Deep Euphoria Eau de Toilette

Calvin Klein perfumes are affordable and available and I’m always buying them for gift purposes, but somehow when I have to buy for myself I generally shy away. One reason is because the scents are usually very generic and I don’t find them standing out in a crowd.. Deep Euphoria EDT was one that I truly liked and I would buy for myself once the price goes down a bit. It is light in a beautiful subtle floral way, and not too sweet or strong like the original. I love rose, woods and musk and this one delivers them in just the way I would want to wear.

Almost decluttered this because I haven't reached for it in years. I remember the og Euphoria being a lovely fragrance, but I always felt too young to wear it. I knew I had liked this one better, but it had been so long since I'd sprayed it, I forgot the fragrance. As I was prepping to list it, I realized that I had put a good sized dent in it. Surely at some point I reached for this often enough. I decided to test it out and my, am I glad I did. My nose has changed a lot since 2017, and I have developed a deep appreciation for chypre and floral aquatics. Deep Euphoria EDT is a beautiful blend of both. Now, I don't know what current batches are doing, if this is even still in production. My bottle is from the year this scent was released. I know CK is notorious for reformulations that are mere shadows of fragrances that are still warm. I wish they would leave well enough alone. In any case, the bottle I have is not a light fragrance by any means. It is fresh with strength to it. The aquatic quality comes across as deep artic waters, fresh and turbulent. That is softened by the air of water lily and the watery sweetness of fresh pear. This is followed by a deepening freshness from lush, dewy, and full red rose... green and sweet. Finally peppery driftwood and a touch of salt from a soft and inoffensive musk settle the storm. The bottle doesn't match this scent at all. This should definitely be dark blue instead. Unique, long lasting, and beautiful, I can not believe I almost let this one go.

I had a strange experience with this– when I first got it, something in the opening notes (i think the lily?) was too sharp for me, it almost had a peppery character. It was a shame, cause I loved how it dried down, but I couldn't stand that opening. I put it in storage with the intention to maybe give it to a friend who would enjoy it and promptly forgot about it lol. Now, a few months later, I tried it again and I don't experience the same sharpness at all. The florals seems more soapy now. I don't know if it's the perfume that changed, my sense of smell or something with my skin but I kind of love it! It dries down to a gorgeous, woody scent that could read as more unisex. Will absolutely keep wearing this!

This is so light and pretty. Definitely an aquatic feeling coming through but also that beautiful rose. The pear I think adds to the watery nature because it's such a light and watery fruit. I like this one especially for warm weather. Performance is not great but it is an EDT so it can be forgiven.

Nice, velvety rose scent that is also very fresh. It's full of contradictions. It's subtle, but sexy and alluring. All in all, it's true, deep summery euphoria, perfect for almost all seasons.
