Pure Gold Euphoria Men

This is very good. It is unlike the rest of the line. It’s an oud you don’t have to wash off. An oud you can spray more than a half spray without knocking everyone out. It’s a slightly fresh oud that dries easily to a soft ambery sandalwood patchouli It’s unlike any Calvin Klein I’ve owned. It is the least like any other flanker of any other CK line. (Previous winner was Obsession Dark) All said 6hr solid projection. 10hrs soft. Inoffensive, office friendly, confident oud. While the sent might not be unique the fragrance itself is quite. I wouldn’t wear in warm weather but I’m sure it wouldn’t weigh you down if you did. It’s shines in fall. Great Value. Glad to have.

I enjoy Calvin Klein "Euphoria Pure Gold for Men" a lot, and one reason why I enjoy it is because it caused me to realize that pine (or pine needles) goes well with a rose/oud combination (designer oud at least). The oud aspect of it somewhat reminds me of Jacques Bogart "One Man Show Oud Edition" (which I do enjoy). I'm very glad that I got to have at least one bottle of Calvin Klein "Euphoria Pure Gold for Men": it is a good fragrance. It's one of my favorites from Calvin Klein, in addition to "Euphoria Amber Gold for Men" and "Eternity EDP for Men" for example. I do recommend this one, but I wouldn't pay too high of a "collector's item" price for it.

Sad to see this being ignored. Fantastic wearable oud scent. Longevity is good enough for me. People around me could smell this for 6-7 hours. I strongly recommend finding a bottle of this for your collection. I usually stay away from Calvin Klein Perfumes. This was a gift which I am very grateful for as I would've never discovered it otherwise.

I want to love this and I cannot. This foray into Oud scents was a dead end and I think I will only shoot for high-end Ouds from here if this is where the affordable Oud trails lead me. I'll be giving this away. Can't think of any occasion this would work. I have to say, the Oud used is fine, but the blend here has WAY too much saffron. It nearly doesn't make sense. Reminds me of my Tia's yellow rice smell held against heavy old man barbershop territory and it clashes in a bad way for me. More powder than rose, and that saffron just lingers like a nervous house guest who doesn't know how to excuse themselves. Since you're not able to sample these kinds of discontinued scents, they may be tempting to blind buy, but I have to say, I would never blindly buy this, even for $30. I own Euphoria Intense, and the Oud in that is much darker and pronounced, how you want it blended. EDIT: DID NOT THROW AWAY & HAPPY ABOUT KEEPING. My fragrance nose has evolved quickly and now that saffron is setting this into the stratosphere for me. I'm quickly growing tired of synthetics and freshies, and holy cow, this is the antithesis of those. Dry, rosy oud over pine needles and saffron, a perfectly blended oud, only hard to find!

IMO.....I really do not "get" the similarities of the above "reminds me of" list....to CK Pure Gold. Ok...some of them share the same notes....So. I do "like" CK Pure Gold for what it is. Mainstream....that is easy to understand and easy to wear....and likeable. The rose (?) and oud (?)....are "slight"...on my skin/to my nose. The vanilla provides a tad of sweetness....the cardamom and saffron....sandalwood for balance. Juniper and pine are subtle additions. Musky patchouli,I do sense in the dry-down. To add some "oomph" to this one...I layer the CK Pure Gold for women....with this. It adds sweetness and helps "lift" the notes ...if that makes any sense. Average/moderate performance.

Initial impressions- A very mainstream take on oud-rose and I say that as a compliment not an insult. This is not geared toward those who seek super skanky authentic barnyard ouds, this is a sweet woody-rose fragrance that just hints at smooth facets of oud. I could see being well received by the ladies, but perhaps a bit dandy-ish in western tastes. Looking at the pyramid, I can pick out the vanilla and rose, the cardamom with saffron, oud and others providing just enough masculinity to balance. Could easily be worn by anyone who likes pleasant, sweet, and slightly woody rose fragrances. Definitely unisex.

Reminiscent of Montale black aoud - smells like Comet or Ajax household cleanser. But with this Pure Gold it works out ok - while the Montale is off-putting. Though it's pretty weak, with low sillage, and becomes a skin scent within an hour. Remains like that for several hours more. A blind buy, I wish I hadn't. $42 (w/ a $30 discount) down the drain.

Beautiful beginner rose+oud fragrance. 👍 Cheap but very good quality with very good longevity and projection.

This has obvious similarities to the other Euphoria fragrances like Euphoria Intense and Euphoria Essence but Pure Gold is drier with a rose note in the opening that soon settles down. Those other fragrances had better performance believe it or not. Pure Gold smells pleasant in the opening but it’s doesn’t seem to project much and the performance is terrible for a eau de parfum. It's like it's dead in the water not long after spraying. This was a big disappointment.

I work in retail and i wanted to try this before my shift... I'm sorry but.... when i sprayed this.. "are you kidding me?!" It starts with a strong Oudh / sandalwood... but all the wrong aspects of it. it smells like a caramel that's been left in a car trunk for 3 years... i've had unwashed tanktops that had this musty fusty caramel like sweetness. It might be the saffron that makes it weird. But no ;c Sorry, but...this is oudh done wrong.

Good rose oud scent with medium projection (Aramis Caligraphy Rose is far better in all aspects...). It doesn ́t appear to be a monster of sillage. Good longevity. 1st and last buy i think, because, thus far, is nothing special. Let ́s see how it evolves. Peace out. edit: Yeap, for me, close to the skin. Terrible performance, so close to the skin, no power, no rage, nothing. Waste of money. Next...

I have it for about 8 years or more, and i don't remember if i have sprayed it more than a couple of time, i bought it because i have been foold by the opening, fresh, sweaty ans spicy,, give it only 5 minutes then it will become strong honey smell with fainty oud, tobacco scent. Some would have nausea .. I a very cool day, spray it once of twice in the pants 👖

Awful awful scent! Smells like synthetic oud thats it Notes on paper are amazing, DON'T BLIND BUT THIS!

Quick first impressions I sampled it today and I was impressed by it. this is a sweet spicy woody middle eastern style fragrance. I got alot of cardamom, a hint of rose and some medicinal oud in the opening. it quickly started to sweeten up and that is when it started reminding me somewhat of ambre narguile. it is much less sweet though and more spicy. so maybe just 30-40% similarity there. another fragrance that comes to mind is Guerlain Santal Royale. it gives off a similar vibe. the vanilla in the drydown is not too sweet and not too intense. i got more of the woods/oud in the drydown. now the performance could be just moderate or average.

Hi @AmoreProfumi I typed "CK's first Rose+Oud frag?" Please note the question mark at the end. It was more of a rhetorical question that presupposes that I was making a speculative point and not conclusive. I don't care if this is CK's nth Oud frag. But never heard of CK launching a Rose+Oud combo of a frag before. Correct me if I'm wrong. And by the way, fragrance reviews are subjective. You don't make snide remarks (i.e. throw shade) at anyone's review in fragcom. You don't :)

I bought this a few months back at Abu Dhabi airport, I'm glad they're finally putting the notes out as I couldn't figure out what I was smelling. Just FYI it smells nothing like any of the other CK Euphoria range, in fact if I didn't own the bottle and just smelled it I wouldn't believe it's from CK it's unlike any of their others

This is interesting. CK's first Rose+Oud frag? Never wanted designer frag this 2017, only niche frags. But with a titillating release with most of my fave notes intact, I'd love to pick this!

It's funny people keep referring to this as CK's first OUD fragrance but fail to remember that CK Euphoria Intense & Ck Encounter both have Agarwood (Oud) in them..
