Rose Oud

I actually really like this and I have no regrets blind buying this at a discounter months back. It was my first time trying out rose oud and I’ve since tried a couple more. What I like about this fragrance on its own is that it doesn’t handle oud with vanilla like shagaf oud and our bouquet does. It’s fruitier, a very red fruity rose, a bit akin to velvet rose and oud but without the vanilla and a lot more effervescent. Now, I had recently acquired a sample of rose anonyme, since I heard so many rave reviews and I found some for cheap on eBay. I didn’t want to blind buy it, so the sample was quite fortunate. When I first sprayed it on, I liked it well enough but i found it similar to a perfume I couldn’t really put my finger on but ultimately let it be. When I wore Rose Oud again, the scent memory fell into place. And I much prefer rose oud than rose anonyme, not that it’s better scent wise but because of how the scents end up being the same fragrance to my nose but focusing on different aspects of the formula. Rose Oud is the jammy, rich concoction before getting sun-dried into Rose Anonyme. Rose Oud is denser on the fruity-floral element. It’s juicier on my skin and brighter. Rose Anonyme acts drier and w-oudier, focusing on the woody oud while desiccating the fruity rose along the periphery. I don’t mind woods but they have never developed on my skin the way I like. It often comes across dull off of me, hence the driest I go for are powdery iris- and moss-based combos at most but something squarely and decidedly woody hasn’t ever made me happy the way other stuff tend to. I also like how Rose Oud is essentially rose uplifted by the oud, which comes off more effervescent and soda-like here, compared to Rose Anonyme where the western-style oud is being placed on top of a bushel of dried roses instead. It’s kind of those nuances that had thankfully deprogrammed me from buying Rose Anonyme, not that it isn’t beautiful to the right nose, but because I wouldn’t have used it anyway. Rose Oud just sits better in my skin, lingers in the air more invitingly, more genuinely.

I know a lot of people have an utter disdain for Killian first is the prices second is the packaging. I don't particularly like paying $200 for a fragrance but I do find the marketing of Killian to be tasteful if not impressive (the little key coffins are gorgeous and very elegant bottles). So with that said..... Ahhh Rose Oud, where to start? Rose Oud is a Rose fragrance. Unlike Rose 31 where Rose is sort of around, Rose Oud is Rose in its entirety. There is Oud there but for those who had Oud it wouldn't be a problem here because it is curtailed by the Rose, Saffron and rounded by the woods. What you have is a a green/sour rose with the subtle oud, then the saffron kicks in making it sweeter as the same time the rose sort of moves from the sour category and becomes red almost like a boquet and the oud turns almost to an incense type of vibe and what you are left with is a sweet rose/saffron with a hint of incense like oud (incense isn't in the notes) with maybe some slight woods. The longevity is superb and the projection is good. If you have tried Incense Oud this would be an 7.5 in projection after the first few hours while Incense would be a 10. Longevity is in the 10 hour range maybe longer but it is closer to the skin at around 7 hours. I have gotten a few compliments but nothing chart topping. Overall this is a sexy fragrance it leans a bit more towards the masculine side but a woman wearing this would be sooooo sexy (I like women in darker fragrances). The refill for this is quite reasonable so you don't have to break the bank but it is still relatively expensive (3.50/ML). If you like a subtle oud and a deep rose then this fragrance is definitely worth sampling. It works well with my chemistry and is one of three Kilians I own (Cruel Intentions and Sweet Redemption being the others). Kilian is my favorite house as I have given each fragrance I reviewed top notch ratings and this one is definitely a 5 star for me. I love Sweet Rose scents. Next I need him to make me a Rose/Amber/Vanilla scent and I would probably bathe in it :o)

