Gloria

Finding this little gem was a real challenge for me and finally it's here,as our wedding anniversary gift from my life's true love,I can't explain how much excited I am.. Initial spritz is bitter and sharp,it's like a chemical blast of amber,cherry and boozy notes but let it settle down and unfold it's notes,except first minute this is exactly what I've imagined Cacharel Gloria is a combination of cherry and almondy amaretto in a sweet,warm base of vanilla,Tonka and amber..it's very powdery in a unique way,it's bitter-sweet and really sexy..it's delicious but not in a childish cherry cake way,and it has an attractive spicy,woody undertone beneath it's soft sweet base that really appeals to me I can see why it's compared to cartier dragon,they don't smell the same,Gloria is waaay less woody,less boozy and also is the cherryish version of Dragon,and it's much more charming and more feminine Though cherry is mentioned as a base note,I smell it from the initial wiff but it calms down,almost fades away as it dries down. What lasts with me for hours is a soft powdery blend of vanilla, tonka,almond and a whisper of flowers, it's drydown is my favorite part and it's not a real oriental woody to my nose since it's not that woody(fortunately) I really try hard to not be a discontinue hype but this one is really amazing,it's a combination of my beloved notes,a true unique feminine scent, a stand out fragrance without being offensive,with great Longevity(sillage is moderate on me),it's a shame I can't use it freely because I'm already afraid of running out of it Cacharel is one of my favorite brands and I really wish that they bring this baby back..I'm sure there is a place in this huge world of perfumes for this little gem ❤❤❤❤ P.s: If you love fragrances with powdery almond and vanilla(comes to my nose as heliotrope) cherry,woods and pepper,this is the only choice that comes to my mind..there is no dupe as far as I know..nearest option is guerlain La petit robe noir edp,which has lots of cherry and vanilla and some almond and liquorice,but it's too much cherry dominant,medicinal in opening and too plain sweet in Drydown and there is no spicy,woodsy undertone,but it can fulfill some of gloria's need and is better than nothing.you also can try layering it with different perfumes Edit: Try layering guerlain La petit robe noir edp with mon guerlain,first time I did so Gloria was the first thing that came to my mind,first spray mon guerlain and give it some time to settle down, then apply la petit robe noir edp in smaller amount.Mon guerlain's drydown reminds me gloria's drydown

This is my all-time favorite fragrance. I first bought it in 2002, a few months after its release and I've been wearing it steadily ever since. It's really hard to describe this fragrance, one word that comes in mind is "unique", it's unlike anything else I've ever smelled and it definitely belongs to another era. I can definitely detect the fusion of amaretto and bulgarian rose at first sniff, later on the vanilla and pepper become more dominant and after a few hours you're left with an amazing combination of cherry, tonka bean and cedar. I would classify it in the oriental category, but at the same time it's pleasantly fresh and it's a fragrance that I feel can compliment women of any age (even teenagers - I was in high school when I first bought it). Maybe if it had been released in the early 90s, it would've been as huge as Dune. Together with the majority of the reviewers here, I honestly don't understand why and how this fragrance was discontinued. Cacharel has a number of completely forgettable fragrances, for example "Amor Amor" which is nothing special and has had almost 100 different re-releases, yet they couldn't hold on to "Gloria" which was definitely their finest creation and dare I say, Olivier Cresp's finest creation as well. I realized in 2005 that this had been discontinued, so I stocked up on a number of bottles and gift sets while it was still decently priced and not exorbitantly priced as it is now. Thankfully, I still have some left. I also own the green body mist, body lotion and the bath and body oil. The body lotion is divine in itself - if you manage to find a decently priced bottle, do yourself a favor and buy it, as it can definitely be worn on its own. The green body mist is nice, but definitely not worth the crazy expensive prices and the bath and body oil is kind of forgettable for me and it doesn't smell like the red EDT at all. Regarding dupes, I have tried lots of them in fear that someday I might finish my last bottle. I will say that Perfume Parlour's dupe of "Gloria" is very nicely done, definitely reminiscent of the original EDT, but not quite there yet. I will agree with reviewer Bokonon12 that there is no dupe for "Gloria" on the market right now and it's doubtful if we will ever have one, as this was a truly one of a kind, unique fragrance. Maybe the Fragrantica staff can ask Olivier Cresp about it in a future interview, he now has a line of his own and maybe he would be willing to re-create the original formula for the die-hard fans through his own line?? One can only hope...

