Amor Amor

I love it. Objectively speaking, it’s not super original, might be considered synthetic by some, but this fragrance will always have a special place in my heart. Like many of us, I used to wear it a lot during my teenage years. Not all memories are good, but I miss those times anyway. Amor Amor was always with me, for better or worse. It has that unique power of mood lifting. It’s a sweet, fruity-floral fragrance. I usually don’t like sweet scents, but Amor Amor is an exception. I feel like sweetness fits the entire composition really well and is not overpowering. It’s so perfectly balanced with the other notes, creating such an uplifting effect :) It’s a refreshing and youthful perfume, but I wouldn’t say it matches only younger audience. Even if so - remember, wear what you like no matter if you are 18 or 88 years old :) As long as the fragrance suits you and makes you feel good - always go for it. And I think that Amor Amor has the power of making us feel happy, energetic and nostalgic :) Performance wise, I’d say it’s pretty good, especially for EDT. On my skin it lasts around 6hours, but lingers on clothes for a long time. I can still smell it on the next day, which is a great start of the day, considering how joyful it is :) Sillage and projection aren’t strong, but are noticeable. Very affordable price for good quality. And the bottle is cute, especially 30ml. I like its color (I think it reflects scent vibe pretty well) and the idea of Cupid’s bow crosshair in front of atomizer - one spritz and maybe an arrow with love spell will hit you ;) Worked on me many years ago and I’m still under its influence and I really love it! :)

Alright. I want to know who documented that this is "generic with terrible performance"?! Listen - don't pay attention to those haters. I can only deduce they got a stanky bottle or have a cold. I may joke, but the gloriousness of this scent is nothing to take lightly. An invigorating orange explosion that quickly develops into a sexy blackcurrant syrupy bomb with some rose and vanilla. Call me crazy, but I think this is absolutely perfect for every age. Every occasion? Maybe not. One too many sprays will destroy everyone in an elevator. Whatevs - take the stairs. The slight downside is I reckon the loop that (I assume) sits in front of the sprayer just...boggles me. Why is it there? What is its purpose? The fact this is cheap as chips and widely available cannot be stated enough! I love this. I have a 30ml bottle because I planned to exercise restraint, but I'm a fool. People will smell you - and then want to fold you in half. Bad for the hamstrings. Don't recommend. Repurchase-worthy (of the "Take my money" variety). *** Kitty rating: 9.5/10!

I absolutely adore Amor Amor. That is, the EDT. I wonder if some of these reviews are meant for the EDP, which is a flanker and a very different experience. The 2024 EDP is much heavier on the rose, white florals, and cedar, and is likely to cause headaches for some. The OG is a bright, fresh fruity-floral that I personally find really wearable, light, and inoffensive. It hasn’t evoked any negative comments from the scent sensitive folks in my household either. It’s very feminine and cheerful, sweet but not heavy or cloying, perfect for warmer weather. Sometimes citrus notes smell like cleaning products but I find them well blended here, and I don’t get any sharpness that you might associate with the zest from a rind. Amor Amor is juicy, not zesty. Britney Spears Hidden Fantasy has some interesting similarities but also some spicy notes like cloves that feel a bit more vintage and mature. I’ve been wearing that regularly and am switching back to Amor Amor for spring. Moving quickly through my 1oz bottle and have already purchased the full size.

This scent takes me back to 2003-2007, when I was a teenager and the world was alllllllll mine (well that's what I thought lol). Ahhhhhhhhhh .. bittersweet memories . I always have a bottle of Amor Amor at home and when I want to go back to the "time of my life" and remember the good old friends , the crazy parties, some "old innocent flames" , the trips I made with my parents and siblings to Morocco every summer to visit the big family , when I longed to go to school every morning , well when life was simply more than a joy I spray Amor Amor out and I start to dream hahaha. Sounds crazy I know , but a scent can do a lot to/for the soul. I'm still young of course, and I'm happier then ever believe me , but I will always miss them days and Amor Amor helps me out to get back to them once in a while :) Enjoy the life and the great moments you'll have , you never know when it's all over ! Enough , before I start to cry or something else , I'm so sensitive today hahaha ! Ps: Amor Amor is a masterpiece :)

