Some Like It Hot

By Kilian (or Kilian Paris as it is now called in their stores) has a long tradition of creating well-blended scents composed of very high quality ingredients. The range of this house's scents is wide and deep. This one is part of the Love series that contrasts sharply with the Dark series. The majority of the latter has long-lasting and powerful silage. The Russian Love series is far more moderate yet still lovely. The hazelnut, chocolate, Turkish rose, lichee are all identifiable in Some Like It Hot (one of the top 100 films ever made). I would imagine that some (maybe many) would think it too sweet, perhaps even cloying. Not me. I find that it's a scent that induces peaceful vibes around me. I would not wear this to impress. I wear it at home during Covid because it is timidly sensual and sensuous without trying to seduce. It calls to mind (and ear) some of the work of French EDM stars Fakear and Teho. I want to move to the music but not feel as if I am attending a rave. I encourage you to try a sample if you can find one.

It's a very sour rose and it's not for everybody. It's intense, slightly citrusy, a bit nutty but very straightforward, in your face, and blunt. This is not a soft or rounded rose, instead it's a rose suitable for evening only. This perfume is slightly too much for me, and I personally won't repurchase it. It's interesting, but I still prefer my Delina for intense roses, and Diptyque for delicate ones.

That’s definitely a perfumed version of Nutella with a bit of powderiness in the base. I like that it’s gourmand but not sugary sweet. I think it’s just a very well balanced patchouli scent, but a really beautiful one! IG: scent.guide

For me it is a sweet (but not overly) fragrance and I can only detect hazelnut and lychee. The rose is very timid but sometimes she comes alive, too. Edit: After wearing it more often I really start liking it as I also get blackcurrant and stinging nettles accords (but never too green and "stingy") IMO a really well done creation by Kilian! If you need help to acquire it (decants poss), pls LMK! As it is a typical Kilian, you won't get a sillage bomb but the staying power is quite okay. If you love the sweet Profumum's and you want to prevent to choke your environment this fragrance is maybe a good (and "silent") alternative.

Is it interesting? Yes Is it strange? Yes Is it bad? No I can't find the words to describe it. I thing it's safe for office, because hasn't big projection. Just me can feel it. It's not offensive. I expected smth different. I'd like if there was a more nuts. I can't feel any nuts, either any roses. But it's smooth, well blended and soft. I wish they last longer and I wish bigger projection and sillage. I have cold skin type and there are about 0 degrees outside at the moment. I'll try in warmer weather. But it's very unique for sure.

This is super interesting. It opens with an incredibly heavy cloud of hazelnuts, and stays that way for a while. After maybe an hour (still incredible projection) I start to feel the tart lychee. Maybe the slight powdery touch was the rose? It complimented the nuttiness of the hazelnuts. I don't think there's anything on the market that smells like this, very unique. I could see it being a signature scent. It's a little too nutty for me to wear often, so I'll stick with my decadent (and buy another when I'm done).

okay, this fragrance is quite polarizing to me. I like it, but people around me seem to LOVE it. Some say it is sweet, but to me it is quite bitter. I do not know how litchi smells, thus can not speak about it as a note. I don't get any nuttiness, maybe a bit, and rose somewhere waaaaay in the back call me crazy, but what I get with this is a one on one smell of chrysanthemums. Pure chrysanthemums. that is all

Opens with a blast of hazelnuts. Later on, all these notes combined on my skin give me a chocolate-flavored face powder. I don't pick up any lychee, rose here is very subtle, a little bit sour to my nose, and covered with a veil of sweet powder. It is a lovely scent that is very intimate yet projects quite well.

It's bit of a unique presentation by Kilian. Please be careful that it's not a crowd pleasing scent, nor it's suitable for office and work places. Wear it on a candle light dinner, or reading a book in solitude, or when star gazing with your loved one on the roof top. Cheerio! 😘

My coworker told me that I smell like newborn baby, Ike someone put Johnson and Johnson powder all over me. The next day, my roommate asked me why do I smell like bananas. C'mon guys !!! I really like this perfume. All I smelling is white chocolate. Very Yoummy!!!

Getting big time rose Berberanza vibes here. Nutty citrussy rosey chewy dessert you get on the marakkesh or sarajevo local market kinda vibes. Very unique, very emotive, exotic gourmands and rose lovers need to try it.

Came here for the nut notes, stayed for the flared base. Adding to list of bottles that look like sex toys. But I actually love lychee and hazelnut and really want to try this fragrance.

Starts with herbs like Hermes " something from the gardens ." Then there is a bright rose with chocolate. Very interesting!
