Obsessed for Men

So this is not like OG Obsession for Men, Night or Dark Obsession. This is its own thing. Add a little spice to Y EDP, Dylan Blue with CK Eternity and CK One DNA hidden down under. It's a wonderful scent I truly think it's an all year scent. Clean, fresh some blue but not flat like BDC or super Ambroxan like Sauvage EDT or EDP, it's very nice!! I got a 4 oz bottle lightly used for $40 after browsing and putting in offers. For a Calvin Klein collector like myself thats a good deal because this is discontinued. OG formula Obsession for Men will always have a place special to me with the cinnamon, amber, spice, creme brulee and so much more. Dark Obsession is so alluring and unique and wonderfully chocolate/vanilla with oddly some nods to the original obsession for men. Obsession Night is alone a calm scent heavy Pear, not blue, not green, just relaxing and unique. There are 2 you love or hate, Obsession for Men, Obsession Night for Men. Dark Obsession and this Obsessed for Men are 2 that are more universally accepted as anywhere from ok to fantastic. Anyway if you like Dylan Blue, Oxford Blue by English Laundry, BDC EDT, Y EDP and small amount of Ck One and CK Eternity you will like this. Won't blow your hair back but it's very nice. Sits close to skin like a lot of CK products, spray a lot, spray your clothes. I don't agree that this is some kind of winter or fall scent or super spicy. Trust me on the comparisons. Don't pay attention to the list above.

Calvin Klein obsessed takes the same route as Montblanc legend night. Sweet and vanilliac with a citrus spine. In this case, the citrus coming from pineapple - which makes a really interesting mixture. With a close sniff, it gives it a pungent twist - which I think is good! Overall I would consider this to be 70% similar to legend night - and I would say they are both on the same level in terms of overall smell. I’m surprised this one gets so much dislike - but hey, more of me wearing it and less of you! I’m very pleased with this scent - and I can see this one being grabbed often for all occasions. 6/10

I find the 'reminds me of' section to be very interesting. I, personally, would never have thought of some of the listed fragrances but I guess with a very determined nose...? The association can be seen. Not exactly a leap, but not at all obvious. The scent itself is perfectly lovely. I'm really glad I bought this. It's definitely very synthetic and vanilla driven, like a lighter and less scratchy Stronger With You. Sort of. Medium strength, 7-ish hours of longevity. Does what it says, more or less. Watch out, though. Can be a tiny bit sweet.

Very interesting scent, it is clean, sweet and quite feminine in a way, feeling like pleasantly spiced clean laundry. The pure magic with Obsessed is when you get a whiff in the air, and it really garners compliments. I thought it does not perform well, but I got compliments by the end of the day after around 6-8h of applying 3 sprays.

I have to say I really like this after testing a couple of time. It doesn't blow me away but there something about it. It gets better in the summer heat, the grapefruit comes through better. Nice vanilla in the background, not too much. Youthful and loveable. Balancing between masculine and feminine, making it unisex smelling.

I wasn't expecting much from this, but it took me by surprise. In no means is it a masterpiece, but it's a good scent overall. Simplistic. It reminds me of a CK from the 90s or early 2000s. I like the touch of vanilla. It is definitely a skin scent.

I love this one on the opening it's very citrus and very creamy and pleasant, but then it dries down to a Dior Sauvage kind of vibe, although it doesn't smell the same as Sauvage I still get the pepper smell like sauvage... I like it

This is incredibly underrated, everybody's crazy about the intense version but this is to me a better scent, I have the first batch from 2017, 125ml and I'm selling as i have 2, so send me a message via profile if interested.

Nice fresh ambroxan scent that is very much unisex as well, one of the better offerings from CK in a while, very modern scent from the house, i really like this one the more i am wearing it the more i'm loving it.

Smells absolutely amazing at night. Dry down is very sweet and youthful. Longevity is terrible though since it is very intense so you can’t spray very much but what you do spray radiates.

