Euphoria

I was sent a sample of this along with a previous purchase of mine. I love blind buying perfume but I also appreciate the opportunity to try the scent beforehand. This was a love at first sniff. If I had to use one word to describe "Euphoria", it would be satisfying. Pure olfactory and visual satisfaction. I have already ordered a bottle as I am typing this. Beautiful scent. Rich, deep, with just enough sweetness, all of which comes from the fruits and the amber. The orchid (? I guess) is gorgeous, powdery and refreshing. The green note is minimal but noticeable and sufficient. Despite being listed as a top accord, the wood is not too strong to me. It gives the fragrance depth and warmth. The persimmon and pomegranate do not smell cheap or synthetic, and are pretty close to my idea of what these fruits smell like. I find "Euphoria" mature and youtful at the same time. I think it is great for people in the early 20s to late 30s range. Although I would wear it daily, I can also imagine it being perfect for nights out. It reminds me of the time I went to my coworker's wedding, got tipsy really fast, danced a lot, realized that my mom wouldn't be alive in 50 years and cried about it then drank some more. I do not go out often. This perfume reminds me there is a freak inside of me that wants to have fun and feel alive. I will wear it and imagine these moments for a few seconds then snap out of it. Longevity seems promising. I sprayed this on my forearm and put on my sweatshirt afterwards. I could certainly smell it on my sleeve a few days later. I have other CK fragrances on my wishlist including its masculine counterpart. If I really enjoy this one, I will buy more of their fragrances.

I tend to be drawn to stronger scents as my body chemistry tends to dampen many of the more musky and cloyingly sweet vibes. Perfumes and colognes that smell delicious on me tend to be ones that are rather divisive. For example, my current best performers are Farenheit by Dior, Poison by Dior, Sauvage by Dior, Red Door by Elizabeth Arden, L'Eau D'Issey by Issey Miyake, and now Euphoria by Calvin Klein. On me, the strong fruity notes fade quickly, leaving only green accord, florals and the woody base notes with a hint of sweetness from the whipped cream and amber notes. It has surprising longevity on me, about 7-12 hours which is one of the best in terms of performance I have encountered. Sillage is about 6 feet from me - if I wear this you will smell my arrival in a room. I wouldn't wear this if I worked in an office, but it is a perfect scent for a weekend spent shopping and spending time with family and friends. It is a comforting, loving scent that gives mature vibes (opposite would be how Poison smells on me which gives gum-chewing carefree teenager vibes). I would wea r this to daytime, spring, summer, and outdoor events. I think it doesn't have enough heavy spice or strong florals for me to consider it a winter scent. I feel like without the added boost of warmer weather, this perfume would fall flat on me as many of my favorites do (I'm looking at you, Like This by ELDO). That said, this was a gift, and I don't know if I will replace the bottle I have once it's gone. It's good juice, imo. I would give it 8.5/10 overall.

It's been around for a while, but it's often overlooked in favor of newer releases. If you're looking for a long-lasting, mature, and unique fragrance that won't empty your wallet, give Calvin Klein Euphoria a try. You might just be surprised at how much you love it.

Euphoria is nostalgic yet ageless. I first fell in love with it in my early 20s and recently rediscovered it. I actually thought it was a bit too mature for me back then and found it too woody and masculine, coming from wearing only sweet fruity floral scents. I found a huge, barely used bottle in storage and I couldn't wait to revisit it. Strangely now I get a lot more sweetness from the pomegranate note, some freshness from the green accord, a bit of powdery, and that classic unisex type woody base which makes it last forever on me. My mother loves this too, and here it's commonly found on sale at a lot of the pharmacies because it's so popular to this day. It definitely stands out against all the gourmand vanillas or sugary sweet fruity florals next to it. If this is a fruity floral, it's a dark, mahogany one indeed. This won the FiFi Award Fragrance Of The Year Women`s Luxe in 2006 with good reason. It's nostalgic yet ageless to this day. I reach for this whenever I want to smell nice but not in any overtly sexy or girlie or gourmand way. It also works well both in summer and winter here. I don't understand the complaints about longevity unless you happened to get a reformulation, which I haven't smelt. Also spraying this on your clothes makes it last forever. I can see why some people compare it to an Alien flanker. The bottle is gorgeous too 💜