I fell in love with this from a ‘peel & use’ sample in a magazine, head over heels with it I was. I bought a 30ml bottle and used to wear this in my teens to school & I had almost forgotten just how potent this was. I managed to find a decent sized bottle on eBay recently & received it today. I sprayed it & at first I got this horrendous rubber/medicinal/woody smell which was extremely unpleasant HOWEVER this is from 18 years worth of exposure to air (Gloria doesn’t have a cap). Definitely persevere with it though if you too are lucky enough to find a bottle because once that smell faded the fragrance I once loved started to shine through and I was immediately transported to when I was younger. The first spray must have cleaned the nozzle because on the second spray I got that delicious boozy amaretto & cherry that I remember. It then settles into the most wonderful & interesting floral marzipan fragrance. Absolutely stunning, so glad to have rediscovered her. Gloria is extremely heady & very strong to my nose so, definitely a cold weather/outdoor fragrance but to be used with a light hand even then. With two sprays my other half could smell it from half way across the room! I once wore this on a packed train in the middle of summer & it was just too much for me. Longevity is substantial on this beauty too. I also managed to get a bottle of the body mist, bath oil & body lotion. All have different fragrances that can either be used alone or to enhance different elements of the edt. I don’t ever remember there being an EDP, the edt was potent enough so I suppose an EDP would have suffocated customers 😅 Regarding alternatives: I have been recommended fragrances like Mon Guerlain & Kudos (formerly Gloriaas) by Perfume Parlour which is inspired by Gloria. I purchased a 30ml vapo of Kudos based on the reviews & I’d say it is far closer to Gloria than Mon Guerlain however, I find it to be more cedar-heavy in the opening & is less potent. Having said that, it is still a lovely perfume in and of its own right. I also have Mon Guerlain which is a far, far more floral & delicate take which makes it easier to wear, again a lovely fragrance.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when, last summer, I saw that thin violet box with “Gloria” written in silvery rose while taking a look through the showcase of a little perfume shop in San Marino Republic... all I could do was, in this order: enter, asking the sale assistant for a try (directly from the only bottle available for sale) and make it mine! No sane perfume lover, mostly if obsessed with creamy and gourmandish things, would have let this gem all alone in that shop. Probably that was (and will remain) the best scented deal of my life: less than 25 Euro for 30 ml bottle of a rare fragrance is not bad at all I think. A festive, warm and gently boozy note of Amaretto takes me through a masterfully done blend of the most appealing notes a female fragrance could contain, such as powdery almonds and ripe juicy cherries, while the quiet but noticeable woody notes start to caress me and soften the creamy sweetness into kind of a body lotion feeling on skin... on and on until I get to the comforting but still opulent ambery and slightly spicy drydown, soft and sensual like a wintery evening date while it's snowing outside... What amazes me in Gloria is that everything in it feels so right in its place, unique, friendly but straightly romantic and allusive too... just like a wonderful looking person who is surprisingly humble, kind and down-to-earth but still he sends pleasant shivers down your spine. I must confess the fact this perfume is discontinued and adored by so many Fragranticans influenced me a bit in the purchase’s choice, but I would be truly ungracious to this Beauty if I didn’t describe it as one of the greatest fragrances I’ve encountered so far. One perfect gourmand woody oriental, if such a category existed. Gloria is more than a scent to me... it’s a love desire, a hymn to cuddling moments with someone special for you, a feminine potion for seductiveness and grace, a place where you can still dream undisturbed... Cacharel please, please.... You know what you should do :)

Gloria was discontinued. It belongs to a different era. It was an era, not so far ago, when mainstream perfumes were still perfumes in themselves, not just water with some mix of flavours. It was not love for me then, but it would be now after all these years of confusion. There is a sort of coherence in these older scents as if they were made with a purpose or at least a clear idea in mind. Who knows I will think the same in ten years about nowadays designer scents? I kept a few samples and they still smell fresh and delicious. The perfume itself is very strong, luscious and sweet without being candish. It's made of different impressions and accords put together. The Woody part is a wonderful strong creamy luscious heavy but never harsh base for the rest of the simphony. It's very down-to-earth and thick yet balanced. Amaretto, White pepper and tonka are very dominant. Gloria is one of those epithomes of feminity that were the trademark of those years. Not an easy one to wear carefully, but one you could make friends in time and become fused with it. It is a gourmand indeed, sickening for some at that time, not knowing what would come next generation of sweet, but a great job of daring perfumery. It is very longlasting and it keeps projecting and changing for hours on skin. They also made a body oil that was to-die-for, still Gloria in a different nuance, quieter and more milky with a cereal edge that reminds a bit of Jil Sander Sensation. The body mist was a fresher take on the theme and highly wearable in hot weather. I was never a total fan of Cacharel fragrances because all of them have some ingredient that become dirty on my skin like b.o. Gloria was no exception for me. Not sure waht was others's feeling about the b.o. part. I received a lot of compliments wearing this and some shy complaints. So sad it was discontinued. Other Cacharels smell just meh and cloying compared to this.

