Eternity Cologne For Men

Although the original is a classic with undeniable charm, I've always found the sharpness of its opening to be a bit harsh. Eternity Cologne nixes that sharpness and makes the whole composition feel smooth and modern, stepping slightly away from the traditional fougere feel. I don't think it comes anywhere near Invictus in its sweetness (someone on this thread mentioned Invictus). I actually enjoy Invictus a lot, but this one is much more tame in the sweetness department. It's got a softer, almost powdery feel and doesn't come off like you're seeking attention. As far as comparisons to other fragrances in this general realm, I only really get the original DNA in the opening, and, strangely enough, it loosely brings to mind Sedley by PdM as it dries down (not in the opening) but without the lime and smoky effect. Performance isn't incredible, but it's still decent. Extremely versatile. Smells clean and would work for most occassions throughout the year. This goes for under $25 on discounters. I think its a steal at that price.

They could had waited a few months and call this Eternity for men Summer 2021, and do a cologne version of the OG that was more faithful to it (no lavender?). Anyhow, as unrelated to the OG as this is, to me it's a very nice, all occasion fresh summer-spring day scent. I smell Ambroxan (here coconutty), Aldehydes (breezy), Cardamon, Juniper and a very tamed Ginger in that order of magnitude. The overall impression is one of a light, tropical sweet, ozonic breeze. It doesn't smell nothing like Air, Aqua or the last 2 Summer editions either, but I can find a relation to Now. I see myself wearing this a lot come mild and hot weather. It was a great blind buy for 28€ the 200ml bottle, and gets a blind buy recommendation from me if you also like CK's approach to subtlety and versatility in everyday perfumery.

I don't know how this is under 4 stars. Buy this if you're a fan of any of the others in the line. If you are a fan of Eternity, this is the 2020s version taking the original dna and bringing it forward 30 years. Aldehydic ginger and ripe juniper berries cloying as other fruits like apple and plum-melon kick things off in the open. The heart is a slightly boozy bourbon and geranium, some other herbs and florals I can't pin point, with a late cardamom pop. The base is largely ambroxan and moss. I got roughly 5 hours on my hand test almost 2 months ago; it will excel in the gym and do really well in most warm weather environments in any place where you would normally use Eternity EDT.

I have tested it today at Notino on my skin, and I gotta say, I quite like it! It resembles original/edp, while being fresher and more sparkly thanks to the noticeble ginger accord and mastic. It retains the fouger qualities from original and also adds noticeable sweetness thanks to cardamon and juniper berries (apple maybe too?). I can't comment much on performance, my two sprays from Notino lasted for 6 hours, first two the scent was projecting and leaving a scent trail. After that, it went closer to the skin. Definitely try this at your retailer, or scoop it online (already on discounters). A very nice fouger freshie :)

Only reason I could see someone not liking this is if they don't like the aromatics that come from more amber bases, this stuff is pretty slick and unique compared to your typical freshie. Probably my favorite Eternity currently. If you're able to swoop this up for around 30 or less, and are looking for something different than your usual cheapie freshie this is a blind buy win for me.

I was expecting a lighter version of the edt, and there's no escaping the DNA, it's there, but there is something different about this one, sweet and fresh, more of a summer vibe, not sure about the cologne branding. Very little noise about this one, but one of the better Eternity flankers. The aldehyde note is very prominent, I really like it.

this stuff kicks ass. for a cologne really long lasting and strong but not overpowering. not copying any trend, "blue" or juvenile sweet, has its own thing. good for spring and fall, acceptable for mild summer. simply: another great eternity flanker. 8/10

funny how this one is similar to ysl homme sport. 8/10. soundtrack: gary clail and the on-u-sound system - these things are worth fighting for.

