Forbidden Games

My first impression of this fragrance was a musky, potpurri scent, just vague mix of fruits and didnt think I would like it. However the more I wore it, the more it grew on me. It is more complex than i first thought and has a nice, long lasting, evolution of notes. I dont find it linear at all, as some reviewers said. In fact, quite the opposite. Forbidden Games opens with that strong potpurri smell, but quickly, notes of cinammon apple and peach emerge as the top notes, along with a nice musky scent- perhaps the oppanax? Then the jasmine and rose come join the party, but the top notes are still there. As it wears on, the fragrance dances around: between strong and soft, fem and masc, fruit and floral, and disapears for a lil bit just to bounce back providing different wafts of notes for hours on me. The vanilla and honey are most prominent on the drydown.You can smell the quality of the ingredients. FG is quite long lasting on me. Ironically, i dont have the best sense of smell, but I can smell it on myself for around 7 hours. Not sure about the sillage, I assume average unless you just sprayed it, in which case has strong sillage. Also I detected some similarity to "back to black" pop up here and there. I smell the same honey/vanilla/even chamomile and hay notes in both. I suspect some of the same Calice's concoctions are used in both. This is a fragrance you need to test over a few days to appreciate it.I havent tried the other 3 in this line yet so I cant compare with them. I think is unusual and different in the huge market of fruity/florals, and def worth a try!

I chose this fragrance as part of the discovery set on the Kilian website. I shouldn't have read the reviews right before I tried this, but I did and was therefore expecting to not like this one. I'm not normally one for fruity fragrances, so I didn't love the super fruity and somewhat artificial opening, but then that calms down and the florals make their debut and gosh, it's just so pretty! I was sitting outside in fairly cold weather with a mask on when it bloomed. At first I thought someone had walked by me wearing a fragrance and then I realized that this scent had just transformed that much that I didn't even recognize it. The florals just blend so well with the other fruity notes that you can't really pick them out that well. For instance, jasmine lends more of a quality to the scent than a distinct note. I did pick up the honey even in the heart of the fragrance, but again it was the syrupy quality of honey rather than a distinct honey note like in Back to Black. Projection is good, within an arms reach but beyond intimate. I put it on at around 8:00am this morning; it's now 6:22pm and it is a skin scent. I'm impressed! I still have a bit of a scent cloud around me because it clings to clothes really well. Will I be getting a full bottle? If money was no object, absolutely. It's entirely possible that I'll save up for this one. I still have so many samples to sample. I don't know which scents will come out on top, but this is definitely a contender and I'm fairly picky.

On smell alone this is one of the best smells you will get your nose on. It is imo the best peach scent on the market. The honey and the jasmine give it a syrupy lush depth while the rose and geranium keep it fresh and spritely. The blend is masterfully done. The name Forbidden Games is quite apt. There is almost something hedonistic and sinful about this much olfactive pleasure. I share the eXact same sentiments as a review stated earlier; this is eXactly what I wanted Dangerous Liaisons to be! It is a well balanced fruity fragrance. It sits right on the edge of being too fruity but it remains traditionally gender nuetral, it is neither too rich and thick nor too fresh and light. There is an element of the familiar in this fragrance and that doesn't make it mundane. It contains no eXotic notes and so some ppl read that as generic or unimaginative, I pity them. What FB is, is a delectible fruity fragrance done to perfection using only the best of ingredients and the most masterful of blending techniques, every note sings harmoniously and supports the others to the benefit of the overall smell. Unfortunately projection is quite average. It is more of a summer time fragrance as the heat really boosts its presence on the skin. One if my favorite byKilian fragrances and a head turner. Longevity - 10 Projection - 7 (9 in the summer) Smell - 10 Overall - 8.5

Nothing like J’adore. Totally underrated! Please judge this for yourself, I think it’s en vouge to hate on some brands, Kilian is one of them. I didn’t expect to fall in love with this fragrance but I found a 2017 bottle for an amazing price and snatched it. The opening is a delicious, ripe juicy peach, dripping with honey. I also get a lot of vanilla and it’s all balanced with rose and Jasmine which never take over but they are more present in the dry down. I find Forbidden Games creates a wonderful scent bubble for 2-3 hours then becomes more intimate, create a beautiful silage as you move for another 3 hours. It does remind me of a Gourmand version of Chanel Allure, the EDP but still not redundant as allure is more polished and proper whereas I find Forbidden games sexy. Id like a bit more opopanax and cinnamon but that might jump out at me with more wears. I feel this wears beautifully in the heat and humidity.

