Eternity Amber Essence For Men

I smelt this once thoroughly on paper and it's basically a pure amber scent like MFK Grand Soir, but the amber is sharper. It's the same sharp amber you get in Clive Christian Blonde Amber, minus the dried-fruits of that scent. It's moderately-sweet like MFK Grand Soir or CC Blonde Amber. As a pure amber scent, you could say it's a bit simple, but that also makes it elegant for date nights or events. The sharpness makes it a bit more interesting than MFK Grand Soir. This Calvin Klein Amber Essence is a *really* nice amber scent and it's on-par with MFK Grand Soir based on my first impression. Don't know what an amber scent is like? It's warm and vanilla-esq but classier-smelling and less edible/gourmand than vanilla. Suitable for winter and fall. Completely unisex and I really encourage both men and women to test this in-store - both because it's that good, and because I don't want this eventually getting discontinued (because it's that good). Note that I do see the relatively low rating here on Fragrantica and I'm actually very surprised. To emphasise, this would be very attractive on a woman, and I'd prefer a woman wearing this men's version much more than the women's version of this Amber Essence. Also, this is nothing like Boss Bottled Absolu, which I own. I almost exclusively buy clones, now owning ~220 bottles of mostly clones, but this is one of the few designers I'll definitely want to buy because it's that good. I'll give it one more sniff in-store, then I'll likely buy a 200ml. I would have never considered a Calvin Klein fragrance given my existing collection, and because I only know them for their more affordable freshies, but luckily the friendly store clerk happened to show me this scent among many others. I need one more sniff in-store to confirm, but currently this would be in my top 10 fragrances. Update: After smelling this fragrance a few more times, my opinions are the same, and I purchased the 200ml bottle. Update: My bottle required no maturation, and my opinions are the same. Sheesh, I personally really like this scent. But there should be testers at your local shops so I recommend testing first because everyone's tastes are different.

Maybe this one just goes well with my skin chemistry. I guess I can understand why some might not like the fragrance. It’s not your typical CK Eternity, but I can definitely smell the original Eternity DNA from its ancestor. Especially after it begins to settle after initially spraying. It’s got that Eternity soapy smell deep in the background. Eternity was my signature scent in middle school and all throughout high school, so I know every crevice of its DNA intimately. Plus, my sense of smell is very keen and developed. This is part of the Eternity family through and through. The swoon factor is back in full force - like it never left. But at the same time, it’s probably as different from the original as you can possibly get while still giving a nod to the OG. Anyway, this fragrance deserves much better than its currently being rated. Sure you can find higher quality niche fragrances. But if you love the original Eternity and want a much more modern, darker, slightly smoky, niche version; I recommend giving it a sample. Because it performs very well on my skin and clothes. Based on how people act around me when I wear it, it definitely enhances my aura. Your experience could be different. All I know is I love it, and when I give a hug or someone gets within arms reach - it works its magic. I bought the 200ml bottle because I will be spraying it with reckless abandon all 2025 and onwards.

Wearing this now, as I visited the local Macy's and they had it to test. This is another good release from CK. As soon as I sprayed it on, I was immediately reminded of Boss bottled elixir, and Boss bottled Absolu. But a bit more...'wearable', or versatile, than those are. As I sit here, I am testing all three together and while they differ, they still play in the same sandbox. The eternity seems to be a touch sweeter than both of the Boss offerings. This is absolutely NOTHING like any of the Most wanted line at all. Get your noses checked gentleman. Cannot comment on performance at the moment, but the two or three sprays on my hand are pretty strong over 2 hours later, which is impressive. I think it goes without saying that this is not worth $120 USD for a 3.3 oz bottle, but these ALWAYS show up on the discounters in a month or so after release for more than half off anyway. I'd wait. And if you have Boss elixir or absolu, you might find this redundant. Just my personal opinion and testing here. Not a bad fragrance at all, but not worth retail... Edit: This stuff will go under the radar, because the youtube shills and 'influencers' won't pay any attention to it. SO when it hits discounters, I'm picking up a couple bottles. It really is VERY good, and easily bests 90% of the competition in what will be its 'discounted' price range.

