Ibiza Nights

It’s early days with my 15ml but it’s a light fruity floral. Out of all the carners I’ve bought I’m most underwhelmed by this so far. I get a whiff of some citrus smell and then it’s white florals but then the scent feels like it’s gone. I get a slight dirty tone underneath the overall essence of the fragrance which I think is how my nose detects the ylang ylang note. I hope it grows on me and if it does I’ll update. For now I’m a little underwhelmed at both the fragrance and the strength. Stunning bottle as always from Carner. They are my favourite house so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt where this scent is concerned 😉 Edit: it’s getting better. Edit: of course it is it’s Carner. Edit: chameleon. Wow, my favourite of the dream collection. What’s happened? This is part of the reason I love smell and fragrance. It’s so captivating, mysterious and thought provoking. This has a fullness I didn’t detect before, a deep wholeness. Then I sniff more and it changes again. I sniff deeper and that dirty ylang comes through but now I think I like it. This fragrance has got my attention. I’m intrigued. I’m going to wear this some more I think. Edit ✍️ this is magical 🧙I went outside and I was surrounded by a beautiful and I mean beautiful Essence radiating around me in a way I can only describe as magical. It wasn’t whiffs of a smell it was something more than that, it seemed to transcend the air and almost illuminate my senses in ethereal flashes. Like silk billowing in and out and caressing my senses. I only went to put the bin out and I had to stand outside for longer to let the beauty illuminate my senses. I don’t think I’ve had a moment like that with a fragrance before. It is not one dimensional it completely keeps its true character under a veil of mystery. As I’m sitting here (I reapplied before bed) I would describe this as an extremely smoothly blended voluptuous full bodied scent with charisma. This is something quite special and not my usual go to. I’ve never gone from meh/dislike to so completely intrigued by any fragrance ever. Wow. Carner has done it again! Also I think I now appreciate the effect of ylang ylang here. After the pepper and ylang and all the other sparkling notes have danced their twinkling dance 🪩 the night closes in and there is a warmth of comfort in the air and benzoin is the comforter. I love this note I get the same dry down note as Loccitane terre de lumiere sparkling edition. Which is also beautiful. This though is more citrus and spicy settling into a bed of amber in the night 🌚

I detest Versace Dylan blue. I actually had it, gifted and gave away. This, smells nothing like it. In my opinion. Nothing. Something very addictive and intoxicating about this. I think it can be heady if you overspray but it’s something very lively and captivating. I own a small 15ml that I’ve used up, I haven’t done this with my nearly 50 frags I own ( I barely dent any of them, the only other one is a 25 ml omnia crystalline) and I keep sniffing it from the bottle trying to decide if I need more perfumes. Yes I do. I’m currently clearing out and buying only if I sell one. Which I did so now well here it comes ;) btw the bottle is even more stunning in person 💙🩵 ✨ Edit: I really don’t want to say this and I can’t guarantee if it’s a weather affect or hayfever/ sinus issues but I purchased the full 100ml bottle. I contacted Carner by email to see if they removed the clove note as it’s still mentioned on their website but NOT on their box packaging and that could be what is giving it is complexity, sparkle, strength and overall magic.... and they never got back to me. I spray and spray and it’s incredibly weak compared to my old 15ml even when I sniff the empty from the bottle. I spent way over £100 that I smell when I spray then poof it’s gone. I’m not writing it off but something is definitely not right here. I am disappointed because it’s a stunningly made fragrance, well my 15ml definitely was and I’d like to speak to someone to find out if they’ve made changes since that production due to regulations or business not. That we’ll probably get truth if money is the real reason. Feel let down my Carner as they are one of my favourite perfume brands.

I’m still loving this. Half way through my 15ml (edit: 85% way through) going to buy a full bottle. It just keeps growing on me and definitely signature scent worthy for me. I didn’t see that coming! I get mostly, magnolia and anise with ylang ylang complementing each other. The blend is incredible and like nothing I’ve ever smelled before. A truly hypnotising and captivating scent. Don’t write this off until you get to know it. It’s like a delectable mystery that keeps you wanting to know more. It’s my favourite out of the dream collection. My top 3 carners alongside of Palo santo and rockstar ;) Beautiful bottle too 💙

I like this and so does my hubby. It's got a nice blend of citrus, fruit and white florals in the opening that makes it just a little unique. It's got good strength and projection. I received a free sample with a shipment of something else and I like it enough to maybe try a decant in the future.

Love this one too, sampled it for my friend and after a long search she found a new lasting love. It’s a master piece, fresh notes completely aligned with the white flowers and a perfect, not too sweet and not too heavy, base with patchouli and vanilla. Yum.

