Noa

Hauntingly smooth and slightly sensual like a silk caress on naked skin, Noa by Cacharel is a little scented landscape where everything feels peaceful and romantic but, oh, so graciously full of life and tender passion.. I have to admit the first time I sprayed it on my wrist I thought I was smelling something quite unusual, not properly charming: at least for the very first moments Noa feels like a bunch of green and spicy notes put together almost randomly (someone already mentioned tobacco.. yes, I detect kind of a smoky-herbal vibe through the first stage of this EDT, though I suppose it’s due to the peculiar coriander and coffee blend). The heart, dominated by floral accords, is simply and purely beautiful, with lily and rose getting more and more distinguishable as the musk and vanilla base starts to linger with them, enhancing their tenderness; when drying down Noa gets somehow milky-nutty, curiously wandering through sweetness and freshness, resulting in both clean and warm textures on my skin but without losing an inch of its own personality... which is, of course, that of a fragrance aiming to provide the wearer with an innocent but very pronounced aura of femininity. There’s nothing messy, explosive or utterly extravagant here, just a calm but still lively voice that whispers quiet words... all in the right place, and in the right moment. I think part of the pleasure I get from wearing Noa comes from the fact I’m sure I’ve smelled this fragrance before - many and many times - but only recently I was able to properly appreciate it... it feels so familiar, so reassuring I would always keep a bottle for those moments when I just want to feel safe and relaxed. Though I think it’s one of those scents that would find their place through a daytime/work routine I wouldn’t underestimate this little gem of delicacy for more special occasions as it could be a crowd pleaser (or, at least, a significant other pleaser)... just be sure of wearing the right amount, I usually do 4-5 sprays and the sillage is wonderful, yet very close to skin and clean in a delicious, refined body lotion way. Longevity is quite good for an EDT, nothing impressive though (about 4 hours). A great fragrance that smells like the little pearl inside its beautiful bottle, pure and translucently soft... highly recommended, I will surely buy a new bottle when my Jelly edition will be finished ;)

I first smelled this perfume on a 60ish year old lady a few years ago. I kept thinking I was getting whiffs of her hand lotion every time she walked by and assumed it was probably Nivea or something a little more high end. I kept running into her at different family events and was always catching whiffs of her "lotion" and the more I smelled it the more I liked it. I finally asked what that smell was. She told me it was her perfume, called Noa. Well, I'm in my 30s, she's in her 60s, so I thought to myself "sorry but I won't be buying an old lady perfume for myself", even though I thought it was actually pretty nice. And that was that. Fast forward to last month - I was sitting on a boat with this same lady on a warm, sunny summer day and again I kept getting whiffs of her perfume. This time I thought to myself "fuck it, I'm getting myself a bottle." When I got home the next day I ordered one. After wearing it myself, I no longer think of it as a nice "old lady" scent. It actually reminds me so so much of being a teen in the late 90s/early 2000s, it's so nostalgic and just beautiful. It's soft and creamy and smells "white". Pure and innocent. Carefree. Bright and happy. I used to wear Close by Gap back in high school and Noa reminds me a lot of that one, only softer and way better. As I mentioned earlier, it smells like a nice body/hand lotion. In that way I would say it smells clean and fresh, but definitely not clean or fresh in a lemon cleaner type of way. This is a creamy, soft, powdery, dreamy, girl next door type. It gives off vibes of a laid back sunny summer day. It is the epitome of a "white t-shirt and jeans" type of scent. I want to lay on the grass and watch the fluffy white clouds float on by when I'm wearing this. It's so calming and comforting. It'll bring back childhood memories, I guarantee it. I ended up really falling in love with this perfume. It quickly went from a motherly, old lady scent to a youthful, full of life, bright sunny day. It's a breath of fresh air.