Like most Kilian fragrances, they are of poor value if you care about is scent. However, they do put a lot of that money into the presentation of the fragrance. The presentation is absolutely stunning. For starters, there is no real oud in this. It's your standard synthetic imitation oud. Given the cost of the fragrance is a rather unforgivable sin. It needs to have real oud at an appreciable level. Granted, the lack of real oud in this makes the fragrance substantially more wearable. That said, I really do love this scent even though it's a relatively "by the book"/standard rose-oud combination with the signature sexy syrupy darkness one would expect from Kilian. There is a supporting body of the standard oriental spices. The burnt-sugar note gives it a slight smoky quality to it. But all in all, it is a shockingly simple fragrance that's rather linear that is great from start to finish. On my skin, I'll get about arms-length projection (pushing it for this fragrance) for about 2 hours. I'll get about 1-2 feet projection for another 2-3 hours. Then another 3-4 hours as a skin scent. On clothing, this will be rather prominent for days. This fragrances has me torn if I had to give it a rating. As I do really love the fragrance but it's of horrible value. It would be hard for me to rate the fragrance. This is easily a signature-scent worthy fragrance. Very solid performance. I would put it at a 9-10/10. But given the lack of real oud, the obscene cost, and it's a rose-oud in a vast ocean of rose-ouds: I would also rate it a 6-7/10. As it stands, it's hard to justify a reason for a frag-head to own this unless you love Kilian or rose-ouds AND get it for a steal.

I tend to be highly critical of anything in this price range. I also thought I had tired of oud combos in general. I also don't normally care much for "boozy". But all of that was out the window when I smelled Rose Oud. This is breathtaking rose "oud" perfection in my opinion (heavy on the rose and very light on the oud, but the star of the show is saffron). The dry down is so incredibly beautiful that it makes me almost want to clear out the rest of my collection. I completely agree with Eeyore III in every way (and others giving it the highest praise). This is a 10/10. While I would never pay $400 for it (or 50 mls of ANYTHING), especially an "oud" that does not contain any actual oud, I have purchased two bottles on Ebay along with numerous samples and travel sizes. I literally have a stockpile. I will buy the refills at $185 to save some as well. Rose Oud ages on my skin like a fine wine and the rose grows richer and sweeter and more "rosy" and beautiful with each passing hour. Loads of the most fantastic saffron, too. It lasts a solid 10 hours on me with only a tiny touch up spray needed to get me through the rest of the day. Longevity is incredible. Rose Oud is a stellar, stunning beauty. Captivating, addicting, lush, deep red boozy rose & saffron perfection with just a slight touch of an oud feel (but I don’t smell any actual oud)....Rose Oud transports me to another world. Makes my eyes roll back in my head. My favorite from the Arabian Nights collection and also my favorite from the entire by Kilian line (surpassed Back to Black, my previous favorite). Rose Oud is magnificent.

This review is for the new Red Bottle Rose Oud. First off, that bottle😍 It is absolutely stunning! Now, for the juice, let me say this: OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!!! This is Oud at its most wonderful, paired with Rose, Cinnamon, a very VERY slight sweetness, a tad of incense laced with a bit of leather. What a mesmerizing composition!! I am so freaking happy to have added this beauty to my collection! I have several Rose/Oud perfumes in my collection (as I am an overall Rose fragrance addict) but this one is a wonderful addition. I love how the Oud (its presence is quite prominent to my nose) brings such depth and yet delicious-ness to this fragrance. The Rose is also very much present but it is more of a supporting note (again, according to my nose). Then, the spices are wonderful and peppery and it’s all PERFECT for Winter! It gets very cold here, where I live, in the Winter (well, Fall and Spring are cold as well 😂) and Rose Oud sings, quite literally, in the cold weather. It seems to me that the sweetness gets enhanced a bit more when I smell my wrist outside in the snowy air. Longevity: eternal 12+ hours and days on clothes Sillage: an arms’ length and get ready for compliments! Price: yes. The price...it is a Kilian, it is quality perfumery but yes, at $265USD+tax, it is pricy and a risk as well especially if you end up hating it... My advice is to try to find a sample...but then again, being the fraghead that I am, I totally bought it blindly🙄 In any case, I still recommend getting a sample. As for me, this new addition is... Absolute happiness ❤️🖤❄️🪵🌹🔥✨✨✨

