Light My Fire

Light My Fire was not what I was expecting based on what I read in reviews. Some reviews would have me think that this was a dirty tobacco that was so bad it was a scrubber. I believe it is quite the opposite. This is a clean, fresh tobacco, perfect for someone prim and proper. This is not a heavy tobacco, and it is certainly not a dirty tobacco. It's a day time fragrance, perfect for Spring and Fall. The opening gives off a blast of fresh, green tobacco reminiscent of Santa Maria Novella's Tabacco Toscano. No, it is not the same, but it gives me the same fresh tobacco vibe. It is more herbal than smokey. I would say it is as much a hay fragrance as it is tobacco; sprinkled with a touch of honey, all on top of a soft base of patchouli, vetiver, and cumin. I don't find this to be a sweet fragrance as the listed main accord of "Sweet" would suggest. In fact, I find the vanilla to be hardly noticeable. In the mid, the soft, fresh patchouli becomes more prominent. I can see the comparisons to Chergui, but Light My Fire is more masculine and is dry--not powdery. If you lean feminine, then Chergui is probably a better option. However, if you find Chergui to be too feminine, then you may prefer Light My Fire. If you want a fresh green tobacco that is wearable in the day time, then Light My Fire may suit your fancy. It's up there with Tobacco Toscano as my favorite fresh tobacco scents. It is equally wearable at night, it's just that the performance is unfortunately quite soft.

Light My Fire is a By Killian fragrance that is not too pretentious to evoke sweet, earthy and dirty nuances in a sexy unwashed kind of way. Its not a fragrance for someone prim and uptight. Its quite bohemian with an artsy syrupy-green and dirty anamalic tobacco vibe. This is a fragrance that bellows with outdoorsy country confidence, while at the same time conveying the sophisticated complexity of an upscale niche perfumery. This fragrance is wonderfully damp for the Fall and early Winter seasons For other seasons, it is best featured when worn outdoors. This fragrance will grow on you over time and should get extra attention for its natural tobacco dry-down note -- and for not quite smelling like anything else. Light My Fire is not a linear fragrance, it does shift in emphasis and character both pleasantly and intriguingly over the course of a wearing. This is not the kind of fragrance that requites many sprays, as its silage projects strongly and is best appreciated when presented in smaller doses. Im quite impressed with this fragrance's performance and makeup. It aptly conveys the brooding wildness of a sophisticated, but still irrepressible creative. Cinematically, it will conjure up Brad Pitt's "Tristan" in "Legends of the Fall".

This smells like the first 5 to 10 seconds after you light a fire. It's fire without the smoke initially. I get a boozy light lighter fluid, honey, tobacco, cumin, hay, patchouli, tonka, and birtch mainly. with a hint vanilla. The hay note is off the charts good. The cumin gives it a little bit of dirty funk classic/vintage mens cologne vibes. Sillage is very strong; this pushes well off my skin and fills up a room. Longevity is about 5 hours before it's a skin scent, which is crazy considering the massive projection. Summary: Light My Fire is a winner and really does smell like a freshly lit fire. It's a little challenging but suprisingly gets TONS of compliments when I wear it. This one lives fast and dies young,. The projection is monster, but longevity isn't. Quickly becoming one of my favorite from the house, I bought a bottle and wear it out at night regularly. Scent 9/10 Performance 7/10

I have several of By Kilian perfumes,mostly the woody scents. If you like Cruel Intentions, Straight to Heaven or Incense Oud, I would imagine this would be a winner for you. I am not a perfume expert, but I like this scent from beginning to end. Sometimes, I have to wait for the middle notes in each of my By Kilian scents before I love the smell, but this one is easy to love in all stages. To me, it is a dry scent and can be worn day or night. On me, it lasts 5 to 6 hours on my skin and a couple hours longer on my clothes. The compliments I receive include, " you smell great but I do not recognize the scent " or " your perfume smells slightly masculine but great on you" or " You smell expensive!" This is definitely a fall/winter scent. It is worth sampling.