I’m slightly surprised that this creation gets very little mention and has such negative reviews but, then again most people love to crap on Calvin Klein and I get it. Yet, with some of their creations there is some real thought and quality that goes into them and I find that Eternity for Men Cologne is one of those few fragrances that has it. This is simply a lighter version of the original from the aldehydes yet it has a modern like twist to it with the ginger & cardamom notes. It’s not a natural or organic smell as it leans more to the synthetic side on initial spray but, after 15-20 minutes it smoothens out with a slight bitterness to it that most likely comes from the Juniper Berries converting itself to a slightly sweet aromatic with a tinge of green/herbaceous accords that blends in really well with skin chemistry. Duration is not that bad either as I easily get 5-6 hours of catching nice wafts of it with another 2-3 hours of a nice close skin scent that still smells soft, clean and masculine. There aren’t a bunch of CK fragrances that will turn the fragrance world on its head but, there are some that have better than average quality for some really excellent discounted prices. I consider this one to be one of those diamonds in the rough from this house that actually brings a quality fragrance into the Eternity Line for Men that maintains the aromatic/fougere dna of its predecessors while making it contemporary and not smell dated or out of place. WOW! Ive worn Eternity- Cologne a handful of times and although its a tad "Generic" smelling, its still a very nice fragrance. What I will say is that I haven't worn this fragrance since Autumn of last year, sprayed it on today and that Amber accord has certainly become much more pronounced making this more nuanced then when Id initially sprayed my new bottle on. Also, dare I say that this Cologne formulation may be even LONGER-LASTING than the current-classic edt formulation which although this is also an "Aromatic Fougere" smells NOTHING like the OG edt did and is much more modern in this Cologne formulation! I still enjoy the original over this Cologne Version, but this is still a nice fragrance! Imo this is a great scent for younger fellas and would make an excellent "Starter fragrance" for teens and young-adults, plus I STILL find this bottle design to be so cool! Glad Calvin Klein hasn't changed that part atleast! A nice 7 outta 10 Spring scent which also works well in the Summer! Also believe it or not this may become cloyng if over sprayed bc of that Amber accord/Base which I also find just a tad powdery which again, may make this Cloying if over-sprayed. Also, Im now getting a good 6 or more hours on my skin whereas initially I was getting 4 to mmmaybe 5 hours with a couple more spritzes. Great for office wear too! Thanks to whomever took the time.. I mean, it smells pleasant, fresh/clean, GENERIC! Cant emagine anyone saying this smells bad or off-putting, but I was hoping for a more aromatic/herbacous/aldehydic take on Eternity for men. I see some folks here have stated that the aldehydes are prominent, but Ive been getting into some aldehydic men's (and women's) frags lately. Comparatively, Eternity Cologne doesnt seem to have any aldehydic push what so ever imo, and It actually would have made it much more interesting and "unique" if it had, especially in todays market. It does feel like a light wear, and seems to be gone within 3-4 hours (ON CLOTHES), but it does have ambroxin, so it may be anosmia? Anyhow, I passed up some Salvatore Ferragamo's, Issey Miyake's and some Hyped up Lattafa's which actually cost less at burlington for Eternity Cologne and Im sorta regretting it tbh. I've been really curious about this fragrance for a while now, but imo, it's a huge Dudd, especially when compared to what we have available.nowadays for the same amount of cash. Id have to try it again after letting this "Maturate" for a while, , but for now it's quite "MEHH" 🙅♂️

Smells a lot like Y EDT 2022, just with less sweetness and less sparkle to the opening. Pretty nice, versatile, inoffensive fragrance fine for most occasions. Has that classic eternity vibe without smelling outdated. It's fine, good for the price, can be found for less than 30 bucks at the rack stores on almost any given day. I quite enjoy aldehydes in my fragrances, especially when paired with ginger or bergamot. If you like that you'll like this. I've used this to layer with Y EDT 2022 to help with longevity and projection, and it works pretty well on that front. Blends in with it nicely. Definitely gets hated on way too much, likely just for being an eternity flanker. No reason to hate on cheap, dumb reach fragrances for when you just wanna smell okay at any time without doing too much. And that's exactly what this is. I wouldn't compare this to the invictus line at all, not sure why people are doing that.

***update*** This fragrance does actually improve a bit with time. Smelled more "Generic" and "Bargain bin" when Id first gotten it. Now it seems more pleasant, greener and has a bit more Character, seems more "sparkling" and airy. Give it a month or so to "maturate" after spraying some out. Id actually wear it now after trying it again after a couple months since first trying it. Has it's uses for sure and NOT a total blind-buy failure.. lol. Also the longevity is good for a "Cologne concentration" fragrance.

Smells cheap. The juniper berries and ginger doesn't go well together at the opening. The aldehyde is pretty heavy as well so do not overspray this, you'll start to get a little nauseating if you keep smelling it. It's not light but rather loud and strong. Abit off putting opening. I should just stick to the Edt and edp and stop trying these below average smelling flankers.

This is like a love child between Invictus and Y edt, but more on the greener side. Having said that it’s a safe dumb reach.

First impression: Lovely ! I like it ! Fresh, modern, little bit spicy. Definitely in aquatic family... Wait for update.