A SAFFRON ROSE Rouse Oud by Kilian is a spicy Arabian fresh rose oud perfume that has a warm woody, fuzzy feel to it. It's quite genius and takes a few applications on different times to fully appreciate it and figure it out, at least it did for me. It's all about rose, saffron and oud along with good spices like cinnamon ad cardamom ,both of which I love ! It has this fresh tart feel to it, like most good oud fragrances have. Sort of like a wet feel, dewy, walking through the woods type of smell after a hefty rain downfall. Or a rose garden after it had rained , Aromatic, fresh , tart rosy and soft spicy with a large dose of saffron and sprinkles of cinnamon with a leathery feel would sum up Rouse oud for me. The Kilian oud collection is an amazing line but extremely over prized if you asked me , or anyone else for that matter , I would own the entire line if it was more affordable. I often think of L'Artisans Saffron Troubant when I wear this , Rouse Oud is basically a more complex , fuzzier and thicker version in my opinion. Rouse Oud is more wine like, more complex and sort of reminds me of grape juice as well. Sweet? Sorry guys , not overly sweet to me more a sour ,fresh smell, like a walk In a rose garden after a rainfall. I like Christianne1 review, like a fine wine ,,,

Did I do something a little crazy? I did. And it paid off. I already own two Kilians that I adore, and when I learned of Rose Oud it was already discontinued. So I had a choice. A bottle or a REFILL. I couldn’t get a decant. Either way it was going to be a blind buy..... So I bought a refill bottle off a reputable seller and she arrived tthis evening. I decanted it into a gorgeous faux antique bottle . I know I’ll update again at some point but of course I couldn’t resist trying it out immediately. This rose perfume is what I always was imagining rose perfumes to smell like. Petals, wood, warmth, it’s masterfully blended and I can’t pick out a single scent that is dominatn over the others exept of course rose. No hint of soap. No green. Not dry rose, nor wilted, nor freshly picked. A rose with DEPTH. I’ll take a shower tomorrow morning and spray from scratch, but I don’t think I need another rose in my collection. This is perfection. Super sad it was discontinued honestly. It’s exquisite. Update: this is a shapeshifter! Yesterday I wore it outside in cool rainy weather, and it turned into a freshly cut rose. Starts with moderate silage , and turns into a long lasting intimate scent after a couple of hours that stays overnight. A real masterpiece.

This review is for the Red Bottle 🏮 This is an orgasm in a bottle IMO. One of the best rose oud combinations I've tried, and and my 2nd favorite from house of Kilian. Lush, fruity, and rich. There's a slight powdered finish that reminds me of a similar facet of rolling in love, although they share no other similarity, just that one facet. On my skin it 30% saffron, 40% rose/lychee, and 30% woods. Barely any oud here. It's unique from others because of the lychee, and woods (2 types of cedar) combo which smells INCREDIBLE . It's so well blended I wouldn't have guessed it has cinnamon because it smells wet and juicy. I don't get any leather from my bottle and hardly any cypriol. I only own one other rose oud from penhaligon's, but I would consider this is more gender neutral and better. I also own Gold Oud which is similar to this but less fruity and more oudy. This is much easier to wear and smells a bit better IMO. Longevity is outstanding, as is sillage. 9.9 only because it's slightly feminine, but I don't care - It's fantastic 🌹 -------------------------------------------------------- Scent 9.9/10 Performance 8.5/10