as someone who owns so many fragrances and has such a large range of what I like, I never imagined I’d have a signature scent, but here I am I’m reviewing this again as I’m wearing it today, and this perfume makes me so so happy I have no other words aside from my original review two years ago, as it’s the same beautiful honeyed tobacco and smoky hay it smells so cozy and sexy and amazing, and despite being a 28 year old woman, I feel larger than life wearing this definitely not a crowd pleaser, and it’s the biggest shame that it has been discontinued I’ll cherish my little bottle until the day I die :,)

One of his many, where it feels like this was made like a fine liquor. It has a deep rich aroma which i love. Everything has already been said about the notes, the one thing's that's left for me to add is how relaxing it makes me feel before bed. By Kilian always has a bit of magic in his fragrances. Its like every nite is Halloween but not overtly, not in like in a campy or gothic type of way. It's not like a vampire. His fragrances remind me of an elegant Halloween. It is my favorite time of year after all, Elvira and all. (Tho I would hardly call Elvira elegant

Really interesting frag IMHO. Not my cup of tea as it’s too sweet for me, but I was ready for this and got only a decant. It’s deep and rich. Sounds like dancing in the night club. Almond’s not creamy or extremely nutty, but bold and slightly softens the whole composition. I really love how honey mixes with hay (need to find something else with similar notes, for sure!). Tobacco is so ethereal here, I guess it’s even sweet. Birch notes are perfect - I can clearly detect it in the whole art scene of this beautiful frag. Such a great aesthetic peace of art!

Very nice on my skin. Not THAT long lasting but then again, Killian never became famous for the performance. 4 hours in and it is more or less a skin scent but it can be a good thing. I personally like the opening and the first 30 minutes the most and since the base notes doesn't stay that pronounced after with time as well you can apply more than once without worrying too much about buildup. Really cozy fragrance!

update: I LAYERED THIS WITH GRAND SOIR AND NOW I SMELL EVEN MORE LIKE A DILF I LOVE THIS EVEN MORE dilf fragrance 1000% smoky barnyard hay with tobacco drenched in honey kinda reminds me of being at a county fair during early fall when it’s just starting to get cold a shame it’s so hard to find now but beyond grateful to have been able to get my hands on it

I love this frag. The hay is pronounced in the opening. I love the smell, very pleasant. I do not think original though as I have smelled others high end, and low end that have similar notes. Something about this one takes me back to the 1990's fasion. Not sure why.

I love this one too. I am sad to hear it has been discontinued; that is according to Luckyscent.com This scent is so unique. I really like the hay note making it not too sweet. It is so cozy and sexy at the same time. Great for snuggling in the cooler weather!

Strong dry tobacco woody scent with almost no sweetness despite honey being listed. Something boozy opened the scent up but is not listed. A rather well balanced masculine lean perfume. Love it but love Back to Black more. Don’t see the semblance btw.

I was missing my Fire waiting for summer time ... and now I can Light it ... For me it's all about hay; sure you can notice patchouli, honey and tobacco but hay is just dominating; End of Summer captured in the bottle. And drydown is to die for )))

Brilliant! Reminds me of Guerlain's exquisite Tonka Imperiale with a little bit of a hay note. Four out of five stars. A must try for tobacco lovers. Slightly masculine fragrance but would love to smell this on a woman. Yum!

Another masterpiece by Kilian. Beautiful scent with solid performance. I love it more than my Naxos now. It's more unique more and emotional.

This is pure class. As a 50-year-old man, this makes me feel 10 feet tall.

You go for a civilised drink and chat with a friend in a low-key but upmarket gentleman's club. There is an agreeable whiff of mild, aged whisky, the warm aura from the embers and wood on the open fire, a hint of hay, some honey, and gorgeously soft and conciliatory, light, slightly damp tobacco. It's all very warm and welcoming and classy. You are lulled further into complacency by the absence of any jarring notes of loudness or modernity; nobody in here's jabbering about software or social media or weird new biotech. It's like a load of other great places you've been before - a smidgen of Chergui, a dash of Fumerie Turque, a hint of Putman L'Original. But after an hour or so the drinks get weaker and weaker and the ambience dispels itself all too fast and before you know it, you've been kicked out brusquely and given a bill for £120. That's what Light My Fire does to me, anyway. It's much more than pleasant; this is tobacco refined to within an inch of its life, playing up only the sweeter, blonder, more inoffensive notes; none of the rest goes urinous or at all obnoxious on me. True unisex, and if you can live with the quiet sillage, overall longevity really isn't bad; hangs on to skin for upwards of 7h. Fireplace and woody scents are absolutely my happy space - so why doesn't this make me fall in love? I think it's just overall a bit tame and unambitious; neither distinctive enough nor luxe enough to really justify its existence. If anyone gave me a bottle of this I'd be amazed by their generosity and wear it happily. But sadly nothing about it makes me want to seek it out. Expensive bullet ... DODGED!