A more well-crafted scent in the line of the Calvin Klein's...Has a nice intense bouquet and medium strength and longevity...scent 8.2/10 strength 7.0/10

I like smelling like this. I like the Amber, it is quite subtle and out there at the same time. But it definitely is worth for the money.

I have a sensitive nose and taste, but the vanilla is so sweet and calming in this. Love it!

Calvin Klein Obsessed For Men EDT opens with a moderate projection of very sweet, spices, and fruity accords. The opening is aromatic, dense, and very pleasant. Everyone is so quick to slag off Abroxan but I think it's a very interesting base and can be put to great use in these modern scents. After wearing it became apparent this is fragrance of three distinct phases. Obsessed is a strange one really because it opens very nicely with much of the Calvin Klein freshness and the intriguing charm of things like Crave or CK2. Unfamiliar, fresh spicy notes of kumquat or starfish or some crap like that but never the less very nice. Then it becomes abundantly clear that it might just be one of these confused, messy generic fragrances, a dud of little significance and quickly dismissed like many others and I don't think this is entirely down to the ambroxan. Anyway....Thankfully and quite inexplicably that subsides and Obsessed has a 'third act' so to speak which adds another twist to the tale, in the form of a creamy vanilla type warmth and maybe just maybe... the Labdanum listed in the notes? If you read my reviews you might know that I'm huge fan of that resin and although I can't place it in here as such, the base does have a nice cosy drydown so I'm not dismissing the possibility. Now normally the fresh, unusual, hard to place, top notes, coupled with a crowd pleasing generic heart and a warm (or 'sensual' as they will market it as) vanilla/synth amber drydown sounds like my idea of a horrible frgrance trying to be all things to all people and doing none of them right. However, I quite like Obsessed. I kinda wish CK had the bravery to make a pungent, masculine call back to the original Obsession, now that would've peaked my interest. I'll have to wear this again but the opening was very pleasant, I have no issue with abroxan and the boring aspects weren't too boring and the creamy drydown is nice....so it's a like from me.

I got this fragrance for almost a year and what I can say about it is this: It's not a Sauvage clone (way far from it) although, I can get the smell of ambrox and pepper. The vibes of leather and vanilla are also prominent, but the citrusy from the opening is, somewhat, faint. What bugs me is that most people say there's a pinneapple note on it when there's none. I recommend this fragrance on a warm weather during the day or afternoons. About longevity, this one last about 7 hours on my skin( given or taken) and the projection is no more than an arm's length. Obsessed is a nice and plesant fragrance, easy to wear on casual dates, office or daily basis, but if comparing a Sauvage edt with this CK fragrance I'd say that Obsessed is a firecraker, but worth buying it Note: I've recently layered Obsessed with Molecule 01, and it was the kick that really need it. Iso E Super was the note that was missing, haha

This one is very sweet on me. I know the pineapple note is rather far down in the main notes list but I get a big blast of it when I put this on and that pineapple note sticks around for a good while. That's not a bad thing at all but was surprising. On my skin this stays sweet for the whole duration (@ 6 hours) and ends up a nice vanilla. I'm aware that's probably not the results others may be getting but that's how it behaves on me. Overall I really like this one but it's possible some may think it's kinda boring. That may be so but at least it's a good smelling boring! I had trouble with Dark Obsession containing a note that went very floral on me (I don't like florals) and it made me wary of this one but Obsessed doesn't have that issue, thankfully.

Very pleasant warm spicy scent with some freshness from the dominant ambroxan. It feals like a cousin of the mighty Dior Sauvage. It could be a flanker of it. Dominant notes are ambroxan, mild vanilla, pepper, citruses (mainly grageftuit), smooth & mild cardamom, lavender. Performance is very good for a CK scent. Moderate sillage/projection and moderate to long lasting longevity (somewhere between 5,5-6,5 hours). Very good versatility, a mass appealling spring/fall daytime fragrance. If you feel that Dior Sauvage is too much or harsh for you, this is an alternative. Well done CK.