I just bought myself a bottle of By Kilian Rose Oud. Actually I must admit my intent was to buy Portrait of a Lady (Malle), since I was in search for a bold fleshy rose on a bed of woods and spice fragrance. Café Rose (Tom Ford) was another candidate but it did not convince me fully (I'm not very much into patchouli notes). I sniffed and tested all three of them on my skin and yes, Rose Oud was the deserving winner among the three. On my skin the opening is kind of sour and stingy, but in a few minutes the rose arises rounding the edges. Oud is like a throne here, where Rose is the queen, saffron her crown, guaiac wood her scepter. I'd say it's more of a cold season perfume. Longevity is outstanding. I can smell it even after taking a good shower at the end of the day. Sillage is heavy for the first couple of hours and then it retreats sitting closer to skin. I do not get much of a development but at the same time I wouldn't call it a simple/linear perfume. It has personality, you definitely can smell it (where, IMHO, Portrait of a Lady lacks some uniqueness and reminds me of other non peculiar scents).

Leathery rose is what I would call this not oud. I don't get any oud whatsoever but guess what? It's not a bad thing at all! In fact this is one of the best perfumes I've bought recently. And I received 2 compliments in one day so that's got to say something for this perfume. I think it works perfectly on my skin and with my body chemistry. The bad part is now I keep spraying my body over and over again because I'm addicted to the fragrance. It's quite amazing and I want to bathe in it. That's a little crazy! Don't you think? But overall this goes way up to the top of my Top 10 Favorite perfumes now list. It's classy, sexy, sophisticated, unique and man I'm so in love with rose perfumes lately I can't get enough of this! If you haven't smelled this go, get your nose on this beauty because It's quite amazing! Make friends with the sales associate so they'd give you a sample to take and home to try. Once you do you'll be addicted like me. Rose Oud lasts a while and projects very decently. I got two compliments in one day?? That's excellent. A+++++

Definitely every skin speaks its own personal idiom! I could agree with almost the majority of the reviewers as on the paper I perceive the same rose, saffron, oud, medicin .....and personally also a hint of lemon oil too, but on my wrist things change quite a lot and the beautiful rose is - here - so pleasantlly dominating! My reluctant skin happened to destroy true masterpieces simply opposing a strenuous resistance and consequently it managed to win the match on more than an occasion... but not in this case! It could be the perfect fragrance as it suits me very well. Rich - even though not a very complex fragrance - not impolite sillage also but not remarkable persistence (this is what I perceive) and perhaps this is the only 'black spot' in this fragrance that - on the contrary - I would have said very beautiful.

Longevity - 10/10(10+hours) Silage/projection -7/10(nice projection for the first 2-3 hours,silage also exist) Weather - winter,autumn,spring. Age - 24+ Compliments - 8/10 Scent - 9/10 Main notes according to me -oud,rose,saffron. The drydown is nice and i get some woodiness,powder,saffron and a little bit of sweetness. Emotions -sexi,date,passionate,romance,love,elegant,sensual. Occasion -date,romantic evening and night out. You'll get compliments with this one.

Picked this up today 60% off at Cosmetic Co. Store Black Friday sale. Wearing it now, it's a creamy rose oud, with a modern accord that isn't animalic or fecal in any way. The rose and saffron are prominent in the opening, leaning more floral than woody. After about 15-20 minutes, the oud accord shines through. An hour into it, it's a smooth creamy oud / Guaiac wood. Good stuff! This is a re-release by Kilian, and the new bottle has a deep red juice color, almost like red wine. It does not look like the Fragrantica stock art for Rose Oud.

Rose Oud By Kilian can't miss ever in my collection. This for me is my best in my winter's collection. I keep buying it when I finish. I can refill the bottle so I can save a lot of money.This is an other good thing in this high quality niche parfum . The sillage is enourmeous and I keep feeling it always all the day. People ask me what I have. Fell good. I have the bottle with Kilian's signature, he sign it in front of me in Roma Italy. He's a very handsome man.

One of my favorite rose oud combos, mainly due to its reliance on somewhat metallic, silvery incense. The rose is deep and somewhat jammy and the oud is definitely present and complemented beautifully by the aforementioned dry woody incense. Smells somewhat simple and linear and refreshing.