*** My First Calvin Klein*** Its a total surprise the way this perfume smells. CK Amber Essence is simply awesome fragrance. Scent Profile - 1. Opening is luxurious sweet ambery 2. The middle still stays with that mild amber and vanilla kicks in 3. The dry down is awesome powdery, vanilla and amber. Longeviity - It stays for 7 to 8 hours on skin and longer on clothes. Silage - 2 feet at arms length and any hand movements will definatetly catch up some noses. Repeat Buying - For sure this can be one of those signature scents to keep it for ever. The scent is so good u cant stop smelling yourself. Totally compliment getter. This is a very nice, well-blended cologne. I get a very nice sweet incense and amber in the style of Amouage Outland, Rayhaan Terra, or Boss Bottled Absolute. I was sampling different colognes at Sephora and have always been a fan of Calvin Klein. The knock on longevity of Calvin Klein fragrances is a non-issue with Amber Essence, as I got a 4-hour scent bubble and 9 hours on my shirt. I don't like to put age limits on colognes, but my 58-year-old wife told me she really liked it, and a young man and a young woman, both around 24, asked what I was wearing. I picked up a set that included two bottles, 100 ml and 30 ml, of parfum strength for 59 dollars from Jomashop. Put this scent in a bottle of the hot brand of the month, and it would be 200 to 300 dollars.

One of the best and strongest amber fragrances I've enjoyed. Recently purchased from a discount site for only $55 for 100 + 30ml, a great bargain. IT's very strong and projects well, and will last 8-12+ hours for sure. The bourbon vanilla and mandarin create this cognac/grand marnier scent behind the intense vanillic amber accord. And there's also this intriguing spice element and soft musky background that isn't overdone or in the way. A very classy fragrance that anyone can enjoy. This was a pleasant surprise for me, since I truly dislike the Obsession for men and a couple of the other Eternity line, despite the notes being things I do like.

Even though no incense or smoky notes are listed but its definitely a very smoky amber (It smells like amber with some incense but not too over the top smoky, but it is very noticeable). I kinda like smoky scents so I'm definitely good with this one. This scent might be polarizing to some because this is a bit strong and pretty smoky, so my best advice to anyone who uses this, to use it VERY LIGHTLY!! (like......spray into the air and walk into the mist.....seriously!). Its quite potent. If done lightly, it smells pretty good and not overly cloying. This bottle will last a long time because very little goes a very long way with this fragrance.

This is what Dolce & Gabbana wanted 'The One Parfum' to be, but they missed the mark. Personally, this is one of the best of 2025. But that is my opinion. I like to factor price and overall value into what I add to my collection. Hard-hitting aromatic amber with tons of performance and great bang-for-the-buck. Can be had at discounters for a steal now (I paid less than $55 for a 100ml), and the fact that it didn't have influencers gushing makes it an even better option. But don't take my word for it. Go try it at the store, and see what you think. The ratings on this site are an absolute joke.

I got it as a gift,wouldnt have bought it myself,but after several wears I can say its ok. It is long lasting and good projecting for two hours,its biggest pro is its relaxing nature and feel,nothing grounbreaking but smooth and fitting for most occasions,not loud or attention grabbing.Smooth orange darkened and smoked with semisweet amber and finished with boozy vanilla. Nice allrounder good for spring,autumn,winter and summer nights,wouldnt be for a summer heat day. Nice stuff!

The notes published confuse the populace. This is a leather-like main scent with quinoline and sandalwood materials, the vanilla is kept to a minimum for wearability-marketability luckily, and there's clearly patchouli taking the center stage. Continues the good longevity work of Eternity Parfum, which is sweeter than this, but it doesn't try to please the masses that much. Totally collectable as part of the Eternity line. Reminds me of JPG Le Male essence the most.

A fantastic fragrance. It's in the realm of Boss bottled absolu but they're far from being redundant Amber essence is strong masculine and unapologetic. Very well blended and could easily cost two, three times more. One of absolutely best releases from the house in recent years. Btw it's sibling also from last year the Aromatic essence is also very very good* Total Bangers

Pleasantly surprised at how amazing this fragrance smells. It's in the same field as the Azzaros TMW and the Stronger With You lines but think of a richer, darker, deeper, mature and more incense version of that. An absolute masterpiece of a fragrance. I only got a small sample but I'll definitely will be looking to add this one to my collection.

I dont even know why ppl vote moderate longevity and sillage. Its literally room filling and next day you can smell the scent on tshirt... I did never expect a high quality fragrance from CK tbh.. I also want to add this : I wore a shirt for two hours and wear this fragrance. After a week i can still smell amber and vanilla so much.

L O V E I T ! - nothing more to add, honestly! Imagine it's made by Mathieu Nardin, the nose behind Smoking Hot by Kilian, and it says it all! PS: even the backup bottle's backup bottle has a backup bottle.. I can only say this about this and Terre d'Hermes.. having 4x of them, to me both these frags are materpieces!