I am so glad I bought a large bottle of this a few months ago. My initial impression was that it was okay. I had procured it to replace A Drop d'Issey, as A Drop seems to be discontinued (in the United States market, at least). I do own multiple back ups of A Drop d'Issey but I wanted to find something to wear that seemed like it would stay on the market. I want to love a perfume for a long time. I don't really have a huge collection any longer and even of what I do have I only wear a small rotation. I prefer wearing one scent at length. At any rate, I didn't wear Noa again until last night, when I thought I ought to sleep in it. That was a lovely idea, and I put it on again this morning. This is beautiful and cozy. The rose is particularly lovely in this, but all of the notes create a complexity that is not at all overwhelming. The coffee and incense touches are subtle but enchanting. I used to love coffee but can scarcely tolerate it now. I am a consummate tea drinker, but this makes me want to have a cup of coffee this morning. In fact, I think I will! I also adore the peach accent and the peach blossom lotion by Nivea is perfect to layer with Noa. This was an excellent blind buy and so affordable. The value is incredible. I have a bottle of Flower by Kenzo coming in, another classic from the era of my youth, and I hope it is as much of a successful blind buy as Noa (I said I wouldn't blind buy anything again but the price for Flower is also quite good and so, I think, worth the risk). Noa is very charming. Update: I did have a cup of coffee and sit with my elderly cat Lola on 3.24.25 after I wrote this review. We had to let Lola go at the age of 20 later in the week on 3.29. This scent, my sweet girl, and a cup of (quite delicious as it's not so often had) coffee created a lovely moment.

I've come to adore the lotiony white musks of the Y2K transition years, but I went this long without knowing THIS was one of them. I think this is probably the godmother of all the musks that dominated Victoria's Secret at the start of the 2000s. The original clean and sexy. That being said, the real Nivea comparison is not the dark blue jar. On first spray, it smells EXACTLY like Nivea Creme Soft *body wash* (again, also not the light cream in the white plastic jar that's common here in the U.S., which has a different scent). The body wash was one of my favorites a couple years back, and found in abundance imported from Italy or Germany to your favorite mass-market discounter i.e. Marshalls, Ross, or TJ Maxx. It that sense, yes, it does smell like actual "soap" - watery yet creamy, baby powder for a second before blooming into a flowery and sweet musk, never animalic. And I much prefer this sweeter, creamier approach to a white musk than Jennifer Lopez's Glow, which was another blue Nivea dupe, pleasant enough but far too dusty for my liking. From the middle to the dry down, it reminds me heavily of the long-discontinued, forever missed original Body by Victoria. Except perhaps, Noa is more rounded, since Body had more shower-freshness to it. But the musk story is 95% similar to Body, to my nose. That comparison makes me more excited to own this than the intriguing coffee note - which I think is only providing a faint nuttiness instead of an actual "latte" vibe. But it is a fair note to enjoy regardless, as it only adds to its coziness and keeps the muskiness under control. I will be going a for a large size bottle soon, and probably hunt for another Creme Soft wash.

I love Cacharel Noa!!!! It’s my everyday scent. I wear it all the time, even before bed. It’s one of the first perfumes that doesn’t give me a headache or make me feel nauseous, which is huge for me. I always swirl the bottle just to watch the pearl spin around lol What I really like is that it doesn’t try hard to be a perfume. It just makes you smell good in a quiet and easy way. I can wear it anywhere without worrying about annoying others. If I had to compare this scent to a feeling or location, maybe a lake without the dirt and grass. Just pure lake, with flowers that aren't too heavy, but just light. It's nostalgic in a way that reminds me of someone from childhood who had that skin scent (not exactly a perfume scent). That makes sense because a lot of people used Dove soap back then, and honestly, this smells somewhat like Dove. It's very soapy too. Not exactly aquatic, but still gives those clean ocean-lake vibes. Hmm... maybe like taking a bath in a pool without the chlorine and ozone smell lol. That said, a couple of things keep it from being perfect for me. When it dries down, I swear I catch a little bit of a sweat smell. Not in a gross way, but... sweet sweat? It’s a little too sweet for my taste, not sugary candy sweet, just that kind of warm, sweet sweat note. I’d love it so much more if it were a bit more musky or powdery instead. Also, I don’t smell the coffee or wood notes at all lol Still, I reach for it almost every day! Before going out, before sleeping, everything. Just a really comfortable, headache‐free scent.

