Eternity Summer 2020

I’m not sure everyone reviewing this has got the 2020 bottle? It does look similar to the 2012 one... On first spray it’s fresh, ozonic, lightly citrus and white floral, it’s definitely a freshie and it’s definitely CK Eternity Summer for women, no mistaking that! However, in under ten minutes it gets warmer, and a tiny bit spicy too, I wouldn’t say I can smell the ginger, but I can definitely smell the effect of it. It makes what would otherwise be a boring white floral freshie a bit more interesting. There isn’t really enough in to take away that ozonic freshness though. I’d like it to have had more coconut, but I have a pure coconut scent I can easily layer with this if that’s what I’m going for. If I concentrate really hard and know the coconut is there I can maybe smell it, but I wouldn’t say it was there on a blind sniff. As it dries down it becomes more musky and warmer, and gets a bit woody, but still retains the ozonic freshness of the start. Not green though. It’s not really green, or a strong citrus at all. Although the ozonic, white floral and fresh accords should be at the top as that is mainly what you get, not warm spice or coconut which should be at the bottom. Great for a freshener in Summer. PS the notes someone listed below with star anise etc are for the male version. Edit: came back to say how much I have grown to love this one. It’s a fresh cucumber and ginger musk, with a hint of dry coconut, some soft florals (very soft) and a yummy woody drydown. Really gorgeous in summer, I keep reaching for it over so many more expensive fragrances I have, it’s just addictive. The dry down is beautiful. Definitely one to try as it’s currently cheap at discounters.

This is so pretty! I looked up my batch code and yes, this is the 2020 version. A gorgeous composition of notes give this a very clean bright fragrance with a sophisticated edge. I don’t get a lot of coconut but can pick up the rose and ginger which are lovely. It will be a frequent grab for me once the weather warms up again. There’s something about it that is akin to Alfred Sung’s Shi. They’re not the same, but reminiscent. I wore that for years and still adore that fragrance, and wore it last week. I almost like this as much!

ORIG POST 07/08/20: Love Love Love this fragrance! If you liked/loved/missed the 2017 version then this one is for you! So happy I took a chance on this one. 2018 & 2019 were total disappointments to me but 2020 is a winner!! EDIT 09/05/20: While I still love the scent it is not long lasting at all. 2017 lasts hours with nice sillage but this one, on me, is moderate at best. My sister tried it & LOVES it! It is very long lasting (she can still smell it the next morning) with great sillage on her.

I forgot I had this. It's an okay scent, but I'm not crazy about it.

Too rose heavy for my personal liking, smells kinda tart on my skin :/

Well this is strange - by the look of the accords and notes I have the wrong bottle... but no, it’s the same bottle, same packaging... huh Card test earlier and loved it, skin test today, winter/spring, still cold. Well I get initially: fresh and green with woods, more green and woods through fabric. This one has the background of the blue and yellow bottle eternity summer. This new bottle is bright, plus semi sharp fresh/wood notes, at the moment I think it’s unisex. A bit later: the woodsy has softened and become more green ish floral, but not flowery at all, these aren’t dew like garden lush greens, it’s a feel, she’s a fresh woodsy this one. The notes listed, nor the accords make sense. Zero coconut, nothing like fresh coconut, nor what’s in Versace crystal noir, nor estee bronze goddess, zip. No ginger per se, not like eau de vie, nor Cabernet jpg.. Now, this is not Rosey either, I don’t detect musc like I have musc in narciso, nor Katy Perry’s, not jasmine like I find from bvlgari nor Michael kors.. Bergamot... well possibly, violet leaf probably where the greens ish stuff is coming from, if there’s rose is like the leaf or stem... The only thing making sense is the ozonise and aquatic accords - yes that lends the overall feel and matches well, the rest I will report later.. 6hours later... clean sparkling ozonic aquatic a little green and a little wood, plus the pale fruit to keep it bright. Lasting well

Skin test, cool weather, three sprays to arm. Initial spray, it smells like every other eternity summer. I read the notes and accords which sounded nice and not *the same* as all the others, and now um thinking blah blah blah what crap. Its a freshie, with greens and airy ... airy feel. Just like most of the others. Ill giveanother go but i think ill swap this out or sell. The dry down is light, synthetic bitter.

Ok I’ve just resprayed to get the top again. It’s a freshie,bergamot -citrus, musky woody floral ozonic. However, this IS NOT a floral woodymusk scent itself, no. It’s got a touch of freshie style green, it’s not watery really, but carries that type of overall fresh vibe. Fresh, pale citrus - not lemon or orange however, green. Similar feel to the other summer eternities.

The copy being used by department store websites says that the heart consists of anise and desert rose oil over a base of musk. I almost bought this on eBay based on the note pyramid given by Fragrantica. Thanks for mentioning the inconsistencies you observed, dglightblue.

I enjoyed some of the earlier summer editions and flankers more than this one. Starts summerish citrus-white floral, but soon it turns into a ginger musky white floral and it is not bad, just nothing new nor beautiful or to be remembered

None of the CK Summer editions can ever reach the masterpiece of 2016!