I can't use this perfume without the Laura Branigan song "Gloria" running through my head (and I wasn't even alive when it was made! it's that catchy..) anyway.. I was pretty turned off by the opening on this one (I tend to judge fragrnces too quickly). The opening is very sharp and stereotypically "Bank of England"-ish. Smells very dated and musty, typical of a vintage frag. However, it has grown on me a LOT since I've been using it enough to enjoy the drydown. Sweet dark cherries and soft vanilla. I like that it's gourmand, but doesn't exactly smell like a literal food - more of a perfumed artistic interpretation of sweets and not actual sweets. It's gorgeous and delectable, seriously. Ordered a full bottle even with the ridiculous prices on ebay and couldn't be happier. They need to bring this one back.. hard to believe loulou and amor amor have stood the test of time and this one hasn't. I wonder if the marketing concept of "use all the products together for the correct smell" wasn't a mistake? Also, this is VERY similar to guerlain's Spiriteuse Double Vanille. Gloria has a little more cherry, but the two could be dupes for each other. Oh well. Speaking of dupes, I also ordered some of Perfume Parlour's "Gloriaas" dupe so I'll update this when I'm able to compare the two. I have high hopes for that one as well ;) UPDATE- Perfume Parlour's "Gloriaas" dupe is actually very good, I'm happy with it and think it smells great! Gonna use it for layering :) Unfortunately the other 3 dupes I ordered (Midnight Poison, Tendre Poison and Tobacco Vanille) were all terrible, especially the MP lol. FYI, these were the oil versions.

This perfume was discontinued so quickly after production that nobody had a chance -it was in the cut-price bins immediately,and practically disappeared off the face of the earth overnight. What I remember is that at the time, it smelled like no other fragrance I had tried before and something different is what will always attract me to a scent without fail. The note that always stood out for me was the hibiscus which I believe for some, is the one element they do not like whereas I have come to value this unusual sharp but earthy floral note and now have several perfumes containing it. I have just managed to obtain a small bottle which arrived today, and I am both happy and sad at the same time- happy because I forgot how much I loved this fragrance and sad because I like it even more now than I did 10 years ago and the current price means I will probably never have it again ! For me, the opening of this is sharp, sweet, and earthy - fresh crushed flower petals with a deep and rich amber, almost like an incense and a sweet hint of vanilla pod which carries through without becoming cloying. The fragrance becomes more rounded and smooth as you wear it, as several of the notes are fairly similar to eachother and combine overall- blended so well into such a delicious rich and slightly smoky drydown...it reminds me of oriental lilies...perhaps this is the styrax ? I don't know about this note. Anyway, I've said enough about glorious Gloria-it's a real shame Cacharel didn't give her the chance to shine.

After finally testing Gloria thoroughly, I'm going to have to join the chorus on this one: I also think it's a terrible shame it was discontinued, and I can't for the life of me imagine why they did that. It's a lovely scent, and as I recall it was popular enough at the time - and that's confirmed by the amount of mourning it gets here on Fragrantica. When we were at university my close friend used to wear this, which gives it a nostalgic glow for me, but I'm sure I would appreciate it on its own as well. The cherry note is very well done here, and it goes together wonderfully with the nice amaretto note, softened by the base of vanilla, tonka and roses. It's the kind of gourmand that's rich and delicious enough to really make your day, especially in the cold seasons, without going far enough with the sweetness or the edible factor to make you feel conspicuous wearing it (at least if you don't overspray). As others have mentioned, there unfortunately doesn't seem to be anything quite like Gloria widely available today. I tested and liked Eau Jeune's Orientale a few weeks ago, and there is some similarity, but it lacks the balance of this one, it's more straightforwardly sweet and in your face, maybe because it doesn't have the cherry note that's the corner stone of this gorgeous creation. So I guess I'll just have to make my treasured decant of the real thing last...