Florals with honey. Smells better in the air than on paper. The projection is great with this. I have a love hate relationship — I love the honey note and how airy, elegant and feminine the scent is, but there something screechy in the background. Maybe it's the mint/menthol feel from one of the notes? I don't pick up cinnamon at all too, which is much more pronounced in Angels Share (my fave). It's also headache inducing up close, a little too sickly sweet even for a gourmand lover like me. Overall, it's a nice scent for everyday and day dates, but it's on the boring side for Kilian. Not worth the price or a full bottle, but I got a 10ml decant of this and I think that's enough. Performance is poor: projection was good in the beginning, but only lasts a few hours before fading into a skin scent.

I am loving this! It is what I wanted Liaisons Dangereuses to be. Fruit, but not sweet berries, with some spice and a warm vanilla base. I was surprised when I saw the negative reviews. Some people seem to look for dirt, grit and funk in a perfume and are disappointed in an offering that does not screech or scream. Does this fragrance depict "Forbidden Games"? Well, that depends upon your interpretation of said games. I really enjoy the "wearability" of this scent. It does not strike me as an average fruity floral, there is something more. A comfortable, fun scent with a certain je ne sais qois.... Edit: I mixed a little Cruel Intentions into a vial of this (I know, Calice would not be pleased). It added longevity, silage and a fabulous sandalwood base!

Genius perfumer pushes the overripe peach note to the very edge and creates the most delirious thing since.......what, dare I say Mitsouko??? There is something about the abstract swamping fruit note in this that is just intoxicating and utterly gorgeous and gives me hope that stunning frags can perhaps battle it out in the mass market. I remain quite puzzled as to why I love this....clearly the vague shampoo in a hot shower sensual feeling is deliberate and the persistence is long and very disquieting. The crystal eyed son of a Russian oligarch is waiting downstairs after we met at the ski lift and I guess I have to blind buy the last one in the series....umm city of sin...yeah

this is so pretty! i don't understand all the bad reviews, i've sampled this numerous times and i'm so in love with this perfume. it's sweet, without being that cloyingly hyper-realistic sweet (which i know some people dislike). this is juicy, sweet, feminine, seductive, everything i love!! perfectly ripened fruits, drizzled in honey with a dusting of cinnamon ontop. the warm honey-vanilla base makes this sooo delicious, i'd fall in love with anyone that wore this! the rose note too omg !! so jammy, pairs perfectly with the peach & honey note. so creamy and sexy, i cant wait to get a full bottle <3

I don't get all the bad reviews. It's the best perfume I've ever smelled in my entire life. It's not candy/sugar sweet, it is juicy. Ripe delicious fruits drizzled with honey. It is feminine, kind, seductive. Some people say it smells like J'adore, it's simply not true. Yes, it has the same softness, but that's where it ends. I've smelled almost every perfume under the sun recommended here to find a dupe for Forbidden Games as it's so expensive and I can't afford a full bottle. Nothing comes close. This scent would be my signature if it was within my budget.

my first kilian perfume and full bottle purchase ever. nothing smells like this at all. it is fruity and fresh and very sweet but not in a way that's sugary or too intense. the floral notes play so well with the peach note to the degree where you can't really discern which it which. i see a lot of other comments saying this is a clean peach, sure, but this is nothing like other clean peach scents you've ever smelled. i think this gets better over time and has amazing longevity. this fragrance has my heart

This is a very well blended fragrance,a combination of delicious fruits(not synthetic or sharp)soft florals,some spices in a warm honey-vanilla base Not a unique,strange scent but I love how it smells on me,it's delicious but not in a cake or candy way,it's a dessert made by honeyed,spiced ripe fruits,florals stand quietly in background This sweet,creamy,yummy blend smells so sexy in a modern,youthful way Versatile,wearable and long-lasting ❤❤❤❤❤

Oh, how I love this! I hoarded my samples, time to get more. If I could afford a FB, this would be my signature frag. I feel the name is misleading...on me, it's young, fresh, totally innocent, without being overly sweet. It's a "my skin, only better" frag. Not at all typical of the current crop of fruity floral gourmands. Good sillage, great longevity, and just gets better and better throughout the day. My favorite!

After testing this scent over months, I decided to bite the bullet and buy it. I AM SO HAPPY! If I could become a fruit scent, it would be a peach. This is like a wonderful fruit salad on my skin, but in a yummy way, not strange. I'm just sorry I waited so long and don't have much time left to wear it before fall comes. I have something to look forward to next summer.

