Oooohhh mmmmyyy Lord! GORGEOUS IN YOUR FACE medicinal bright citrus continuous powerhouse with smashed up fresh bay leaf and boozy orange (drambuie maybe) slapping you in the face and strong spiced tobacco just underneath. I feel like I’ve been transported to an old fashioned barber shop in 18th century London or the American Wild West. I disagree with recommendations here - this is one of only a few scents that works anywhere any occasion any season any time. The sort of scent you’d wear after a proper old fashioned shave and head back to work... Vaguely similar to Czech and Speake Cuba though far stronger, brighter and greater in depth - I do not think there is a comparable product out there - to the top place of my shelf you go! The Captain Fawcett brand smashes it out of the park again, with this swashbuckling approach to a woody perfume. It is the true scent of adventure and is best paired with a brisk coastal walk, where you pretend you are a pirate explorer, looking for a settlement to pillage. It is not too extortionate on the piggy bank, but I would like a bit more perfume to be in the bottle, as there is a rather large chunk of glass at the bottom of the bottle, which takes up a considerable amount of space, leaving less space for the precious perfume nectar. A cheap and dirty trick, which, when you consider the subject matter, actually plays into it's story.! I am not normally a fan of woody scents, but this one has so much pomp and swagger, that I enjoy a lot. It is a drunken pirate staggering down a cliff, to foolishly attack a stationed pontoon, that is holding multiple boxes of tea. As gregarious as this pirate is, his courage is quickly squashed, by a few shots from muskets, the scent of which you also get in this bombastic blend. Frisky, urgent, rugged and yet, somehow refined at the same time. 7/10. Get rid of the chunk of glass at the bottom and it's an 8.

In my humble opinion this is a powerful fragrance, like a slap in the face, but surprisingly pleasant, something you can't get enough of, no matter how much you try. On me it lasts the whole day. You definitely don't need to spray much. Even couple sprays makes you feel guilty, like you're going to suffocate anyone who has to be in the same room as you for longer than five minutes. Clings on the clothes as well. I can smell this on my used clothes even a week later. I like it! It reminds me of old pubs and men who spend way too much money on cigars, but it's also somehow fresh. Doesn't make you feel like you're wearing some sort of cheap deodorant spray. I would even call it sophisticated. Lovely fragrance, not exactly what I was expecting, but definitely one of my favorites.

An underrated niche masterpiece if you like boozy sweet resinous challenging fragrances get this.It is a very daring fragrance smells a bit medicinal in the beginning however let it settle and throughout the day it evolves .My only gripe is they don't do 100ml bottles as £65.00 for 50ml is slightly steep but not the worst by any means.There are many other niche companies that do a lot worse with their pricing and produce inferior products. They should be 100ml for £100 I'm any case this is highly slept on and a great option for boozy sweet tobacco lovers its like a more refined version of D&G The One EDP with booze as an idea.

This smells exactly like mulled wine or glögg as we call it in Sweden, atleast in the opening, after it has dried down the mulled wine feel goes away a bit and you start to notice the boozy tobacco vanilla. For the people that doesn't know what it is, you put cardamom seeds, whole cloves, cinnamon sticks, bitter orange peels, dried ginger and raisins together and cover with vodka or cognac and steep for several days, drain the mixture and combine it with red wine and sugar in a pot and cook it on low heat until the sugar is dissolved. So for me this reminds me of Christmas, tried it once and bought a full bottle.

This smells to me like cloves are being ground up from every orifice of your body. It's great. It's overpowering. It's extremely male, perhaps the most "male" perfume I've smelled (not neccessarily the most masculine). It's not subtle, and it's a bit hard to wear. With all that said, I recommend it. I am very surprised that cloves are not in the notes - grind up some cloves near your nose, chew others, and that's very close to the opening, mid notes of this perfume.

I love this fragrance! At first, it smells REALLY strong, and I am addicted to that smell! But it`s probably not for everyone. It calms down quite a bit after a while, and it just smells MAN! I don't know shit about notes, for me it gives "biker(mc)", "lumberjack, "long bearded whisky drinker", etc. Like a man's man. It`s pretty cool to layer it, too! The smell is unique tho, and perhaps not a blind buy, although I did.

I adore the combination of bay rum, incense and tobacco leaves here. It's like sitting in a church next to a chain smoker... or sitting in a tiki bar next to a priest. As a side note - if you like 'Booze and Baccy' but find it a little hard to wear at times, try 'Potpourri' By SMN. It's similarly medicinal but more toned down and approachable.

The "haters," who systematically slander and criticize, know where they belong. I'm a huge fan of this line of "barber" products; it's truly wonderful, and their fragrances are incredible. Everything is exquisitely designed. In their fragrance line, for me, it's the best of all. Remember... "Ricki Halls Booze & Baccy..."

You'll always remember your first love. A punch in the face, unapologetic, medicinal, dirty, stomach churning, manly testosterone filled juice. Imagine Jack Sparrow wearing a leather coat, chewing on bay leaves after chugging a bottle of rum and smoking a cigar.

One of my favourite scents, it lasts for a very long time on your skin and also clothes. The top notes i recognize are Bay Rum and orange, followed from Tobacco, Benzoine and Vanilla.

If Charles Bronson were alive, then this would be his signature . Made for men with hair on their chests . KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN. It is either love or hate. For me, it is love.

Captain Fawcett Booze and Baccy Eau De Parfum is a manly slap in the face. Something you wear when you are going to the pub or going to start a fight. I love it.