I want to know one thing and one thing only about this scent. Why has it been discontinued by Cacharel? I bought this when it first came out and the idea was you had the perfume PLUS the body spray (pictured on the right) that went with it. The body spray came in a bigger bottle, shaded jade, with the same coloured plastic top on it. The body spray had a slightly different aroma than the perfume which was the whole point, as they were designed to compliment one another. Believe me, the effect was awesome and the boyfriend I was going out with at the time couldn't get enough of it (on me obviously)! I get so upset whenever a unique scent like this is discontinued. I have seen it on Ebay but NEVER the two together. You can't have one without the other, it doesn't work the same. I do think that perfumes associated with celebs (do you REALLY think Beyonce would choose to wear Heat..no, neither do I) are popular due to the celeb rather than the scent they are associated with...and that's why they sell. I would love it if someone famous put their name to a fragrance that's actually more classier than they are, then it wouldn't be discontinued as sales would go through the roof. Such a shame!

I once got a sample of this but back then I wasn't crazy about it. That changed, and then I found out the perfume had already been discontinued! Luckily I found another bottle somewhere online, because I have to say I love it now. This is my favourite perfume for the evening. It's not too heavy but the sillage is stronger than I prefer for the office. It's also quite sweet and I find it attractive. This combination of vanilla, almond (as in amaretto) and cherry is one I haven't found in any other perfume, and it's what I like best about this fragrance. So it's definitely gourmand, but not too much so. There's a noticeable flower in there as well, that gets more prominent in the drydown. This base note lasts quite long. I adore it but I'm not sure what it is; I smelled it in Spicebomb as well but there are no similaritiess in the listed notes. Fortunately I can last a long time with one bottle, so let's just hope by the time I finish it, Cacharel will either have brought it back or my tastes have changed!

Gloria took a while to fall in love with, but now I adore this scent. Its a scent that says - make room I coming thru...but in a soft, nice way. (JPG classique is another loud scent). Gloria is a scent that is very hard to catch but if you do, try it. It has a great stayingpower and on me it stays all day/night. Spray carefully for day-use. There is a lot of vanilla in this scent, but its gourgious and I feel faboulous all day/night. One of my top 5 favourites. Gloria är en helt underbar doft som sitter i många timmar. Vaniljtonen tycker jag är tydlig men mjuk, varm och väldigt kvinnlig. OM man sprejar för mycket så blir detta en rumsdödare, så den är superdryg. Inga skarpa noter alls, bara djup, varm, råsexig och superkvinnlig. Svårfunnen numera men finns ibland på vissa auktionssajter - (kolla med säljaren så den inte har ändrat doftnot och blivit gammal). En av mina top 5 favoriter.

I was fortunate to be able to buy a 7 ml bottle of this wonderful fragrance, but now that the genie is out of the bottle, I absolutely will be looking for more. From first application to last fade, the overwhelming notes are cherries, red florals, pepper and woods. So beautiful and feminine without being too "young" or "too old." All notes are beautifully balanced. There is nothing too heavy or too insubstantial here. Gloria has good staying power and reasonable sillage. I can't imagine anyone being offended by this fragrance. I can truly say that this smells "delicious," and can understand why others say that the fragrance makes them feel happy. For someone looking for something similar still in production, I find that Delices de Cartier is fairly comparable. It has the many of the same notes, but is a little brighter than Gloria. I wish Cacharel would bring this one back.

Gloria must be my fave of all time... my sister had it as a teenager and I always sprayed some on a cotton pad and couldn't stop smelling it... I think it's the perfume that gave me my interest in fragrances until today... a quite fun story :). I can't believe they chose to discontinue it. I'd buy 3 bottles of it. Gloria is so captivating. I think it is still my prototype when shopping for perfumes. I found 'Sexy Darling' by Kylie Minouge and since I'm not sure how Gloria really used to smell except *great*, I find it to be an okay replacer. I really loved the advertise and the bottle too, the pearl-ish and the colours, It really spoke to me. Its really went well with the fragrance, which has a very balanced character, not too nutty, sweet, woody or smokey. It really is that kind that mix with my chem awesomelly. It would still, 14 years later, be my signature perfume.