Rose Oud by kilian is a unique rose oud fragrance. If I was to describe it, I would say a creamy and jam-like rose fragrance. A unisex fragrance. Projection/sillage: projects up to a meter for 6-8 hours. Then it becomes a skin scent. It does not fill up the room and choke everyone.

I was sad to learn Kilian Rose Oud has been discontinued. Out of the many Kilian in my collection, this is one of the top ones that is always highly complimented. The longevity on clothes is incredible but not as much on skin. In the heat, this blooms lovely on my skin.

I find this to be a gentle, easy to wear, oud, and combined with the rose and saffron, a very lovely scent.It lasts for 12 hours on me and stays beautiful all that time. I, personally, do not find it too sweet. Of course, the price for a larger size is a problem.

Guiac cedar and oud mixed along with a strong Damask rose at the base that mingles with a little saffron to give it an aromatic depthy fragrant syrupy and delicious scent structure from beginning to end, a must have for rose lovers imo.

Hello Where's Mr.Oud ? I could only see you small amout . Rose oud are all about Rose , saffron and guaiac. Own the refil bottle. not worth for expensive luxury bottle. But yet Rose oud is one of my favorite from By Kilian.

From this I get heavy vetiver, rose, and oud. These are the only notes I can detect. Very nice, smoky, rose with a nice balance of semi-medicinal oud. Reminds me of a combination of Bonds New York Oud and Sycomore.

lovelly light oud. It is to my personal taste rose and oud - somehow light and deep at the same time. Airy. It is all about using purest natural ingredients - oud can not be replaced.

I got 5 ml today, I love it so much I feel so feminine fragrance and not like any oud & rose perfume no same thing here different like fresh and clean , again love it so much ♥️

What is the deal with the new red bottle rose oud? Is it the same formulation as the previous black bottle from arabian nights collection?

Beautifully made , ingredients mix very well together ! More towards femine side wouldn't like to smell this on a men ! One of my top 5

I got this with a heavy discount and mans it’s good. Very jammy rose complimented with the cinnamon makes it’s very appealing.

I love it. it's a magical potion. I wish I discovered it earlier and didn't overlook it.

Guys be very careful, there are lots of counterfeits of this fragrance floating around.

This perfume is a masterpiece of rose elegance!

By Kilian's Rose Oud is my first flirtation with either signature note in a By Kilian fragrance, and while a powerful composition, it's not especially deviant enough to merit special attention or true consideration. The note breakdown of rose, oud, saffron, and guaiac wood actually sums this fragrance up pretty tidily. It's only slightly sweet, from the guaiac wood, and only slightly bitter/sour, from the saffron, and is mostlly dominated by rose and oud. It opens with more rose, and closes with more oud. Its tartness give is it almost a citrus character all throughout its lifespan. Rose Oud is definitely in the higher-than-usual tier of pricing, at $395 for 50ml, so with an already-saturated market of niche rose, oud, and specifically rose/oud fragrances, its incomprehensible to stomach the cost, as all the better rose and/or oud fragrances I own are a better value, not to mention better compositions. Rose Oud definitely shouldn't be the basis for judging By Kilian, as most celebrate their boozy fragrances (at least on the men's side) above all others. Still, with strong projection and longevity, Rose Oud is a potentially worthy consideration for those with money to spend. An interesting but surely not a superlative rose oud. 7 out of 10

Reviewing the new red bottle. This is a gorgeous rose fragrance. It opens with a jammy, spicy rose top. Nothing especially new or innovative but it's a well-crafted rose scent with an underpinning of spices (not listed in the ingredients, surprisingly). The scent is all rose, all the time. I wouldn't even call this a rose-oud, honestly. This is more like a rose-rose. The spicy base moves it to more of a unisex offering. I put this in the same category as things like Rose 31 by Le Labo, Calligraphy Rose by Aramis, and La Fille de Berlin by Serge Lutens. I prefer Rose Oud to all of those (except maybe vintage Rose 31). There is a slight western oud base, but it's the western accord, not a funky note at all. The rose lives throughout this, though, and it's the dominant note. The red bottle fits the fragrance. Longevity is excellent at 8-10+ hours (and days on clothes) with good projection for a few hours. This is an 8/10 for me. It's truly beautiful but it's a bit simple. I paid $110 for this, and at that price, this beats the bricks off of any designer in the same price range. I'd add a quarter to half a point if price was part of my scoring. Nice scent.