This one has grown on me over the years. I use to be kinda ambivalent to it, and I would just randomly reach for my small decant I have of it and just wore it as whatever. But more and more I kinda started to enjoy it for what it is. Its one of the few fragrances that has a noticeable cumin note that is still enjoyable I think and not really off putting. Id describe it as something like a sticky, damp, slightly fizzy or perhaps even boozy tobacco, giving off a warm comforting aura. Maybe some tobacco with some sparkly sticky honey specs and vanilla. The fizzy aspect is interesting because as some others have said you know, it kinda actually like a beverage. And I can totally see the Dr.Pepper comparisons. I guess if they ever had a tobacco dr.pepper sorta mix this is it. I mean im smelling from the cap right now and if you were to tell me its supposed to be a ghetto kinda dr.pepper novelty scent I might even believe you. A perhaps silly association if you will, but it doesn't ruin it for me. I think if youre in the right mind set this is actually really nice. The opening few mins is a little dry, and perhaps a little leaning towards the potentially sweaty stanky kinda cumin, but it calms down really quick. And again you get this sorta, dr.pepper fizzy sticky, honey and vanilla tobacco aroma. Definitely a fragrance that wafts through the air nicely, although even up close as long as you don't take to strong of breaths in at first(in which case perhaps the stanky green hay aspect might be a bit more apparent)you got a pretty snuggly scent as well. Performance is decent.

Intensely smoky incense on opening, for me. Vetiver straight up and patchouli noticeable. The honey and vanilla are strong and I can detect the tobacco but I don't get hay. I keep thinking I can smell rose or jasmine, though they're not listed as notes. Smooth, rich, sweet and smoky. Within the first 20 minutes, it got super boozy and then very marzipan, and then gave a blast of cumin, which was interesting, but that's died down after a couple of hours. This is the first Kilian fragrance I've tested and I like it a lot. It would be lovely on a cold night, say Halloween, or an icy night in the middle of winter. Good sillage for a few hours Longevity is also really good for me - 8 hours and I can still smell it, though sillage dropped right back by now, which is to be expected. Most fragrances don't last on me more than three hours, apart from the ones I really don't like, which stick around for ages. I need to wear this a few times to form a better opinion of it, but I do really like it. It's just that it doesn't evoke any feeling in me. It sadly doesn't suit Horst Jankowski's version of Light My Fire, either..

At last one of these 'Addictive state of mind' collection that doesn't heavily resemble another fragrance. Intoxicated - Nuanced upmarket A*Men/Pure Coffee. Smoke for the soul - subtly modified KINSKI. To me with Light my fire I can see the back to black, Chergui and Lanvin Avant garde but this is different enough to all of them to be it's own thing. I really like the fact the honey isn't over done the opening is slightly sweet with it but the hay note and tobacco are full bodied enough to offset that. The cumin in here is not everyone's cup of tea but luckily I love it and again, when balanced against vanilla the spicing is perfect. I did wear it on my skin and it smelled good lasting fairly well but I also sprayed it on a card to remind me of the scent several days later and it has a very faint woody/tobacco/cumin smell now. All in all this is a good perfume and perhaps by default my favourite. Still the performance leaves a bit to be desired considering the premium price.

Light My Fire is the perfect name for such a warming and intoxicating scent. I’ve come to realise that Kilian are very good at walking that line between sexy, and cosy - this does both brilliantly. It’s a sort of dark, earthy tobacco scent done remarkably well. The tobacco is incredibly dry, papery and almost vegetal, I suppose elevated by hay to dry it out even more until it becomes slightly grassy. This grassiness lends itself to a dark and earthy nature through the addition of hefty amounts of patchouli, alongside vetiver and birch. There’s a touch of honeyed sweetness and vanilla, but this is subtle. The patchouli in here reminds me slightly of Straight to Heaven, which I love. However this does take it into a new direction with the sweet tobacco and honey notes. I think this is fantastic, it just smells warming and alluring - I don’t love it as much as Straight to Heaven though, which I adore.