I was looking through a box in basement which I put a few perfumes I wasn’t wearing, I found this Gloria. I sprayed it while I was doing laundry and I kept smelling this lovely vanilla almond scent as I moved. I immediately went back to the box threw it in the laundry basket and headed upstairs. I’m wearing this today, I love that it’s soft and sits close to skin but different than most vanilla fragrances, it’s not a baking vanilla but more a true smokey vanilla bean. The almond mixes well and the fruit (not your super fruity scent) cherry shows up. Amaretto, my favorite drink, also plays a role in drydown. This is a niche quality fragrance. Such a comforting scent, but really a shame it’s discontinued, truly hate that this happens to many really well composed fragrances. I’m going to be wearing this a lot this Christmas season and winter. PS Cacharel bring this back!

A wonderful lady had included a mini of this in a larger box of fragrance samples. I'm glad she did because it was the type of gourmand scent I'd been trying to find. Lo and behold, it had already been discontinued in production. Well, I had already been down this route with a few other fragrances. I had tried other marzipan type fragrances and only felt okay about them. One day shopping at the outlets, I spotted a full bottle that was meant to be a tester on sale for $4.95. I nearly fainted at the bargain. I almost squealed with delight. This is a sweet scent that can be worn year around. It's not sickenly sweet that it can become overbearing in the summer. On me, it's all the base notes plus the amaretto. Why oh why is this discontinued and why are there seemingly 150 flankers of Amor Amor? Cacharel, you messed up.

A gorgeous warm cherry clafoutis, made with ground almonds, fresh out of the oven! I have compared arm-to-arm with Flowerbomb, Lalique & Roberto Cavalli Her......but they all fall short of this light & cheery cherry oriental. Lalique is too creamy, heavy & patchouli-laden (although I adore its blanket of velvety vanilla). Flowerbomb is just too sweet & "high" but shares a few similarities & a certain feel. Cavalli is a little sickly. If I could add some fruity cherries & nutty, toasted almonds to Burberry Brit + Flowerbomb then some amber for that divine, long-lasting drydown then we are starting to build a similar fragrance.........but none will match that character & cheeky-sensuous balance that Gloria has! Take note, Cacharel! Listen to the perfumed masses: BRING GLORIA BACK in all her original glory!

One of the nicest, yummiest gourmands I've ever smelled. When I was a kid, my mom would make a homemade cherry dessert topping for special occasions that smelled like Gloria. She'd take a jar of maraschino cherries and dump it in a pan, add almond extract, misc spices, a healthy pour of amaretto, water and a packet of gelatin. After reducing in the pan, this mixture formed a sort of intensely sweet cherry-vanilla-almond syrup that was served while it was still warm over vanilla ice cream sprinkled with toasted almonds. Gloria is a comforting, warm, sweet and boozy cherry almond scent. It is not particularly powdery (in case you are worried about that) and smells very literally edible to my nose. Its discontinued and hard to find these days, very worth it IMO. Lovely!

This is so cozy, lovely, sensual, boozy, and dreamy. I mean, we can all see the composition of the notes above, but that never fully gives insight into what something will actually smell like. I almost find this to be indescribable because the words I think of don't seem to be enough. I have no idea why this would have been discontinued. It's perfect. Not too sweet, not too rich, doesn't smell like alcohol yet it does have liqueur aspects, it's both warm and soft, heavy and light. It's just beautiful. I'm almost finished a mini that I've managed to savor for almost 2 years and found a sealed box on Mercari, so I took the plunge. I cannot wait to spray it vs dab it (I have atomized some of the mini, but I didn't want to waste anymore drops while transferring it).

I tested this in a cosmetics store not knowing what it was and the positive comments from here. At first I really hate the top an dmiddle notes of Gloria as it made me smell like an alcohorlic or an old lady who used herbal oil for some kind of sickness, I just left it on the shelf and didn't care for it. But after an hour when I smelt my arm, I noticed a very subtle cherry vanilla note which I like very much. Then I came back to this website and read all the comments about Gloria, OMG, I didn't know it was so famous amoung perfume junkies! Today I am so lucky to buy 2 100ml EDT, the first impression of Gloria to me is still the same, but I am totally addicted to the base note of it. It's really nice and good for all occations. I am enjoying it now~

