CK One Summer 2008

I remember fighting with myself on multiple occasions about buying this one or not. I ended up smelling this one at least a dozen times at Macys, I never pulled the trigger on this one though. Introduced in 2004, I really liked CK one summer, I didn't end up getting that vintage either as I thought it was very good and overall the summer line was a great idea by CK. 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010 & 2011 were all amazing years and I bought them all. in 2008 & 2009 these vintages were a bit different from what they had been doing up to this point, although 2008 reminded me a bit of the 2004 vintage. I didn't think with it's minty, melon,woody musk notes that is was as amazing as the tropical fruit notes or previous vintages. Still you couldn't go wrong with any of these years, they were all very pleasant to the nose. And credit to CK for actually changing and trying different notes each year. Scent:8.5 Longevity:4 Sillage:5 Unique/Industry First:7 Quality:7 This did remind me of the original 2004 edition that started it all, but at the time it was too much of a change to buy it from preveious vintages. Looking back it actually smelled great, but I was very picky about CK one Scents. If you do get a chance to purchase this, anything 2011 and before were all special. Enjoy

I've owned this since well, 2008 and it's still one of the most uplifting scents ever for me! This transports me to a tranquil island paradise every single time! Another simple yet goody from CK. :) Synthetic? No doubt! Masterpiece? Probably not! Feel-good? For sure! Refreshing? Most definitely! Therapeutic? Yes doctor! For a fresh fragrance this has good durability on my skin, at least 6 hours during which it's still pretty noticeable. I love the colour of the liquid, a cool turquoise which is more blue than green, which really matches the feeling of the scent perfectly. I'm keen to find something similar as I'm getting towards the end of my bottle even though I've been using it sparingly, which is good as like the previous reviewer stated, if over-sprayed it can get a little too invasive to some noses ;) PS: Worth a try even if you think you don't like watermelon/cucumber accords, I thought I didn't but this is lovely!

I am in love with this fragrance. I bought it for my boyfriend (I think it's a very masculine rather than unisex smell), for his birthday back in 08, not knowing it was limited edition. He loved it and used it all the time. When I looked it up later and realised it was discontinued and (after disliking the new one for 09) I immediately told him to start using it moderately so it wouldn't run out, because I love it THAT much. There's barely any left but I refuse to let it all disappear, just so I can smell it every now and then.

Syrupy at the start, kinda tart, pretty good on the drydown. Definitely unisex. A fun fragrance. Smells like fruity hand-soap after a while. Multiple people have commented that it 'smells like summer', or even 'smells like a heated pool'. 7/10 (Probably smelled good for $50 or so in 2008 but for over $100 in 2018, you should really consider if the notes + performance are/is what you're looking for)

smells fkn incredible ---- like how i'd imagine a fruity cocktail would taste like ------ a perfect mix of fruit juices but with a very SLIGHT, very attractive non offensive 'grownup' musk undertone. cant believe my father used it as a toilet spray ---- WHAT A WASTE!!!! CALVIN KLEIN NEEDS TO BRING THIS BACK!!!!!