Light My Fire By Kilian strikes the odd balance of calling to mind the spicy, smoky ignition of a fire while simultaneously being a bright, sweet tobacco scent in its own right. I get some of the green notes mainly at the top, and it settles into more of a sweet tobacco in the heart and dry down. I don't get a strictly vanilla sweetness, which makes sense, with honey as a listed note. The spiciness is a combination of the patchouli, vetiver, and most all, cumin. An interesting mix for sure, as it's unoffensive in that's neither too spicy nor too herby/vegetable-like. A nice balance is struck among he various accords. This isn't a top performer, being moderate in terms of projection and longevity, and thus more difficult to fathom at the typical By Kilian price ($260 for 50ml). Still, an interesting scent and interpretation of sweet tobacco genre. 7 out of 10

The best of the new lineup of three from prodigious perfumery by kilian. I have a love/hate (well, I wouldn't say hate...more mild dislike) thing with kilian insofar as I love his fumes, but hate the prices and generally speaking, the performance that you get for said prices. That being said, this one is an above average entry for the house in performance. It floats around you in a smokey/sweet halo for several hours and projects nicely. Leaves a trail that even Hansel and Gretel could folllow. Rich honeyed tobacco sitting on oven warmed hay and an almost marzipan like flavor that floods the head with every sniff. I wouldn't spend the money on this for a full bottle, though, and will just have to have a brief love affair with my 7.5 ml sample. Scent 8/10 Projection 7/10 Fortitude 7/10

Opens boozy and dry, like a quality rum and the sweetness of honey starts to arrive as it warms on your skin. The further it dries the earthy aspects come through from the patchouli, and the hay and honey mix with the tobacco that starts to show up stronger. It's a masculine tobacco I'd say, but not anywhere close the uber masculine tones of Tobacco Oud, this is sweeter and softer with no overt animalic tones. This is a very nice scent, but I hesitated to get a bottle and I think I will continue to do so, and just finish my small decant. It's too soft on projection, you have to get your nose close to really smell this one. I do like my fragrances to have subtlety but this is closer to faint than subtle. A shame because the scent is really good.

As there is a pyramid here, I feel some notes to alternate, but a few minutes after being sprayed, I feel fine outstanding tobacco, honey, hay and cumin. It's very linear, the scent does not change too much, but I think the highlight of this perfume will all for cumin, which plays a major role good. For a few moments I caught one chocolatey vibe in it, but go away pretty fast. The cumin assumes forward and leaves the other notes in the background but perceptible in the background, making a dense, well even oriental, warm base and cumin really is the boss here, and it continues for the rest of the fragrance. If you do not enjoy the smell of cumin, move away from that here. I particularly liked a lot.

Light my Fire on me is a fresh woody tobacco with a vetiver base. There is a bit of sweetness to it but a dirty (patchouli) earth scent seems to dominate the sweetness. Imagine a flavored cigar smoked, place in sugared water and then smell the smoke ... "Light my Fire." Ok, I tried! With four sprays it project very strong for about an hour then it sits closed to the skin in a good way. The herbal patchouli dry down it kinda of musky ... in a good way!

Green hay vanilla custard not dryed tobacco leef with a hint of sweetness and some cosmetic powderiness, the big almondy vanilla base accord become almost dominant after 10min. The overall effect is nice but simple, a bit monodimentional, like a good scented candle or maybe it's a reformulation because it seems that my refill bottle is pretty new and what i smell is really light and absolutly not anymore the huge birch tar smoke/dirty patchouli or even dry tobacco that you will read as the main notes in all the reviews below (all that have been almost forbiden in skin products by the european legislation around 2018) . So carefull ! if you have a sample it's surely not what you will have if you buy the actual formulation perfume. Like most of the pseudo luxe brands the formule is not re-worked but diluted at the fabrication to avoid any cost and of course who are you stupid customer who only pay 250€ a bottle of perfume to be informed of what exactly you buy. It seems Kilian is really at the pinacle of the "luxuous niche black-gold bottle" perfum scam industry. Except that the perfume is nice, a good sweet aromatic

I have bought a sample first online and scent loved so much...it was what I was looking for. Sillage was great and performance as well. Then I purchased refill of this from official killian store, but what a shame. I disappointed, it has very weak performance and projections to, both my purchases are different . I don’t understand why...who can explain me?

