CK One

My father's fragrance. He got a 200ml and after many, many years the bottle still has enough juice which I'm guessing is about 50ml or more to pass on to the next generation. It's old so the smell probably changed over the years so my review will be based from his bottle since we don't have a new one. (I don't think getting a new bottle would be worth it, CK All would be a better choice but honestly you would probably better off with Middle Eastern fragrances.) Now let's move on to the smell, it does smell dated compared to the fragrances we have nowadays but that doesn't mean it's bad. It's a classic, citrus-y (it's also has sweetness, to my nose.) and floral fragrance. The smell alone gives you a warm and cozy feeling and the best part is: anyone you could ever think of could pull this fragrance off. And, this is one of those fragrances which get better when you sweat! Great for school, office and fitness. About it's performance, again since the bottle I have is old and my father stored it in the bathroom which is very bad for your fragrances so for me, the longevity was bad. (No exact number but I'd say it wouldn't last for more than 3-4 hours.) Projection on the other hand was about the same, about moderate I'd say. (If someone were to stand close to you and your shoulders were touching.) for like an hour and a half. And sillage would be...alright I guess. Overall, just don't get a bottle of this one unless you really really want it, or it's a gift meant for someone. It's a safe blind buy in my opinion. There are many fragrances in it's price range that are much, much better.

This fragrance is a good example of what I can't stand about "the fragrance community". The stuff is great. I think it leans a little bit more feminine than masculine, but it's great. I find it to be so unique, even though it was put out so long ago, there isn't much smells like it today. Azzaro Chrome has a bit of that vibe, but that's really it. But if this ever actually gets mentioned any YouTube video, it basically gets trashed. They talk about how it was good at one time but it's been worn too much so now it sucks. Or they complain about reformulations. No. This, the stuff you can buy now, is good. No fragrance is worth hunting down to spend a fortune from some eBay seller in hopes of getting some old formulation. Today's CK One is good. And people complain about longevity. No this isn't some scent you have to scrub off or it'll be on you forever thing. And if you do that ridiculous "one spray behind each ear and one on each wrist, if you're feeling rebellious" nonsense, it'll only last a short period of time. But stop counting your freaking sprays. This idea that if I spray too much I'm gonna offend someone is crazy. No don't go spray on something heavy and immediately jump on an airplane. But sho does that? Who sprays on a scent am immediately gets into a crowd of people? Just wear it. It smells great. It smells different than other stuff people are wearing. And it lasts a decent amount of time IF YOU ACTUALLY WEAR IT

Rating: 9.0/10 CK One by Calvin Klein is a timeless classic, and the one that started it all for me. It’s more than just a fragrance; it’s a time capsule. One spray and I’m instantly transported back to high school: late nights watching infomercials for Pure Moods (the CD set not sold in stores), early mornings, and Nas’ “It Was Written” playing in the background as the soundtrack to my life. This was the scent that defined my high school years, and it’s hands-down the reason I fell in love with fragrances in the first place. While others were into Polo Blue, Clinique Happy, or Hugo Boss, I was all in on CK One and Cool Water. For years, CK One was my daily signature. Clean, citrusy, and effortlessly cool. It struck the perfect balance between fresh and noticeable, just a solid fragrance that always delivered. Even now, in 2025, it still holds up as a gold standard for everyday wear. I’ve owned more bottles of CK One than I can remember, and I always have a bottle on hand, including right now, in 2025. Wearing it today floods me with memories and reminds me why I started this fragrance journey. CK One isn’t just a scent, it’s my foundation. A classic. And for me, it will always be the one that started it all.

This was the first fragrance I smelled on someone and had to get for myself. It’s still my everyday scent and I love how it’s so clean and fresh but the citrus is still prominent enough to cut through the white floral and musky notes and remain refreshing. It’s an intimate scent, where the only people who really smell it are my friends and family when we hug or sit close to each other, but in that way it’s subconsciously become mine and I smell like that to them, which I don’t mind at all. It just works well on my skin. Only issue is that the scent barely lasts past 3-4h, maybe not even 2 hours in hot subtropical summer. It smells too good not to use though - maybe will opt for a different version next time

I love love love this scent... it’s so light and uplifting. It’s what I imagine those frutiger aero pictures to smell like. If you live in Hong Kong, it smells a bit like that boujee mall IFC, it also smells like a hotel lobby. It’s a beautiful unisex scent, so simple and clean for wearing anywhere. It’s something I love for after the pool or after a shower during the summer. Yes it dissipates so quickly but you do get a lot of product for the price, not to mention it’s always on discount, I got this for 110 HKD (~11 pounds). To increase the longevity for the scent I apply the Spanish cream/moisturiser Xhekpon on the areas I plan to spray, I find they have similar scents.
