CK IN2U POP for Her

CK IN2U POP is really hard to describe. The notes meld together so well, you don't experience that jarring transition from note to note that you might experience with other fragances. All at once it's both fresh and aromatic, then it's fruity and strangely gourmand making for a tempting elixir. Because it is a chypre fragrance, there seem to be hints of other fragrances there like Sand and Sable or Coty Wild Musk. The fragrance it most reminds me of is Revlon's discontinued Intimate Musk. I have been searching for that fragrance or a substitute for years. I think I've finally found a suitable replacement! POP is a little lighter than the original due to the infusion of the sparkling lime, but it definitely makes a wonderful first impression. The vanilla, lime, and wood notes stand out the most on my skin. It does wear close to the skin, but I have found that it lasts for hours--even after applying it lightly. I didn't find that the fragrance develops all that much, it is pretty much the same fragrance from beginning to end--and that's not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes, I find fragrance transition tedious and irritating..sometimes I WANT a fragrance to stay the same from start to finish, there are no worries on that score with POP. What you begin with is pretty much what it ends with, just a bit softer and slightly more woody is the effect. Overall, I think it is a great fragrance and I will buy more when I am out. I would rank this 8 out of 10. P.S. I found it two weeks ago in TJX for 24.99.

I got CK IN2U Pop bundled with the original CK IN2U at a great bargain from an online seller who is destashing a collection of perfumes that were mostly gifted to her and her daughters. I was planning to give these as gifts also, but being a frag addict, I just had to test them myself. After reading the description on this page, I expected to like Pop more than the original. I also expected it to smell something like an Escada summer fragrance, as it is touted as a fresh, fruity-floral fragrance with tropical notes. Upon spraying one on each arm, boy, did these two leave me confused! Experiencing the top notes about the same time, I was surprised to find I didn't like Pop as much as the original, which had a sweet, powdery vibe that I could imagine myself wearing. It didn't smell like any of Escada's summer fragrances that I've tried, after all. It was like a citrusy-fruity fizzy drink to me (but maybe that's my imagination playing tricks on me because of how the bottle looks like). I didn't dislike it, but I didn't particularly like it either. Surely, this was going to be gifted. But wait! Now, Pop has changed and it is no longer citrusy. I'm honestly not sure what I'm smelling, but it is just faintly sweet and fresh. Perhaps it is the plum blossom sweetened by vanilla? It is a little creamy but very light and fresh. I'm liking it now more than the original IN2U, which is relentlessly sweet and powdery, not bad but threatening to be overwhelming should the weather get too hot. Strangely enough, it smells so much like a lotus flower facial mist that I own and whose fragrance is so familiar but I couldn't identify. I love its scent so much, I wish I could figure out what it reminds me of that I may be able to wear it as a fragrance. Well! It seems IN2U Pop smells so much like it in the dry down, and I am now in danger of keeping it! Does anyone know if plum blossom or any of the listed notes of Pop smell anything like lotus flower? I assume my facial mist smells like lotus flower since that's what's written on the bottle. If anyone can enlighten me on this, please drop me a personal message. I think I'll give IN2U Pop another road test to see if it really smells like that facial mist I love so much. Then we'll see if I could actually bear to part with it.

26. may 2015 I don ́t quite lke the original, because it tends to turn "cologne-ish" on me in the drydown so i was sceptical about this version first. Got the bottle in the thrift shop for a song, so i thought why not... Let me say that i like this limited edition very much!!! Not quite the "love", but very enjoyable. It actually reminds me of some older Escada summer scents from late 90 ́s, before they turned into sickenly synthetic mess. It is actually quite close to "Sunny fruity" IMO and also has something from the "Tropical punch". I like the opening very very much, sadly it does not last as long as i wish it to last (juicy and yummy papaya!), but when it transforms into a middle stage i like how the berries not overshadowing the rest of the composition. Very well blended indeed. The drydown is more woody than fruity, yet still smells like a fruity wood :) Just what you might need for the summer! Not sickening sweet, not too aquatic fresh, just the right portion of everything. A keeper and glad that i didn ́t get rid of it, as with the original happened. :)))

Polar opposite of CK IN2U... Pop is very light, soft and smooth. I smell each note clearly but each one is subtle in its presence. Its the tamest version of each note I think I've ever smelled! Very innocent and mellow. Somehow the combination of fruits give it a soapy quality. It reminds me of cucumber/melon scented body wash rather than powdery bar soap like iris. Pop is slightly fruity, slightly tropical and slightly vanilla and at times like a Fuzzy Navel cocktail. Unlike the original, not one note is sticking out more than the other. The woodsy notes are virtually nonexistent compared to IN2U's prominent cedar/lemon/vanilla. Pop is feminine and girly. It goes on light and stays light/skin scent.. LOVE the color of the bottle! My husband just thought I had a drink sitting next to me! haha

Hmmmm. Try before you buy. I am a regular user of Obsession and IN2U for Her (which I love) so when I saw this, I bought a bottle. On the plus side : it's different. On the minus side - on me it smells like a slightly sour fruit juice that turns to a soapy smell. I suppose in this case it's not too bad that the smell doesn't last! It has little staying power. I can wear it on very hot summer days, since its juicy freshness is cooling and not at all cloying, but there are many other fragrances I far prefer over this one.