Does anyone know if Kilian has another fragrance in which tobacco, smoke and rum or liqueur are more outspoken?

I received the "addictive state of mind" trial size trio ( By accident, I was sent the wrong one when I made my order) but tried them anyways.....I had never heard of designer Kilian. I sprayed this on me last night and I was thinking hm, that's interesting, I can smell the unique blends of spices and within an hour BAM! All that was left on me was the HONEY and VANILLA notes.....I happen to hate almost every fragrance with VANILLA in it...I automatically feel like I"m wearing frosting.....now don't get me wrong, it smells like an exquisite HONEY and VANILLA......So as this scent is beginning to annoy me, I look up Kilian and his fragrances....OMG!!!! 170-270$$$$ NO WAY did I expect that for the way this smells.......not good for me folks....

This was a disappointment... for the first time my interest in niche fragrances wavered a little because this is a "generic" niche fragrance, so to speak. Chergui, Musc Ravageur, even Hard Leather come to mind, but they all have a certain something, an added quality that makes them so much more interesting than Light My Fire. What it smells like: A boozy honey/hay/tobacco combo, very nice opening, passing a dirty vanilla stage and turning very quickly into a drydown similar to Musc Ravageur - old man ́s cologne with baby powder and urine overtones. As usual when I pair Kilian fragrances with my skin - longevity 3-4 hours, sillage - next to none. Meh.

Opens with sharp tobacco, hay, vetiver. Very strong and pungent. Then.... CUMIN! Whoa! Nothing but cumin with a pungent base! Had to scrub it off. Does not comply with my skin chemistry! Ambroxan usually does that.. I can still smell it on my skin after scrubbing. I wish they wouldn't put it in every other perfume!

Smelling this from a sample made me pull out Chergui for a direct comparison, Its not even funny how much better Chergui is in every single metric I can think of. This doesn't even deserve the same shelf space much less 4.5x the price asked. Is By Killian an elaborate prank?

Don't like this at all. I love tobacco scents but to me this smells like a pack of cigarettes. I love Back To Black so I was hoping this would be similar, but maybe a little less sweet. Very disappointed.

When i was kid, we had a old couch. The smell is the same. I dont get it, really, a big house with potencial release such fragance. It had nothing to do with tabacco, honey, green notes, cumin... Straight to heaven - Wonderful Black to black - Amazing Black Phantom - Great Intoxicated - Gougeous Sacred Wood - Wow, beautiful Light my fire - I prefer wear my dish soup Age: Above 50 Longevity: Eternal Sillage: Enormous I would buy: No Blindbuy: Of course not To resume: If you wanna smell something bad and old...it's right there Overall: 2/10

