I looooove this oh man I wore this to work today and it made me happy

Tiger Rouge traces the legend of a fabled red tiger in Chinese lore, one associated with the element of fire. This "red" approach is omnipresent as one draws this perfume to their nose, as cherry and pimento pepper spark the senses. A flash of warmth and tingle of zesty blood orange, then its woody heart is revealed with fragrant oud, cypriol oil and simmering clove. After percolating with a bouquet garni of spice and aromatics, the unfurling trail is one of rose and sweet almond. Tiger Rouge may not be a literal illustration of this revered beast conjured in scent, but rather an echo of its legend... one seen through the hazy, diaphanous filter of time.

A fun spicy woody aromatic scent which reminds you of a cinnamon bomb candy confection. The scent opens with pepper and citruses and moves to a heart of cinnamon, cloves, vetiver and incense before settling into a powdery woody base of a Turkish Delight type of accord, cypriol and slight oud. The slight masculine leaning scent has moderate sillage and good longevity. It is a breezy wear in spite of many notes. Enjoy!

Successful rendition of the spicy/lemony black tea theme with complex notes and an undemanding buttery dry down. If The Noir or Winter Palace have you in a vice you can't escape, this one is worth trying.

Ashek Zubayer's recount of tale about the Rouge Tiger on the Byermia website helped me understand this fragrance better, but it’s not quite love that I feel for it. I do adore the sweet, bright, citrus opening. Sweet citrus in tiger-themed fragrances please me immensely. The kumquat in Zoologist’s Tiger is reminiscent of two glowing orange tiger eyes in the night jungle. Similarly, the blood orange and mandarin of Tiger Rouge is sweet, like hard boiled lemon sherbets and it’s no stretch to visualise the Tiger’s might but also his beauty. I wanted this citrus phase to last longer through the wear, but it faded too fast for my liking, within thirty minutes on my skin. The mid-phase was quite lovely. Soft spices, resins and Chinese oud/cypriol the latter of which is supposed to portray the tiger in captivity. Once rose arrived in the dry down, I was relieved that it was subtle. I don’t know why, but I just don’t seem to like rose in fragrance. A rose by any other name (peony, geranium) would smell as challenging! The addition of mineralic notes in the base (Hormuz inspired) has me stumped. I like it because it’s not what I was expecting. But at the same time, I dislike it... because it’s not what I was expecting. When I think of Middle-Eastern or Middle-Eastern inspired rose/oud fragrances, it’s often sweet and gummy vanillic resins that round off the composition, such as in Cairo by Penhaligon’s. I don’t like that per se, but it “fits”. Tiger Rouge’s mineralic notes felt too cold to match the rebirth described by Byermia. Maybe more like the rains before the rebirth? I wore it side by side with Zoologist’s Olm (the coolest, most mineralic fragrance I have) as a contrast, to help the sweeter base notes in Tiger Rouge stand out to my nose. Yes, there’s some voluptuousness from cherry and almond, but it is a fading roundness and the story ends before I can witness their full blossoming! Maybe that’s part of the charm of Tiger Rouge. I will need to wear it more to comprehend.

I was skeptical when first saw this fragrance, I thought "Ugh, Paprika and Pimento, I dont want this to be another one of those garden-aromatic scents". But oh boy I was so wrong. One of my friends actually encouraged me to buy this as he said its amazing, so I said why not go for it, and it was one of the best decisions ever. The fragrance itself is very intriguing, like I've never smelled before. It has chinese oud, though its not funky at all. From the first spray, it blasts an explosion of spices, but with a hint of citrus in the back. Then the fruity aspect comes into play as the spices start to back down just enough to make the pomegranate shine in all its glory. In its dry down, after the pouch of spices dries out, it becomes this soft cherry note, a bit floral from the turkish rose. Still, what fascinated me the most about it is the culture this fragrance is representing, you can kind of imagine what this smells like: Indian spice market, kids gathered around a wanderer who tells the story of the Red Tiger, that was once captured. The fascinating looks on the kids faces make their beliefs only grew stronger. As the story ends, a tranquil bloom of rose follows the direction of wind, blowing in front of the kids. The lands they are on are protected by the mythical red tiger, in their hearts, he will always strive. I wont tell you more, If you are interested about the story go read it on Byermia's site. Also I give bonus points to this fragrance because the bottle is one of the best I ve seen. It portraits the red tiger but its also elegant, with a round velvet embedded cap and with red leather around the bottle itself. So, I can recommend you this fragrance, even if you are skeptical, its not only a fragrance, but an experience, an invitation to explore different cultures. I would love to try other fragrance from this amazing brand, until then, please take time and read this review. Thank you.

Only smelled this one on a blotter so far. It's my fave Byermia, which took me by surprise. I am not a rose or a cherry fan girl at all. Not one for performative feminine florals (many designer crowd pleasers) or syrupy cherry (Tom Ford, Room 1015). Somehow, this perfume avoids all that, takes the food spices and smells nothing at all like food, and adds up to something REALLY FUCKING GOOD. I usually hate cinnamon in tea, but this is cinnamon in a totally different way. This is magic and I would not have predicted it from the listed notes. Though I do like BR540 Extrait, and while they're vastly different (BR540 is almost all synthetic and has a lot of ambroxan), the deep red 'vibe' is in common. And now I see that a hidden almond is in common too. Also reminds me of the syrrupy richness of PDM Delina Exclusif with the rose, oud, and vetiver, avoiding blackcurrant and grape and medicinal cherry but still giving the impression of syrup. This would be so perfect to wear with a black wool turtleneck to grab the scent and hold it for days. This is honestly the best cherry I've smelled and it took me by surprise.

Super sour tangy cherry opening with some citrusy/ fruity aspects with it as it dries that fades away and is replaced with spices and woods with this softly earthy smoked warm base and soft cherry.
