Oud Immortel

This is very transportive, like a sauna at a Swedish lake. It has beautiful woody notes, and puts you in a good mood. Very outdoorsy and natural. I thought I liked challenging sophisticated frags, but I have to say this just smells sooo good! The lemon is delicious, the woods are smooth and beautiful. Great piquant notes of green papyrus and tobacco. It is modern. All Byredo seem to be made for mass appeal. So they are not so interesting to me, though all I've tried have been enjoyable. This one has the most interest and character for me, because of the Oud, and the unique lemon note. Oud Immortel, does not hide the Oud, and it does not dominate. This fragrance embellishes the oud, it makes me think of it as a great "woody" fragrance; with patch and rosewood. It has great piquant notes of papyrus, tobacco, and that lemony fantasy note. I heard it described as a lemon Liqueur, but it's not boozy, which I like. The patchouli was not so noticable at first. After a few days wearing this, I see the patch is a main player; Love it here.With the oakmoss, gives it a damp earthy vib. This reminds me of Frederic Malle "Monsieur" which is patchouli and orange liqueur. This is so much nicer and more complex than "Monsieur". This smells like it does have an Immortelle note. It is a herb that smells like toasted bread, it's a cozy smell, and it seems to be making a fragrance accord with the oud, making it very pleasant. The slightly sweet limoncello, a creamy lemon note, and the toasted bread like immortelle note (unlisted) do give it a slight gourmand vib. I don't like gourmands nor sweet frags, but they are fine here and balanced with the earthy/ woody aspects. I did pick out the subtle smokiness. It's not any sharp ashen incense, bt a very pleasant aromatic smoke, that's allmost nutty, like roasting chesnuts This is not just a bigginers oud, because the oud is medecinal and very noticable, but all the other notes are so we'll blended to make an incredibly enjoyable, comfortable and wearable composition. Most of the Byredos are over priced and lack luster... This has a bit of oomph, very nicely blended, easy going Oud. The lemon pie gives it some freshness, without getting citrusy. The papyrus and tobacco blend really nicely into a unique accord. It's a great Fall fragrance. I thought the oud, smelled like a good synthetic Oud, but after 15 minutes, all the notes really gel, and smell very natural, with good quality, and performance. PS: This is growing on me, the rosewood is a beautiful base note. Excellent composition, supremely enjoyable, cozy Fall fragrance. It slightly leans masculine, good performance, not great. I just remembered, this is very much like Acqua Di Parma Colonia Oud, a fresh take on oud.. But the quality is so much better here. A great deal popped up on eBay, and I pulled the trigger. I got a new 100 ml for $167.00, from a reputable seller. Seller still has 9 more, 10/3/18. Byredos are over priced, but you can get good deals, keep checking .. Rating: 9.5/10 God bless. John 3:16

I've been obsessed with sampling as many different perfumes as I can for going on two years now, and of course I was well aware of the existence of the oud note during most of that period - with all the hype surrounding it, it would have been impossible to avoid it. So it might sound strange that this is the first time I actually try a scent with oud in it, but it's true - probably because it's a lot less omnipresent in real life than it is on the internet. So when I tried Oud Immortel for the first time, it was a bit of a revelation. The opening was love at first sniff for me, with its wonderful combination of two very different aspects: it's dominated by a delicious nutty woodiness, and in the background there's this subtle but intoxicating sweetness, which must be the limoncello. I hadn't really looked at the list of notes before trying it for the first time, so I assumed that delightful woody aspect must be oud, and I was all set to finally join the hype. But looking at this page I realize it's probably a (very well blended!) combination of many notes that I'm loving so much here - I don't get any distinct patchouli or cardemom or even smoke, but I'm sure they all play their important role in this lovely composition. So I still don't know what oud smells, but it's a good first step, and I've definitely found a new favourite. This would be on the top of my wish list already if it wasn't for one thing, a big problem I've seen in the few other Byredos I've tried as well: it really doesn't have any staying power at all, which is a crime at this price point. Within an hour it seems to retreat so closely to the skin that I have to sniff my wrist to get anything at all, even when applied generously. That opening's so great that this important negative point won't keep me from getting more of this, but I'll try to get a decant first and use it up completely before considering a full bottle.