Light My Fire is a unisex fragrance from By Kilian released in 2014. The nose behind it is Sidonie Lancesseur who has done about half a dozen fragrances for Kilian, and also was the nose behind Lumiere Blanche by Olfactive Studios. I always like to read some of the advertising material around a fragrance, especially when you can tell that the nose is a real artist and took real, true inspiration from the words. (Unfortunately, I find the ad material on the designer end a little too sex-drugs-and-rock-and-roll-ish for my tastes.) Niche advert releases seem to really have pushed the nose in a unique direction. Here’s the description of Light My Fire: “Cigar leaves languorously unrolled and fantastically reconstructed to run smoke rings around the imagination, and the soft blue veil of the vapor musing on the loved one’s face to paraphrase Rudyard Kipling, imperial poet and aficionado of Cuban cigar smokes.” According to Fragrantica, the list of important notes is fairly sparse: cumin, hay, patchouli, vetiver, honey, vanilla, and tobacco. I think I pick up at least one or two other things (see below). Right off the top, you get a very, very sweet blast of honey and vanilla that reminds me of the fizz of a freshly opened soda. If you’re familiar with your synthetic aromachemicals, it smells like a heady dose of piperonal (a.k.a. heliotropin), which can often give the same sugary effect. In fact, someone on Fragrantica said that the opening smells like a Dr. Pepper, and I can definitely see where they’re coming from. However, as time wears on, the sweetness dies down a bit, and I’m left with a soft, spicy honeyed vetiver and tobacco accords. There also might be a ever-so-slight smokiness in the background. There frankly should be, considering this is one of the three fragrances from the “Addictive States of Mind” collection, which claims that it is “composed around narcotic smokes.” I’ve also tried “Intoxicated” from the same collection, and was let down when I didn’t even catch the faintest whiff of anything smoky or earthy. On my skin, it continues to develop almost as a soft, barely sweet leather. I really enjoyed it once the vanilla and/or honey and/or heliotropin begin to go away so you can get smell all the darker notes that I personally enjoy more. The longevity is just fine, with probably 6-7 hours on my skin and moderate projection. The problem with this fragrance, and I really do think that things like this should get more attention, is that the price is simply scandalous. The SRP for Light My Fire is $270 – for 50 ml. I’m sorry, but no. Just no. I realize they probably spare no expense in the composition, but wouldn’t it make more sense to charge half that and reach a market that’s more than twice as big, thereby increasing your profit margin? I certainly didn’t major in business, and I have no idea how much By Kilian makes in profit from a single bottle, but considering you can by a 50 ml. refill for merely $170, I’m guessing it’s quite a bit. I know this is a luxury product and not everyone is meant to afford it ... but there comes a point to where things start to get ridiculous. Simply because of the price, I would never, ever purchase a full bottle. Which is a shame, because it’s a lovely scent.

If you're a gal that has enough experience wearing different perfumes including fragrances that really smell more like men's colognes, this is for us. Light My Fire has a sweet honey and vanilla which smell like Dr Pepper or a malt, or root beer. I can see how some people can identify this scent as a root beer or Dr. Pepper soda but for me it's merely a delicious honeyed booze. The masculine side of this fragrance comes in the form of smoky tobacco leaves. If you're a guy who enjoys tobacco scents in colognes this is what you get here. It's a tobacco leaf. This also has hay and cumin which gives this a spiciness. For me the patchouli is what brings everything together. Green aromatic patchouli which has the smokiness as well as herbal body. The hay note is also matching up with the patchouli. So if you like what I've described, and you're into unisex tobacco scents, and would enjoy the additional ingredients of vanilla and honey, this is a sheer delight. I've enjoyed so many of the Kilian fragrances. It's worth splurging on. They are very unique and well composed fragrances with something for everyone. They feel mature and complex, and always give you something to think about and visualize. This makes me think of a rustic cottage where men are smoking tobacco and drinking a honey scented alcohol. It's not exactly Stetson by Coty but a more expensive version of it with stronger patchouli. It would suit a country boy or country gal, cowboy, cowgirl, Texan or someone who would even go as far as to wear a perfume while camping in the woods. It's a scent that would smell good next to a campfire. Come on baby light my fire!

I actually did a quick search for this gem recently and found exactly zero fakes on Ebay. So apparently things have changed dramatically since the reviewer below mentioned it? Rest assured, you can still find authentic bottles of this for a decent price (refill source). I've always been disappointed that Light My Fire never really took off with a bigger audience over the years. Disappointed, but not necessarily surprised. It's got a mustiness about it that always come across as vintage cellar-esque. And that might sound like I'm throwing shade, but oh no to the contrary. It's one of the aspects that I love most. Just like Straight To Heaven, cedar/vetiver/patch hold things down in the base, but the surrounding notes, and thus the entire journey, are far more intriguing here. Ultimately, at it's core, this is a honeyed-tobacco patchouli that goes in a lot less mass-appeal direction, but wow I'm absolutely here for it.

My initial impressions of Light My Fire are very good. Right away I get tobacco, which of course, isn't very surprising. It's not quite wet, but it's certainly not bone dry either. I can't attest to how authentic or inauthentic the note is, but to me it's a very pleasant rendition. After a few seconds, just a smidgen of spice is detectable. That has to be the cumin. For me, this didn't last too long. Now what I'm left with is just the tobacco again. It's not sweet at all to my nose, and I'm getting very little honey or vanilla. I can feel the hay in the background though. The scent overall does feel a bit dusty. I've only been wearing it for about ten minutes, so I'll let it develop some more and then return for an updated perspective. So far my rating is: 3 out of 5 stars, for smell alone. I feel like this is one that could grow on me.