This has a very nostalgic vibe for me because my best friend with whom I'm not talking these days used to wear it. Somehow, though, when I smelt it recently, it really felt like a "me" scent. In fact, it gave me gender euphoria on a very dysphoric day. I am non-binary, look like a girl, so I went to my local beauty store to sample perfumes and the lady (who wouldn't let me look around on my own) seemed appalled when I told her I'm looking for something leathery and woody. Not only did she think that if I look like a woman, I must always choose feminine perfumes, she also thought it appalling that wood or leather would ever belong to a traditionally feminine perfume, before going on to sample me with a perfume that was among what I was looking for and it was literally called "This is Her" (by Zadig & Voltaire). Last but not least, I had told her I wasn't looking for anything overly fruity or floral, so when I tried on the lovely almond-y Poison Girl by Dior she was like "I told you I should have shown you sweeter scents!" Anyway, rant about the autonomy of olfactory choices over. The thing is, this perfume is the exact mix of feminine and masculine elements for me. I know these are not the predominant notes, but to me it smells like a warm floral with a touch of oud. This unisex perfume really gave me gender euphoria.

I don't know why, but I adore this perfume. You'd think I'd stray away from this perfume as there are so many others out there that are seemingly 'better,' 'newer' and more 'contrarian' out there, but I LOVE Euphoria. Maybe it's because of the strong woody undertone this fragrance has. Maybe it's because when that woodiness is combined with the scent of pomegranate and a violet black orchid, this perfume becomes heavenly. Maybe it's because of its relatively cheap price yet strong sillage/longevity. It's a staple in my collection because of all of these factors. This isn't a sweet or youthful perfume, and I love Euphoria for that. It's refined, womanly, and downright alluring. It has a darkness to it that I can't quite put my finger on. I find this to be a secretly bold perfume with an understated confidence that makes it both a genuine crowd-pleaser and a stand-out. Maybe Euphoria proves that a fragrance needn't be an expensive, luxury perfume in order to be 'good perfume' but one that perfectly matches the wearer's very essence and skin chemistry. An absolute love.

This is a lovely perfume. I am realizing that I'm into intense sexy fragrances more than I thought. It reminds me of Jimmy Choo EDP in the intensity and femininity of it, and of course the fruity patchouli. A great perfume for a night out at any age in my opinion. The opening is wonderful, very fruity and dark. Then the fruitiness fades slightly, but the notes don't change a lot. The comparison to wine I read in another comment makes sense, this reminds me of drinking dark sangria in a bar with friends. I wouldn't wear this in an open office, but anywhere else it'd work. To me this is a spring and summer perfume, I cannot imagine wearing it in winter. Only the drydown I dislike, I smell neither wood nor cream (unfortunately), only something like bug spray worn in a forest (which is woody I suppose, but not very pleasant). It might be my skin chemistry. I will keep testing the sample I got and see if the drydown persists and keeps me from buying this beautiful perfume.

Euphoria....I can’t get enough of you. Euphoria....the one I always come back to. Euphoria is the first perfume that I really fell in love with. All it took was for me to smell it one time and I was hooked. Whipped cream, black violet, persimmon, mahogany, black orchid, pomegranate....the composition of this fragrance is absolutely stunning. It’s floral, it’s pretty and sexy and just such a pleasure to wear. I wore this stuff all the time during my college years. I can still picture my younger self walking the halls in my favorite mesh top, long silver earrings and a sexy trail of euphoric mystery following close behind me. Someone was sure to ask what I was wearing and I was always happy to reply cause I knew nobody smelled like me. This fragrance stirs so many nostalgic feelings within me. I don’t wear it every day like I did in my younger years but I just can’t stay away from her too long. No matter the season, time of day or occasion, I’m always drawn to Euphoria.