When I first tried Oud Immortel it was quite by accident. A friend lent me a sample he had ordered and was unimpressed with. I'm glad I found it but feel unsettled that I didn't find it with intent. What if I never stumbled on it? I shutter to think. Oud Immortel makes my mind crazy. This is one of those fragrance experiences that hits you and forever changed your perceptions. I never imagined Oud this way, I never imagined lemon so well done that it actually has a specificity to it. As the notes say, Limoncello, so beautifully done I swear if I knew more about Lemoncello I could name a specific brand and vintage just nosing it. Usually lemon in frags is very unidimensional. Fragrance fanatics know what I'm talking about. The citrus in Nio, Trefle Pur, Neroli portofino, Bergamote 22. All these have a fresh zesty lemony/bergamot/orange zest citrus, all good frags, but the zesty citrus thing has been done to the point of exhaustion. This is the only lemon that I have ever nosed that is truly unique and one of a kind. Oud is used primarily as an accord to enhance the lead Lemoncello dirty vibe. All other notes present are simply accords, there to enhance the Lemoncello. On my skin it lasts and lasts and last. Lemon as an accord or note never lasted beyond the heart of a fragrance for me. The Lemoncello in Immortel only becomes more prominent and gorgeous as time goes on. Wow... It projects rather effortlessly and I have received numerous compliments on it. As far as season with lemon I usually say spring or summer, but the potency of this one might cause choke out issue during hot weather so I'll simply say year round but cautionary during warm/hot months. I give Oud Immortel the following rating Longevity - 10 hours Projection 3-6 feet and occasionally wafts beyond that. Disclaimer: I don't know what immortel smells like, so some of you might read this and shake your head while going " It's the immortel you're smelling, noob!" But.. I've smelled a lot of oud fragrances since I started my journey, and truth be told; I don't really get much oud here, if any. Judging by the comments, though, there must be something wrong with my nose. Someone wrote "stale oud". I've never had oud lying around until it got stale(?), but I think I know what he means by it. It could have an element of something stale-ish. Another guy wrote: "digital oud." That also make sense, in a way. I get the digital part anyway. Weird, right? How can something smell digital? But that's also the vibe I get from this. It smells like nothing I've smelled before. It doesn't smell synthetic, as such, because it doesn't smell like someone was trying to copy anything natural (this might be where the head shaking begins). It does, however, smell very unnatural. It smells hyper modern. It smells overly trendy. It smells like, what the people at that party you aren't cool enough to get invited to smells like. It doesn't smell warm and inviting, it smells like a guy who doesn't want to speak to you. It won't fit a dressed down look, nor is it fitting for a suit and a tie look. Not unless yours does something special to separate it from the crowd, because that's what this fragrance does. It separates you from the crowd. It's not a safe blind buy. I can see a lot of people not liking this. People like familiarity and this smells like nothing and no one. To me, this is a 10/10 and I haven't smelled a lot of those. It's unique. It's manly, but not in a balls-grabbing-macho-way. It's loud and it lasts all night. And morning too.

