Besos

Ok, so i have just ordered this first out of the 6-7 Carners I want. Not because it’s my favorite because I don’t think it is and no i definitely do not have money to burn. I chose this as it is a lovely all rounder scent, that yes does smell like fresh laundry so I think it will be a good ᖴᖇᗩᘜᖇᗩᑎᑕᗴ to have that I think will get used often and won’t be one that excites me too much but that I could possibly tire of quickly. This is a good all rounder and it seems light but there is something persistent about it. I thought I was anosmic to it as I thought with the other carners too BUT I kept catching wafts of something just plain good smelling and it was me (aka besos) the same as I found with the other corner fragrances. I’ve found carner fragrances themselves to be quietly persistent but never loud or commanding and slowly losing pace. Instead they are steadfast and just simply good but they are special. My favorites are the spices, cuirs and palo santo but they will have to wait their seasonal turn as even though they’re reasonable for niche fragrances theyre still pricey for the common person in todays economic climate or someone who is just greedy for all the carners like me. Enjoy this for what it is a great easy reach on those days you dont necessarily want to smell perfumey but just want to smell fresh, pleasant and pretty and just spring cleaned the house. Edit: I think this is my favourite perfume of them all. I feel content, clean and happy in this. Beautiful subtle but somehow strong scent. Edit again: this is my favourite scent of all time. Don’t like saying signature, feels corny. This has made me realise how much I love an iris/ jasmine combination. Iris for the powdery feels and jasmine for the classy/ clean/ sophistication. Together they create something so clean and fresh but pretty. I think the reason I love this so much is because it doesn’t feel like a perfume it enhances a feeling of cleanliness and just feeling good. A feeling that I always want to feel. I love carner fragrances.

Besos is another great offering from Carner Barcelona. Besos (kisses in Spanish) starts light and musky with iris and citrus. The dry down is powdery and clean. Great for a hot summer day.

Rich, musky and powdery Besos (Spanish for kisses) has a big spicy jasmine sambac heart. The volatile carefree flower is anchored with earthy powdery iris absolu and ambery benzoin.

I do love Besos, for me it smells like body lotion so I feel creamy and have a huge summer vibe. My husband loves it a lot on my. definitely need a full size bottle.

I really don’t understand all the hate. I think this is very sexy in a cozy and Inoffensive way. Airy and intimate and really nice.

I obtained a sample of this recently because it is on sale at the boutique in my city that carries it. I didn't want to just blind buy it, so I wore the sample today. It's a nice fragrance. The opening is a bit erratic, though. At first, for less than 5 minutes I pick up the manderin and pepper with iris in the background but that fades very quickly and the iris takes center stage with the musk supporting in the background. The jasmine and benzoin mix in and as others have stated, it takes on a very strong soapy detergent vibe for the next 30 minutes or so, after that the detergent vibe gives way to just a clean, musky iris mix with a bit of sweetness thanks to the benzoin and vanilla. It's very nice in the far drydown but there is absolutely, at least on my skin, an almost unpleasant soapiness in between the opening and drydown. I think this could have been blended much better but it gets better the longer you wear it. Longevity is very good on my skin, as it's been 12 hours at this writing and I'm still catching pretty strong wafts. Projection and sillage were moderate from my skin. Smell : 7.5/10. Could be better if it were blended smoother, that 30 minutes of harsh detergent/soapiness is pretty rough. It would score higher if it weren't for that. Longevity : 10/10 12 hours and counting... Projection : 6/10 projected about 3 or 4 feet for the first two hours but 35-45 minutes of that time, you wish it didn't. Sillage : 6.5/10, the scent trails were more pleasant the actual projection but fades quite quickly. Overall : 7/10 Finally thoughts ... At first I thought I was smelling a niche version of Prada L'Homme but the blend of Besos is somewhere more inbetween Prada L'Homme and Parle Moi De Parfum Orris Tattoo. I think this is nice enough but not quite as nice as either of the others mentioned. Even though there's a special on this at the boutique, I think I'll stick with my Prada L'Homme which is soapy, clean but never harsh. I think this is worth a smell and sample. Always try it before you commit to buy!

