Assolo

"Assolo" was on my wishlist for a long time, when I decided to finally buy a full bottle I hesitated as I've never written a review about this and in all honesty did not remember how it smelled. I'm glad that I did decide to go trough with a full bottle purchase, when it arrived and I had my first wear I instantly remembered why I love this scent. "Assolo" is apple, but it's not your "apple tart" gourmandy perfume, it's also not your "fresh fruity" fragrance. "Assolo" is THAT apple. It's the green, not yet ripened apple you find in your apple orchard. And you want it badly. When you go by the tree, you take a sniff from the tree as it's not yet ready to be eaten, you don't just get the scent of the fresh, but a bit sour apple, you also feel how the leaves and the tree itself smells, you even can smell the air breeze around the tree. This smells like July and woods and this makes me happy. It has an excellent staying power and I am very glad I own a full bottle. It's completely unisex and this is going to be mine and SO's go-to shared summertime fragrance. This is a masterpiece and I wish this wasn't the only one I've tested from CALE FRAGRANZE D'AUTORE as this is a damn good work from them.

really excellent work, and ideal for spring, so i'm glad i just discovered assolo. it has a nice tart/sour apple center that sticks around forever and an unusual but pleasant wood base that over time really resembles bamboo or another tropical wood (teak?). a bit unusual but most enjoyable and a welcome addition

Testing blind that apple and floral combo came off to me as more hintly strawberry. Even spritzing it again now I do not get much in the way of apple in any form (tart, cider, glazed, cinnamon), if apple it is more of a faux, candy apple like a jelly rancher. The floral elements do balance out the sweetness and there's a hint of musk and overall powdery vibe for most of the day, but I'm not getting any woods, and it's overall feeling leans more feminine to me than masculine. It's another from this house with an Ok, pleasant, but not a very particular personality.

Even if the name Assolo may sound something like A**hole for an english speaking, in italian it simply means "Solo" and it obviously refers to a musical solo. The concept behind this fragrance is to celebrate the apple note as if it were the main voice of an orchestra, and the result is quite successful. Assolo opens with a blast of astringent artemisia, lime and unripe green apple immediately joined by slight floral patterns and a strong, almost scratchy, woody (cedar and teak) base. The overall effect is of a quite persistent "fresh" composition that's pretty enjoyable throughout (assuming you're into consistent woody fragrances). Good. Assolo is available as EDT and as part of the Les Concentrés. Rating: 7.5/10

Assolo is a combination of green apple and woody notes. The apple is not as realistic as I would like it to be. It's a little sweeter on the beginning but get's more sour as it dries down. Overall, it smells a bit synthetic but very refreshing. I like it, because it's unique, but parts of it remind me of Bahiana Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier or ladies Light Blue. Definitely not a gourmand but fresh fragrance. This this a review for EDT.

I really like this crispy green apple. Sooo cozy, fresh and crunchy at the same time. It reminds a lot of Light Blue. If you like LB you might like this one as well. It seems that it is hard to find. I don't like the name though, as previously mentioned about as**ole :D

Mmmmmm, Apple-melon! Very refreshing on the same time calming. Reminds me a bit of Prada d' Iris without the herb-thing going on. Lays down woody, juicy & with a perfect twist with musc and fresh lime.

To me the apple is heard basically. Green, juicy, unripe. Apple solo (Assolo!).
