Tropical Dream

This brings back so many memories of 03!

The nostalgia that comes along with this fragrance... Where do I begin? It's 2004. You're wearing a short flared plaid skirt, matching polo & your make up probably has a bit too much shimmer to it. The middle school hallways are filled with girls passing by that either smelled like this..(in the midwest, anyway. Where girls wanted to get as close to 'beachy' as they could) OR Pink Sugar.... This one I grabbed off of Walmart shelf, because the sunset & the pink caught my 13 year old eye. I remember taking a bottle of this on a summer vacation to a hotel on a lake. It actually does remind me of sunsets on water and more innocent days. It's a powdery, shampooey, young preteen scent & the second I smell it, I'm overwhelmed with memories of chunky blonde streaks in straightened hair, Teen People magazine articles on Lindsay Lohan & AIM conversations.

One of the first "fragrance" I got. They were sold at the drug store next to soaps for under 15$. I just remember some artificial jasmine and citruses. That was fun at 14 years old.

I wore this all through my freshman year of college, and I just discovered a full bottle of the body spray in my closet. How have I not used it all these years?! It really does remind me of Hawaii; it's not exactly flowery OR fruity (one doesn't overpower the other), but a light, fresh blend of both, like sweet-scented rain. Similar to B&BW's Cucumber Melon but without the slightly bitter undertone.

I have the blue version called Calgon Perfect Bliss Intense EDP. The bottle looks the same but the plastic parts are a light blue instead of pink. It smells so much like 1980’s fabric softener. Very nostalgic. This perfume isn’t on the Fragrantica website yet so I’m leaving my review here.
