musky creamy wood base, there is nothing dirty or off in it, but the finished blend creates a sourness in the background that ruins the experience. Less people are going to find this fem leaning than they do Musk Therapy or LV Symphony or other body cream style perfumes, but it just didn't feel exciting to me at any point. Will be revisiting in early fall, but I'm pretty sure it will be a pass again.

This reminds me of Amyris homme. Not a huge fan of that note. This smells very cheap compared to other le gemmes.

First impression of this one was really solid. I smelled it in a niche fragrance store sometime back and had to go there immediately to get it's name and check it out. Immediately got my hands on a mini 8ml of Yasep to test it out completely before i pull the trigger. It starts with a juicy mandarin and amyris. It is more fruity than fresh in my opinion. Kind of gives me Erba pura vibes but less dense and less sweet. Smells amazing in the air and is inoffensive. As it dries down it becomes more woody and powdery and that juicy fruity aspect gradually fades away. Musk becomes very prominent after sometime and then remains for the lifetime of the fragrance. Very pleasing throughout. Signature scent worthy if you enjoy fruity juicy citruses and musk. Also resembles Amyris homme by MFK but this is more juicy and musky. I found the projection and sillage to be good but only for the first one hour, then it becomes close to the skin. Lasts on cloths for a full day and i smell it around me for a good 5-6 hours.

Mandarin, sandalwood, and musk. Simple creation which is blended nicely. I don't see the Tygar comparison at all. And neither do I understand what this scent has in common with MFK's Amyris Homme. Anyway, its woody and slightly sweet orange accord is decent enough but nowhere near worth its retail price. Could easily be released in the regular Bvlgari line instead. Performance is okay, nothing outstanding really. Sample before buying. 6/10

This is intoxicating not to sharp or loud spicy orange aromatic sexy so hard to explain I’m a women and want to wear it and urge to smell this it’s so good I picture a confidant person dressed chic walking into a room and everyone wants to know them, it’s yes I know I’m the best smelling person in this room

Wowww. Immediately yes. I need to get this for my husband. A must have for men. Creamy sandalwood + a woodsy citrus. I don’t see the symphony comparison maybe tygar a bit with molecule 04. Figured out what it smells like to me, I don’t know what by DS and Durga. Very good!!

I like this one a lot, perfect unisex, no masculine scent, more like an adult scent, adult woman or man. not so good performance, but spray on clothes and you will enjoy the scent a little more. reminds me of Middle Eastern fragrance

This one’s a weird one it’s nice but wouldn’t get a full bottle. Up close it gives afternoon swim vibes but far away i get a slight silver mountain water vibe without the silver. LOL Not sure where i’d wear this either

Strange one, Yasep. I like it, but it's weird. Yasep starts out with a cardboard smell. This dissapears after a while and leaves a musky, orangy dry down that lasts forever. Lasting power is very good on this one. 7/10

Funny (and sad) how some people call this “just another designer freshie.” To me, it’s what YSL MYSLF wishes it was; smoother, more refined, and far more elegant. Mass appealing? Absolutely. Ordinary? Not even close.

Wow this one blew me away, such a creamy citrus sweet Sandalwood. It’s so well blended and so smooth and seduction. I’m glad not much people know about this because it’s amazing. If you love tygar, you will love this

Something in here created almost a minty sort of accord in the opening - objectively speaking it was a nice scent, just not for me and didn't quite work on my skin chemistry.

When I tested this at the mall, 5 sprays on the top of my hand. It became a skin scent before I had left the mall within an hour. Smells good but zero projection.

This cocoons you in a lovely uplifting scent ... tried a sample and bought a full bottle. Sillage and longevity are moderate on my skin. Rating: 7.5/10

2/10 very straight forward orange/sandalwood fragrance with a little musk in the dry down. Too simple for me. Very difficult to swap or sell

I don ́t agree this being unisex, the woody musky accords makes this fragrance masculin. It's a classy and manly fall fragrance.

great solid perfume, fresh and not offensive, can be wear on daily and office nightout. fresh citrus, musk, saldal wood.

Coldn’t describe it better than Amen Corner did. I would just add that there is a sweet lactonic note. I prefer Tygar.

Non-fresh, sweeter version of Tygar where the grapefruit was replaced by a prominent sandalwood.

I agree with the symphony comparisons. Much softer tho more unisex.

This smells 90% like Bvlgari tyga
