Fièvre Verte

L'Heure Verte is a much nicer fragrance. Yes they're very close but Fièvre Verte has a stronger liquorice note although probably absinthe in L'Heure Verte. I own both but don't use this as much as other. Shame L'Heure Verte was discontinued. I get 10+ hours with both and both have a green feel to them under the liquorice and absinthe. High quality and if you like liquorice then it's perfect. I love all my kilian and makes creed look cheap and a total rip off especially with the disgrace of absolu aventus. I bought 3 bottles to have at least 1 sealed as an investment. Worse is I'll probably buy it at some point when price drops and want to try a sample

Pretty good wormwood opening! It's aromatic and has that anise-ey vibe that I get from hexensalbe as well. Aside from absinthe, this reminds me of ouzo as well. Dried down into a pretty earthy dirty patchouli that was pulled back by sweet vanilla. Moderate longevity, overall pretty wearable. EDIT: on second wearing, the licorice along with aromatic notes give a vibe of an actual black licorice candy... its pretty similar in effect to the aromatic candy-like plum accord of initio paragon, albeit pulled back a bit and a little more bitter. I like it

It’s an extremely comforting scent that can suit and improve any day! Most people who smelled it got a positive reaction and liked it. It’s very long lasting and I would say it’s the most luxurious unique niche scent that doesn’t smell cheap or artificial. The licorice note comes off as so fresh and minty but not too overpowering and it doesn’t get annoying at all.

This is an incredibly comforting scent that can wear every day, and I really like it. The cypress, licorice, and patchouli notes are perfectly balanced, without being overpowering or irritating.

Very unique with a mix of fresh and licorice. The dry down turns into a modern homage to old school men’s fragrance. I love it, but it’s not mass appealing. A co-worker actually stopped by my office to say I smelled like her Dad, old man-ish. She will need to get used to it, because Daddy just bought a FB.

Never smelled the other one, but the differentiating note between the two listings here, Cypress, is rather pronounced to my nose. Big smooth tonka base. I bought it.

I wish that harsh liquorice opening wasn’t there, as the patchouli dry down is divine

This won’t be for everyone and that’s fine as I don’t want to always smell like everyone. The name of this fragrance is inspired by the city of Paris and expresses the traditional French ‘Happy Hour', that early evening window of time when absinthe was served upon sugar into a glass and swirled with a spoon in a slow-paced ritual in which the liquid turns pastel green. Kilian’s made this to represent the period when artists would drink absinthe and get into the artistic mood. The main notes are simple Absinthe, Violet Leaf, Licorice, Patchouli, and some Woods. I get a nice blast of licorice off the first sprays. Then it slower transitions to violet, patchouli and woods. It has a nice bit of sweetness and the licorice never really goes away which I like. This is a difficult Fragrence to describe but I really like it and it has pulled some compliments only wearing it a few times so far.

This is a great perfume for a man. It is truly a hidden gem. I think the herbal notes in this makes it unique and shows "power" :) this can easily be worn on a date or on a business meeting. You will be noticed with this beautiful perfume!

I’m getting fennel instantly. Green but almost a sweet quality to it. Smells like the taste of those indian post-meal mouth fresheners (mukhwas) . The one with the fennel and sweet colorful pebbles in them. Dries down into a light lotion type of scent. something an older woman would use but not in a bad way. Like a slightly green vanilla boujee way. Dry down is moderate. The opening is strong.

It’s herbal and not really sweet- which surprised me. I enjoyed the opening a lot, the dry down becomes closer to a skin scent. I think if the opening was permanent I’d love it. If you have a distaste towards licorice or anise, I’d look elsewhere because it’s basically there in a muted fashion once it’s settled

Absinthe! Wormwood! Black liquorice. This is something Van Gogh would guzzle before he cut his own ear off. Not much for the wearing though. Very artisinal. Somewhere between 😐 and 🙂.

This scent starts very masculine before it settles into something the reminds me of a sauna infusion. Until then this scent, even though a bit too masculine for my personal liking, is quite good. Not overwhelmingly good like Angels Share, but pleasant enough to not dislike it and wanting to go back to sniff it a couple of times. The dry down however is unfortunately absolutely not my cup of tea. On me the Patchouli (I like Patchouli itself) is very masculine and it has a weird humid quality that smells like an old men who wears a generic old man perfume with a bit of sweatiness. The dry down is so unpleaseant, that I really want to get rid of it. I also feel that this scent profile is nothing new, nothing groundbreaking or outstanding. It is a generic men ́s perfume that develops a bit over time.

I wasn't thrilled when I discovered L'Heure Verte seemed to have mysteriously disappeared and been replaced by this curious doppelgänger that is Fievre Verte. The sad thing is however that while they're intentionally similar, I have a hard time believeing that they're the same fragrance behind different names. The first thing that caught my eye even before putting my nose to it was the significant color diffrence in the juice. The promotional images are heavily edited to begin with, but seeing the tester at the Kilian counter I initially thought it was Apple Brandy. And then there is of course the scent itself. It feels lighter, dryer and less sweet. I first got a sense of artemisia/wormwood as the notes here suggest, rather than licorice or absinth. On the whole they are still very similar, but side by side they are not the same in my opinion. L'Heure Verte is dense and decadent, there is nothing apologetic about it. To me Fievre Verte doesn't have the same density and while it still perfoms above average, it neither projects the same or lasts as long. I was hoping that the name change would be the extent of it, but I am fairly sure that the original idea has been reworked somehow in a reformulation to go with the new name. Those of us who love the original L'Heure Verte truly adore what it was, but if some of the other reviews are anything to go by then it was perhaps too original and out there to be the crowd pleaser and seller that Kilian was expecting it to be. Therefore they may have opted to "tame it" and attempt to relaunch the reformulation under a new name in order to get a second chance with those who had taken a pass on L'Heure Verte. I would love this to not be true.