In a world of repetitive fresh fragrances, this is a stand out. Floral, tropical, and bright. This was gorgeous

Ibiza Nights is surprisingly similar to Latin Lover, also from Carner Barcelona - both are sweet white florals that feel quite noughties in style. IN can be described as an aquatic fruitchouli-floriental to be precise - but is a simple, predictable composition. While it's not my thing, it is objectively not bad - a sweet feminine scent that is pleasant and ideal for everyday, spring/summer wear. IN opens with sweet, juicy pear - a note I associate with noughties-era designer releases. Sweet orange complements it, and clean, soapy white florals develop in the background. Aquatic magnolia is evident, followed by clean, powdery jasmine. The aquatic fruity notes remain, adding sweetness. As it develops, it gets slightly more creamy, with tropical ylang ylang enhancing the floral-fruity accord to perfection. It remains pretty aquatic overall. A cloud of patchouli follows, adding earthiness, with some soft woody notes enhancing it nicely. Some dry, powdery vanilla keeps things sweet as it dries down, with a musky amber accord coming to the fore during the later stages. It fades to a sweet, musky skin scent - dry rather than aquatic at this point. Sillage and longevity are moderate. Like Latin Lover, IN is soapy without being aldehydic, and is centred on sweet-but-limp white florals with a musky-patchouli base. I prefer LL, given its green undertone and the fact that I dislike aquatic scents in general, but IN is not bad overall. Dull and unmemorable, but inoffensive. 2.5/5.

A very pleasant, likeable scent that would be suitable for daily wear. Initially I really liked it, the first hour was blissful, some spicy notes of anise playing with citrus and sunny florals. I was hoping it would keep this phase all trough the wear and I would be rewarded with a long lasting floral fruity of high quality. Unfortunately it projected strongly only for the first hour and had almost left my skin completely by 4-5h mark. It is completely fine though with some floral fruities I would pick up at the cosmetics store priced below 50-60 EUR, but for 170 EUR for 100ml...I just would not justify buying something that lacks staying power and all in all also lacks originality. A Moschino floral fruity that was gifted by my ex MIL does the same and gives the same vibe without breaking the bank. Pass even though the scent itself is lovely.

The opening is akin to some sort of sickly pink Givenchy affair, then the pear dissappears pretty much immediately and it morphs into Eau de Magnolia. I have Eau de Magnolia so I don't need this.

Strong sea salty bomb here, not really getting much else. Dissapointed consodering the notes that are listed.

Nose Note #222 Reminds me of Givenchy Organza, but lighter. An Organza for the summer. Has the same "fresh garden" toilet-freshener vibes. There it was gardenia, here it's magnolia. It's pleasant, but not outstanding.

Similar vibe to bal d’afrique, very soapy, head inducing. My sister in law loves both scents and she recommended them. I like it on her, but on my skin is just making me sick a bit.

Pleasant but forgettable, freshie floral.

This is a very-very synthetic fruity floral fragrance. It has some sharp note that makes me sick.

Nie byłam nigdy na Ibizie ale po nutach wyobrażałam sobie jej atmosferę jako wypełnioną bogatym słodkim nektarem kwiatów, słodyczą owoców i wanilii. No i się nie myliłam. Jest bardzo słodko, upojnie, wręcz przytłaczająco. Słodka gruszka z mandarynką co za wspaniałe połączenie, godne zapamiętania. Mnie urzekło od początku. Szkoda, że tak szybko wygasa i wybija się Magnolia. To jest kobieta, która chce być zauważona. Potem jest podobnie do Black Opium-ów. Nie czuć paczuli w jej piwnicznym wydaniu. Jest słodko do samego rana.... Zapach polecałabym na randkę, wyjście do klubu, jest seksowny, zmysłowy ale dla mnie zbyt podobny do BO co nie znaczy, że nie będę używać. Niech no tylko dostanę jakieś zaproszenie na randkę, co ma się zapach marnować. Kochanieeeeeee czekam, nie musisz mnie od razu na Ibizę zabierać do kawiarni wystarczy.

Give this fragrance the time it deserves to develop into the beauty that it is. It definitely starts out as a strong floral, but it becomes this scent that I can only describe as twinkly. It is so well blended! It's definitely one of those scents where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. After purchasing a small 0.7 ml sample and using it over the course of a week, I was addicted and purchased a full bottle. Edit: spraying it directly onto my wrists reduces the floral scent and it immediately turns into the twinkly blend I love.

Ugh, magnolia. Why are Niche creators obsessed with this floral? It's very thick and overbearing and dominates scents with a very creamy and fleshy petal tone that quickly becomes cloying yet has that juxtaposed 'lemony' elenet ot it. I like smelling magnolias on the unique trees as a one-off as the lemony aspect is much more pronounced - but that sort of accord should *not be finding its way into scents like Ibiza which should remain strictly a fun, fruity aquatic.

The fruity pear, magnolia, jasmine, vanilla, and musks all come together to form that common designer 90s and early 2000s feel. Really nothing groundbreaking, but if you enjoy that style of fragrance and simply want something a bit more refined and upgraded, then this is surely not a bad scent at all.

I never been to Ibiza so I can't say if the fragrance is true to its name. However, it does transport me to a tropical island on a cool night. The cold air from the sea mixes with the white florals. I got a bottle because it is gorgeous.

I liked aquatic Carner before, but now it’s a bit sweet for me, something changed, so sad Two years ago I felt the sea, the wind and colorful paint before my eyes. I call it “perfume development”.