I’m liking this brand a lot. So far Danzatoria is my favorite, but wish I could smell it on me a bit more. I think maybe go nose blind to it. When sniffing the sprayer now of that while wearing this, I love it more & can really better detect the oriental dna of that ... smells like gold & amber, champagne ... feels sexier, but I still get a little bit bored with it after a while like it’s linear. Tardes, I’ve tested twice, I think decidedly don’t like it. It gave me a headache & just didn’t suit me personally, it is a very unique & well blended perfume ... Anyway, this is very powdery but in a dry musky sort of way. I prefer the creaminess of orris. But I think it’s more complex in the dry down than people are describing here. I get hints of the mandarin. I don’t care for citrus but this brightens it a bit, adds sweetness. I’m trying to find something which smells like a lotion, makeup, clean but sexy vibe for year around. I will say this is better than a lot of the powdery iris perfumes I’ve tried so far. & so glad no rose. That to me is what makes the powder smell old fashioned in many of these ... It’s better than dedcool milk which to me smells more like laundry & cheap. This is definitely more like in the vein of what I’m searching for once it is drying down. I’ll have to continue to test. I also want something for a young man to sniff me up close, like a pretty skin scent. I wanted something more feminine than Danzatoria. This one is. I’m just not sure if this makes me feel sexy or too innocent or too old yet. I still just love Danzatoria & need a big bottle of that so far. This may be one to purchase also ... time will tell. Update: I’m testing today bc I’m craving clean girl lotion smell for fall & so far I’m liking this a lot today. It’s cooler today & seems like it isn’t SOO powdery, more creamy. My nose is trying to make sense of it more. I’ll prob need a full bottle immediately. I’m layering with Phloria lotion for extra white floral powdery lotion skin scent vibes.

I really like this. It isn't my go-to or my favorite, but it's nice. On me it smells like clean laundry, Dove deodorant, and black pepper. These are all good things in my book. Is it sexy? No. Is it groundbreaking? Nope. But when I want a shower-clean scent, and a bit of Sunday-morning-doing-the-laundry nostalgia, this is great. I live somewhere very hot and very humid, and so perfumes can be obnoxious during summer if I'm not careful. This projects without punching anyone in the face, and within 2 hours it is only detectable within arm's length or if I walk past. Lasts a good 4 hours on me before I need to reapply, but probably would last longer on someone else. I don't smell the vanilla, mandarin, or jasmine in this, really. I only get the benzoin, iris, and pepper. I suspect the vanilla, mandarin, and jasmine are in the formula to warm it up a bit, without being detectable notes themselves. All in all, I'd say that this would be a safe blind buy for anyone looking for a Dove deodorant dupe, or if the sound of kinda spicy laundry appeals to you.

It's pleasant enough but on this clouded over Saturday morning, it get all the basenotes and none of the top or middle ones. It's musk, and it's vanilla, so it smells clean and homely. I like it, but I don't love it. I would accept it gladly as a gift, feel no remorse in using it as a pillow spray, but wouldn't spend money (when there are so many more exciting things to buy!) I miss the Iris, which is what I was looking for, and I really miss the jasmine - the combination of advertised notes (mandarin plus pepper and jasmine) would have been something exactly right for summer, but I can't detect it, so this fails for me. Update: this is all topsy turvy basenotes first and top notes later - the mandarin (or citrus fruit in any case) comes through after an hour), encased in the warmth and cleanliness of the musk and vanilla.

Predominantly a synthetic iris fragrance, which I'd hoped would be nicer, but it hits the nose like an afront in the supermarket laundry product aisle. In fairness, perhaps I have a sensitive sniffer. If the benzoin and vanilla would just temper it with some sweetness it might help but their effect is so miniscule. I mean shouldn't a "kiss" be sweet(?) Can't. Instant headache. ✨

Very nice scent. This is all about a deep musky iris with strong benzoin note and strong jasmine. There is also a mild soap vibe. The orange with the spices are shortlived. Completely unisex scent for mild weather (although it leans slightly towards feminine scents), spring, fall, day and night. Also it would be nice for cool summer evenings. Performance is moderate overall.

Oh my baby wipessss water (the opening) The dry down is Full of LUST! Like Vanilla-Musk Powder that turns me on 🫦💦 My 50 ml bottle is EMPTY now! Is there anything similar to this (cheaper please 😋)? Let me know 🤪

This one is very light, sweet, slightly sticky, and aldehydic, like a gentler Channel :) I smell mostly orange, benzoin, and jasmine with musk.