Uwielbiam .Przepiękny zapach .Bardzo wyczuwalne przede wszystkim kwiaty ,ale nie jest to taka ,,ładna ,ale niewyróżniająca się niczym szczególnym kwiatowość " tylko naprawdę piękna ...Niepowtarzalna ,z wyjątkowym urokiem .Wyczuwalna ,ale subtelna jednocześnie .Bardzo przyjemnie subtelna .Kojarzą mi się trochę z ogrodem po deszczu pełnym świeżych kwiatów i wychodzącym za chwilę lekkim ,ciepłym słońcem .Być może to zasługa m.in.nut zielonych w tym zapachu .Druga faza zapachu to z kolei krystaliczna czystość i świeżość ...Jak idealnej jakości pranie .Nie jest to aromat gryzący ani bardzo syntetyczny tylko o pięknej świeżości .W końcowych nutach czuć lekko nuty drzewne i bardzo delikatnie kawę .W moim odczuciu jest to całkiem przyjemne .Delikatne ,nie krzykliwe ,ale bardzo eleganckie .Ogólnie zapach jest bardzo świeży i elegancki .Myślę ,że pasuje na większość okazji ,bo nie jest jakiś bardzo intensywny czy mdlący tylko z kategorii tych ,,bezpieczniejszych " ,eleganckich zapachów .Ale wyróżnia się na tle innych perfum pozytywnie .Bardzo polecam ,szczególnie jeśli ktoś lubi kwiaty i świeżość w perfumach .

“Aww” was the first sound that came out of my mouth when I inhaled this scent. It’s like Nivea cream in a spray bottle. Like cotton balls or fluffy clouds. Airy, soft and clean. The gentlest fragrance ever. I want to cry. It’s so cute and beautiful, especially the 30ml bottle. I’m holding it like a clear and dainty crystal ball or cotton jar. Usually a fragrance hugs you—Noa does that for me, but I also want to hug it back. It’s so calming and comforting, and I feel like I’m in a cocoon of tender, love and care. Don’t mean to go the Freudian route, but the bottle also looks like a mother’s teat (can I write that? I just did). It’s such a nurturing scent, and all the notes work together in perfect harmony. It, unfortunately, has low projection, sillage and longevity, but in my heart it still tops a lot of the fragrances I’ve been smelling out there lately. I can’t believe it’s a vintage fragrance. It’s timeless. I don’t even want to be technical about it and describe the notes...it’s simply an experience. My eyes can’t stop rolling back. So happy and grateful that I learned of this fragrance.

This was a blind buy and lighter than expected. Yes it does smell like nivea lotion on initial spray. It's very light. More like a skin scent on me. No sillage but calming enough. Nice for bedtime too. Inoffensive office scent. I remember this from the late 90s and early 2000s. I think I'll use this up pretty quick because I love the top notes. Edit to add After I bought this I got really sick. I has trouble sleeping amd was bed bound.This scent made me feel better. I had just finished reading a chapter in LOTR, the fellowship of the ring. In which frodo meets elves for the first time and describes how they have a star Iike glow. I can't describe it properly but I kept dreaming about forests in the moonlight and silvery streams. I think since that I really like Noa. It's an easy reach and calming. At first I was disappointed by it because I had hoped for quite a white floral perfume akin to dove soap. But now I love this and I'm ignoring all my other fragrances. I'm running out and will be buying a 100ml back up asap. Damm it I've fallen hard.

This perfume is so underrated, yet lovely and nostalgic! In today's fashion world, full of gourmands and spices, I would call this NOA something " different", something warm, cozy and fluffy, a reminder of childhood evenings with momma and grandma. This is not a vintage smell, though, it is very much a 90's staple, with moderate personality. It doesn't shriek but it doesn't sink into blandness, either. It is there, it makes its presence felt. Late autumn and winter are most appropriate seasons to wear this beauty. I also have Dove Nourishing Silk shower gel and along with NOA and Biotherm Pure deodorant roll-on, they just blend perfectly. This smell is not Nivea, it is the smell of a luxury bath foam, shampoo or face cream. I can think of Lancome creams. All in all, it is a gem for me and it brings up nostalgia, warm embraces from beloved ones, cozy couches in winter, moments of peace and serenity. I am so happy that even the price is accessible so I will keep on buying this fragrance, whenever I am in the mood for comfort and innocence.