Then the atmosphere is a little refreshing, green with chocolate chips and oak moss, powdery, mild and sappy with a bitter and intense warm scent. Aromatic, hot and spicy aroma, hearty heartwood, powdery and spicy aroma surrounded by sophisticated and bitter smoky layers. After using it, you will notice that there is a lot of coordination with the weather of these two seasons. The image of perfume in your mind will be smelling sweet, blooming, pine trees and rainy days. One of the big mistakes that I can get from Byredo's perfumes is the rapid destruction of the structure and the aroma of the fragrance that you have to use for how many times you use perfume. This unpleasant feeling is that it makes the perfume lose its charm and prosperity, and may never have a glass Use the 100ML flavor with a passionate interest. Firstly- this fragrance, whether you love it or hate it, lasts forever. On skin it lasted for 8 hours to the point where i would smell it when stationary, then easily another 4 where I’d smell it moving or on the skin. It radiates far enough for others to notice it fairly easily in your vicinity. The scent is a fresh green incense on first impression. A bit of citrus. For an oud scent it is bright early on. It is definitely masculine even if not completely so. I can see why some describe it as “synthetic” however the scent is pleasing to me and the smell does not bother me or irk my nose in any way. Later it settles into a darker, clean, smoky incense. I personally think it is worth buying. Compared to other oud scents it is not particularly expensive, but this one is not a fully oud scent either. Although it takes center stage, oud has some flashy backup dancers in this perfume. If you’re looking for a strong emphasis on that particular note, either sample this or look elsewhere because in my opinion this has prominent notes that complement oud so definitely keep that in mind. I rate this one highly; high enough to confidently call it my signature scent. It’s classy but not overbearing, I feel like I could wear this anywhere at any time, although it strikes me as a springtime scent due to its brightness. It has great longevity and permeates a respectable distance without being obnoxious. Like most scents from Byredo, it smells interesting while being appealing. In my opinion, it’s an improvement on typical oud scents but I wouldn’t be insulted if your opinion varied. But you should try it if you’re on the fence.

Bought a bottle after falling in love with a sample. Oud Immortel is a complex fragrance, beautiful but complex. It's bright and welcoming while at the same time being dark, dusty and mysterious. Definitely usable at both day and night and would not hesitate to wear year-round (although it would be more suited for nighttime in the warmer months and daytime in the colder). I have had no issues with longevity and projection, in fact, its one of the few fragrances I own that I can smell on my own skin throughout the day. My normal application is one spritz on both sides of neck and one spritz on each back of my forearms, from there it has no issue lasting throughout the day. Starts with damp oak moss, limoncello and warm incense upon first spritz. 30min-1hr later turns to sweet lemon, old dusty leather book and...I think sandalwood? After 2hrs and onward until fade-to-skin, burnt lemon and oud. (the only time where I can really pinpoint the oud in this fragrance.) Overall, I a great addition to my collection and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another bottle after this one goes dry. BE WARNED, this is a very polarizing fragrance, I absolutely love it but I know it could definitely overwhelm others. Would recommend buying a sample before going all in.

So, I get a free sample of this at Nieman Marcus. I spray it on my wrist as I’m about to lie in bed, reading the reviews as I sniff myself. I find many assessments to be spot on. I then read someone comparing this to Creed Aventus, which I really enjoy. No way, said I! So, I continue reading more reviews, and in about 30 minutes, I sniff my wrist again , and oh my....it became Aventus, with a lazy smoky campfire trail!! Oddly enough, it’s as if Aventus and Replica’s “By The Fireplace” had an love child! Wonderfully odd and strange. Make sure you sample this before spending your hard earned money on a full bottle. Not for everybody, but I’m kinda diggin’ it! Ok an update. I’m crazy about this fragrance. It’s damn near perfect. It’s not too oudy...not too spicy or cloying, not too much patchouli—- this is blended just soooo perfectly, making so wearable and enjoyable. Definitely in my top 5... but I’m a fan of Oud and leather scents. Love Parfums DeMarly Godolphin, Tom Ford Ombré Leather... not Tuscan, and on a completely different note, the ‘70’s hippyish head shop in an elegant way, Byredo Velvet Haze. Do yourself a favor if you like Oud and/or leathery fragrances, pick yourself up Byredo’s Oud Immortal. You won’t be disappointed. Enjoy!