This is very unique for this brand. The scent reminds of the PDM DNA almost like Carlisle. It's warm, a bit sweet and a bit spicy with some depth but not quite like PDM. To be expected given the difference in price. I get some tobacco as well. It's a mature scent and very smooth. Fall/winter. Very good. 8/10

Another great release after Aromatic essence. Well done Calvin Klein They're stepping up their game like Hugo Boss recently Amber Essence is well blended, long lasting and smells on a top tier designer level. As soon as it goes down in price I'll scoop up 100ml or 200ml bottle 👍

Wow , like many other people I’m sure you thought the same thing I did ... Eternity for Men in 2025 ??? WTH is going on. Then I tested on skin and immediately made my purchase. Beautiful blend and absolutely nuclear performance. What a great release. 10/10

Fantastic, especially compared to CK's other weak offerings. Long lasting, not eternal, but respectable. Spicy, fresh, and sweet. A complex scent. Maybe, just maybe, Calvin Klein could be learning to make good perfume again.

Very close to Boss Bottled Absolu :) Very good too. Strong and projecting. Not liked by most women but I do not care because I like it :) Tommorow may be I will make comparison with Boss ...

Think of the dark nature of azzaro most wanted.. the resinous ambery nature. Multiply that nature by 1000. You get this beauty. Strictly cold weather. In the air it smells great.

Orange liqueur cough syrup from the first spray. First time I tried it I was REPULSED. But then it settled... I’ve been hooked ever since. Sensational.

I got a sample of this. Damn. Did not expect it to smell that good. They could have made it a bit spicier but all in all smooth and addicting.

Whoa, this smells absolutely incredible. If they would have named this Calvin Klein eternity Elixir it would have been fine with me. There is only been a few times that I almost did a back flip from smelling a fragrance for the first time. This was one of them. MFK grand Soir meets Boss bottled elixir topped off with some ginger. I might write a full review in the future afther really getting to know this potent scent. Minor update after skin wearing: On skin it smells different than on paper. On skin it is dark ambery, classy and similar to Givenchy gentleman society with alot less of that narcissus note.

I rated a 4. It is not for me personally, but it is exactly what it says. It is just not my style, it has eternity DNA no matter what notes say however, it is an amber bomb! Little too sweet in a way, idk. Sold to my friend, had to pick it up as it was mis priced at $30. It projects very well, and longevity is insane with these new CK Parfums. Enough sprays and it will survive a wash on clothes and maybe shower. Aromatic essence is more my style and CK one essence Parfum is great, CK Defy Parfum is wonderful and potent af. This is what they say, and if that's what you're looking for then you will love it!

It's a nice scent. First time i smelled it i didnt liked it much. It has that synthetic and medicinal Oud Accord. But this second time, i understand the BB Absolu comparisions. It has this oriental/Amber vibe with a good dose of mandarine. Really nice. If you are starting out your collection, this could be a great winter scent and, the Aromatic Essence, a great summer scent.

Smells similar to Versace Eros Najim and Lattafa Qaeq Al Fursan Untamed, I'm surprised no one else has said so. Either way it smells fantastic. It's hard to not reach for when it's cool and I love wearing it to bed and enjoying it as I fall asleep and the whiffs I get throughout the night if I happen to wake up for a moment.

Pretty good release. It's simple but effective. Opening is amazing and the dry down is good too, sorta like a cross between Azzaro The Most Wanted and D&G The One.

Really good but reminds me of bad times.

It is not too bad. It is surely synthetic and mandarin orange was NOT a good choice to open an ambery-vanilla sweet fragrance (If we are not talking about Grand Soir) but I enjoyed the drydown. Nothing crazy, we smelled that vanilla-benzoin sweet DNA a thousand times before but it doesn't mean it is a bad perfume. Benzoin is too sweet here and makes this composition less interesting in my opinion, could prefer a more ''dry'' amber composition. I believe there is a myrrh note note listed in notes and that's where the medicinal aspect is coming from. I also smelled that vibe but it wasn't untolarable. I'd personally prefer medicinal myrrh instead of sweet benzoin more. Lasts about 6 hours, but projection and sillage was great. It would probably be stronger if you macerate it for a month, I never seen a ''parfum intense'' that doesn't answers maceration. Doesn't smell like TMW at all, but the unlisted myrrh note that I mentioned might remind some people of Boss Absolu but beware, the quality is not on the same level as Boss. DNA might remind people Grand Soir, but that's it. They do not smell exactly same or too similar but CK carries the cheapest and worse version of that DNA. Pricing is well like many CK, so if you want an amber-vanilla fragrance you can check this one out. DO NOT expect something like Grand Soir as I mentioned, it would be better for you to buy a cheaper clone or inspired version of Grand Soir rather than this. Aromatic version was much better, both in terms of quality and the smell. CK can end their bad reputation if they release a few good flankers from this line like Aromatic Essence.

