Black Diamond

Every boutique I went to, I asked why they only carried a 50ml epd of black diamond? They all said that Black Diamond by Canali was no longer available, I couldn't figure out why so I went on a quest to buy a bottle. Finally faith had it, I went to one of my usual places for hard to find frag's and I lucked out buying a bottle of 100ml EDP. I must agree with those comments who consider it a frag for special occasions and texudo moments. When I sprayed this juice on my wrist I definitely pick up a smooth leathery blend with a floral notes more of jasmine being sweet followed by violet. After the frag settles the amazing aroma of leather still comes through with a woodsy spicy blend of coriander a touch of cedar with a stronger pronounced aroma of sandalwood. To balance this complex symphony of notes Canali adds amber and tonka beans giving it depth with a warm tone and also keeping leather the main note above all. longevity is moderate to good...I would of thought it would last at least 8hrs being edp. Silage is also good...definitely not heavy or overbearing at all. My final throughs, It is labeled as edp but actually is more like edt. In all I'm pleased that this frag has a real attractive airy mild leathery/woodsy masculine aroma. This frag could be used all year round. I would consider it more as a summer/fall fragrance being more delicately balanced with floral notes. It has a very relaxing vib which is much more attractive. Rating this juice is EXCELLENT! At least 8.5/10....I would recommend to those who want a fragrance which isn't offensive or heavy when you are around a large gathering. With two sprays it will go at least 6-8hrs...2 thumbs up in my opinion!!!

Quiet Special! :) first 1-2 hours, heavy sillage, strong leather in the front and the violet and the pineapple in the back. After that, its close to skin... very close... but it last very long, up to 12 hours. The leather go back and let the pineapple in the front with the violet. More evening fragrance, needs cold weather or a breezy chilly summer, not warm weather... I will say all season but again, needs cool weather. so... Scent: bit unique, 8/10 Longevity: need to be very close to smell ti after 2 hours, 5/10 Sillage: again too close to the skin, 6/10 Overall: Smell great but not long enough, 7/10

Like Kristo below i too have been wearing ths a lot more lately. When i frst got it i could take it or leave it and almost forgot about it until i found it mournfully lying in a draw. The main vibe i get from it are a fruity leather, almost like the fruit has infused the leather rather than any development of notes. I find that it stays pretty much the same from start to finish (which is a very long time)and is very addictive. It is a classy scent and like another reviewer i find it hard to find the right time or place to wear this.

I have a 100ml bottle of the original product. It is heady, seductive and the floral aspect is lush and delicious. It is a voluptuous bouquet but not at all feminine; an appealing and unique men’s scent. I agree with reviews that this is a fragrance for a very special occasion.

60+ colognes in the collection and this is #1. By far more compliments with this than anything else I've ever worn.