In many ways I agree with the other person who said this smells similar to Morning Chess, but this has much less of a pineapple/citrus note. I love this fragrance because it is earthy and woody, but the limoncello lifts it up, making it something you can wear in warm or cold weather. The incense here is warm and inviting without being overpoweringly smoky. Great for date night, since it has an air of sophistication, but I also just wear it around the house because I love it so much. The longevity and sillage are wonderful. One spritz on fabric lasts all day, and it lasts me several hours on my skin. A word of warning: When I got my bottle, it initially had a strong gasoline vibe. I let it settle for a couple weeks in a room with a consistent temperature and low light, and now it’s perfect. EDIT: After wearing this through the fall and winter, I personally think it loses its magic in cooler weather. When it’s below 60 F/15 C, the limoncello and incense disappear, and that’s what makes it special, in my opinion.

Got a sample of this and I think I have to buy a full bottle, and not the 50ml kind! To me this smells basically of incense. Pure incense with a touch of patchouli and a dab of limoncello that makes it fresh enough to wear in the summer. No oud that I can detect, nor the sweetness that other reviewers mentioned. The sample lasted more than 12h on me and as an incense fragrance, I find it very soothing. If you like incense, give this one a try; if you're searching for an oud, you should probably look elsewhere. Update: In the cold, the patchouli is more pronounced than the incense, and the sweet lemon stays strong throughout the entire day. I find it a very comforting and at the same time uplifting fragrance, while people have reacted very positively to it. It's a very unique fragrance and what I really like is that I keep getting whiffs of it during the day, it doesn't fade or become a skin scent with the passing of time; For me that makes it FB worthy.

I bought a bottle of this back in 2012 when Byredo was a new house. To my great sadness M7 was discontinued and I wanted to find a new oud to wear. I went for the name and got very disappointed. The lemony part of Oud Immortel was such a disappointment for me then. Now I can appreciate the unique take of this perfume, although I do not find it oudy at all. It has an enormous longevity and magnificent spillage. I see many people saying that it’s office safe, but I would not feel safe in any office with this hanging around. Might it be that it’s much lighter now? As my, now almost vintage, bottle is anything but. It’s more on the smokey side nowadays, maybe the years have dampened the limoncello note, but it’s still definitely there, never sweet, never overwhelming but interesting.

I wore Oud Immortel in my early 30's, im now in my 40's. I recently picked a sample, and I've been wearing it all week. We're in the middle of Winter (January), mid 50's degrees. I remember it more Oudy but interestingly enough it now smells more green fruity. As it dries down it kept reminding of another fragrance close to my heart, Creed Aventus (Men's), one of my signature fragrances. I asked my husband and he confirmed my suspicions. That explains why I still Love Oud Imm! it opens fruity, like Pinnaple. The dry down settles more green, more like a soft smoky oak moss. All in all I'd not call it an Oud fragrance. I totally disagree that smells like Promise by FM. Promise is a whole new level, a fragrance on its own. I have it, and totally Love it as well.

Strange unique scent. Definitely masculine. Strong isopropyl alcohol scent immediately after spraying. Once alcohol dissipates, I'm getting strong woody vibes that remind me of the wood used to build the shelves and cabinets in the classroom of my old Middle School. But this is damp wood that's musky and kind of moldy. Transforms into the scent of incense. The kind used in a Catholic mass. UPDATE: The smell of musky wood and incense has given way to the scent of Agarwood. Reminds me of the Agarwood used in Initio's Oud For Greatness but more mellow and less in your face. UPDATE 2: 3 hours in. I don't know if I just went nose blind but it's gone all too soon. I'm getting nothing of Oud Immortel anymore on my skin.

This is a perfectly blended western take on oud; smoothly enveloped by very natural freshly cut woods, rounded by warm cardamom and topped with a slightly sweet lemon. The incense adds depth, the patchouli gives breadth, with the whole ensemble of notes balanced in a three dimensional composition. A very versatile and adaptive fragrance that is wearable throughout the seasons; cool and refreshing enough for spring and early summer, yet with a warmth and depth that works in winter/fall. I like it during the day, but it is eminently suited to nighttime as well. Longevity and projection, like most oud fragrances, is very good. One of Byredo’s most outstanding offerings, it’s a delightful surprise.