Where has this been all my life? I didn’t expect to love this as much as I do. I saw it described as a kind of whimsy goth throwback. There’s something about it that feels dark, feminine, and a little nostalgic, but still very wearable. The opening ia a pop of pomegranate, followed by persimmon, and a soft green note, then moves into a floral heart with orchid, lotus, and champaca. The dry down is where it gets deeper with amber, wood, and musk, giving it warmth. It wears more like a feminine, slightly moody scent that works really well during the day. It has depth, but it’s still easy to reach for, especially if you are an everyday Persephone. My only complaint is the longevity and projection. On me, it doesn’t last as long or hit as strong as I’d like. I’ve seen people say the formula may have changed over time, which makes me feel like I missed out on an earlier version. Still, I really enjoy wearing it. It’s one of those scents that just feels easy and addictive.

I really love this fragrance, in theory and practically, but I've come to find that it doesn't project too well on me. I'm not sure if it's simply just too warm where I am right now to enjoy it to it's fullest, or if it doesn't like my skin chemistry, but I feel it doesn't sit as well on me as it would for others. I definitely get the fresh greenness and juicyness of the pomegranate and persimmon in the top notes, but as it warms up I sort of find the orchid to stand out in a sort of tangy, metallic way between the lotus (which I usually adore as a softer, watery floral) and the champaca flower. I really wish I got stronger notes of whipped cream and heartier woodiness, but it dries down too quickly I fear. Maybe I'll retest this again in the winter, but definitely a super fun and flirty for those who want a moodier but still enticingly fresh fragrance. I've gotten complimented a lot on it, and my friends adore it, so it's definitely a crowd pleaser!

My very first true-blue signature scent back in my University days. During the summer I would tutor chemistry and a girl I was tutoring smelled divine, so I asked her what her perfume was and it was this. I promptly bought it and it just enveloped me. I was completely new to fragrance and oblivious to most social norms, so I tended to overspray, but I couldn't help myself. I still haven't smelled anything quite like it. It is dark and gothic, very deep and erotic; the musk smell from it is very spicy, earthy and carnal- as a previous review said, it does give off a very lustful feminine smell. I couldn't figure out what to wear (getting bored of my usual rotation) and sprayed this for nostalgia. Wow. It is a bottle from perhaps, 2015, so I luckily haven't run into the dreaded current reformulation issue. Euphoria will always be my first true love for fragrance. It defines a pivotal part of my life and still holds up. :3

This is by far one of my favorite perfumes. Despite the fact I usually go for skin scents or dewy floral scents this one is so special. It definitely smells different on different people and to different people. When I wear it people tell me I smell “spicy”. I feel like it smells like a sweet resinous amber scent. If you are gonna test it out, try it on your skin and don’t just spray it on a testing strip it will smell so different. (And don’t just judge the first sniff let it sit a minute or two). I don’t get the top notes that much, I think they fade quickly and I don’t mind at all because the base is so beautiful. I definitely get the whipped cream after it’s been sitting for a while. It seems like every perfume interprets that “amber” note differently, but this is always what I imagine and Ambery perfume should smell like. Lasts forever especially on clothes. Love it so much.

Review #2 after purchasing a bottle and using it several times. I can actually notice the whipped cream. The opening is smooth and resinous. It is deep and dark but decidedly feminine instead of unisex like other similar fragrances. However, the drydown is a little too bitter to me. I wish it retained its subtle sweetness that makes it so smooth. The woody note really stands out. Regardless, I appreciate this fragrance. It is certainly of high quality and quite bold. Keep in mind this is NOT a safe blind buy! I tested it before purchasing and still did not like it as much as I imagined. Some women may find it not feminine enough. It is not for people who hate being noticed either. Last but not least, there was absolutely no need to alter the bottle. It was perfect. I obviously got the new one and it looks "naked". This is a downgrade to me. Stop screwing with iconic bottles!

