I had never heard of this brand before it popped up on a search for another frag, had a quick brief read of reviews and decided to take a risk and bought a FB seeing as it had a generous discount. I was partially hopeful, but more or less sceptical it would excite me. I have to say this is indeed an exceptionally awesome, dense, slightly dark , resinous and complex fragrance. It has a waxy jasmine feel to it, not unlike Le Maroc Pour Elle by Tauer, except this seemed a little bit more versatile, a bit more relaxed, and yet keeping inline with the same vibe I got from Le Maroc Pour Elle. This does have a sweet feel to it, I'm guessing it is coming from the Opoponax and Benzoin, and yet very well balanced, just to take the edge I'm guessing from the slightly indolic feel of the jasmine. The floral do have a blended fell with the Orange Blossom. The Myrrh and Patchouli are more supporting to give it a nice backbone. All in a all an exceptional great find, and one that I would highly recommend. I am tempted to try out another one from the line, by same perfumer; Orson I believe it is, but George also piqued my interest. Enjoy and God bless :)

Aurelien works best in spring and fall, but also winter. Summer heat nowadays makes it die. Just like so many perfumes that used to shine in warm weather, the extreme heat (globally) is a killer. Carine is known to have been a heavy Opium wearer, along Fleurs d’Oranger. And layering. Aurelien, smelled in the sillage in the air, is like smelling Youth Dew on top of Lush Karma cream. Softly spicy. White floral. Bitter citrus rind and skin. Evocative and yet different. It has a certain je ne sais quoi that is not found in mainstream perfumery, a somewhat hidden erotic fetish that reveals itself to those who can understand it. VW Boudoir had it in spades. While completely different as a perfume and concept, Aurelien has it too. And I think in mainstream designer perfumery these are two of very very few modern releases that showcase this sensuality. One day, when it’s discontinued, it will be missed and lauded. Don’t let it be the case.

Opulent and rakish white florals, most notably orange blossom, on dark, sweetish resins and balsamic notes. Sporadic flashbacks to Kouros and Fleurs d'Oranger blur the lines between genders. A 'black ambergris accord' finally draws the curtains, further adding a saline layer to the intimate atmosphere. Always subtly hinting at the animalic and indolic, never crossing over into the difficult, let alone distasteful. Aurélien takes classic feminine and masculine tropes from the 80's and 90's alike, uniting them into to a waxy, alluring, and potent floral Oriental suitable for both women and men. Grover Washington Jr.'s Winelight as a perfume.

This is fantastic for anytime of the day or night any season. It's sexy amd has strong sillage. I get orange flower and incense mostly some amber too. Lasts forever on skin and clothes. I almost bought "carine" but decided on aureline since it seems that everyone else is going for Carine, besides aureline lasts much longer on me. And the myrrh...oh my its just heaven. The only downside i can see is the price and it's not available in a smaller size. I have amassed quite a collection and am a tad fickle when it comes to scent and really like to get 1.7 oz bottles. But this is so good I had to have it.

This feels to me more of a London scent, specifically Soho. And not Paris. I adore this however, it lasts hours on skin and radiates beautifully in heat. It makes me want to wear a nice black silk shirt and formal trousers and wear my favourite lipstick, it makes me feel confident so it’s a winner. The bottle is beautiful and heavy, love that there is a little booklet with the perfume with the ideas behind the “7 Lovers” range. Orange blossoms and spice, it’s not a challenging wear, it’s just delicious.

Beautiful spicy resinous floral. There is a bit of jamminess from the jasmine and brightness from the orange blossom (and a hint of indolic growl from both). Those two dominant floral notes are blended together super well with the resins. Also, it doesn't so much smell like "cow hide leather," but there is this beautiful, sweet, supple leathery texture that the resins give to the flowers. Lovely and classic in feel.

Smells like the aftermath of and embrace between someone wearing Estée Lauder's Aliage and another One wearing Opium . Stunning. Beautiful, Unique even thought It strongly reminds of something vintage.

Out of them all this one made me sit up and take notice. A sexy smiling man drinking beer in a pub with an aura of light sweat. Why is it so expensive grrrrrrr

Waxy, slightly indolic, but above all loud orange blossom that slowly but surely sinks into a bog of balsams. Beautiful, but also quite exhausting!

Slightly boozy, amber-y opening which is followed by what can best be described as a condom smell. Not impressed.

This smells like an old lady in fishnets whose favorite dessert is butter biscuits with orange marmalade.

Exquisite perfume! Full, opulent, and rich. Feels very luxurious and unique, haven't tried anything very similar to this so this really sparked my curiosity immediately upon spraying. I was surprised as I tried it in a hot climate, I thought it's going to be too much, but it was as magical as it would be in a colder climate. On skin the scent turns very balsamic, the smell is so luxurious it feels almost as if you used the most expensive ancient Egyptian oils after soaking in water full of lightly sweet orange blossoms. So so so luxurious. There is no 'church-like' feeling, although the resinous notes are pretty prominent, here it's more like an ambery feeling. Deep darker amber notes with soft sweetness. I don't get anything smoky or spicy at all. Doesn't remind me of Opium at all, and I wore that perfume for a couple of years. Opium feels more intense, spicy, more aggressive somehow. This is nothing like it. I get no similarities whatsoever. I found this perfume perfect for special formal occasions when you dress up and look elegant. It gives this touch of intrigue and character while perfectly complimenting the attire. Unisex for sure.

Benzoin, ambergris, and myrrh with a touch of orange blossoms... This has green touch on top of a smoky myrrh (i believe it could be the opoponax) with something dewy green (i believe it could be the baby green jasmines), with bitter orange blossoms. I can't detect any patchouli. It's after all has something peppery in it. Beautiful.

Sweet, spicy floral(Mellis accord). strong orange blossom, cinnamic vibe resin(benzoin), and wet, smoky, medicinal resin(myrhh) are mixed. Somewhat reminds me of Coco and Opium, like the roses in there are replaced by Orange blossoms.

So did this perfumer boink Carone Roitfeld, and then create a perfume for her brand, named after himself?! I want this to be true.

Smells very headshoppy, if you like opoppanax, you’ll like it, but for me it’s just straight up grape incense sticks.