Omg. This is the best perfume in the world. A 50 ml bottle will last me about a year. It has the perfect balance between the notes and yes it starts with a bit limoncello. It deepens into earthy tones and oud the lovely oud. No Sweetness. The Sweetness comes from your own skinscent. I have noticed that the cardamom is quite noticable and also perhaps why I love it so much. It's hidden by the oud but it creates the safety you want and the comfort that gets you hooked. It's somewhat masculine but suits all genders Try it once and you're hooked. Lasts forever and after a year in the bottle the patchouli appears more, so smooth and warm. I'd say this is a warm scent. I love it.

Beautiful scent, but sillage is really terrible and longevity is typical Byredo, doesn’t last long, I get about 2 hrs, and that’s pushing it. But I have dry skin, others may get longer wear, especially if you moisturize first. Still, sillage is very very bad. If Byredo could just make this scent stronger with better sillage, I’ll buy the largest bottle they sell and back ups. But as it is, it’s just too much of a skin scent and not worthy of a FB. Imho. Unless I am willing to carry the bottle with me and keep re applying every half hour. Which is ridiculous. Why does Byredo always do this, they make great scents that are basically Eau de toilette skin scents.

Nice stuff! I get a strong naturalistic lemon with a rough-around the edges patchouli (I found this sort of reedy, modern patch to be the closest thing byredo has to a signature), a big dose of oud, and some smoky woodsiness that I would probably attribute to the papyrus. It has a playful yet mature air to it, riding right on down the middle of the unisex line. Lemon, patchouli and oud make a surprisingly wearable and accessible combination that garners quite a bit of compliments; I don't think the Aventus comparisons are too far off, but this one has plenty of personality on it's own. Performs amazingly and I like the clean bottle design. 8/10

One of my first blind buys in my fragrance journey. I really wanted to get into oud based scents, but I did not want to jump straight into funky, animalic ones. So oud immortel seemed like a very logical choice to me. It’s safe to say it did not disappoint me, and I love it more and more every day. This is a very clean woody oud, along the lines of Oud Wood by Tom Ford. Has a nice sweet tangy citrus opening that dries down to a smoky and very woody base. I really enjoy it. I’m surprised almost no one talks about this fragrance online. A really good and unique offering from Byredo.

One of my favorites from Byredo, and one of the best Oud fragrances that comes without a rose note. The oud here is slightly medicinal but still very natural. I pick up the sweet and creamy Limoncello essence during the first hour only. The second phase turns dryer on me, a bit spicy with incense and of course Oud. Yesterday I was helping a friend move and it was hot, so I was drenched in dirt and sweat. When my husband came home he said wow, you look terrible but you still smell good. That was after 8 hours of applying lightly. Enthusiastic yes and would repurchase this again.

I like this scent a lot. There's something inexplicable and odd-smelling about it that I really enjoy. The combination of papyrus, rosewood, patchouli, and incense produces something mysterious and elegant. The opening has nothing to do with the dry down, as it is mostly a blast of limoncello and immortelle, very bright and cheery. The dry down, however, is the smell of an old transcribed handwritten letter, slowly burning. Years of thoughts, notions, and ideas, disintegrating into ash underneath a pale grey moon as brisk cold air pushes the smoke through the wind.

My personal favourite from Byredo. Versatile and unisex. I received a sample of Oud Immortel from a good friend who loves perfumes. This was the true beginning of my fragrance journey—the moment I became obsessed with a scent and needed it for comfort. During the pandemic, I would spray on Oud Immortel to feel both sophisticated and comforted, maybe even confident that life would soon return to normal. And it did. I received a full bottle on my birthday when the world went back to normal. My love for this perfume is now forever linked to that emotional attachment.