Highly disappointed. I did lot of search to buy this, finally bought online. It's new perfume, I didn't get a chance to test the smell. I have Eternity, CK One, Obsession, Euphoria, and Defy Parfum (2024), and now Amber essence. Based on first 4 perfumes, I bought Defy Parfum (disappointed - cacao shell smell - not cacao smell!). Once got this Amber Essence after waiting 10 days, I got disappointed in the first spray itself. It smell like medicinal syrup! Synthetic. No way Amber-Vanilla smell It is no way similar to Boss Bottled Absolut. Please don't buy this if you want similar perfume is Boss Absolu. Bottle Elixir is available at discount. Anyway, I give some time to it, let it macerate. I update if it improves.

Tried this juice out on a fitting cool rainy day. It's ok. Upon application you get the timeless eternity smell that to me smells like bath beads. Scent completely transforms rather quickly drying down and the amber benzoin comes in strong with the vanilla giving foundation. Longevity from this is insane I can still smell it on my wrist 24 hours later. Tried masking the wrist spray with three sprays of detour noir and the CK amber swallowed it alive. Definitely a powerhouse fragrance that’s fairly easy to overspray. The missus says the vanilla makes the cologne smell feminine.

It’s pleasant enough. Amber immediately. As it dries, the amber combines with a pleasant soft vanilla note. That’s the fragrance. I already have enough amber fragrances that do it better. Longevity is above average. Projection is slightly below average. Can be unisex. Good for most occasions during fall/winter. I just never think of Calvin Klein when it comes to fragrances. That’s on me. It’s a nice pick up if you don’t already have an amber fragrances.

As a cis woman, I actually find this far superior to the women’s version. It’s a stunning blend of boozy notes and warm amber, with just enough citrus to pull it into unisex territory for me. It’s a sophisticated, cold-weather staple that never fails to get compliments. If you’re a fan of deep, resinous scents, don’t let the 'pour homme' label deter you.

Not so bad, bit sweet and bit dark. But nothing special, just mainstream product. Lasting around 4-5 hours. Projection for 1-2 hours. I personally not buy them for myself. And tester bottle sitting for two months on table, so ..

My favourite from the line and probably my favourite Calvin klein fragrance. It smells like amber. I rate it a 8/10

Super honey, animalic, smoky, nothing like the feminine version. Not a fan

Didn't care for this at all in the end. At first, it had some promising aspects to it, though! The drydown just killed it for me. On a positive note, I was surprised at how powerful this stuff is! When testing it out, I first started with it on a card and left it in my bedroom on the desk. When I woke up the next morning, I could still smell it going strong even without having to pick up the card. This is a VERY sweet scent, but tamed by that chalky/dusty/hazy sensation/feeling I get in other fragrances of the same category. I detect that sensation/feeling in CH Men hours after the drydown. Another would be the last two iterations of Joop! Homme. Versace Eros had the same effect on me. I think of an old blackboard and one of those thick black/charcoal chalkboard erasers that teachers used to have being full of chalk dust. While I've never smelled those erasers, the feeling of "chalk dust" is what I'm trying to convey here. Maybe it'd be better to describe the smell like that of the powder left on candy wrappers/packaging. It's just got a dry/dusty feel to it and that's something I've learned I simply don't deal well with in fragrances. A few other observations about this fragrance. I detected some similarities in this to Calvin Klein Euphoria Intense for Men, which I REALLY like, but the lasting power is sooo poor. In addition to that, there was a nod to Calvin Klein's Reveal for Men, too. I remember that one being sickly sweet and had super strong performance! For a Calvin Klein release, and those who want to embrace their fragrances more but have have been put off by the longevity issues and lack of creativity, you may very well like this. I do give them credit for thinking outside of the box with this, but it's just something I can't quite embrace. As for how this fits into the "Eterinty" lineup of fragrances... it's QUITE a departure as I don't detect ANY nod to the original outside of the name, packaging, etc. Quite frankly, this should just been a new release under a different name. That being said, I think they're just trying to capitalize on the "Eternity" name itself regardless of what's in the bottle.