I was afraid to try this, since some of the other cacharel perfumes I've tried haven't worked out for me. Adore Anaïs Anaïs, it's my favourite white floral, but Lou Lou was way too sweet and strong for me, and Eden was repulsive. But eventually, due to my love for Anaïs, I gave in and tried it. I'm glad I did. Amor Amor is so pretty and nowhere near as sweet as I expected - I'm not a fan of very sweet perfumes. There is an almost aquatic note in here, does anyone else get that? It uplifts it, making it lighter, fresher and airier than I would have ever imagined it being. The florals are the most wonderful, soft, creamy, feminine florals, and the fruit lends a smooth sweetness that isn't over bearing. I was expecting something sticky sweet and cloying from this. But instead I got something truly beautiful, and I will definitely be shelling out for a full bottle of this for spring/summer this year. For a designer scent, it's very cheap for a full bottle too, they are definitely undercharging for this.

I remember the very first time I smelled it in a shop. It was around Christmas time, and I strangely got a toothpaste scent from it. Yet it somehow mesmerized me and I just had to buy it. The best way I can describe it is that it's a tender blue scent. I'm usually not a sweet or fruity perfume lover as it makes me quite nauseous, so it's a real paradox knowing the notes that compose it. Another paradox : though it is but an eau de toilette, the longevity is amazing both on skin (a whole +24h for me) and fabric (several days). It's fresh in a revigorating way at first, then truly so tender and not at all overwhelmingly sweet. In one word : it's a sweet rainwater. This evokes the melancholy and romance of rebellious teenage years. Suits every season, occasion and style. It's an identity in a bottle. <3 The bottle itself : a grenade-candy apple encapsulating an eternal and thorny rose. Can you be more poetic ? It may not be niche, but subtle nonetheless and will get you compliments.

Refreshing, tart, carefree...reminds me of orange juice and jam, vanilla, and herbs. I used to wear this when I was 15-16 nearly everyday to school. I would sometimes pair it with BBW Midnight Pomegranate. Despite being sweet and fruity, there is a bright cleanliness to it as well, as well as a bit of an earthiness. Although I wore this as a teenager, repurchasing a bottle from the same year it came out, I don't have any specific memory ties to it aside from really enjoying how it smelled. I didn't just receive it as a Christmas gift, but asked for it specifically as I always tested fragrances at the mall. Turns out, I can see now, 17-ish years later, how and why I liked it. It's easy-going and could possibly be unisex (based on original formulation -- I have not smelled recent ones).

This has been a successful impulse buy - I fell in love after one whiff, and got this classic beauty on sale at the discount chemist. It was released when I was 23, but I missed it then. Marketed to “young” women, this is still perfect for middle-aged me. The citrus on top blended with vanilla at the base gives (to my nose at least) a curdled accord which I quite enjoy. It is soft and wears close to the skin after that initial first projection of flirtatious soft spice and fruit. I love lathering myself in this stuff before cracking on with the most menial of chores at home. It cheers me up during the tasks, and afterwards when I pause to rest, the dry down is the most delectable apricoty-musky skin scent that is so damn good that I could just nibble away at my own arm.

This is the most expensive-smelling affordable perfume you can probably find. I am happy it is still in production as it is a relatively old scent, but it feels like it could be tending even today. Someone in the comments said it is a little dated - I dare to disagree. You can find similar scents among the expensive contemporary perfumes for sure. Very chic, glamorous and alluring. Would be great for a date night. I hear men really love it. Amazing price tag, you can even find it on sale (especially duty free). I used to associate this perfume with a young crowd (used to wear it myself when I was a teen) but I can see how women in their twenties and forties can still rock it. But probably not beyond that.