This is a superb oud! It's smoky and rich. I am not sure if it smells better when I first put it on, or after wearing it all day when it mellows. It evolves on your skin so wonderfully like an exotic trip. It stays strong through the journey, so you can enjoy it over and over. I find it a good value since a little oes a long way. It is affordable. Some of the ouds very expensive. I tried the Jo Malone Bergamot and Oud. Forget it! $170 and the smell was gone in an hour. It was not complex like the Byredo. This may become my signature scent.

I loved this for the first few days of wearing it - I seriously thought this was going to be my new favorite oud fragrance. However, it now has an overpowering chocolate note when on my skin. I don't know what the hell happened, but that is absolutely not what I smelled at first. Now I just can't ignore it and chocolate/oud is a disgusting combination. I only see one other commenter mention "chocolate" and they reference "minty chocolate chips." I don't get a mint from this, either. Not sure if it's just my skin, but odd either way.

This fragrance says it is unisex, but I would say it leans more on the masculine side on my skin. I am a woman in my late twenties, but I still love wearing it! One pump on my writs or on my decolletage is enough, as this perfume comes out much more, as soon as I get warm and silage seems to be a little more on me since people don't expect this scent on a woman. Because it is so heavy and all the wood notes comes out the most on my skin, I mostly wear it at night time, it makes me feel powerful, and goes perfectly with a suit ;)

My favorite Byredo scent. Starts with a bright blast of pine, crisp and invigorating. Settles down to a more woody scent with just a hint of oud in the background. Typical of Byredo its very minimalist but well blended. Very versatile without being a head turner. I think in moderation this is a great office fragrance, It seems to last for a good 8-10 hours with moderate silage and I don't see it offending anyone. My one gripe is the price, if you fall in love with this try to get it at a discount.

I have got a lot of perfumes. What I like about this is that I know nothing of it! I can't recognize any ingredient listed. It' a perfume in it's purest form! Sillage is monstrous and the fragrance is perfectly unisex and perfect for any occasion and time of the year. I detect weirdly some florals and some lemony notes, maybe some incense but it's so subtle I can't really say precisely. A masterpiece! My opinion is not to expect anything from this. Just try it!

This has become one of- I take that back- my most complimented fragrance out of over 100. It elicits spontaneous compliments like someone walking by you suddenly stops and telling you that you smell great. You say thank you and she says "no, you smell really great". Imagine walking into a room and later people coming to you one by one to write the name of what you're wearing. It is very unique, it smells expensive. Compliments galore. From both sexes.

I can definitely smell pineapple in it, interesting, gives me Creed - Aventus vibes for sure. One of the best Byredos IMO, very gentle and suitable for a special evening, but kind of a bit boring still. I'm sure you can find something better for this price. An interesting observation - it opens completely differently from the blotter and from the skin. It lacks most of the notes on paper, so it's better to try it on your skin.

Ah, my signature scent. A beautiful unisex, scandinavian take on oud. One of the longest lasting Byredo fragrances, this softly projects for 3ish hours and then becomes a skin scent that lasts over 8 hours, on me at least. Definitely office safe. Not a big compliment getter, but it makes you stand out from the crowd without being obnoxious. Truly unique, the only scent I can think of that's similar is Morning Chess by Vilhelm.

To begin, Oud Immortel comes on strong with an overdose of vividly yellow lemon supported by cardamom, sugar and booze. The lemon just will not quit. Emerging from behind the lemon is a smoky incense, earthy patchouli and a pleasant, masculine woodiness I would never have associated with oud. After several hours of lemony sweetness, you're left with tobacco and moss that somehow simultaneously feel dry and damp.

Discard every negative statement about this and have a personal sniffing of your own. You’d realize a lot of people have poor senses of smell. Byredo have been able to manipulate this scent to be suitable for summer and daylight. Then slightly evening. It’s the first oud I’ve encounter that would be pleasant when it’s hot. This perfume is a masterpiece. To be worn any hour and it would still create waves...

I sampled this from the Byredo Boisée Discovery set, and I really like this one. I love oud scents anyway, so this hit the spot. It's long-lasting on my skin (8+ hrs.), and it's a very unisex scent. It's another skin scent (which I dont mind), even though I generally spray 12 sprays all over my body. It makes me feel confident & classy when I wear it.