Cozy, fluffy, powdery. Baby shampoo and a cashmere blanket.

Soapy, more accurately like shampoo bubble scent.

Well this is definitely not a favorite, and I get the cold, pavement feel particularly as it settles onto skin. I have only used it sparingly in the past 4-5 years of owning it, never pulling the plug on it completely and that is... strange for me. It is *unique* and odd. Yet there is something about it that simply tickles my fancy even if it is somewhat banal (or even a bit off-putting). It is exceptionally soapy clean, almost astringent at first, and then powder. Musky, soapy, powder. Layered it today with Del Mar from Day Three and it was absolutely a winner; neither perfume, imo, are particularly excellent on their own, and both have a bit of something funky to them which can certainly turn some noses completely off. But I found the combination to be effervescent, clean, refreshing; the heat of the day lended itself towards toning down the stuffiness of Besos while highlighting the citrus-florals of Del Mar. Not sure if I am doing an about-face on Besos but this was certainly a much welcomed (and much more enjoyable!) development.

Besos' scent profile spells a dream fragrance for me. A powdery, musky, vanillic amber-iris concoction? Please sign me up. But...it is more appropriate as a linen spray or body care scent. As a scent on the skin, this is something I'd want to smell on and associate with someone else. A grandma, an aunt, a best friend. Wearing it myself just doesn't feel RIGHT. Very lotion-like. I think if the pepper were turned up a bit, this would have far more potential. If there were any occasion when I could or would spray it on myself it'd be directly after a bath. But still, I have better scents for that.

I'm not a big fan: once again, I have this synthetic jasmine aspect that I hate, as well as a weird tangerine one, and that gives an astringent/bitter/rough or even household product side to the perfume. I think it ruins everything pleasant in this perfume that is supposed to be powdery. The vanilla and the iris, I don't feel them. I really don't read anything that would pull on the amber/spicy, nor strictly speaking on the earthy/organic. On the contrary, it's a perfume that I think is overall chalky, inanimate, and cold. Not a big fan: something bothers me.

Now that that’s out of the way... what in the world was this? This is not just cloying - it’s hostile. It’s powder on powder, with some talc on top. This smells like someone screaming in your ear while tugging your sleeve: “I’M DEMURE AND SWEET!!! I JOURNAL IN CURSIVE!!! I’M A HEALED FEMININE PRESENCE! I RUN A HEALING CIRCLE FOR PEOPLE I’VE OUTGROWN!!”

Ohh No this was not what i imagined it to be. This i straight up laundry detergant. A Sharp unplesent, starchy linen. This is so dry and astringed opens very peppery, musky, jasmin and dry Iris. I cant detect much warmth or kindness here. I thought the benzoin would be more vanillic and give it a kind vibe! Warm it up abit "Besos " kisses but not of the Warm kind, very distant and polite. Not for me. But glad i got to try it so i can get it out of my head.

Meh, it’s ok. Not very different than others I have tried. Very generic to me. Thank God, I only got a decant. Longevity is excellent by the way, sillage is also very good. If you like citrus and iris scent this is a good one for you. Unisex for sure and excellent for summer in the heat.

This is really far out masculine in the dry down. First it is an nice Iris powder pepper vintage fur-coat, than it developed to a masculine sexy thing. Not a tiny bit feminin in the dry down.

very powdery and very strong and long lasting which is a plus if you like it. it smells a lot like cream or a laundry detergent to me (in a bad way), not a fan :/

Alas, my search for the perfect iris scent continues... This is REALLY synthetic to me. It's sharp, dry, and dusty. There's something a little sour in here throughout its life on my skin - and strangely enough I think it's the benzoin. I'll pass on this scent. For what it's worth, it's linear on me, so if you like the beginning, I guess you'll like the rest of the perfume too.

Opens with a powdery musk, slightly remnant of a deodorant spray. Fairly one-dimensional, clean skin and baby powder. Smells cheap.