Cacharel continues to impress me. I am a collector but somehow have only just experienced my first 2 of the house. Yes I Am really took me by surprise. A blind scent would have had me guessing along the lines of Carolina Herrera. So, I finally dove into another oldie, Amor Amor. Wow! It is not extravagant, or groundbreaking, but man am I glad to have it in my collection. It is such a pretty and flirty scent. I do not love a rose scent, but I do enjoy it in this. For me, this is the only rose perfume I would reach for. It is there, but somehow it is not the main character. Kinda like Angelina Jolie in Girl, Interrupted.

Hey, I’m only about 20 years late to the Amor Amor party. Better late than never. Beautiful RED smell. A hummingbird would love this. Ok, so the glass bottle is red, but I swear this is the scent of the color ruby red!! Balanced fruity floral with sweet citrus and a blend that makes you wonder what is it? Sweet orange and rose-vanilla candy. It’s more than that and hard to explain! Very uplifting and addictive! I catch whiffs all day and the dry down gets sweeter. It’s very inexpensive now for curious sniffers! I’d say it’s a safe blind buy. For me it’s a top shelf love.

This perfume is a dupe for Abercrombie & Fitch's 'Ready' *without* the longevity. It's a %$@!#%^ shame that they discontinued that one. THAT was the fragrance I wore in college. Sigh. Nothing but young, dumb ratchetedness disguised as classy and mysterious under a cloud of that perfume. 'Amor amor' gives nostalgic--- but is not quite IT. An intense version might do. I'll take this in the meantime. A&F should do a reboot though. 'Ready' had my little crew in a chokehold!

I was looking for an alternative perfume gift for a friend and cane across Amor Amor, which had never tried before.I thought this is pretty , sweet and not too sickly for hotter days.This sort of reminds me of Gucci Rush , not as heavy handed but Amor Amor is much lighter and spontaneous.Whereas Gucci Rush sort if hits you in the face KAPOW...Amor Amor has that creamy fruitiness, that can also be worn before going to the gym... I'd buy it again definitely.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

This perfume reminds me of discontinued Moschino Glamour which was one of my favorite. I smelled Amor Amor and fell in love, it smell almost exactly as moschino. My BF finds it very attractive and sexy. Is citric fresh and fruity sweet but not overwhelming, the citrus notes give it a really nice kick to it, I think you can wear this all year round, mostly at nights due its spice and woody warmness. I use to wear this on special dates.

Love this fragrance. Blind bought this because the description of the notes are the type of scents I like. It's not overly sweet on me and the vanilla is very soft. A lot of the reviews claim it's a fragrance for young women, whatever that's supposed to mean. I'm definitely not a young woman and think you can wear whatever you like. I loved anais anais and loulou when they were introduced and happy to add another scent from cacharel.

Cacharel is a french luxury clothing & accessories brand that has existed since 1958! Amor Amor was created by much sought after parfumeurs Laurent Bruyere and Dominique Ropion, and launched in 2003 by Cacharel. It is certainly Not a dupe of anything. Staying power - moderate on me! A Summer of Love scent!

Purchased this again after going through a few bottles, back when it was a new release. I'm so glad I did--this is done so well. I find it unique (at least in my collection and for my preferences!) It's sweet and easy to wear, yet also interesting. Sillage starts huge but dries down nicely--it's long-lasting. I have absolutely no regrets, especially for about $23 (AND without having to go further than my local pharmacy!)

Ohh I love this! I got it as a gift and I was so surprised that I would like it that much, because the package and the design irritated me a lot. Gave me a feeling of something more dark and mysterious. But omg luckily it is a sweet one. Soo fruity and floral. Also really girly, but just the right amount of it, so not excessive sweet! Just feels good to wear it. When it is empty I will definitely buy a new one.