This is Byredo doing their take on the very popular Tom Ford Oud Wood. This has the same woody accord of a sweet and pleasant oud with rosewood, just like Tom Ford. The cardamom, is the main spice in both. I think I may like this better, as it smells a bit more natural. It has some of that Oud skank, yet pleasant freshness from the lemon liquor note.

I would say this has become my most complimented fragrance, there is no day I wear this that I dont get compliments. It's not just 'you smell good' but 'you smeeelll goood hmm hmm' and 'I need to get this for my son-in-law so my daughter would have a change of heart' e.t.c. This has enormous sillage and projection, This is gold.

this was my first full size perfume. this scent is just completely sexy. in two years im down to half a bottle...... its addictive. lingers so well on wool.... the kind of scent you want to smell on the scarf of a person u think is really hot that they lend to you. pure pleasure and indulgence. winter fur pervert

@GiannisP this was made way before Hacivat, same year if not before Aventus was made. Also, this is an oud scent, no pineapple notes. It has nothing to do with those two scents tbh. This is warm weather oud, super dry and sharp on whiffs. Lovely limoncello note. White lotus character worthy. Unisex.

This is the best Byredo for me. It reminds me of Terre de Hermes. It's sweet and woody and has a beautiful rosewood and light oud. It's very woody, so the sweetness is okay for balance. There is a unique lemon liquor note. It has some nice spicy kick. The papyrus is another enjoyable unique touch.

Oud Immortel is a smokey Aventus with a twist of lemons. There's not much oud but the warm woody spices with citrus lemons is very upper class gentleman fragrance. After about 4hrs it turns into a dirty patchouli with a hint of freshness (musk or moss?). This is my night out secret weapon.

I've been working in middle east for a long time. Being passionate about scents, I've tested a lot of oud based scents only sold locally. Except few, Oud Immortel surpasses all those ouds based perfumes. All I wish now is if Byredo launches a concentrated perfume oil of Oud Immortel...

I like it, smoky peppery wood and oud notes. The opening reminds me of TF Oud Wood with the rosewood and cardmon, however the dry down is almost an exact copy of Tom Ford Noir Anthracite. Its funny how Oud Immortel can be so close to two completely different fragrances

I've tried many Ouds. This is my favorite for Spring and Fall. It's even bright and fresh enough for cooler Summer days/ nights. Papyrus is a woody green smelling plant, they make paper from. The tree moss, papyrus and the rosewood make a beautiful earthy accord.

Nothing new to be said here other than I get a drop of anise (the plant not the seed) on the top. Excellent fragrance. One of my favs. And one which I get some of the most compliments on. Very unique and worth the money if you've got it to spend.

This Oud Immortal is a masterpiece. Anything that is this masculine seems to always get more down votes than it deserves. Personally it is a 4.5 rating in my book that I would put above Tom Ford and some PDM fragrances. Oud is a wonderful drug.

wonderful long-lasting oud reminds of Molton & Brown Oud Accord & Gold without the amber or Oud Saphir; goes on with a little citrus and cardamom but just in top notes; dries down to warm, smokey and woody oud that is like a tame Boadicea

Very sharp, heavy and smokey, but has an underlining clean and fresh note and that jumps out at you. Very unusual and extremely masculine to my nose. Lasts forever and projects like crazy. I love this.

My first Byredo scent. So happy with it! But is it just me, or this have quite similarities with Frederic Malle's Music For A While? Very bright tangy opening. Both I love on performance and sillage.

Am I the only person who gets Christmas from this scent? All I can smell is a pine scented Yankee Candle. It's a fabulous scent, it really is, but I cannot get anything other than Christmas from it.

The limoncello note is absolutely delicious. Mixed with incense, patchouli, oud and papyrus is pushing the somewhat sweet opening into a very woody experience. Love this. Anytime, any season.