Tested today and I really like the smell, it has a delicate fruity freshness throughout and a nice sweet amber note mixed with light spice (pepper, cardamom & cinnamon). It is very unisex in my opinion, in fact I think it leans (slightly) more feminine, it's something that I'd find very appealing on a lovely lady. Update: I'm quite impressed with this fragrance, seems like low/subtle sillage & projection but it lasts for a long time on my skin. It's going on my list as a possible future purchase to go alongside my (much loved) CK2 and One Shock recently purchased bottles.

Dont listen to GRAF this smells absolutely nothing like sauvage, sauvage is utter crap and massively overrated. Wish everyone would stop comparing everything to it, the only fragrance that smells similar to sauvage is Prada carbon and that's just the opening. People really need to stop pretending like they know their stuff and actually get a clue. Like CB23 says it's completely misleading and idiotic. On the other hand this is a very nice fragrance, refreshing and unique but like all CK frags quality is questionable.

As a lifelong Obsession wearer I was surprised to discover this new scent only a few months ago. The longevity and performance of this fragrance is superb when compared to Obsession. It has a citrus and spicy opening which projects quite well. It is quite strong at opening, but it does smooth out in about 30 minutes. The musky and vanilla notes remain on my skin for about 6 to 8 hours and I could smell it on clothing about 12 hours later.

Like my other CK fragrances it's a pleasant office-safe fragrance for day-to-day wear. It's also inexpensive so part of my daily rotation when I am WFH or in the office. I am baffled by some of the fragrance notes above though, vanilla dominates for me. An excellent value cheapie for daytime wear, but wouldn't make the cut for a night out. The bottle looks great on the shelf too!

Very impressed on this one. The oppening its very syrupy citrus juice. Remember me a candy or a ice cream. Its mixed with the cardamom. Dont like it that much. But after 1h i get a much more sweet woody thing that came for the vanilla and ambroxan. Very pleasing. Nothing new but its good. A solid 7/10.

Borderline feminine scent as its so fresh and sweet. Would work as a night time date scent and has good sillage and longevity, but its such a strong, fresh scent, its definitely not for everyone.

On my (female) skin this fragrance evolves around the lavender note. It becomes less and less aromatic, until the warmth of drydown that's heavenly.

I like that the grapefruit note isn't as sharp as it usually is

This has so many notes I normally dislike: cardamom, lavender, leather, labdanum, ambroxan, vanilla, amberwood. In normal cases, these notes would automatically cause my review to be negative. HOWEVER, Calvin Klein Obsessed for men is one of the rarer instances that I actually kind of don't mind despite many of the notes aforementioned. It's very strong, for sure, and lasts and lasts, but there is something smooth about it that I can't afford to dislike. The blend is done satisfactorily, and the bottle is really lovely. The opening is especially remarkable, really fresh and citrusy, and when it dries down, it's less impressive but still decent. The dry down has a clear vanilla plus ambroxan scent, but on my skin, I don't get leather that much. Maybe it works differently on others? I don't think this has much feminine vibe at all. I wouldn't imagine this on a woman. Update: I just had another sniff at this and I think I like this one less than before. The ambroxan is too strong for me. I've moved this fragrance to 'ok' as a result.

Certainly not bad for the price tag. It doesn’t feel as modern as it should nor is it the homage to the OG I was hoping to experience since that was such an epic release. Especially for its time. Haven’t been able to find the intense version so can’t speak on that. It’s a pleasant woody citrusy vibe that projects pretty well in the first hour or two then fades into something uncomplicated and nice. Just a little boring for my taste. Or maybe I was expecting to be wowed when I realized one of my favorite perfumers, Ilias Ermenidis was involved. I’ll gladly use up that 2ml and move on lol.

Fruity, spicy, sweet, woody and aromatic. Maybe a bit more on the synthetic side. Either it performs really bad on my skin or I get nose blind to it after 10 minutes. Probably a bit of both. Seems very intimate to me. Not an option to me due to its weak performance.

I couldn't wait for the dry down, had to wash it off, but after that it started to smells good lol, something like vintage Lagerfeld Cologne.