Strong rose reminiscent of MFK silk mood. Very similar opening but kilian dries down To a more candied, darker version of rose than MFK. I guess I like this ok. I'm not one who likes a lot of sweetness in my perfumes and the opening of this screams "grandma's tea parties". Fortunatly the dry down brings forth a duskiness...an almost dry, light rose with a darker overtone of wood. That's when it shines forth for me. Not really my cup of tea, and I'm happy enough with a 7.5 ml sample. Wouldn't spend money on this one. Especially not kilians premium prices. Scent 6/10 Projection 8/10 Fortitude 8/10 Feb 17th 2015 Update: ok on further evaluation and another wearing, I have to say that this is the standout of the line. I'm still not a huge fan of flowery perfume, but this one really is more candied, dark rose than flowery rose. It's really a great scent and I might just have to make a purchase. Scent..an extra 2 for 8/10...this one whirls around you like a dervish as you walk around. I Saw several people turn there heads up and sniff like a dog smelling the air as I walked through town today.

The rose in By Kilian ROSE OUD is very pronounced, which makes this perfume feel rather feminine to me. There is also a strong saffron presence, so the first time I donned this composition I thought immediately of Bond no 9 NY OUD. However, when I re-tried the Bond earlier today, I discovered that the saffron was far more dominant than the rose in that composition. What I am not detecting a lot of in these rose-saffron-oud perfumes is the third member of the triad: oud. It may be that I am more sensitive to saffron than to oud, and so the oud note ends up being overwhelmed by the saffon. In any case, what's in a name? ROSE OUD is a beautiful perfume which blooms as a rose and dries down as a saffron rose. The rose abides through and through. I highly recommend this creation for testing by rose lovers. It may not give the oud-ies the fix they're looking for. To my nose, this is a floriental, not an oriental woody perfume. I suspect that ROSE OUD may be too feminine for some gents. I, on the other hand, would love to have a bottle.

Rose, oud, and litchi. The litchi is an interesting extension to the rose note, as it imparts an intense, almost screechy, hi-pitched, fruity facet. It blends into the rose, giving the impression of a sweet, playful, almost gourmand rose. Overall, Rose Oud is a smooth, elegant scent, with a litchi-imparted dash of playfulness. I have always characterized saffron as a smooth, savory spice that I associate with elegant sartorial settings. It combines well with Oud for a formal sartorial vibe, such as it does with Oud for Greatness by Initio. But saffron is not the "star of the show" as one of the AI pro's lists above. Its contributory. For me, the rose and litchi combo is the star of the show, heavily anchored by the Oud accord. The litchi addition counters the assertion that this is just another Rose-Oud or Rose-Oud-Saffron fragrance, and therefore unremarkable. All in all, pretty good.

this starts off with rose and what i perceive to be a saffron. it has a subtle spiciness that has a honeyed almost fruity sweetness. then it gets a smokiness to it that is really nice, and the rose calms down some-i am liking it better at this stage as it is not quite as fruity. it ends up reminding me of a sweet incense, and this is a subtler and less leathery oud than others i've experienced. i like both rose and oud and it's interesting to try different interpretations of the combination of both notes. this seems more rosy than oud-y but not rose in a traditional sense. i am having trouble describing it, but it's very luxurious and i find this scent very unisex. on the dry down it seems like primarily saffron and oud on me, still a sweet spiciness, but way less of the winey/fruity rose. pretty good experience for my first by kilian scent!