Oh yes, Gloria is glorious :) Its like someone has mixed Le Baiser du Dragon with caramel, coffee and vanilla. I loooooove it and now Im going to hunt it down until I find a big juicy bottle just for me ihihh It somehow reminds me to of JessicaSimpson Fancy, I know its a terrible comparasion but they have the same feel and who likes Gloria and cant find a similar one, should try has I said Cartier's LBDD and Fancy, they have the same vibe! Gloria starts with a magnificient Amaretto and Frangripiani note, and then develops to a rosy skin scent. oh god this is just good. Please if someone has something of this, I swap all my collection for it, seriously! Sillage: Big Longevity: It last all day on me Personality: Its a Hippy!!! 8,5/10

It wasn't love at first sniff. Actually I was quite upset when I first sprayed it on my wrist. Fortunately this dissappointment lasted 10 minutes long. I'm not keen on the opening. It is sharp, earthy and boozy. After 5-10 minutes vanilla, almond and cherries start to show up and the scent gets delicious. I love the hint of hibiscus. It is very well blended in other notes. The drydown is gorgeous: sweet creamy amber - vanilla and spiced almonds. It is very deep, rich and warm. I think it is mesmerizing. I feel great wearing Gloria. It is very long lasting, the silliage is just in a right ammount: Enough to catch compliments but it doesn't offend anybody. I am in love with it. It's a shame I got half of my 50 ml bottle left.

This is the best perfume that i have ever owned and i am so sad that it has been dis-continued. It was my signature scent for a few years and it was literally the only perfume at that time that i owned because i loved it so much that nothing else could compare. It definately was so unique, i have smelt nothing else that delivers such a heady and erotic blend of amaretto, cherries and musk in one perfume. Oh how i wish that they would bring this one back, i imagine the sales of it would go through the roof. I have just e-mailed everybody that i could find a contact for at Cacharel to request that they consider bringing back this wonderful fragrance! Let's hope that they will consider it (fingers crossed!)

I won't be telling you how much I love Gloria and treasure that half of a 50 ml bottle I got left.. I have been looking for a substitute for ages among original perfumes, but nothing came close to this unique scent. Kenzo Indian Holi may be, which is already discontinued too, but something was still lacking. Today I tested Van Cleef & Arpels Bois Dore and Bingo! I got that precious note that I so love in Gloria and miss everywhere else!!! I got so excited about this discovery that I had to finally register on Fragrantica to write this as seems it has not been mentioned before. :) P.S.: for anyone not familiar with Perfume Parlour and missing Gloria, do try their dupe: it's perfect match!

to all the gloria fans out there: Gloria is NOTHING like flowerbomb. believe me, i bought flowerbomb to replace gloria and it has nothing similar to gloria. they are sooooooo different. don't get me wrong: flowerbomb is also a lovely perfume (although at first i didn't quite like it, not because it didn't smell good, but because i was disappointed that it wasn't like Gloria). flowerbomb is sweet in a different way (it's candy sweet) and it's floral...flowerbomb is similar to carolina herrera 212 sexy. from my point of view, gloria is unique and i don't know if i'll ever find something like that again... i guess not, because i've been searching for quite a while.

I so so so wish this fragrance would return. This was my 2000's scent and I NEVER paid for one drink in a night club when wearing this. If you needed someone to pay for your drinks, pay your car note, buy you a car, buy you a house, etc. this fragrance would attract them! LOL! It was so sexy on, you felt so confident and beautiful wearing it and ALL the boys came to the yard when you wore it. It was like a vanilla, amber, Dr. Pepper. So boozy and sweet, lasted all night, stayed beautiful the whole time and you would wake up the next morning still smelling it on your clothing, hair, etc. I have never found her replacement. Gloria you are missed.

Cacharel makes some amazing scents. I had the vintage Eden, which always drew me to it wearing it almost every single day. I have Noa, which I haven't used much, just waiting for the right season, I bought Gloria during my holiday in Europe, it was summer at the time, this smelt sickly sweet at the time. I brang it back in my luggage tucked away, it's winter now & I LOVE THIS :) The juice is addicting, warm sweet & in a way delicious. My boyfriend loves it on me too. Cacharel in my honest opinion makes some unique but different perfumes❤️ Your nose will love every single one. Mine has so far ;) Longevity: 6 hours.

this perfume is pure heaven. I can't believe is discontinued and I fear to use the bottles I have left :'( you can find it form time to time on sale on ebay for stellar prices, thanks god I still have a milk bottle, a bath oil bottle and a 50 ml edp to use but what will I do when they will be finished?? AARRGGH!! :) it is charming, enchanted, warm and spicy in a young but still mature way, can't describe how magnificent is!!! I would recommend an evening use but to be honest I use this perfume day&night as I can't get enough. People loves it too :) the package and the bottle are amazing as well!