Spicy grapefruit and ambroxan with the weird sourness I've smelled in most CK fragrances. 5/10

Right off the top, Obsessed hits me with that trademark CK freshness - citrus pop infused with a tastefully light lavender touch, rounded out with a subtle spicy edge. Fantastic to my nose, being one who enjoys both fresh and spicy scents. After a good 15-20 minutes of that delightful opening, I definitely start to get the comparisons to Jazz Club - rich, natural leather with a rounded ISO-e (cedar) edge, sweetened ever so lightly by (I guess) geranium and pineapple. I do not pick up the sweet notes individually, but more as a collective, there to keep Obsessed from getting too dry. As the hours loom, the heavy hitters emerge, but not in a way that you'd expect given the stated notes. What I get is a lot of rich, creamy vanilla with ambroxan and patchouli playing so far back that you might not even notice they're there, except for the occasional tell-tale wisp. Smoothness and taste in a modest but persistent scent bubble. Just the way I like it. Overall I get liberal sillage for the first few minutes only, followed by what I'd consider to be arm's length for maybe 2-3 hours, drawing back to about 12" after that. Total duration is longer than I initially expected, no less than 5-6 hours with only a moderate application (3-4 sprays total, neck and wrists). It's a bit on the sweeter side, but in a way that to me reeks of confidence and class. Wife loves it too. EDIT: Over time, this has come to strike me as imbalanced and really cheap smelling -- cloyingly sweet and just a mess. It's one of those rare beasts that starts out great but wears out its welcome. Can't stand it now.

First, let me say that as a female, I’ve always been drawn to “male” fragrances with sweeter bases. They work nicely with my body chemistry, while “female” sweet fragrances usually turn intolerably, cloyingly sweet. I’ve been on the hunt for a gourmand men’s cologne for a long time, but unfortunately, this one isn’t going to work out for me. The top phase was sweet vanilla, citrus, and leather. One of my first thoughts was “My goodness! This is so well-blended!” Then, the pepper came through and added a lot of personality to the vanilla note. This part of the wear reminded me of a spicier Dr. Pepper ... really interesting! Unfortunately, I caught a few whiffs of what smelled like stale, citrusy orris, which was very off-putting. Most of the wear for this fragrance is heavy, masculine spice with an undercurrent of sharp, powdery vanilla. I get the slightest touch of ambroxan, but I can’t smell the cedar note at all. I also can’t pick up on the cardamom, but I suspect it’s just blended in with the pepper. Good longevity and sillage; what you would expect from a traditional men’s cologne. Unfortunately, this fragrance became too robust for me after about 2-3 hours of wear; too strong, too powdery, too sharp. It’s just too potent for me to feel comfortable wearing on a day-to-day basis. This is definitely unisex, though, and I know there are plenty of women that would love this fragrance.

Sweet, with some spice, and a distinct touch of clean/fresh. Nice and cozy in the early stages, but drydown fairly generic. I’d avoid wearing it on hot summer days. [07/27/22 Update: This one has fallen out of favor with me. I no longer like it at all on my skin. I had to wash it off after 30 minutes last time I put it on. I don't dislike the scent itself. I just don't like it on me. I sprayed some around the room as air freshener and didn't think badly of it at all that way, so that's what this bottle will be used for from now on until used up. Or maybe I can find the right combination of fragrances to layer it with.]

When I first tried Obsessed, I loved them fresh opening, and there was an almost creamy vibe as it dried down. I've worn it a few times but rarely gone back to it after picking up other fragrances. I recently started wearing it again, but found the fresh creamy lemon and woody smell quickly fades away and turns to a skin scent after around an hour or two for me. Can pick up the ambroxan later down the line but it barely comes off the skin at that point. It's a scent I like the smell of, but it just doesn't stick around long enough.