All-time favorite, what an understated legend. Beautiful, soft, milky, musky white fragrance. Noa doesn't really evoke notes to me, but flashes of comforting scenes - coffee bubbling in the kitchen while you snuggle into cotton sheets, a goats milk milled soap from Provence. Nivea? Yes, but settled onto warm clean skin. Before I'd even worn it, my friend exclaimed "that's you in a bottle!" at first sniff. I've faithfully worn this ever since :-) Appropriate for all seasons, daytime wear. It shines in the very early morning as it has an enveloping quality. It's a hug, not a statement. What a joy to wear, there's nothing quite like it. I also have her well-known sister scent, if you're curious about the comparison: OG a drop d'issey - another love of mine, very lilac-y and more outspokenly floral than Noa. Drop smells more like cosmetics/lotion, Noa is more savory and neutral. Both are angelic, milky, and exceptionally clean, with no hints of "blue". Different enough to own both, if you're a fan of the white musk genre.

(Revisiting my old bottles) My love for this scent has stayed constant for 20 years because it's been there since I can remember. It's one of my first fragrances, it holds so many memories, and oddly enough, like certain car designs from years ago, it's one of those rare things that manages to stay modern despite being a classic. Maybe it was the futuristic design of its time :) Soapy, soft musk. A fun baby pink fresh peony and clean white florals. Every bit of this scent radiates cleanliness, but there's also a musk that gives it that coziness, and that part feels warm. The peach is that barbie doll head again (my favorite). Coming back to it years later with more of a trained nose, I realized I still can't pick up on elements like incense and coffee. My focus always stays on the soapy feel, the clean florals and the cocooning musk, I can't get past that point, and maybe that's the sweet spot. This one stays in my collection for life. This is a staple in my collection. I initially bought it based on the reviews, but when I first sprayed it I wasn't impressed. I gave it to my mother and a few weeks later she was sitting near to me and I asked her what the beautiful smell was. She told me it was the Noa I had given to her. I went out the next day to purchase a large bottle for myself :) I would describe this as clean, soft, musky, angelic, comforting. It can be worn for any occasion but is more a day-time scent for me. Its good for layering as well. Its just a classic and amazing for the price. The image it gives me is a woman who lives alone in a gorgeous cosy home, its Sunday morning and she's had an everything shower and is wearing beautiful lounge-wear. She's curled up on the sofa under a blanket, with a cup of coffee and is watching the rain fall outside. She's not in a rush, she's taking her time and letting the day unfold as it will.

If I could only have one perfume for the rest of my life I'd probably choose this one which is funny because I never actually owned it. It's not even the smell that's so intriguing about this but the texture, I can't really explain what I mean lol. I guess it just works very well with my skin chemistry. There are so many your skin but better perfumes nowadays, but this is the one that makes me feel like a mysterious black cat who cleans herself all day long and you just want to dig your nose in her fur all the time <3 Also most beautiful bottle ever. Also I stole a 5ml vintage version from my mother's mean friend 15 years ago, that one was definitely better than the current formulation but the newer version is still very nice. Don't blind buy it though, It probably smells dated to most people under 25

I've been on the hunt for a Nivea lotion scent dupe. I got this and A Drop de Issey and neither are spot on dupes, but I get the reference. Noa is a funny, mysterious thing. It seems hyper sensitive to heat and the smell on skin is vastly different to the smell on clothes - and certainly less intense. I don't much like the scent when my nose is to it, but the gentle wafts that come off as I move around during the day are divine. It comes in smooth and fades out quietly. The ylang and LOV seem most noticeable to me, though the roasty, nutty edge that seems to bracket the scent is quite special. Someone below likened it to the smell of a house waking up around you, and I second that. It's the smell of coffee brewing over the clean, warm backdrop of someone else's early morning shower.