It's cold today, so I opted for Gloria to warm me up. It opens with a delicious amber-hibiscus-rose mix but sadly no Amaretto on me at all. Then it's all almond and vanilla, a bit dizzying. Thankfully it's spiced up with pepper and warmed with amber, so it's not headache inducing. It reminds me in its coziness of a gentler version of Cashmere Mist. Sweet cherry is indeed in the drydown. It makes an appearance after 4 hours approximately. A welcome addition. It's shy on my skin with minimum sillage, but it pops out now and then, which is nice. I have a mini, and won't hunt a bigger bottle.

A gift or a purchase, can't remember. Gloria. Her name describes the perfume perfectly. The opening has the rose, white pepper and cherry dance before the following notes ensue; rose, hibiscus and light cherry that slowly transforms as it is wrapped in the musk, tonka bean and cedar. I could have sworn there was cinnamon in the notes, which could have been enhanced by the vanilla, making the perfume sweet but peppery and powdery at the same time. Almost gourmand by scent. A beautiful perfume with excellent staying power. Recommended for Scorpio girls. Scent 10/10 Staying Power 8/10

Açıkçası Cacharel Gloria'yı biraz L'Occitane Eau de Bavx'a benzettim. Karakterleri çok yakın, Bavx'dan daha kalıcı ve bana göre Gloria kesinlikle bir erkek parfümü olmaya aday. Cacharel'in bu parfümü piyasadan çekmesine hiç şaşırmadım çünkü çoğu bayan bunu üzerine sıkmak istemeyecektir. Benim çok sevdiğim bir koku ama dediğim gibi; meyveli, tatlı ve sonu ahşabımsı/tutkalımsı bir koku ile bittiğinden bayanlar için çok cazip olmadığını düşünüyorum. Keşke Cacharel bu kokunun formülasyonunda ufak değişiklikler yapıp erkek parfümü olarak piyasaya sürseydi.

I just got my hand on a dupe of this beautiful perfume. And even it’s dupe is amazing. I can’t even imagine how beautiful the original is. It’s almondy dominant fragrance to me. Slightly masculine in a good way. Captivating. Definitely an autumn fragrance. Also i think, it’s a kind of perfume that you think you’ve smelled before but don’t know where. I feel like my mom would love this cause it gives me the vibe of an early 00’s perfumes that my mom wore/ would’ve worn. In a nutshell it’s worth to smell. Loves it!

A friend of mine brought home a small glass bottle of this EDP from France when it had just been released. It was an intense love affair with me spritzing away and suffocating almost everyone I met. It ended in high drama when I dropped the bottle and it broke! I quickly bought a full bottle EDT (poor student) but it never could compare to the EDP version. If you spritz a tiny tiiiiny amount it is the sweetest most darling scent ever. I'm sure Cacharel will bring this baby back! : )

I bought a bottle of this from boots for about £14 in 2006 when my son was a baby and dident really appreciate how great it was until I tried to buy more recently only to find its skyrocketed! my husband used to love this on me, and I was very fond of its sweet cherry almondness. you can buy copies from perfume parlour which I am going to do at some point, hopefully it will not be a disappointment because they do some very good desighner copies for very cheap

Dear girls! I`m in love with Gloria too and I`m lucky that I have it. If you can`t find Gloria you may try Lalique Le Parfum... it`s not the same, but very-very close... much closer than Flowerbomb... I`ve compared... :) Lalique has no cherry in it notes, but I fill cherry... I`m sure that it is the best and nearest sister of Gloria... in addition it lasts on your skin for a long period of time :) Well... try it and report your opinion, o`k?! ;)

This is a newfound LOVE for me and that rarely happens :-) It ́s so goooooood. Woody, sweet, nutty, feminine and SO sexy. I don ́t think I have ever smelled something in the same vibe, although it reminds me a little bit of "Mon Guerlain" that also have a pibe tobacco - ish sweet note, at least to my nose. I am looking forward to using this in the evenings of fall/winterseason. (Sorry about my english, not my first language)

Wonderful gourmand! I used to love this when it was released but couldn't afford it back then as a teenager. Recently I saw this in our local net auction for a very low price and I'm do glad I got it! To me, it's softer and more floral version of Guerlain's Spiritueuse Double Vanilla. Almond, cherry, amber and vanilla blended with hibiscus and rose. Intense, long lasting and good sillage, so a little goes a long way.