It was really good the first few times I wore it, I am getting a little bit sick of the sweetness combined with the pepper though. Before you buy it, get a sample and wear it a few times because you really do love the fragrance right away but trust me the pepper and sweetness gets a bit overwhelming after a while. Longevity 4 hours Projection good for 2 hours Silage average Notes: I can only smell sweetness and pepper

another unnecessary fragrance ... better than female version, but that's all, nthing special. If you want to be really obsessed get original Obsession wich is far more better than this Kleinvictus :)

There is an undeniable "Calvin Klein DNA." From the original Obsession through Eternity to Contradiction, from CK One Shock to CK Be, Calvin Klein fragrances can usually be counted on to include a core of lavender, amber, bergamot (or some other citrus), and (usually) cedar. This Obsessed release contains the lavender, amber, cedar, and citrus notes which mark it as very Calvin Klein. It opens with a very bright citrus sweetness (heightened by pineapple, but sharpened by pepper) that lasts for a very long time. After a half hour or so, some floral shades start to appear, still topped off with the lemon and grapefruit notes. As the final dry down approaches, the cardamom and lavender (grounded by a soft vanilla base) rise to the top and begin to stand out as compliments to the cedar and citrus, and the bouquet becomes extremely reminiscent of YSL's La Nuit de l'Homme (which also prominently features cardamom and lavender). I was rather taken aback by this similarity, and found it very pleasing. There is very little connection between this fragrance and the original Obsession (or its flankers), but there doesn't need to be. This juice stands up all on its own. The projection and longevity are both above average (I'm still catching fairly strong whiffs nearly 8 hours later), and this is a welcome change from recent Calvin Klein releases. Thumbs up to this one. I'll be using it regularly during the warmer months.

I basically came on here to find out if this Could Be unisex. I was on the CK website and when I read the notes cast of this fragrance I almost bought it before even looking to see if it was for women or not. I'm glad to see that a lot of people indicated that it can be worn by a woman. I'm basically writing this because I'm also constantly on the search for something that smells like original vintage women's eternity. That was my favorite perfume in high school in the late 80s. I haven't worn that in many many years and recently purchased a new bottle of it and I was shocked at what I received. I thought that it was a fake. It resembles what it used to smell like but it's not the heavy hitter that it once was. I miss that strong beautiful opening and the green notes in eternity. Where in the world did all the green notes go? That's what made the perfume Beautiful. Anyway I know this is not a review about eternity but this seems like the group that might have a clue about this. I don't know how to describe precisely what I'm talking about. In fact just understanding that it's the green note in eternity that I'm missing is brogress for me. Oh and I also saw that they are selling something called eternity intense. I'm about to look that up to see if it is something better than the fake eternity that they're selling now

I begin with a disclaimer. I did NOT want to like this men's cologne, Obsessed. To my way of thinking, the last decent thing CK offered was "Truth," in 2002, and even it has fallen by the wayside. So, with a mind full of jaded skepticism, I went into Belk and sprayed it on. Wow! I was intrigued. Went to look at the notes; I was impressed. Waited for the scent to settle in; I was excited. It's UNlike ANYthing out there right now, and in a good way! It smells as transparent as it looks (which is clean and simple), but the transparency is, you "get" the notes. Blast of citrus, then woods, then a solid base of ambrox, patchouli, and an amazingly male scent friendly vanilla note. One of the cleanest frags I've sprayed in awhile. Definitely worth having in your rotation; plus the price is reasonable. Oh yes, there WILL be "haters" out there (some folks hate for the sheer joy of hating); but if you give it a fair hearing (smelling), you will want it, for sure. Along with "Sauvage Really Cool Spray," one of the best newbies out there.

Amazing soapy opening that mixes well with some sweetness, cardamom, and the leather. It has an effervescent feel too it, it smells very fresh and sweet. Then after about 30 minutes it dries down to what I consider a "date" style scent. It's a smooth, sweet, warm, resinous, vanilla, scent that lasts for ages. In this stage it is sort of like Eros with that fresh, woody, vanilla thing going on. It smells very much in line with that trendy modern sweetness. I am fairly averse to ambroxan, but this one comes off more like a classic amber unisex soapiness and fades to the background of the fragrance within an hour, but lasting as this subtle base note until the next day. It's nothing like the god awful ambroxan found in Dior Sauvage or the Prada Luna Rossa line, both of which make me nauseous. There are some drawbacks to this one for me, I am not a fan of the patchouli that comes in the dry down, it's very strong. And it's a tad bit generic/boring.

