212 Surf for Her

Wore this one for the day. Really fresh, fruity, beach scent. Definitely for summer days sat with a cocktail. But to be honest, a bit cliché and I've definitely smelled plenty summer editions like this. Didn't last too long on me - perhaps 2 hours which is a shame. 5/10

Cheap smelling is all I have to say! Ok, it's fresh, and fun but not so good. The smell by itself is not bad, but it's too bland! It doesn't even smell very oceanic! What I smell is some kind of fruit... Maybe some musky mango and orange? IDK... The sea note is very subtle. It does have a tropical feeling to it, but what does it have to set itself apart from other tropical scents? Nothing!

I can't believe there's only sea notes, woodsy notes and musk represented in the notes. I am quite sure there was something a little fruity about it in the top notes. But mostly it smells soapy to me. Smells like the water when you put some cheap soap in it. Very boring. At least it smells clean.

I picked this up because summer is on it's way and I have a weakness for summer fragrances especially those that are limited editions. I have no regrets buying it because the bottle itself is lovely, very pretty and the colors it brought to my fragrance shelf were most welcome. The juice inside however, is rather unpleasant and I repeat what the review below mine says... it smells a bit foul... It was not a complete shock only because I was some what expecting this scent inside because the surf points always tend to have this kind of smell. Being Maldivian I am familiar with the atmosphere this fragrance creates, it smells like the beach during low tide, when the water recedes and the corals are exposed to the air and the sun. The opening is pleasant with a hint of what could be fruity or floral notes .... but the smell of the reef hiding underneath is quick to appear revealing the true character behind the fragrance. It is not your typical easy summer fragrance, this is ever so specific.... this is for the surfer, the real deal! :)

Well, the ad campaign is certainly an detractor. Pasty, scrawny, concave chest,knobbly kneed red heads risking sun stroke is not the thing to lure me in. Hitting too close to home from a marketing perspective. Perversely, I now wish to try it all the more. The bottle for women has a cute, throw in your beach bag look.