this is my “pre-review” i just ordered euphoria on fragrancenet (which i highly recommend for amazing deals on designer fragrances), bc it’s what my mom wore. she passed away in 2008, and as soon as i saw the bottle, i recognized it. i needed it instantly! i don’t quite remember what it smells like, but i know i’ll recognize it as soon as i smell it. i can’t wait to smell like my beautiful momma, i miss her so much. i will come back and review when it comes in, i am so so so excited! it also has the purple box and details on the bottle, which was my moms color, as her birthstone was amethyst. it has so many good reviews as well, so i’m even more excited for it. i mostly got it so i could be reminded of her scent, but even better if it smells amazing and becomes a scent i want to wear. i love you so much momma, thank you for visiting me in my dream last night.

This is one of my all-time favorite perfumes, especially for autumn and winter. I truly love this scent. It works beautifully with my skin chemistry, and every time I wear it, I receive compliments. On me, it lasts well and has very good projection. At the same time, I don’t find it offensive or overwhelming in any way. It feels very balanced and versatile, suitable for both daytime and nighttime wear. The scent is comforting, elegant, and I would even describe it as sexy. This is a perfume I have repurchased before and will definitely repurchase again in the future. Since it is on the pricier side for me, I usually wait for discounts, such as Black Friday or Valentine’s Day sales. When bought on sale, it feels absolutely worth the price. I’m quite price-conscious when it comes to perfumes, and waiting for a good deal on this one works perfectly for me

A loved one gifted me this perfume recently, not to mention my mom had this in her collection for ages. To tell the truth, it is a dark seductive perfume. I LOVE IT. I get woody notes. Many claim this to be a bit masculine, I don't get that at all. This is perfect for a date. It lasts long on me for sure. Sensational smell. Not to mention, I've received a compliment from two people out of the 6 times i've wore it outside. Nostalgic as it is because I used to have a whiff of this fragrance as my mom used to apply this on her on special occasions. I love this perfume as it reminds me a lot of my mom. It is her signature scent for years. BEST ONE FROM CALVIN KLEIN.

I’m 20 years late to discovering this perfume but it’s exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a warm, deep, floral, woody, amber and found it with Euphoria EDP. This is powerfully feminine with an alluring quality. The opening starts with a burst of rich & sweet florals accompanied by a deep amber. Unfortunately that beautiful opening quickly fades and leaves a lighter version of itself. Longevity is poor, 2 hours or less with 3-4 sprays. Spraying too much can be cloying so it’s better to touch up instead. 10/10 for the fragrance composition and 2/10 for performance. I would wear this all seasons and all times of day. A new top favorite!

initially wasn’t too into this because i tested it on paper but after forgetting about my sample, i randomly decided to see how it was on skin and i’m glad i did. it’s sweet, sensual, and warm (but not too warm ) and feels unique amongst my perfumes. if you’re looking for a fresh and juicy pomegranate perfume, this is maybe not for you. and i don’t dislike that, sometimes i don’t want to smell like a photorealistic fruit and this gives it to me in a really nice way that in my opinion is not too “mature”. oh also, it lasts super long and projects pretty well !! it even stayed on my arm after a quick shower.

Euphoria was the first ‘fancy’ perfume I ever bought for myself, and it holds such a special place in my heart. It brings me back to my exchange program days, when I was stepping into a new phase of life filled with discoveries and opportunities. I wore it for years and had so many bottles, to me it will always feel sexy, sensual, and elegant. I don’t wear it very often anymore, but I still keep it on my dresser because it carries beautiful memories of gaining independence in a foreign country and discovering my own confidence. 🥹

People are absolutely correct when they say its significantly different on everyone, I was surprised to see people don't recommend it for people who like soft or sweet scents because I've found it to be both of those things on myself. It's so soft and airy not a sugary sweet but a floral sweetness matched with a gentle powder. I absolutely love it, it reminds me of when I was younger and went through my mum's perfume and makeup, spraying myself until I choked on perfume and covering myself in blush and pressed powder.