I received this a gift from my wife (in 2024). I believe she purchased it thinking it was the original Eternity for men. I didn’t pay attention at first and also thought it was the original... upon spraying it the first time I knew something was different. It smelled weaker. Like a thinned out or watered down version of the original. Other reviewers said this is a fresh modern take on Eternity for men. I will try it again with that in mind (that this is a different cologne entirely) and see if I like it more. If I find that to be the case I will re-review it. Overall, on my initial use it doesn’t strike me as something that has much projection or will last very long. Maybe I got a poor performing bottle? I think I would prefer the original for nostalgic sake with the update offering weaker performance. Overall 6.5 out of 10. Update: Ok, so this is a modern take indeed. While this absolutely is not the original it is something nice on its own account. The Aldehyde and Ambroxan make it feel light, airy and modern. I still don’t feel this has much projection or deep presence to it. It doesn’t seem to have a soul! No depth to it. However, it is a nice, airy, clean modern scent. Not bad for what it is. I actually will use the entire bottle most likely as a “day off” scent that I overspray when I just want to feel clean. I also have used this to layer as a modern base to some other fragrances. Will bump this to a 7.5 out of 10.

Just received my bottle and my first impression is that it is a re-boot of CraveCK. The similarity is almost identical. Was hoping for something a little different, so I am disappointed. Not bad, just too familiar.

I get a lot of the original Eternity. Traditional Calvin Klein DNA in my opinion. Fresh and modern. Still very much a basic scent that does not give the WOW factor.

A little too strong even though airy. Typical? Middle of the mall, synthetic ginger/berry clean scent. Tries to be unique but isn’t. Tommy Bahama vibes.

When in need of a modern fragrance while on a tight budget, Calvin Klein’s got you covered. Eternity Cologne surprised as a heavy amber fragrance at the start. It’s a very sensual opening that reminds of the dry down of more “date night” focused fragrances, specifically one in a notorious lighting bolt bottle. Not as potent, but it was really a shock to find something so coquettish as part of the Eternity line. The amber/ambroxan begins to settle down after about 30 minutes and becomes fresher thanks to aldehydes and what are, to me, some nondescript green notes. These also give off a semi-aquatic feel that bring out something a bit more recognizable as Eternity. For what you should be paying for Eternity Cologne, it’s hard to go wrong, but if you’re paying more than pocket change, something went wrong. Eternity’s EDP from 2019 is a much better execution of the DNA brought into the fashion of today. Expect Eternity Cologne to last from breakfast to lunch, if that, with a faint clean feeling for the second half of that timeframe.

Classic masculine ginger fresh scent. Like a sport fragrance, typical for a cologne. It doesn't smell special to me, I think because of the heavy reliance on ambroxan, but it does smell good. It's sharp, cuts through the air, with cardamom, juniper, ginger, and aldehydes. This has pretty incredible throw and good longevity. I can't knock that, those points do make this an impressive fragrance. Although I'm not sure why they've called this cologne, since from I've seen it seems this is an EDT? Also, the sample vial is plastic, not glass, which threw me. Made popping the top off much easier, to get the last drops out.

Got a deal on a tester so I blind bought. Of course reminiscent of the OG, but not quite, more subtle which I like, especially now that I'm in my 50's and I bought the OG in my 20's. Perhaps it's me, but it feels more mature than the OG, more light & fresh ginger without being annoying with just enough spice to make it interesting (for Spring/Summer, not Autumn/Winter). I like. update: In the low 80's where I am so I wore last 2 days. imo this is better than the OG, more complex, smooth, & modern - it's a contemporary take on the OG yet no hint of something from the 90's. happy to have in my modest collection.

This stuff is really pleasant. Definitely has the originals dna in spades. It has a twist tho, more fresh and a little sweeter too. I recently picked up the EDP too and they are both very similar to my nose. To me it's not necessary to own both. Is go with EDP over cologne purely because the performance is stronger. Cologne performs on the weaker side of moderate. Which for a spring summer time freshie is the norm. It's not weak. For the price u can get a tester of this it's a steal. It's regularly available too which can't always be said for the EDP. Definitely a nice pickup. Only $28cad at fragbuy.

Sleeper "cologne" earns the right to that name. It goes with gold chains. EDIT: I had to give this away, it's not my vibe. There is a heavy aldehyde note that dominates and it is very nauseating over time. I liked the scent more than I liked wearing it.

I can acept the "cologne version" but all the flankers... please! Iconics fragances became in boring or more then the same ... Brings Craven and Contradiction back, for example and not ruined this fragances of cult.

A reasonable summer fragrance, with ok performance. Good value for money, but nothing too much to get excited about.

when will the flankers of Eternity end? they only serve to damage the original Eternity legacy accomplished!

This smells so much like Womanity by Mugler. This is Womanity but with a masculine touch.