Love this one , to me forbidden games smells clean and creamy. Like a shampoo with an apple and peach note. I always get compliments when I wear it. Narcotic , creamy fruity , delicious. It’s quite long lasting and I prefer the dry down even more I get wiffs of clean skin with fruity undertones ,or it smells like shampooed fresh hair but better.

this was my first perfume of kilian this is the culprit that I became a faithful addict to his fragrances however it is not my favorite it's a well-made perfume that screams quality in its ingredients and I like it of projection and duration are moderate suitable for autumn and winter in the day very feminine and elegant

Just beautiful!!!!!! Sweet, fluffy delight. An angel falls in love with humans. A very interesting shining, fruity miracle. The composition is a unique interpretation of fulfilled love. The victory of the heart over intellect. The drydown is cool vanilla; the touch of an angel.

I did not love this at first but it has grown on me drastically. I love to wear this layered with Van Cleef & Arpels Bois Dore. Together they breathe life. So sexy and femme - I can't believe how good this is! Its the honey for me. It smells sticky and sweet. Love this one

A fruit plate of apple, peaches, and plums being covered in golden honey next to a Bouqet of roses. Sweet florals, sweet fruit, just sweet. It’s fresh, semi syrupy, and so good. A perfect sprint scent honestly.

I dont like By Killian since its been bought by Estee Lauder. I used to love this perfume so much - the only fruity sweet perfume I ever liked - but I don't support this brand any longer.

this is easily the best summer fragrance ever. safe blind buy, fruity, yummy...why does everybody show love to LDBS and not this? underrated.

Smells like a fruit dessert you'd find in an Asian market. Very youthful and whimsical fragrance. Better suited to the younger crowd.

Forbidden Games smells like freshly sliced fuji apples drizzled with honey along with a tiny lil' puff of peach baby powder with a hint of canned cranberry sauce. Not homemade cranberry sauce...CANNED. I was feeling down the other night so I took the wonderful sample of Forbidden Games given to me by the lovely and generous Kilian reps at Saks, and emptied half of it running around my bedroom spritzing FG in all directions. After returning to my bed, I thought, "Ahh... I have discovered the best use for Forbidden Games: Room Spray." Of course I don't have the money to use anything remotely expensive as room spray, but in a vacuum, Forbidden games would be my go-to in order to lift my spirits. On the subject of "spirits", wearing FG on my body is an entirely different story. I want this amazingly awesome room spray of a fragrance to lift me up and comfort me at the same time, but instead it falls flat. It does that sharp, "static shock up-your-nose" thing that some peachy fruity frags do, and I couldn't detect any complexity. as I said before: Flat. Similarly to how Flower of Immortality is a kind of super soft, fleeting and elusive "fragrance spirit", Forbidden Games also escapes me with it's nothing projection and disappointing longevity. I want the lady from the movie Poltergeist or perhaps the priest from The Exorcist to come and do a reading of me, to see if there has been any PERFUME ACTIVITY GOING ON UP IN HERE. They are professional (well, actors...), but in-character, they alone would be able to detect Forbidden Games on my skin after two hours, or hanging in the air in my bedroom... the morning after. Update: If applied generously to skin and clothing, this can last up to five hours and the projection is moderate in warmer temperatures . It's like a more tasteful sophisticated rendition of Chloe See by Chloe. Very girly and innocent.

Fruity, sweet, rosy, floral, fresh, powdery, feminine, sensual, seductive, romantic, sophisticated, classy, elegant, charming, whimsical, enchanting On me this opens with sweet peach, tart apple, juicy plum, just a sprinkle of cinnamon, and rich, velvety Bulgarian rose. As it begins drying down it smooths out as lush jasmine, sweet geranium, and powdery vanilla join the other fruits and florals. Once it’s dried down it becomes sweeter and even more smooth as the rich honey joins the notes, and the powdery vanilla becomes more prominent. The rose stays prominent, but softens, and the geranium also remains prominent. The notes that are most prominent on me are the peach, rose, geranium, vanilla, and honey. I’ve never typically been a big fan of rose perfumes, although there are a few exceptions... JPG Classique (OG lace corset bottle), Chloe Love Story, and Chloe EDP. However, I can still see the beauty of this one. I particularly enjoy the honeyed aspect, like honey drizzled over fruits and petals. Also, the geranium is lovely here. I don’t know too many fragrances that have a prominent geranium note, but it’s such a beautiful, sweet, and delicate floral. I get exceptional performance with Forbidden Games. The longevity is fantastic, it lasts throughout the entire day, and I can still smell it the next morning. The projection is great, it radiates out several feet from me with just 1–2 sprays.