Nice, but very straight forward. If you like your fragrances to knock your socks off and keep them off. This is one for you. The opening through to the dry down are all very similar. Heavy spice, pine tar, bay leaf, frankincense and galbanum dominate all layers and remain similar in intensity. The rum and citrus give a temporary background in the opening but they dissipate very quickly, I think this could be amazing if they were allowed to shine more. I'd also like to get more sweetness in the dry down, let the tobacco and vanilla come through more...but that first hardcore accord won't let it. Its good but I feel it missed greatness.

Very, very nice, creative, and unique. Starts with prominent bay leaf and frankincense, which will turn down a lot of people. Extremely masculine. As it dries down, tobacco, rum, and vanilla start to come out, which is why it slightly reminds me of Enigma (but far less sweet). Very nice performance, especially for te price 9/10 for creativity

Bought this years ago and has always been one of my favourites for certain situations. It's like a proper old school gone drinking all day in the pub and got in a bit of trouble along the way. Heavy tobacco scent with a nice vanilla base note. This is my strongest smelling scent and I have dior sauvage elixir.

A boozy opening, not bad but not so delicious also. First initial smell is not so good, but after 3-4 min it settles down to a masculin pine tree smell like ”Pino Silvester”. But again the very late dry down is medicinal and syntetic. My overall evaluation is: 4/5

Arguably Captain Fawcett's greatest scent. Definitely not for everyone, but if you want a bold scent that stands out then this will likely fit the bill. Not the best performance, but worth the price for the experience alone.

Bay and tobacco leaf. Some rum. The rest is barbershop vibes. Drys down quick into a musky incense in an ashtray. Good stuff. Like an upscale aftershave.

Beast of a fragrance but also unfortunately utterly ghastly. I was intrigued by this have had such negative feedback. Don’t be fooled by the name. There is no booze or tobacco. It smells herbal and harsh. A very linear one dimensional fragrance that leaves your skin smelling like bay leaves and cough syrup. Car crash of a fragrance.

Smells like; disappointment, a doctor's waiting room heavy in the knowledge that bad news is just around the corner, cheap cigs and an overflowing ashtray. One for only the most die hard Fletcher fans!

- 2021 sample - I've sampled almost 200 fragrances in my life and it is the first time I had to rub one off my wrist. I found it way too medicinal and in-your-face, not in a positive way (IMO). This is so acre and pungent it would make Fahrenheit smell like a lady's cologne in comparison. It certainly is a love or hate fragrance, not a mass-pleasing one. Definitely sample it first.

It's strong. Very strong. You will probably take the attention of the entire room. Bay leaf and rum is the only thing I can smell. Big no for me.

Si apre con un accordo di arancia, rum ed alloro che ricorda molti Bay Rum della tradizione barbershop anglosassone. Tale accordo, quasi medicinale, entrando a contatto con l'olibano, si trasforma quasi subito in una nota non dichiarata di chiodi di garofano. E qui la Fragranza si è quasi del tutto manifestata. L'olibano si farà ancor più strada nel tempo ma senza che si possa mai dimenticare l'apertura... L'accordo incensato dolciastro su cui si deposita è soltanto una eco dell'inizio di tale percorso e non c'è mai un netto stacco ed una netta evoluzione verso il tanto sperato accordo di tabacco realistico di cui molti utenti Usa ed internazionali parlano...fragranza da Ricki Hall, con tanto di barba lunga curata e tatuaggi, che siede su di una poltrona di pelle di un club con sigaro e bicchiere di Rum?... A me fa pensare più ad un gentleman appena uscito da una barberia.. Molto elegante, vecchia scuola. Ma l'accordo maschio di tabacco e Rum è più nell'immaginario che si vuole evocare che nella fragranza stessa... E, dato l'incensato olibano piuttosto leggero e l'accordo di bay rum/chiodi di garofano /arancia, mi fa pensare più ad un sacrestano ben curato e rasato che ad un figo con tatuaggi, barba lunga, sigaro e bicchiere... Essendo appassionato della vecchia scuola e della rasatura tradizionale ci sta pure, ma l'accordo realistico di tabacco e club lo sto ancora cercando.... Prestazioni? Persistente si ma delicato e vicino alla pelle ... Almeno con i due miei soliti spruzzi dietro al collo ed in questo caso uno sul polso... Per il prezzo mi aspettavo in generale qualcosa di più... È poco più di tanti dopobarba ed è anzi più mansueto di tanti di essi.. Spero di rivalutarlo dopo anni di macerazione almeno....ma temo anche questa volta il mercato europeo e la porca Ifra Italiana abbiano distrutto qualcosa che fu fatta assai meglio di quello che ha potuto raggiungere i nostri ordini amazon e siti vari....peccato....porca Ifra, ripetiamolo in coro!

Perfume could be great ... Could be , as the opening is exactly like Ricki Hall description is- strong and masuline ,a bit oldschool but the logevity is unfortunately very poor what discredits this perfume. Amazing 1 hour and nothing more. As I really like the smell itself - do you know any similar fragrance with better performance ?

It smells like a traditional British pharmacy. Like a better, more complex version of Taylor of London Sandalwood aftershave. Or maybe that snuff thing for when people faint. Or old fashioned traditional cough sweets. It has a medicinal aroma in a pleasant, traditionally British way. Sorry, it’s very difficult to describe.

A lovely winter scent. Tobacco is strong on this one. The booze less so in my opinion. It lasts all night on my skin. I wear this one for me as I do not care for crowd pleasers. It is warm, complex and exotic. One to wear in front of the fireplace on cosy cold evenings. Love it.

Absolutely rank until the drydown, then turns to magic. Becomes this delicious ambery booze with a warm, woody tobacco. The first hour or so... Not for me. Highly medicinal and misses the opportunity to be a warm beauty.

This reminds me a lot of Bois du Portugal. Just a little heavier on cloves.