Creamy washing powder with a tiny little odd metallic almond twang, like eating it off a spoon. Normally when people whinge about perfumes smelling like cleaning products, or wipes, or fresh clean nappies or sanitary towels I think what are you moaning about? Those things are designed to smell pleasant! But here I don't fancy it much either. Creamy almondy detergent isnt even a good cleaning product smell, manages to feel cheap n try hard at the same time. It gets fresher n cooler as it goes along but it never stops feeling horribly functional. And I know the distinction between 'natural' n 'synthetic' is complex, debateable etc etc, but this really smells 'manmade' to me, like a perfectly clean synthetic environment where all life from the micro to the macro has ceased to be. Absolutely suffocating in feel, like diving into a mountain of washing powder granules and choking on them. Another reviewer said the box describes it as 'sultry', which is amazing marketing for something that is one of the least sexy, most sexless things I ever smelled. I think they must've meant 'sultry' as in stifling. Addendum: I was too nice. This is foul. Harsh almond flavour washing powder that feels not powdery soft but abrasive like pumice. Dry yet nauseating. Not a kiss but suffocation. I won't be trying again.

I bought a full bottle of this because it was on a really good sale (like $40 for 100ml on MaxAroma), heard a lot of good reviews... but I hated it. I typically love powdery, love iris, love laundry sents, love jasmine... I felt like the notes looke a little similar to Narciso Rouge which I love... but I found this pretty repulsive. I don’t think it’s the notes, it’s the balance of the notes. It smelled like Turkish delights drenched in tide detergent. That doesn’t even sound that bad actually but there’s something about this that smells off, like two smells that don’t go together. And when I say laundry detergent I mean literal thick liquid detergent smell, NOT the aura of fresh laundry on dry clothing. it is unexpectedly BEAST MODE, which is a positive if you like it.

An iris and mostly white musk bomb. Way to powdery for me and I think you can find something similar for a better price, even in oriental perfumes. I'm not an expert as this is not the kind of scents I usually go for, but I was curious to test it out. If you like this scent profile, I'd say check out Tardes from the brand, a bit woodier and more complex (or even Danzatoria). Longevity and projection are not great either, but I guess it's just right for the hotter seasons. Somebody compared it to baby wipes, I kind of see it, to me at first sniff it reminded me of Dove deodorant, the classic one. It's also very linear so not much changes in the dry-down, but I am sure there will be people who love it.

This perfume is a bit of an enigma to me. The box describes it as sultry. I expected it to be an iris style powdery perfume but actually to my nose, it is a beautiful laundry musk type perfume. The weird thing is that there are no traditional laundry type notes there- orange blossom, aldehyde, Lily of the valley etc. so there is this olfactory tromp d’oeille (would that de a tromp de nez?). It is not sultry at all, but more like a soft freshly laundered t shirt. Pretty much my favourite every day smell! It is not as obvious as Per Se or Blanche. More like Ceramic by Andrea Maack. Try it and see how it presents itself to you! Unisex, moderate sillage and longevity

This one smells like clean laundry, but in a very very good way. It’s powdery and comforting and lasts a really long time on my skin which is rare for me. I also love to layer it with other perfumes. This to me is more of an relaxed, t-shirt and jeans kind of perfume, I mostly wear it when I’m at home. Beautiful cozy blanket perfume.

Spicy orange, jasmine and musk with a hint of vanilla creates a powdery, soft scent that reminds me of an expensive face cream with sensuality. It is a discreet scent of warm intimacy that conjures images of Egyptian cotton bed sheets, laughter and kisses in bed on a beautiful crisp Saturday morning.

Bubbly body soap. This one reminds me allot of the bath bubbles, pouring some body bubble soap and have a dip inside! it has iris, benzoin, musk, slight pepper, orange, magnolia, & sweet factor. It is soapy, and reminds me of the 90s clean fragrances. Interesting.

I am on the fence with this one. It gives a very strong iris & powdery dryness. After a while, just when I thought I might like it, it reminded of babywipes. I am a bigger fan of Tardes, Danzatoria and Supermoon among the Carner fragrances I tried.

ok. I have been testing this fragrance. Is EXACTLY like tardes from the same brand but softer and without the heliotrope note.. But is in the same vein... if you like o have tried tardes.. you will love this.. plat

Powdery vintage floral bomb -very old fashioned. Had to wash it off lasting power is intense it won’t come off. If you like baby powder this is right up your alley.

Powdery musky scents are my thing and I really like this one (on blotter). Smells quite similar to Molinard Héliotrope! Soft and soapy