I did not expect to love this since I am not big into fruity. But, this is a deep, night scent that goes on fruity but becomes very dry and dark. Dry. Not ripe and juicy. There's lots of tonka, not vanilla. Lots of musk. Maybe some patchouli not listed in the notes? Sweet but like the remnants of a memory of fruit. A stain. Very interesting for a mainstream scent. I like it lots.

one of my favorite scents, really nostalgic as this was what my mother wore 24/7 and would occasionally spray this one me if we're going to some fancy event. i like the bottle design, it is plain but the hoop thing where the spray goes out is really nice. the rose graphic is also ingrained in my mind. def would buy this again.... smells like my childhood and not in a bad way

This is my favorite perfume of all time. I've been wearing this scent since I was in my early 20's and now 40's. It is a strong sweet, musky, oriental, citrus scent that is best for night time. It is long lasting. I never get tired of wearing it and there is no other perfume out there like this one. I love Cacharel and wish they would come out with more perfumes in the US.

This perfume brings back memories of my youth. It reminds me of the good times I spent with my friends, the crazy parties, the innocent love. Even though I am happier now than ever, spraying Amor Amor takes me back to those joyful moments. It may sound crazy, but a fragrance can do wonders for the soul. Oh wow! It really does smell just like Amika hair products. I saw that Amika used to sell an EDP of their signature scent and was perturbed when I saw they discontinued it. Then i saw on reddit someone saying this is exactly like the scent. I figured I'd give it a go and it is an exact match I think. If you like Amika hair products, you'll like this scent!

This fragrance is pure nostalgia for me, it takes me back to a time when life felt so much simpler. I think many of us can relate to wearing Amor Amor during our teenage years! Even now, I still find it smells lovely, though I have to admit it smells slightly dated. Despite that, it holds a special place in my heart, and I can’t help but love it. ❤️❤️❤️

Number one 2000's baddie. Fresh, delicious red fruit. She radiates if you overspray, and you kind of have to given this is a citrus fragrance, but she's super cheap so it doesn't hurt. I first smelled this in a Kaufmann's when I was a wee baby bat and she captivated me. now as a grown ass woman I won't ever be caught without this delicious love potion.

I agree with Sparkleball22, this actually smells RED. It reminds me of Gloria, sadly discontinued. Not a dupe by any mean and I think the pyramid is quite different, but it gives me the same vibe. If you miss Gloria you may love this one. I think I even like it more? I can easily see it becomes my favourite fragrance.

Very sexy and girly perfume. It smells like a sexy bubble gum......kind of like a teenage fragrance. Every man asked me about it.....I was surprised that the perfume got so much attention. Very 'feel good' and happy perfume for day or night. I'm almost 50yo and still use it. J'adore!

My ex bought this for me while I was living in Paris. I can't not smell it and think of those times 12 years ago. Although my ex ended up being a complete and utter jerk, I still have fond memories of this scent and the fun Parisian lifestyle I embarked on for a short time. :p

I used to wear it on my teens, it was my signature scent, and I'm soooo glad. It's elegant and beautiful, youthful at that time, unique... it is definitely a smell of the past, it's not modern, but it will always remain as a classic in my heart ❤️

No words to explain how beautiful this fragrance is. It's a fruity, playful scent and it works on my skin so well. Such a mood uplifter. Not a long lasting perfume, but definitely brings out a lively and chirpy part of my personality. .

I guess maybe I am biased given that I grew up in the 90’s but this is a lovely fragrance. The citrus’s are so greatly blended, it’s sweet and playful. This could definitely be an everyday signature fragrance.

Amor amor smells amazing to me. It is quite similar to Si Passione but I like this one better. On my skin lasts long, i put some yesterday and i can smell it today as well. This is pure love in a bottle

I found this completely by accident and fell completely in love, it feels so girly and sexy and fun. I often get compliments when I wear it. Nostalgic scent for sure but I wear it everyday.

This keeps getting me so many compliments whenever I wear it. I find it to be very girly, sexy and happy. Not that complex but sometimes you just want to smell lovely without any fuss.

That's nice, lovely, well made. I don't know why I have never tried that before. Fruity and fresh summer flowers and juicy, delicious fruits. A very relaxing smell.

It's a very vibrant and soft rose floral, fresh and alluring. It's a youthful scent and great for every day and every occasion.
