Opens with a lovely waft of warm wood, some Christmas spice, and rich bergamot and grapefruit... over the next couple of hours, evolves into more of a skin scent – but a heavy and dense experience, almost smouldering tonka / leather / tobacco / amber haze. I get whiffs of it as I move around, and am sure I’m not alone in that... so, some decent performance too. I don’t need to go searching for it. The scent is dry – and in a good way. Later – four hours or so in – the scent has shed most of the bergamot. Closer to the body now – vanilla, almond, leather, and sweet tobacco dominate. Still peppery. Still easily discernable to others who get close. Very good. Still going nicely 5.5 hours in - vanilla and almond plus pepper. I am impressed.

I have to agree with every review written below. This is a very good fragrance! We got lucky with this though. I paid 17 euro for 30 ml at TK Maxx but that is far below the usual price. 40 euro on their website for the same volume, and I only see one or two other sellers. Scentwise! It smells creamy, slightly spiced. There is a hint of something green, something nutty. Like a hint of gourmand in there.The drydown is just great. It is so well blended. As mentioned on the Carlo Colucci website, the notes: Bergamot, grapefruit, black pepper. Suitability: Daytime and evening. Not a nighttime clubbing scent, it is a bit too cozy and not loud enough. Anything but the high heat or extreme cold. It is different from the current mainstream scents so this might work very well on a cozy date. Pretty unisex. I had my little daughter compare this to the also very nice niche scent sample (full price 225 euro). She liked this one better. I cannot really fault her either. I need a backup bottle!

Update: I’ve been spraying this on my girls - they all love it. I think it’s gorgeous on my girlfriend. Currently £12.99 for 30ml at TKMaxx. Have bought a bunch of bottles - one for my girlfriend, and the rest as backups and/or gifts.

Wow, for the price it's a steal! It's great, really. Very rich sweet vanilla and tobacco mix with some spices. Reminds of a 10x more expensive PdM Herod. If you see it on the shelf, grab at least one bottle, you won't be disappointed!

As mentioned below, it's an absolute steal. I'm getting a strong Bvlgari Man in Black vibe from it. What a fantastic autmun/winter fragrance. Super cozy and with decent longevity.