I remember when Eternity was everywhere in the 1980’s. Never a fan... it was always so cloying to the point of becoming the generic smell of every perfume counter. Then i saw the notes for Eternity Amber Essence Men... I thought maybe it would be a softer, warmer fragrance with more vanilla and amber notes. Long story short: I am so glad I got a small sample instead of blind buying a bottle!! This is NOTHING like Grand Soir. It is still a very cloying, masculine, generic stereotypical ’80’s scent. I really don’t get vanilla amber benzoin here at all. There is a harsh, artificial, Aldehydic fabric softener aspect and it never loses a very irritatingly Sharp note that is quite headache inducing. I immediately thought: cloying 1980’s cologne counter... or walking past Abercrombie and Fitch’s beast mode storefront at the mall circa 2003.

This fragrance unfortunately missed the mark in my opinion. It's opening is one of my least favorites I've ever tried. It does get a bit better after half an hour or so, but this kind of weird, unpleasant vibe never really leaves. It is one of the only fragrances that actually soured my mood after trying them on skin at the store because I realized "Aw man this is how I'm gonna smell for the next few hours". By the way, I have no idea how Eternity Amber Essence ranks as "resembling" The Most Wanted ETP Intense by Azzaro, I absolutely love TMW (to the point I've used half a bottle in a few short months) and they smell nothing alike. Couldn't really recommend this, if you like it - I'm happy for you.

- It reminds me of some burgundy women’s perfume. - Warm, sweet, powdery scent. - If we really push the masculine angle, it feels like a kind old gentleman—an elegant man with a suit and cane would pull this off well. - The amber gives it a slight natural character, like the scent of dry meadow plants. - There are better versions of Eternity that are fresher and more masculine. - The Eternity DNA is present here, but only very subtly. - I couldn’t detect the citrus listed among the ingredients. - No matter how I smell it, I can’t say, “Wow, this is great.” I'm on the edge of wash it off 10/4

I want to like it, but something about it brings to my mind the quote from Napoleon Dynamite; "This tastes like the cow got into an onion patch." Anybody else perceive an accord in here akin to garlic or onion?

I generally don’t understand how you people can praise this so highly... this is not well blended and it feels cheap. you should not pay full retail price for this in any way or form.

I needed to revise my earlier comment. After wearing it for more than a couple of times, I can say it has a long-lasting effect, primarily on clothing rather than skin. For the first couple of hours, it projects strongly, but then it settles close to the skin, similar to how a concentrated perfume behaves. While the projection diminishes, the silage remains noticeable throughout the day in close encounters. The frankincense is prominent right from the start and continues to be a key note until the fragrance reaches the end of its heart. Its texture is velvety (silky) and smooth, which might remind some of a liqueur. Makes sense as it does have bourbon vanilla. The fragrance opens and transitions through the mid notes without much sweetness, but in the dry down, it becomes a sugary, almost overwhelming sweet vanilla scent. It resembles 1 Million Royal, just without the cardamom and the hint of chocolatey patchouli, but sweeter. For a Calvin Klein release, this one performs well. However, it feels redundant if you already own 1 Million Royal or Le Male Elixir. Eternity Amber Essence is definitely for those who enjoy very sweet fragrances. I will give it an overall 7.25/10

The unique twist with Amber Essence is the opening. It leans in the aromatic lavender plus freshly squeezed blood orange direction heavily. This may be my least favorite part of the fragrance as it mixes in with the base notes but its not off putting. 20 minutes in and its just beautiful sweet and smoky amber even though theres no incense listed. Not very natural smelling but very very nice in the air. Longevity is truly all day!

Sweeter than Mercedes-Benz black, and more mellow and much less smoky than Grand Soir. Definitely leaning unisex if not more feminin. Those who say this is masculin have either tried a different flanker or something is off in their perception. The vanilla force is strong with this one, and I'm talking natural vanilla pods with their sweet sour balsamic aspect.

Just picked this up at JCPenney and I have to say it’s very nice . Super warm, grown up and comfy. I like it. Going to give it a test run over the next couple of days to really get a full experience but this would a great pick up on discount not full retail. Also I have never smelled anything liked this from Calvin Klein it’s almost niche smelling. Well done

Valentino coral fantasy 7. Polo red intense Overall it's a very woody and peppery vanilla/tonka scent, but has something a little fruity in there