Light My Fire (same song title by The Doors.) Light My Fire is a sweet, resinous, smoky scent. The honey & tobacco blend well & gives it a powdery "Back to Black" feel, also the vetiver is surrounding the composition to give it a herbal/smoky touch which makes for a sweet/smoky scent. This is great for night time use & for intimate moments. Sexy is the one word that came to mind when I sniffed this. I'm satisfied with this juice and over all makes for a special delight. This is one of my favorite Kilian's in a long time, perhaps my third favorite after "Back to Black" & "Straight to Heaven." Good stuff. The only down side to this is the body that it comes in, I feel as though the new bottles are not as detailed as the older Kilian bottles but in regards to the juice... It was love at first sniff.

By far the most wearable and appealing of this trio. This is a boozy, smoky affair with a pronounced cumin that never gets too sweaty. What dominates the scent is a vanilla and honey combination that sits politely against the tobacco and the herbs. This isn’t a Back to Black style honey though; it’s quite sheer and watery and fits the scent like a glove. It does, however, get sickly sweet after it starts to transition. It reminds me a little of Chergui, but Chergui is much more characterful and, frankly, far superior. Having said that, this is a perfectly cordial, ultra-safe fragrance that’ll be a smart business move for the company due to its mass appeal. Hilariously sweet, largely redundant with zero adventure, but that’s what sells these days. The "least terrible" of the “addictive” trio.

I like some frags by BK like Cruel Intentions & Pure Oud (and have Pure Oud). I got a sample from LuckyScent of this one and liked it at first. I always wear a scent twice (or more) just in case. After the 2nd wearing and really smelling how it developed, I no longer liked it. The middle to drydown to me smelled just like baby wipes, that baby powder smell that I really don't want to smell like. It isn't linear, which is interesting but the problem is that the middle to dry down is baby wipes. It's a bummer because I really liked the top notes and first 15 or so minutes but after about 30 minutes, yuck. I'll pass on this one.

Musky minty almond tonka I expected a completely different scent based on the notes, a birchy naturalistic green tobacco, but received something tender and mellow more akin to a slightly dewy green, almost minty, almond lotion with a hint of civet-like musk in the back, less so the sweaty cumin listed above, and more so a slightly minimally urinous musk undertone alla Goutal Musc Nomade. In case you are familiar with Van Cleef Bois d‘Amande, expect a similar vanillic almond concoction, counterbalanced by gentle green and musky facets adding up to the calmest tobacco fantasy you can imagine.

Light my fire has nothing to do with The Doors' homonyme song. It's a beautiful and very elegant skin scent. For me, the real star of this composition is patchouli. The opening is made by a dry hay-tobacco-honey accord - this is the ethereal phase -, then the perfume comes down to earth and you can feel the harmonious blend of vetiver, a creamy patchouli and a little cumin that sits very close to your skin. Very well done and balanced, like all Sidonie Lancesseur's creation. Want to feel like a king? This is a true royal fragrance.

Un semplice accordo tabacco/fieno erbaceo maschile che rapidamente schiarisce e impallidisce. Il profumo è piuttosto debole, il titolo è altisonante e pretestuoso. Un profumo che tende a spegnersi e non ad accendere. Dopo pochi minuti il tabacco trasforma la nota erbacea in una vaniglia tiepida, taciturna e generica, neutra. Dopo un'ora, dissolto. Ricorda un po' Blamage Nasomatto. Del trio Addictive, per me il più convincente resta Intoxicated, anche se, purtroppo, anche il suo incantesimo intossicante è di breve durata...

Light My Fire starts out dirty and sweaty due to cumin's presence, and these tobacco leaves and hay turn it green without veering heavy and syrupy. There's definitely a sharp, dry bite to this one. Honey and tingly patchouli become very dominant on my skin, and it's now balmy and slightly buttery. Finally, the end is sweet patchouli with sweaty leather and compact powder. *I went back to sniff it again after spraying once more, and it does have a Dr. Pepper smell to it, but only if it was spilled on an old leather chair.
