Fig Nuit

The first version had a more citrusy opening, with a medium-intensity milk-like fig, fresh fig, rounded off with a soft, powdery nuance. However, the first version of the perfume was much brighter, a daytime variant, I would say, while here we have an evening walk through a fig field. The fig here is overripe, the milk has boiled over, and purple flowers have been added—iris and violet—that introduce an additional twist to the whole composition. The opening of this perfume creates a delicious prelude of hot milk, overripe fig with the scent of an excited body. This first note is about 65%, and the latter is about 35%. Yes, it’s true, this is the effect I got on my skin, and I can understand why this perfume, deep down, is actually sensual, because it has an inherent need to be so. The heart, or essence, of this perfume is sensuality—the hidden one that reveals itself in layers, and you need to wait for it a bit. And finally, when it steps onto the stage? The lights can go out, and the dance can begin. Instinct. My nose, as an instinct, tells me that this is much more complex and much deeper than the first version, and the interview with the perfumer on the official YouTube channel of the brand Carl Kling really puts the finishing touch on everything said. The most unusual form of fig ever created: somewhat milky, somewhat raw, somewhat the juiciness of an overripe fig, followed by the smell of sweat on the skin, powdery/dusty (thanks to the iris and violet for that), and the conclusion that this is truly Nuit. A specific Nuit evening theme that doesn’t take a leaf, but a fully ripened fruit. Maybe the fruit of imagination? Maybe I’ve just given myself the answer, or at the same time, asked the question: What the hell is this? :D Hehe. Interesting, people, very interesting, and a completely different bite of fig. Thank you, Carl, thank you, Kling, for serving up such an intriguing gourmet fragrance that breaks stereotypes. If I ever wore this, it would definitely be at a private home party, where everyone is relaxed and laid-back, and the evening is led by semi-whispered conversations while music plays in the background. It could also work for a backyard party (without the barbecue, the milk boiling over is enough), we don’t need the scent of burning wood here. Maybe roasted marshmallows? Nah, I’ll skip that. Let’s go straight to dessert. Spring, autumn, winter, nature, open space, or a more intimate closed atmosphere. For perfume fanatics, this could be the ideal scent for bedtime. In the morning, it will greet you on your skin subtly, with a smile. But please, watch out for the milk.

I picked up "Fig Nuit" this summer and I have to say it was love at first spray. It immediately became clear to me.this is the scent of the season, the perfume of my summer. It is divine. I expected a classic, green fig, but this is something else entirely. The fig is the main star here, but it's so well-blended with the other notes that it’s never too intense or too sweet. It’s balanced to perfection. The scent is simultaneously fresh, creamy, and a little mysterious. It’s not your typical light summer perfume; it has a certain depth to it (that "nuit"/night element) that makes it perfect for both hot days and warm summer evenings. The longevity is solid, and the sillage is just discreet enough, but noticeable. People often complimented me when I wore it. If you're looking for something unique, refined, and a scent that will transport you to the Adriatic with every inhale, Fig Nuit is a bullseye. I absolutely adore it.8/10

Blind bought a 10 ml travel size and perfectly happy. I would describe this perfume as a mix of the dark vanillic patchouli in Parfums de Marly Carlisle and the green fig and violet in L’artisan Parfumeur Caligna. This carries the calm, serene shaded forest vibes of the latter. It’s an intoxicating, harmonious blend. I can detect the orris and it’s beautifully combined in the background with the milky fig. Normally I don't find fresh orris scents pleasant but this is really nicely balanced. Unisex enough for me to wear and not overly masculine, but a dark evening scent that doesn’t fit the profile of what I usually wear. I aim for lighter fruity notes in the summer but this might be better when the weather cools down in a few months.

Fig Nuit -A Velvet Purple Dream. Feels like a plush, burgundy cozy evening wrap. Deep fruit, purple mist, Velvet iris meets the night, Soft, fading shadow. A Haiku Fig Nuit is a study in "purple" tones. The opening features rich black currant and davana for a sophisticated, boozy-fruity feel. The heart is a dense, velvety study in iris and osmanthus, providing a plush, suede-like texture. It dries down to a gentle landing of vanilla and patchouli. Every note is readily recognizable and beautifully balanced. Soft, intimate sillage; 4–6 hour longevity. Sweet, soft & sensual.

My impression is "medicinal fig". There's fig, powder, sweetness, and a carroty, medicinal orris. It's interesting and mature. I think you need to like the violet/orris/powder notes to like this.

it’s soo vintage leaning i feel like the notes don’t fit the fragrance at all i don’t know what’s going on. It’s so headache inducing and harsh. It has almost non existent lasting power

I met Carl recently at a perfume expo in Stockholm where I got a sample. I was struck by his passion and the brands ethos of letting perfumers express their vision, and I was struck after trying Fig Nuit – Antoine has done it again! If Clary Fig is the bright Mediterranean day, Fig Nuit is its seductive evening counterpart. The fragrance hits immediately with dark, juicy violet and blackcurrant, creating an immediate depth that tells you this isn't your typical fresh fig scent. As it develops, the fig note emerges through complex layers of earthy orris root and osmathus, creating a rich, velvety, floral, and almost wine-like ripeness. It's as if the fig matures over the day, getting darker, riper. It's luxurious and sexual, but not in a way gives masculine or feminine associations. In the end the patchouli base anchors everything perfectly, and there is this comforting marshmallowy sweetness from the vanilla and milk. I love it. The perfume sits with me until the day after, and I love that I can now wear fig – with a different touch – well into fall and winter. Again, it's great to see Carl and Antoine deliver another great perfume and I believe they have outdone themselves this time. This is a dark and sophisticated masterpiece, and I believe Fig Nuit and Clary Fig will become classics of the fig genre.

Fig Nuit is the more mysterious, evening counterpart to Clary Fig, which I love unconditionally. Just like Clary Fig, it takes an unconventional approach to the fig note. Instead of a leafy, green accord, you get fresh, ripe fruit and a sweet, rich fig paste. The berry–violet opening of Fig Nuit made me form preconceptions, and I almost passed on it, thinking I couldn’t pull it off. But I really wanted to see what the darker, more passionate version of Clary Fig had to say. In the end, it won me over and made me more open to exploring and expanding my taste. After a complex and daring opening, Fig Nuit reveals an exotic, fruity fig note with a slightly floral, powdered effect. If you love iris in all its forms, from root to tip, this one presents the note in a very interesting way. The final stage of the scent is milky, creamy, skin-like, and very innocent. The notes are not to be analyzed dividually. Fig Nuit must be experienced as a whole, as it is a one-of-a-kind composition that moves through beautiful and interesting stages. *Just a fragrance enthusiast, nothing more.