A very pleasant, basic, formal cologne. It has a soft warm vanillic ambery base. And has a sweet slightly vibrant candy like Twizzler scent from its projection. It's weird, Obsessed smells youthful and kinda old timey at the same time. It's like if you brought a 17 year old from the 1950's to present day. Yes they're still youthful, but they feel like they have very old-school values. Obsessed is what kids today would describe as "mid" (average or ok) It's like the Ford Fusion of colognes. A very basic product that's going to get you from A to B, that's not going to overly impress or offend. I find myself only wanting to wear Obsessed in cordial setting like Church or Work. Where I don't want to offend, but don't want to smell bland either. It's a respectable cologne. Not a must have however, it's easily substitutable.

A blind buy. I'm usually not one for sweet fragrances, especially those with ambroxan. Yet when I saw this available for a good price, I thought why not? I've never met a CK scent that I absolutely hated, plus I probably needed at least one sweet scent in my arsenal (now that my Cool Water Intense is gone). Not bad. I concur with most of the positive comments here. The vanilla never really comes through to me. It's an unusual blend of slightly candied citrus and amber, with a ghost note of fig (?). The ambroxan is noticeable and ensures this will be an occasional reach for me, never a regular one. Beautifully minimalist bottle, with a great feel. Recommended if you like sweet fragrances, and are not expecting for this flanker to resemble the original legend in any way whatsoever.

It seems that after some risky things (Encounter, Reveal) Calvin Klein finally got their bestseller. Shockingly in that beautiful transparent bottle I met a clone of JPG Ultra Male. After the first wearing I can't say there are any differences between them. Obsessed is sweet, ultra sweet, super sweet fragrance with that bubble gum super fruity sirupy and a bit spicy dry down that is typical for Ultra Male. I got some iris in Obsessed that makes it closer to Zara Gourmand Leather. That a good news for those who complain Ultra Male is discontinued or out of sale somewhere. Obsessed will be a right replacement. Like it. As for womens Obsessed it smells almost the same as CK One. Quite strange duo to my mind.

Not a bad offering in the wonderful Obsession line; as a frag head who doesn't rate CK frags, my one exception being the original Obsession which was a heavenly creation (every rule has an exception right?), I am always going to check out anything from CK with the 'Obsession' moniker in it's branding. This is a classic feel-good, sweet and sensual fragrance - no challenging notes or awkward layering here. It's like a less powerful course of Ultra Male by JPG. If you like Obsession Night or Creed's Virgin Island Water, you'll probably like this too. This is an ideal feel-good holiday scent when you're relaxing with a nice rum drink alongside your partner and you have a fresh white shirt on - good times!

Tried this at Kohl’s before heading to work one night and instantly thought it’s the same as every other oriental vanilla fragrance however I compared it to my Versace Eros and truthfully side by side they are very different! This one has an amazing dry down and on my skin and clothes lasts at least 6 to 8 hours strong. It’s sweet, sexy, vanilla perfect for dates, night outs and just fall and winter all around. It’s even sexy and light enough to wear in the summer nights as well. A great well blended fragrance. I haven’t purchased it yet but it’s next on my list for sure! The amber and vanilla with the fresh woody notes blend amazingly and make for a super sexy lovable scent. Definitely worth the buy.

A clear, glass rectangular oval flacon which goes with the brand's unisex image.It has the rectangular shape depicting masculinity but rounded smooth edges showing a softness too. The clear white bottle gives the impression that this fragrance is apt for summer and day wear. Although the bottle says "for Men" this is not a very macho fragrance and can be worn by ladies too! It is a Warm,Oriental ,Woody and Spicy perfume .The opening notes are sharp Spicy and Cedar for me,it then settles to a sweeter but not overtly Vanilla and AmberI do not notice the other notes palpably. Moderate staying power.