I can finally say that my journey looking for a Gloria's dupe ended after more than a decade. Dior Addict Eau Delice is the winner! I'm wearing both on each wrist right now and they are 85% similar, Dior having a little more sweetness. I'm actually liking Dior's better but it may be due to my Gloria's starting to go off after so many years. I still hope that one day Cacharel brings my beloved Gloria back!

Gloria is sadly discontinued, but a friend of mine still owns a bottle, which is how I was able to sample it. It’s a larger-than-life fruity, boozy, jammy, opulent, dramatic gourmand that immediately reminded me of Kilian Back To Black. It has the same dense, syrupy-sweet vibe, with prominent notes of cherry, almond, vanilla, tonka and warm spices. Highly recommended to those who love this type of scent.

A very similar base to Lalique Le Parfum. Tone down the cherry and almond, add pink pepper and ramp up the patchouli, and you've got Le Parfum. Not necessarily a substitute, but if you like one you might like the other. I like both very much. I suddenly crave a marzipan pastry with hint of cherry. Cannot believe that Cacharel have discontinued this beautiful fragrance. Have not met a person who has dislike it whilst wearing it. Went to Boots the other day to test out their other fragrances, its a wonder that they haven't gone bankrupt, they are truly awful. Would the powers that be at Cacharel at least think about re-releasing this truly magnificent fragrance. Please!!

Many of my most beloved fragrances have been sadly discontinued over the years. I dream of brands bringing back my long lost loves one day. However If I could pick only 1 female fragrance to bring back from my long list, it would be this ❤️ I find it absolutely divine. I have a couple of decent clones that I treasure, but I miss the real deal. This was absolutely stunning 🥲

I have a bottle too and I love it. I use it sparingly to make it last but I know where to get more. I haven't ever smelled anything like it either. It's very beautiful.

Bought a 30ml bottle in my local shop for £10 a month ago.Came home to check reviews on this perfume,and realized how lucky I am. Didn't even know this has been discontinued,so now I'm scared to even use it:P The smell is magical,very warm and radiant,like a walk in the park after the summer rain.I wish it was an EDP instead of an EDT though.

This was a great scent, so bad it's discontinued. I had a mini a few (many) years ago, I can say I was overwhelmed by its beauty. I tried a dupe, at first it smelled just like Gloria, afterwards I guess they changed its formula. Nothing compares to it. I shall try, though, Dior Addict Eau Delice. Edited- I couldn't find this one, either.

Edible, delicious....why on earth was it discontinued?! So sad. I bought a bottle of Gloria Oil recently (lurking in an ancient pharmacy, covered with dust) & although it wasn't quite the same it was still truely scrumptious. Very food-like - nutty, chocolatey almost. Mmmmmmm. The hunt is on for a replacement....

Hey, girls! I think you should try Benetton B United for a replacement of Gloria. They seem quite similar to me, especially in the top and heart notes. I've had Gloria a while ago and, as far as I remember,it was a bit more refined than B United. Give it a try and tell us your opinions!

Last week I found a vintage Gloria in perfect condition. It soooo lovely. Cherry, Amaretto, Almond, Vanilla and a hint of musk in background. Still very longlived and with a goood sillage. Sometimes I do find treasures and Gloria is maybe the greatest of them. Halleluleja-moment.

Gloria has been my absolute favorite since it was created 2002 and after it was discounted I haven't found anything as fantastic as Gloria. Now I have found a new gem,Guerlains Mon. If you like Gloria you should try this one. It's also oriental woody and very beautiful perfume.

I wore this when my now 19 year old son was a baby, I just bought it when get baby stuff from boots for £15! I remember hearing my husband saying "you smell like mummy's perfume" when holding our son. I'll always have a bottle of perfume parlours dupe to remember those times

I blind bought this (don't ask about the price 😬) because of the rave reviews and...I wasn't disappointed. It is absolutely delicious and addictive. Guerlain's SDV seems like a dupe of Gloria, considering Gloria came first. They are very similar, but I prefer Gloria.