Starts off with a rose/saffron spiced-vanilla + OUD combo that's quite common, but here very well done. Almost a gourmand oud, along lines of Montale's White Aoud w/ the same harsh oud opening you have to become accustomed to. After maybe 30-45mins the vanilla/sweetness is replaced by the guaiac wood: skanky, dark, spiced goodness, hand in hand still with saffron. Rose is 2nd tier at this point but adds a necessary balance of tartness. Very pretty! Only I already have White Aoud for a gourmand saffron/nila/rose and Idole for the skanky tart woods of guaiac, so I don't think I'll puruse this one anytime soon. IF I didn't have those other 2 it might be love, though. [from sample, 10.15.14]

The first spritz is similar to JHAG Midnight Oud but as it quickly settles into the heart notes the Oud seems to disappear and the rose takes over to become a very sweet perfume indeed. To my nose this is much more feminine than most Ouds and I think it would smell too sweet on a man. My overall opinion of this is that it is a very beautiful and sweet perfume but it's not very heavy on the oud note. The fragrance remains fairly linear throughout the whole olfactory journey but the longevity is very average. Silage is good but the price tag on this fragrance is IMHO not worth it.

I’m quite surprised the vote on rose note lead the oud note cuz for me I only got the rose for the first minute or less then it was straight oud saffron combo. Don’t enjoy this at all. Edit. As I wore it, the rose note turned up every now and then at the most unexpected moments. Kinda interesting. I’m upping it to like. Edit. After twelve hrs, the skin spray was barely there but it was. As for the clothing spray, it was definitely still around and probably strong enough to stay around for at least a few more hours.

It opens deliciously rosy, boozy like cognac, soft leathery, perceptible oud: a sensual, passionate kiss! Then the scent morphs into something hard, coarse, harsh: a slap in the face! The metamorphosis spooked me. How can a perfume change that radically? After half an hour the scent settles to a masculine oud with roses and leather, the sweetness and booziness gone, the harshness fortunately too. Love at first sniff, but then rather strong dislike to end up with "would really like it on a man but a pass for me".

Not a love at first sniff, but now I really enjoy this. At first, the cinnamon note was throwing me off mixed with the rose. Then it dries down more herbal than rose. However, after wearing and testing it more, I really like it. It’s a complex fragrance to me, as a lot of Kilians are, but is so cozy and seductive. I kept getting whiffs all day wondering what smelled good, and realized it was me! Not sure if it’s full bottle worthy or not, but definitely try it because it may surprise you.

It is a linear oriental fragrance with densely sweet rose and oud. The oud scent is present but not too strong or repulsive to most people. I am not sure if real oud is used here but it is very realistic. I have a small collection of oud oils so I am familiar with the scent. The perfume is warm, beautiful and very long lasting, though not much of a development. Luckily I got a tester refill bottle at a decent price. Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady is more interesting to me.

sweet and sour.... fresh and heavy, simple yet complex.. the sweet rose and oud are quite dark and moody, with leathery and smoky undertones, but it's still a brightly feminine fragrance. it is also incredibly long lasting - 8 hours later still very strong. In terms of a fragrance as a whole - there are cheaper and better rose-oud combos are out there, so this is definitely not worth the price tag.

oh goodness, you can smell the depth of quality in the individual ingredients, but that rose is just TOO SWEET. cloyingly sweet, actually...it actually makes me a little queasy, which i know speaks more to myself than the scent itself, but oh goodness is it strong!!!

for me it is almost like 'silk mood' by kurkdjian. more concentrated rose (cloying). both are at around the same price, so for mine it's either but not both. that isolated oud note is nasty (and i mean good!), but still, can't separate the two...

Once the opening wears off, it smells similar to The Rose by Thameen to me. I feel that one has better longevity and projection. Personally, I would buy that.

This turns to a candied rose on me, very much a skin scent and while nice I cant justify paying the price for this.