This fragrance is one of my absolute favourite scents. I won’t lie I’m usually not a peach scent lover but t this grew on me over the few weeks iv owned it ( I’m a notorious blind buyer) so when I got it I’d not looked at the notes or anything! After the first spray I was like “meh its not all that” and I was quite underwhelmed if I’m honest, but I thought I would Give it more of a chance and start wearing it work because it’s a work were they scent it’s not too overpowering and I don’t have money that I could wear to work and not get sent home for, it took a few days for me to start liking it , I kept on getting these really nice whiffs every now and then. And then I started to realise that I like to drive down a lot more then the opening, And as much as it doesn’t have much depth to it the Fragrance gets More beautiful the longer that you wear it... in my experience anyway yeah this is probably more of a Spring Sun but it’s winter now and I’m wearing it and it’s beautiful! ( my mum who is also a very fussy person with perfume is absolutely adores this, and now wants me to get her a bottle for her birthday next month🎂🎁)!

I like Forbidden Games a lot, bordering on love. It is a beautiful scent to me. It certainly smells like an expensive shampoo on my skin, and I must say I am always on the lookout for a good, non-plastic yet candy peach (think Love Spell without the odd plasticky undertone). I like the peach note and the cinnamon/oriental blend, and wonder if it is similar to Lancome Tresor and Dior Dolce Vita (I never tried them). I always liked the idea of a spicy cinnamon peach in those gorgeous bottles. Of course Kilian has its own elegant collection of carved bottles, and I am writing about a sample vial. Forbidden Games is very soft in projection IMO, with the loudest notes in the following order: peachy tones, oriental notes, and a floral touch. It doesn't smell like Dior J'Adore at all to me, as J'Adore is nice but smells like a literal Bouquet of flowers to me. ETA: The drydown of D&G's The One EDP reminds me so much of this Kilian. D&G kind of reminds me of baby shampoo on first blast, meanwhile Kilian remains pleasant to me throughout.

Ok this is a fairly decent fruity/floral scent but agreed least fav. of the 3...it has something in there that's kinda harsh && burns my nose a bit. On my skin I deff. pick up the fruitier notes on first spray the peach && apple really shine through that lasts for about 5 min then the florals emerge && then it becomes a combo of jasmine peach apple && rose which yeah sounds like an interesting mix but it's really just eh to me...maybe if agreed the plum shined a bit more to it would help add to it...I really didn't detect any vanilla for like the first hour...only as it dried down more could I faintly pick it up it's like a creeper vanilla that just lurks a bit then comes out of no where, It projects fairly well I can deff. smell it each time I move my hand && I only did one spray, but I do also detect a synthetic-ness to it this should not be burning my nose like it does...any how yes it's a relatively nice scent is it worth 245?!..NO! agreed there are better more inexpensive fruity florals. :)

To my nose Forbidden Games is a good scent that quickly goes bad. On paper it looks like something I would like, and in the opening I really do: the fruity aspects complement the powdery sweet floral and mild gourmand ones very nicely in this phase, and the result is a happy fragrance that smells a little like peach candy (or even sparkling peach wine), but in a good way, not synthetic or cheap. Unfortunately, that delicious hint of tartness quickly wears off, and what's left is a slightly musty floral scent with a halfhearted gourmand aspect does more bad than good (because it definitely doesn't smell good enough to eat anymore). All in all this is another By Kylian scent I'm only moderately impressed by - I'm not sure if I would have found it worth the ridiculously high price even if that very nice opening held its promise, and seeing how that's not the case I'll certainly leave it behind without regrets (albeit with an increased desire to find a great peach scent).

First Impression - Spring: I'd been wanting this fragrance, based on the notes, for a while. I contacted the Kilian representative at Neiman Marcus and she sent me one ---- I was in love. As soon as it became available, I bought the full-sized bottle and I have no regrets. It's light, fresh and perfect for the warm weather months. I've always been a lover of dense, heavy fragrances, but I now own several from the Kilian line (Bamboo Harmony, Moonlight In Heaven and now Forbidden Games) that are the complete opposite and I am happy with each one. Second Impression - Winter: This is my second review for this fragrance. I received it and wore in the the Spring months. I absolutely loved it. While browsing the Killian site, I saw this was listed as a Winter fragrance. Since it's cold out today, I decided to give it a try. This is even better in the colder weather. The opening peach note is more tempered and the entire fragrance is a balanced fruity joy.

I tested it without knowing the notes, and initially I thought the bubblegum effect was given by a small dose of tuberose, but it looks like the only white flower is jasmine. Not just the first phase is sweet - fruity, like a REAL chewing gum, but its entire evolution is marked by this ultra-feminine, fruity but slightly artificial smell. I have never tested a perfume that reproduces so well this smell, so dear to my childhood. I like it, but I think it would be hard to wear it in any situation, plus the price is quite inaccessible. I will continue to try other fragrances By Kilian, my favorite being Love❤️ Edit: I really, really like it! And it projects well.

