Sophie Matisse Art Edition Bamboo Harmony

If you have the opportunity to find the bottle again, it's worth it, I can say that it's unisex, the first 2 hours it's brutal and it can be more in the masculine area, then 4 hours it's unisex and in the last 3-4 hours I can say that it tends more towards feminine. The positive part about my PH is that with only 2 sprays I could feel it even after showering in the evening on the level of the skin like this, another plus the glass that looks superb and the impression even on its edge that it was handmade to be a work of art ( I still have the empty bottle as a memory because I think everything about it was a well-made work of art).

I own this and the original but Zoologist Panda / Wulong Cha are better than both. Just a "like" Worth the price at discounters and not retail.

Got this one in Montreal this past summer. Now this is fresh. Believe it or not, it does not feel synthetic to me, even though I'm sure parts of it are. So different than most of my "By Kilian's" in that it's "bright", not dark or sweet. With it came a printed description. Kilian states that the beautiful artist "Sophie Matisse", who designed the artwork on the bottle, imagined an explosion of colors when she first sniffed this aroma. (To gain inspiration for the bottles design.) The first blast of freshness to me is yellow & green, in that order. The citrus first, then the green garden-like sensation. Once the citrus top notes fade away, the "white" tea note appears. To me, the tea note & natural green sensation stay throughout the scents life cycle. The dry down to me is green & white. I find the citrus top notes disappear rather quickly. Which is totally fine because what's left makes you want to take deep breath's of the fresh air created by Bamboo Harmony. I find this fragrance to be light, with not a lot of silage, but good longevity- Even though the base notes thin out towards the end. You can smell the musk/oak moss at the end but it is light. Overall I love this scent. It's relaxing. It's worth a try if you are looking for something like this. I would say blind buy worthy. Tonight I will layer it with my Versace to add a bit more. (I have Versace in my head due to the Macy's competition.) This combination is perfect for me before bed. Yellow, White, & Green. Sadly, those are the only 3 colors my imagination is able to come up with. ;) (Maybe blue for the fresh air this creates, or from the Versace.-Although that's a stretch.) And that is why, I am not an artist.

Another art piece from Kilian I was just lucky enough to get my hands on, the Sophie Matisse Art Edition Bamboo Harmony. Sophie Mattisse is a longtime friend of monsieur Hennessy himself. She's well-known for her "BACK IN 5 MINUTES" series in which she cleverly subtracted people in those famous paintings like Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, The Ballet Class by Edgar Degas or Nighthawks by Edward Hopper and just showcase only the background of the masterpieces. How brilliant is that! "Matisse’s bottle designs, reflective of her great-grandfather Henri’s vividly hued cutouts, are just as vivacious. “The shapes and colors have a relationship between themselves that corresponds to the fragrances, it’s like a courtship” she says." And that said it all. It's a splash of freshness coming from the bergamot, bitter orange, neroli and then toned down a little by the white tea, mimosa, and a hint of some spices. I could sense some fig in here not just only fig leaf, as it feels quite juicy sweet on my skin when it dries down a bit. This gives me so much of a beach vibe. And on a hot/ humid day like this in Bangkok, I definitely could use some of this beautiful tropical freshness in a bottle to transport me back to the beach for sure.