👌🏻This is a High Quality soapy / shower / clean EDT, that lasts better than lots of EDPs that are out on the market nowadays. 👌🏻SMELLS LIKE you just took a shower and a fresh pot of coffee is almost ready ( a hint of a coffee scent in the background) . 👌🏻GOOD FOR everything anytime any place . Meaning..if you're in the mood for this scent you can't go wrong with it , you'll SMELL LIKE YOU but better , beautifully clean like a fairy .. To me it's the most calming and COMFORTING scent , ADDICTIVELY CLEAN 🫧 🫧 with character 🧚🏻♀️ If this were to be hyped up like "MISSING PERSON" for example ,then it would have been a best seller, number 1 ,for all these clean/ bubble bath /bedtime / skin signature scents .🥇🥇🥇 Quality ,Comfort and delicacy in a bottle , and you gotta love the bottle 😃❣️

This is a soapy , I just got out of the shower type of fragrance . It does smell like Nivea body lotion like other reviewers say. It is a great bed time fragrance, safe for work and good for hot days. I did like this perfume but I’m getting rid of it since I found it too similar to espirit d’Oscar and I prefer my Oscar de la renta since it’s less soapy and more powdery. One thing I liked about Noa is that you can go heavy on the sprays and it won’t be overpowering, whereas with ODLR you have to be cautious or it can be “too much” . Edit: I sprayed ODLR on one arm and Noa on the other to compare and I take it back , they’re not too close. They both remind me of Nivea body cream but Noa is definitely on the soapier side at first, and then it dries down to a clean skin scent.

I will seriously choose not to buy a perfume just because of the branding. I'm weird that way. If it's attached to a celeb I dislike or if it suggests a character trait I don't want to be associated with then it's a hard pass for me. That actually eliminates quite a lot of scents. This one I liked right away just for the branding. Simple, modern, clean, a little unusual and not overly sexualized. It was a huge bonus when I tried it and loved it. Bought it right away (so many years ago now!). First day wearing it at work, my boss was totally enthralled with it and wanted to get a bottle for his wife. (She was less thrilled). Anyway, it was a pretty and soft scent with a musky note that really complemented everything else. Wish there were more like this one on the market.

Morning shower + black coffee. A safe, simple and easy to wear, yet impressive fragrance. The most prominent notes are musk, peony, lilly, freesia, and coffee. It has a creamy, soapy base similar to Azzaro's "Twin" but "Noa" is softer. The coffee note is very realistic and long lasting, it smells just like the steam of a hot cup of coffee. "Noa" has a calming effect and is never harsh. Its longevity is on the upper end of moderate (6+ hours) while the sillage is moderate. It feels like a warm hug. The bottle is great. The little pearl is not fixed to the bottom but floats inside the liquid freely which is quite cool. I would repurchase this but I recommend looking for a discount instead of paying full price.

SO beautiful. dries down to a creamy, smooth, and delicate scent. doesn't need to do the most to captivate. it's understated, subtle, but definitely lingers for such an airy edt (i can smell it on myself for about 3 ish hours). feels very clean and *almost* talcum powdery minus the suffocation. very unpretentious as a dove soap addict, to me this doesn't entirely read as dove soap copy paste in liquid form as i've heard some say. but it does definitely belong to the same family/ category of smells as the original dove soap in my opinion, and it is part of the reason why i love it so much. definitely an every day post-shower wear for me

Soapy lotion with a vintage feel! Noa is a very floral, musky, and soapy fragrance. I love it! Clean, elegant, and inoffensive. It smells like a floral, musky body lotion. This is my mother's favorite perfume. I always buy it for her birthday, and now I've also bought a bottle for myself. It's definitely worth it for a clean scent lover like myself. I also love the bottle and the pearl inside it. I do get the Dove + Nivea comparison. But to me, it does not smell like Dove soap. I really feel like Noa is more like a clean body lotion.
