Allegro con Brio

Allegro con Brio is so pleasantly aromatic and herbal, so soothing and relaxing. It was a bit hard to understand what I was smelling at first, it took me a while to appreciate it, but I can't move my nose away now. Such a lovely unisex perfume, very suitable paired with linen clothes, relaxing atmosphere of the nature. There are not many perfumes suitable for going to the forests, staying somewhere in the village, spending time in spas, but this in conservative amounts is quite perfect. The beginning is slightly more spiky, opening with coriander and artemisia, but later it is rosed down, LotV adds some creaminess, tenderness and a mellow sage takes the stage.

While I tested this blind, now that I'm looking at the notes and other comments, I really wonder if my sample was mislabeled. The opening was medicinal, unpleasant with an disinfectant character to it, followed by becoming very powdery with a more talcum bend to it and while leaning slightly feminine, it gave off more of a tonka powder body with floral notes. Overall, just need to smell another sample or something as nothing for me lines up here.

Here's another winner from Calè. Allegro Con Brio starts edgy and invigorating with astringent artemisia and bitter/aromatic geranium/clary sage. Wow, what an opening. Rose make its appearance blending together with geranium while a remarkable spicy note add some boldness to the fragrance. In the back, tonka beans (and amber?) start to remark their presence introducing a dose of sweetness to warm and smooth the general austerity. An intriguing floral fougere that may appeal to anyone who's into stark compositions as well as to who's into warmer ones. Rating: 7.5/10

this is a very joyful fragrance - clean, pretty, herbal yet creamy. suited for both women and men, a bit masculine (thanks to the herbal notes of geranium and sage - reminding me of that nice herbal barbershop smell), but also perfectly "pretty" and smooth (flowers, tonka bean, clove). Nice silage! All in all, clean herbal and later a tad sweater and creamy, an allrounder.
