Amor Amor Eau de Parfum

A floral opening spiced up with pear. Sweet, elegant, and pleasant. Then the composition becomes more powdery and vanilla, though still predominantly floral. The sillage reaches arm's length, and the longevity lasts all day, surrounding you with a wonderful aura of this floral, warm, and sensual veil. I wonder if any other Cacharel fragrances have the same strength and longevity?

I love this scent, I just got my 2ml sample. I am a fan of the original 2003 EDT and I have to say they made a worthy sidekick. The lilly of the valley takes it one step towards J'Adore and it's an overall more mature scent than the EDT, but I really like it. There's still the distinctive rose note that makes it so juicy. It's a beautiful floral and easy to wear.

Was pleasantly surprised by this EDP Amor Amor. Unlike the EDT, it smells much less synthetic, more wearable and obviously lasts longer. Might end up buying a big sized bottle of it soon.

I love the original EDT, so I was curious about new concentration/interpretation presented almost 20years past its release. I’m not a sweet perfume fan. Although EDT definitely has the sweet accords, it’s perfectly balanced and that’s why it doesn’t bother me at all. On the contrary - I really enjoy it and consider it an advantage :) EDP, however, lacks that balance. It’s cloying for me, overly sweet, too heavy. It doesn’t have that fresh citrusy vibe that I love in OG. On paper notes don’t look bad at all, but on my skin vanilla is way too strong, dominates the entire composition. I feel bad for the flowery notes as I can smell that they are trying to be more present, but vanilla is the queen here and she won’t allow others to shine. If you like fruity perfumes that are vanilla oriented and want to leave a trail behind you, Amor Amor EDP might be good for you. On me, its projection is really strong and longevity is good as well (for those who want comparison with EDT - projection is stronger in EDP, but longevity is okay in both concentrations). It’s widely available and has a good price, so I recommend testing it if you’re curious about the scent. I’m a bit surprised and envy those that smell flowers in this fragrance, but that’s just another proof that our skin chemistry differ and the final opinion should be based only on your own (hopefully pleasant :)) experience.

Yes, it is completely different from the original EdT. This new edition features a lot of notes that I adore (pear, blackcurrant, rose, grapefruit, vanilla, cedar, lily of the valey), except for musk which I hate. Yet somehow I find this combo completely unwearable and it's NOT because of the musky note whatsoever. For some reason these ingredients just do not seem to blend very well together and the final effect is slightly artificial and irritating. It IS beautiful, velvety, elegant and very deep but I'd rather have it as a spohisticated bathroom reed-diffused scent than a perfume to wear on myself.