Just left SAKS. BROKE PEOPLE DON'T REVIEW THIS FRAGRANCE. PEOPLE THAT HAVE BAD HYGINE AND HAVE NO TASTE DON'T REVIEW THIS FRAGRANCE. This fragrance smells like something I would imagine we would wear in HEAVEN. A fragrance straight out of Paradise. There's literally nothing compared to this fragrance. Don't pay attention to the notes above and don't think you could imagine what this smells like, you won't be able to. The best to describe this fragrance is Green Anise, violet leaf, green and purple, cold, oceanic, not the herbs you think of... it's DIVINE. I guess from what I read its Persian inspired. It definitely smells foreign...like it came from a garden out of Paradise. I tried out all the Maison Francis Kurkdjian fragrances at SAKS, with Aqua media and Amyris Homme being my favorit. Tried all the CREED fragrances also then the woman dragged me to the Kilian section and sprayed Fievre Verte and I IMMEDIATELY wanted to spray it on myself. None of the CREED gave me that urge. Had to immediately get it. Worth EVERY Penny. Makes all the CREED fragrances smell generic. Definitely Unisex leaning to the masculine. Scent: 11/10 Longevity: 12-16 hours easily. 2 Hours if you stink and sweat. Wash yourself. Sillage: Arms length Price: Worth every penny Go to SAKS and try it out.

The entire Killian collection of boozy fragrances in crystal bottles is outstanding, and I’ve just discovered my favourite among them. Fièvre Verte is literally a perfect scent, 10/10. As a woman, I absolutely love this type of herbal-woody-boozy-sweetish scent; I’d love to smell it on a man, but I would’t mind wearing it myself either. To be more specific, Fièvre Verte smells like a perfect mixture of two of my all-time favourites: FM Noir Epices and MFK Grand Soir! The patchouli is very strong, and superbly combined with licorice, woods, vetiver, spices, and a boozy, not too sweet vanilla. This fragrance is expensive, but totally worth the money, because of its exceptional performance. It lasts all day and projects magnificently, so one 50ml bottle can last for many years. I’m genuinely impressed.

Tried for the first time today. It has a fantastic herbal opening. On my skin though the blend gives the impression that it contains... fennel. I love fennel in food so when I let my husband have a sniff from my skin he laughed and said I found a perfume that smells of my favourite flavour... Which is ok, I really like the smell of fennel. But the thing is this scent does not offer much afterwards, it stays super linear, the fennel becomes slightly sweet with time until at 5 hour mark we are left with sugar cubes dipped in a fennel sauce. For a brief moment I considered getting this second hand, but the finish is too sugary. I had a similar issue with Old Fashioned - also a sugary finish on my skin. Also, it's a skin scent, very delicate, very inoffensive.

Update: this actually projects way longer than 12 hours and it leaves a scent trail. Every time I walk and have to turn around to go back in the other direction i vividly smell the fragrance. I went to sleep with the t-shirt I had on and woke up still smelling the fragrance on my neck and shirt. Yesterday I went to get food at a mall and when I walked in a group of girls were walking out the same time. I noticed a few of them turned around to look at me. I could tell they smelled the fragrance I had on and I only sprayed 2 light sprays on each side of my neck and 1 on the back of my neck and that was 6 hours prior before I went to the mall. Longevity: over 14 hours easily.

@volume-dealer. It’s out now and is a lovely and complex fragrance. Why be so judgmental ? Some of us work in the industry and get samples and testers prior to release. My guess is you would not be able to buy it in any case. It’s a beautiful fragrance and well worth having, in any decent collection. Btw it really is l’heure verte. There is no difference whatsoever

Lovely herbal anise and wood scent, like a Halloween-y witches brew. I like it a lot, but my licorice-hating husband will hate it. Full dry down has light vintage men’s cologne feel but in a rich and lovely way that I REALLY like, plus that anise lingers. Really really like this one. The licorice is pronounced. Yup. Husband will hate this.

fievre is way better than l'heure. dense, thick, complex and mass-appealing. they're from the same family but not so similar. when l'heure is like a high quailty designer, on the other hand, fievre is so niche and maybe the best in its line. if you have the older one, would be a great update. if you have both, no one is redundant.

I mean...why? Why market this as new when it’s the original scent with a new name? Unless it’s different, someone please tell me. I absolutely love L’Heure Verte! Wore it yesterday and the girlfriend loved it!

I have smelt it in Singapore and it is just l’Heure Verte. My guess is that maybe Guerlain contested the name because of “l’Heure Bleue”? This is uncertain but could justify a change of name.

It's exactly vertus sole patchouli, and i have them both (but little bit lighter strength), sole patchouli stronger and full day sillage , this one almost 6 to 7 hours

Again the idea behind is healing herbal composition, reminds me something from Guerlain not sure which one thou, scent of dick in red street to be to the point.

This brand died when taken over by Estee Lauder. Virtually all their scents have suffered in one way or another since.

Supposedly just a name change. Nothing should be different from L'Heure Verte according to Kilian brand reps.

I'm curious if this is the same? Why do they do this? It gets so confusing...I guess that's why.
