Oooohhh mmmmyyy Lord! GORGEOUS IN YOUR FACE medicinal bright citrus continuous powerhouse with smashed up fresh bay leaf and boozy orange (drambuie maybe) slapping you in the face and strong spiced tobacco just underneath. I feel like I’ve been transported to an old fashioned barber shop in 18th century London or the American Wild West. I disagree with recommendations here - this is one of only a few scents that works anywhere any occasion any season any time. The sort of scent you’d wear after a proper old fashioned shave and head back to work... Vaguely similar to Czech and Speake Cuba though far stronger, brighter and greater in depth - I do not think there is a comparable product out there - to the top place of my shelf you go! The Captain Fawcett brand smashes it out of the park again, with this swashbuckling approach to a woody perfume. It is the true scent of adventure and is best paired with a brisk coastal walk, where you pretend you are a pirate explorer, looking for a settlement to pillage. It is not too extortionate on the piggy bank, but I would like a bit more perfume to be in the bottle, as there is a rather large chunk of glass at the bottom of the bottle, which takes up a considerable amount of space, leaving less space for the precious perfume nectar. A cheap and dirty trick, which, when you consider the subject matter, actually plays into it's story.! I am not normally a fan of woody scents, but this one has so much pomp and swagger, that I enjoy a lot. It is a drunken pirate staggering down a cliff, to foolishly attack a stationed pontoon, that is holding multiple boxes of tea. As gregarious as this pirate is, his courage is quickly squashed, by a few shots from muskets, the scent of which you also get in this bombastic blend. Frisky, urgent, rugged and yet, somehow refined at the same time. 7/10. Get rid of the chunk of glass at the bottom and it's an 8.

In my humble opinion this is a powerful fragrance, like a slap in the face, but surprisingly pleasant, something you can't get enough of, no matter how much you try. On me it lasts the whole day. You definitely don't need to spray much. Even couple sprays makes you feel guilty, like you're going to suffocate anyone who has to be in the same room as you for longer than five minutes. Clings on the clothes as well. I can smell this on my used clothes even a week later. I like it! It reminds me of old pubs and men who spend way too much money on cigars, but it's also somehow fresh. Doesn't make you feel like you're wearing some sort of cheap deodorant spray. I would even call it sophisticated. Lovely fragrance, not exactly what I was expecting, but definitely one of my favorites.

An underrated niche masterpiece if you like boozy sweet resinous challenging fragrances get this.It is a very daring fragrance smells a bit medicinal in the beginning however let it settle and throughout the day it evolves .My only gripe is they don't do 100ml bottles as £65.00 for 50ml is slightly steep but not the worst by any means.There are many other niche companies that do a lot worse with their pricing and produce inferior products. They should be 100ml for £100 I'm any case this is highly slept on and a great option for boozy sweet tobacco lovers its like a more refined version of D&G The One EDP with booze as an idea.

This smells exactly like mulled wine or glögg as we call it in Sweden, atleast in the opening, after it has dried down the mulled wine feel goes away a bit and you start to notice the boozy tobacco vanilla. For the people that doesn't know what it is, you put cardamom seeds, whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, bitter orange peels, dried ginger and raisins together and cover with vodka or cognac and steep for several days, drain the mixture and combine it with red wine and sugar in a pot and cook it on low heat until the sugar is dissolved. So for me this reminds me of Christmas, tried it once and bought a full bottle.