I find this to be a clean fragrance, but I do find it to work better for me in the winter than it has done in the warmer weather months. When all this in the summer it came off as very Soapy and little bit screechy on my skin.... However, I did wear this at some point in the week, and honestly, the plum really stood out to me and also the peach. Are usually like scents that have a lot more depth to them, so I can honestly say this or not be a regular go to, however I do like it and it’s always good to switch things up. I personally don’t feel this would not be a safe blind buy and I would recommend testing properly before buying

This is definitely an attractive perfume, no doubt. I received many compliments wearing it. It's purely fruit, sweetness, some creamy vanilla tones... For me, it seems beautiful, but it is not what interests me in a fragrance. And it's not what I enjoy smelling like. For those who love to smell like sweet, tropical fruit, this is a very well balanced, mildly complex without complicating, smooth fragrance. I think this is a gourmand that wanted to be appealing to people who don't typically like gourmand, so interpret that how you will. 7.5/10

I find nothing Forbidden about this fragrance, quite the opposite - but it's definitely a playful one. It's simple, nice and easy, fruity and sweet. Longevity is good, sillage is moderate, which is a good thing because a fragrance like this shouldn't be radiating too far I think. Undoubtedly a spring/summer day scent - wear it with more casual clothes, when you want to feel young, light and happy. The Bulgarian rose was a very good surprise which makes this one interesting and wearable to me. :)

A fresh, simple but complex perfume. When comparing to other fresh, citrusy, fruity perfumes, like the ones from the Aqua Alegoria line, this one definitely has something more complex about it. Also, I don’t get the peach at all, mostly green apple, but not a very sweet one. Overall, it’s pretty good, I actually did really like it at first and I even considered buying it, but then, after comparing it to other cheaper fresh-fruity perfumes I realised that I like those more!

I was given a sample by a very kind shop assistant and I have to admit I like the fragrance- it sweet and charming ans has a hint of complexity. However would never buy this as it does not stay for very long. After 2 hours it is so faint I can only smell it by sticking my nose to my skin. For the price I expect the perfume to stay put and have people in my immediate vicinity to complement me on my smell- neither of which will happen with this perfume.

got to smell this today and i was surprised by the way there was a very yummy joghurt-like accord on the initial spray!! opened up deliciously gourmand (even though i think peach doesnt hold well in perfumes) and sets with feminine florals with an almost aquatic note. personally i wouldnt go for a fruity-floral perfume but i think i would like to smell it on a gorgeous woman passing by ;)

So smooth and subtle- I would be happy to smell like this forever. I have a hard time discerning any particular one note- mildly sweet and soapy peach- but I’m still really enjoying this. A bit of a fruity wet wipe vibe but in an addictive way? I do get the comparison to jadore but find this a bit softer and cleaner in the summer. Leans closer to jadore in cold weather.

To me this is Yum Yum Yum!!! I dont get put off by sweet, gourmand fragrances, this is right up there now with my favorites. Its creamy, sweet whipped cream on warm apricots, peaches, plums, apple, dash of vanilla! The florals take a back seat, but they are there so softly perfect Rose. Let it settle on your skin, let it warm up, gormand lovers will be happy!

I love this! I’m not typically a fan of florals (especially rose) but I think the gourmand fruit in this really shines and the florals are secondary. This smells like a picnic on a sunny summer day with your best girlfriends eating juicy peaches and fresh fruit salad drizzled with honey. It’s bright, young and sweet. Definitely a keeper for me!

The original version of this was almost identical to After Sunset. I enjoyed the smell but it just wasn’t complete IMO. It has an original scent profile that I liked but didn’t love. However, the 2026 profile of this....wow. The added a sweetness to it that rounded it out perfectly.

I wish the plum could be more bold ... For me it smells like green bamboo sticks on the beginning, and then it develops to some gourmand biscotti. Lasting power is poor, on my wrist just 1,5 hour!

I get a peach punch right in the face when this fragrance opens up. It's sweet fruity girly and very likeable. If you like fruity-floral peachy-apricot designer frags, you'll like this one too.

Forbidden Games strikes me as inspired by J'adore based on its composition. I smell peach and watermelon fruitiness before the white florals. Unfortunately, it did not suit me for wearing.

Plum, peach and slightly spicy rose. The only way rose is any good in a perfume in my opinion! Very nice

Luxury shampoo vibes! The perfect "meet the parents" scent. Light, floral, fruity, and clean.

I'm not sure why I liked this perfume. It's ordinary, okay, but I wouldn't recognised it.
