Red Velvet

Fluffy Red Velvet Cake with Sweet & Tangy Vanilla-Cream-Cheese Frosting... Imagine cream cheese whipped into a frenzy with icing sugar and vanilla to arrive at this fluffy & slightly tangy concoction. This is predominantly a vanilla scent, and I get mostly the vanilla-cream-cheese vanilla frosting. The red-velvet cake (chocolate cake dyed red with food colouring) makes an appearance as it's drying down. Lemon here brings a faint sour note to help evoke the cream-cheese frosting. There's a chocolate-cake-patchouli underneath. This has moderate performance for a body spray, and lasts longer on clothes, or in warmer weather. This is a nice twist on a fluffy vanilla-chocolate scent, although only available in the small bottle. It's a love for me. Enjoy! Update: After I first tested this, I had the chance to make a cake mix of red velvet cake that came with the pre-packaged icing. When I tested this again more recently I was struck by how the opening smells like that experience, with some soft chocolate tones and the pre-packaged icing. Still a love.

This smells like cashmere & snowflakes from bbw. But a bit softer. > was just smelling it thinking what is that familiar smell?. & realize that was it.. i would go spritz the bbw on my other arm but im in bed all cozy w red velvet on me. & I feel like my grandma is close by..(& not in an ugh grandma purfume kind of way.) is how comforting this smells to me.. i smell a powdery confection sugar of soft white musky Amber? More than any cake smell. I love it. & the 4 pack it came in took the price down to $6 each. Im not disappointed in their smells at all

It’s a lovely gourmand fragrance, smells just like a freshly baked red velvet cake. It has the sweetness of the actual cake, but then there is this milky sweet cream like touch to it that is the cream cheese frosting. It does not last very long, however it is pretty strong and you can smell it from quite a distance away.❤️ Rating - 3/5

Wow they finally added this! Although the release date was 2011 at the very latest. I'm pretty sure 2015 was when it was DC'd. Loved this! I dont get the notes though. It smelled very chocolatey with a slight balsamic vinegar. Very nice spray

It’s complicated. At initial spray, I smell the most rich, decadent, cream cheese-filled Red Velvet Cake. I’m transported into a state of indulgence with a Carlos Bakery cake from the vending machine at the mall or airport. Then, not even five minutes later, the smell fades into a powdery cosmetic smell that resembles a lipstick that my mother used to wear in the early 2000s. My partner comments that he smells vanilla, but all my nose can detect is the scent of y2k-filled air as one opens up their makeup bag. This scent has some deeply undecided potential, and although the full-sized bottle is discontinued, I would eagerly buy every bottle in the store if it were to be reformulated to maintain that initial spray feeling.

nice realistic cakey vanilla. good for a quick freshen up, doesn't last long but the sillage is quite good for a body spray.

It works. It's a coconutty vanilla that sorta smells like cream cheese and cake, but it doesn't have much of a coco scent. I've said it before and I'll say it again, a traditional red velvet is not a chocolate cake dyed red, but it does have coco in it, this fragrance doesn't. I'm sure if it was repackaged as "coconut vanilla" no one would notice. The red velvet exists only because you're looking for it. If you want an actual well done red velvet scent, I made a review on Pink Sugar Red Velvet, it could be much better but it is better than this. GooseCreek's Red Velvet Cupcake body mist is the most well done red velvet scent I've ever come across, although the candle is a little more complex the body spray is still nearly perfect.

Yummy gourmand. Cheap and barely lasts but nice for a quick gourmand cakey scent

I have a DW Red Velvet candle that I love and wanted to wear a fragrance that smells like a red velvet cake. This amazing little perfume is so realistic to a red velvet cake scent. It’s a light lemon berry cake dusted with rich powdery cocoa. No patchouli in it to me. It’s discontinued but I took a chance and bought it on EBay. $20 well spent. I’m on the hunt now for a buttered popcorn perfume with no caramel note!

Immediately after spray you really can pick up a red velvet cupcake smell, like muted chocolate/buttermilk. But shortly after it fades into something very hard to describe, kind of like old school Bounce dryer sheets. Not unpleasant, very "clean laundry" smell but not gourmand at all.

The citrus lasts for a few seconds, reminding that this is a CHEESECAKE scent. However, it very quickly dries down into a vanilla forward scent, that is quite buttery. It has a clean aspect to it - not heavily gourmand.
